Happy for him. He submitted Battle of the Bastards for consideration and that was one of the best hours of tv that I’ve ever seen. I hope he wins.

    • Matador says:

At this point, he has not selected any episode. The nominees for acting (outside of guest categories) are voted on without a specific episodes. The nominees *do* submit a specific episode title, though with the improved voting system (i.e., popular vote) it is less critical than when winners were chosen by small committees holed up in a hotel room watching designated episodes.

  2. Intro Outro says:

Happy for Harington, loved him in season 6 for subtlety and nuanced acting (especially in episodes 3 and 9). Not sure he’ll win though. However, speaking about Game of Thrones, I wish Sophie Turner got a nom instead of Emilia Clarke. Perhaps this is the fault of the writers, but I find Daenerys quite single-dimensional these past couple of seasons. I hope D&D will make her face some REAL challenges in season 7 because it was pretty obvious she would deal with both Dothraki lords and the Slavemasters in the blink of an eye.

    • Megan says:

Agreed. I was really rooting for Sophie. I thought she turned out an amazing performance this season.

    • Beth says:

Emilia Clarke is not a great actress. Partly it’s the writing, but every time she’s in a scene, I am frustrated by the soap opera feel. She isn’t outrageously bad, but it’s noticeable enough to be distracting and highlighted by the exceptional performances by others on the show, including Sophie Turner.

People talked about what happened with Daenerys, but not about her acting. For example, no one was reading into a look that she gave at a specific moment. It was all very straightforward and blunt. Contrast that to the final look Sansa gave Little Finger in the final episode. We saw doubt, pride, calculation, and frustration all mixed together in a 3 second clip that had fans debating Sansa’s motivations and future plans.

      • Caity says:

Well, only the first 6 episodes are eligible for this years Emmy’s, so maybe Sophie will get her nom next year?

  3. Margo S. says:

So excited for kit! He was I credible this season. He’s really grown as an actor if you watch him in season 1 compared to now. Yay!

  4. Junelou says:

I love Kit Harington, but I cannot un-see a young George Costanza in the header photo.

    • Nancy says:

Holy crap! I was just looking at that picture and said to myself GEORGE COSTANZA!!!! Lol. So funny. Jon Snow can look quite cute at times, but has that Napoleon “short” man attitude. And please ladies don’t say I’m shaming short people!!!!!!! Good for him…..although I will root for Peter Dinklage since I find him to be an amazing actor.

      • Intro Outro says:

Haven’t noticed Napoleon complex in Jon Snow tbh, it seems to me he has SO many real problems to deal with that this particular issue doesn’t even register with him lol. His prettiness issue which the show regularly makes fun of is actually much more of a problem for a man in his situation xD

      • Nancy says:

Jon Snow is fine, but needs to learn patience, which will come with time, it’s Kit that seems to have issues galore regarding appearance, hair, yada yada, since we’re on a Seinfeld theme……I literally was saying George and then I saw Junelu’s comment. Funny…….

      • Intro Outro says:

@Nancy, oh you mean Harington himself! I guess he might have some height-related issues, although I haven’t really studied the matter so I won’t judge )) That picture with him, Turner and Gwen Christie in yellow dress where both ladies dwarf him by a mile is funny and cute though xD

    • Samtha says:

      Oh no… Now I can’t un-see it either.

    • princessbuttercup says:

      HAHAHAHAHAHA!

    • lucy2 says:

      O…M…G….

Can’t stand ya! Can’t stand ya!

    • themummy says:

Semi-to-non-interesting tidbit, Napoleon was actually quite tall for a man of his day. The idea that he was short is one of those odd bits of misinformation that just stuck. But he was actually considered tall at 5’9″ back then.

    • Veronica says:

I’m glad it wasn’t just me, haha. I had to do a double take before I realized who it was.

  5. poop says:

Question: are this years emmy’s in recognition of this season’s GoT? I wools imagine it was last years. I have no idea how it works I just got into it three days ago!

Also, can you imagine the reaction if Obama did that?

    • Juls says:

Looks like Bush got into Chaney’s weed stash again…….

    • Newyorking says:

      Omg that is awesome!!!!!

    • ronaldinhio says:

      Is he well?
This is genuinely disordered behaviour for a POTUS at a funeral
He is either misusing or mentally altered in some way
I hope he gets the help he needs

    • olcranky says:

Obama has been pilloried by the right for being disrespectful at this event because his speech was “offensive” to the right. But W dancing? IOKIYAR

  7. AnotherDirtyMartini says:

Yay Kit!! I’m so pleased. Loveeee him. He did do a great job ++++++

  8. Kilo Tango says:

Could ‘Kit Harrington Says Words’ become a regular feature? I envisage him on a big chesterfield sofa with many leather bound books and a cracking fire in the background. Kit sips on some aged single malt and gives us his musings on life….

  9. KB says:

He looks like a young Jason Alexander in that pic

    • KBeth says:

I can’t stand Kit, he was really good this season though. I love Emilia but I agree Sophie Turner is a superior actor.

  10. OriginallyBlue says:

He looks like a white version of my daughter’s sperm donor. Ugh.

  11. Snotface says:

Yay Kit! I’d like to see him win it over Peter Dinklage, but I don’t think that will happen.

  12. Anon33 says:

I’m confused…George Constanza Jr up there is a person people find attractive?!?

That George W. video is just… What? I mean, clearly some drug interactions gone bad or something. Or maybe alcohol? But I just don’t understand…
