Howard Dean is not going to delete his Donald Trump-cocaine tweet

This is just a quickie, but it’s a funny one. During Monday night’s debate, Donald Trump wouldn’t stop sniffling and breathing heavily in the microphone. Trump’s sniffles trended on Twitter, and no one could shut up about poor widdle Cheeto’s runny nose. Just for fun, here’s the sniffle supercut again:

As I already discussed earlier, Trump has denied sniffling through the debate. Because he lies like he sniffles: constantly. So, what’s the story? During the debate, former governor and former DNC-chairman Howard Dean tweeted this:

That tweet is still up, as you can see. The former DNC chairman and medical doctor wondering aloud if Trump has a cocaine problem. What makes this amazing is that Gov. Dean isn’t backing down! YAS.

In an interview with MSNBC’s Kate Snow Tuesday, Dean acknowledged it’s unlikely that 70-year-old Trump has a cocaine habit, but he didn’t rule it out.

“It’s something I think it’d be interesting to ask him and see if he ever had a problem with that,” Dean said. He added he wouldn’t delete the tweet. There was no immediate response from the Trump campaign to the question Dean posed. However, Trump told Fox News on Tuesday that there were “no sniffles” and that he didn’t have a cold.

[From NBC News]

I do think it’s amazing that Hillary Clinton’s surrogates are fighting Donald Trump on exactly the same kind of grounds that Trump’s surrogates (and Trump himself) used. A few weeks ago, all of Trump’s guys were concern-trolling Hillary’s health. Well, the worm has turned, hasn’t it? Many credible sources think that Donald Trump has a cocaine problem. It’s been reported in all of the papers that Trump possibly has a coke issue that affected his terrible, bigly, yugely disappointing debate performance. SAD! Sniffle on, bitches.

And if you want to hear something asinine from the main Hillary Health Truther himself, Rudy Giuliani, I suggest you read this.

There were no sniffles. Those 50 some sniffles you counted? You made that shit up because you’re part of the establishment.

    • Chloeee says:

Ah. Almost thought you were serious. Well played.

      • Marlene says:

But had there been sniffles, they would have been the best sniffles. Like, really good sniffles. No hoaxy sniffles from China, no. Just top notch, big league sniffles.

    • joan says:

      REMINDER:

Dean is a physician; many stories haven’t even cited that fact.

When you’re an MD you have a bit more standing to make a comment like that than some random yahoo does. He knows the symptoms.

  2. The Old KC says:

Anyone else find it funny that Dean was interviewed about Trump’s sniffly nose/possible cocaine habit by someone named Kate Snow?

Sorry, I sincerely apologize. Back to work…

  3. QQ says:

And I for One Love him for it!!

    • RedSoleSista says:

Me too. Say what you mean and mean what you say. I wouldn’t have deleted it either. When I comment, post, tweet you can best believe I meant it.

  4. Jwoolman says:

If he really doesn’t have a cold, cocaine may still be on the table. He’s been acting as though he had a respiratory infection for quite a while. Should be over a cold in a couple of weeks. Why deny a cold? Something’s going on. Someone suggested some sort of nervous tic. Allergy? Sinus infection? Why the mystery, Donald?

    • Christianna says:

Yeah let’s nitpick on his health now. Your turn, Trump.

Coke’s a hard drug, people should be harder on him than they were about Obama’s college days weed use.

    • Lama Bean says:

Yes! I said this right after Hillary’s episode. He was congested at the Economic Club speech.

  5. Dominique says:

Why am I getting some DILF vibes in my no-no region off of him? Or should I say GILF? If I was his age I think i’d be all up on that.

  6. Lilacflowers says:

Dean should leave the tweet up; it was one of the best parts of the debate. SNIFF

Now, let me get this straight, a man who, while married, moved his mistress into the NYC mayoral mansion and then ran for president is saying that a woman is unqualified for the job because of her husband’s adultery? What an odd blend of hypocrisy and misogyny.

    • Layla Beans says:

I think Giuliani is legit losing his mind.

