Dolly is good people. She’s a treasure .

    • detritus says:

Did you know that Dolly is covered in secret tattoos? They are apparently beautifully coloured florals and butterflies, this is why she wears sleeves all the time.

It makes me like her more, for some reason.

      • ria says:

She seems to be quite lovely and really is colorfull so flowers and butterflies surely suits her.

      • detritus says:

Right ria? That’s what I thought to.
IT’s so perfect that her skin is beautiful art and reflects her lovely personality.

    • Cran says:

Dolly Parton is a special 🌹. I have always loved her. She is the most wonderful human being❤️❤️❤️🌞🌞🌞

    • SusanneToo says:

One of my former students worked with Dolly at Dollywood and said she really was a wonderful person. Very open minded and accepting.

    Y’all! 2016’s got me celeb-death SHOOK!
I saw “Dolly Parton has…” before fully focusing/reading and my stomach dropped.
Soooo relieved I was WRONG 😥 and I’m not even a “music fan” of hers, but LOVE her personality/honesty/candor…

  3. trollontheloose says:

the headphones approach to flirt is just o so creepy. I hate when a guy want me to take them off or when I read a book and they insist anyway. If I am in a mood for chat I wouldn’t have them on to begin with. If I am on the prowl I wouldn’t have neither my book nor music nor anything with me. can one just respect somebody’s space?

    • OhDear says:

It reeks of a refusal to respect boundaries.

      • Cran says:

Men need to learn to 1. Understand what boundaries are & 2. Respect them. In my experience men have been socialized that they have NO boundaries. Society needs to learn them the realities of life apply to them.

      • detritus says:

        Oh dear, YUP
‘Hello, you don’t know what you want, I know what you want. You want me! So you can feel flattered and special because of MY attention and interest. So please stop what you are doing so I can tell you how much you want me.’
        Barf.

      • Tiffany :) says:

OhDear, you summed that up very well.

      • Veronica says:

Last study I read on this issue concluded that men read social signals and understand boundaries just fine. They just ignore them in women. Color me just shocked.

    • SunnyD says:

This is the nail on the head. I wear mine all the time because I’m hearing impaired. I’m not ashamed of it, it’s just a massive waste of my time to try to communicate ‘I’m deaf’ to every person, sales clerk or man looking to chat.

It’s a unique situation I know, but headphones should be a really good indication someone doesn’t want to talk. I had a guy take them off my head on a train once and it scared the crap out of me.

    • GWEN says:

Yes sir much this. If my headphones are on it means I don’t want to talk, don’t try to take them off of my head or call me rude for not being interested in you.

    • Jwoolman says:

It’s the modern equivalent of having to sit next to a gabby stranger on the bus or plane…. No matter how I tried to focus on my reading material, they would chatter on and on and on. They apparently couldn’t imagine NOT talking. I should have pretended I didn’t speak English.

  4. Rhiley says:

I will be honest, these days I look at almost anything with “Foundation” in its name with a heavy dose of side eye.

    • ria says:

It is amazing what great Names some Foundation have and what great things they promise to do.
In the end, a lot of them are for positive Words to write in Wikipedia and for Taxes to save.

  5. jeanpierre says:

DiCaprio’s star is going to crash and burn one day. That guy is SHADY af. Good thing that scam was revealed.

    • Linda says:

He is shady. Now that there is a crack in the dam I am sure a flood of information will come out on him. He has to be the most blatant example of do as I say and not as I do on environmental issues.

    • Tiffany says:

It still boggles the mind that he walked away unscaved during the Dana Giachetto scandal. Why he would be dumb enough to start a foundation after his association with Dana is beyond me.

You can sleep your way through a V.S. catalog, gamble to your heart is content, and you can even have a group of friends with a derogatory name, but you do not, ever, run your charity as a scam. That is what will end you, money.

  6. Scootypuffjr says:

LOVE Dolly. She has always seemed like the sweetest, most down-to-earth person. Glad to know she really does show so much love!

  7. Jessie says:

To SunnyD: I’m so sorry that someone invaded your personal space like that!! I would be beyond livid if someone did that to me!! Seriously, what is wrong with men who do things like that? Women are NOT yours to annoy! 😤

Also, I love Dolly forever and always ❤️ She’s basically a tiny ball of love who can sing really well 😊