    • doofus says:

and lilac, let’s not forget that the divorce derailed his Senate campaign.

when he was running against HRC.

ETA: I think Kitten has it right. Giuliani (and Chris Christie) are FIGHTING FOR THEIR LIVES for political relevance. they both know they’re thisclose to being completely OVER. Guiliani, for all intents and purposes, IS over but I think Christie is realizing that his political career in NJ is toast, and that national political relevance is fading fast.

      • lucy2 says:

Couldn’t happen to two more deserving guys.

Most of us here in NJ can’t wait until Christie is gone.

  7. NGBoston says:

OMG, IMOO this is just more hype and bias from the MSM.

According to sources and his own admission, Trump does not even drink. Severely doubt he does cocaine. Come on.

I think it was a nervous tick, or something out of the ordinary from him but was very noticeable. In fact, that physical glitch was so odd it stood out immediately like a sore thumb which is why he is getting shredded on it. That and his “there was something wrong with my microphone” BS. He got his Cheeto-dusted ass handed to him. Fair and square.

And, he is such an egomaniac, and his NPD so bad- he will continue to stay in denial and refuse to ever admit losing to others, or that he can be and has been wrong in the past.

But, he was sniffing bc he snorted cocaine before one of the biggest events in his entire life? Highly doubt that, and I say it is pure fiction. It’s funny as hell, the Meme’s out there but fiction nonetheless.

    • Luca76 says:

Except he does have documented ties to a cocaine trafficker and the mafia. I’m not saying he was on cocaine but I think he’s gotten off far too easy.

  8. G says:

It wasn’t like he was the only person who suspected coke. It was alllll over twitter.

  9. Jess says:

Giuliani lost his mind years ago. In some ways I almost dislike him more than I dislike Trump.

  10. evie says:

This is so stupid. I didn’t see them as “sniffles” they came off to me as haughty sniffs, you know when someone thinks they’re better than everyone else. My 93 y.o. grandmother does this ALL THE TIME because she thinks she is above anything and everyone American. (she’s British) Howard Dean has done nothing but put himself into the same crowd as that lunatic Rudy Giuliani, who looked like he was totally going round the bend after that debate. I don’t for one minute believe DT does coke. I loathe the man but really, what happened to the inspiration we all took from Michelle Obama’s speech? When they go low we go high. Got to be better than this.

    • Jezi says:

@evie no those were straight up sniffs. No huffs and puffs. He was doing it through out his own talking points. It wasn’t just the sniffing either, the excessive water drinking was also evident. And I’m sorry but they hammered Hillary on her health because of her coughing fit non stop for a good month. The man child can deal with a little suspect cocaine use just the same.

  11. Kitten says:

Yes Trump doesn’t drink or do drugs. But most of all, he NEVER sniffles and never EVER lies.

Come on. The guy was a power player in the ’80s. He did blow like everyone else did.
Also in 1987 he wrote a reference letter for Joe Weischelbaum, a notorious cocaine trafficker who was already a twice-convicted felon.

Hmmmmm..I wonder what his connection to Weischelbaum was? Probably they both shared a love of checkers and other board games.

Also, the fact that Biden isn’t backing down makes me think he probably knows something about Trump’s recreational activities that the rest of us don’t.

    • KiddVicious says:

      Exactly.

I’d also read Trump was addicted to phentermine (probably on Gawker. RIP). I keep hoping for that to be true.

  12. HK9 says:

I don’t know much about Howard Dean but all I can say is I like him.

  13. SM says:

He has a brain problem. The coke problem will never compare to that.

  14. Kath says:

I love Howard Dean. He gives no effs these days.

  15. truth. says:

it was clearly obvious that the debate was rigged.
Trump’s microphone was filled with cut onions.
    Lester Holt probably was involved.

    • Elgin Marbles says:

The cut onions were also covered in hot pepper and the mic was purposely heated, hence the sweating. Lester helped but it was Rosie O’Donnell that came up with the plan.

    • tmot says:

That, and all those pesky “facts” they kept asking about. UNFAIR!
