OK I never comment on fashion. Never. Ever. Don’t care about it. I never click on your “So and so wore whoever to whatever premiere stunning or meh” links because I think it’s all just so stupid. I live in jeans and t-shirts. But this time I have to say something. This dress isn’t awful. It’s stunning. Original. Cool. Architectural. An absolute work of art. I would love to wear this dress, except I so do not have the body for it. But Cate Blanchett does, and I think she looks awesome.
OK lunchtime rant over. I think I need to eat a burger or something.

I agree. Knowing Kate’s fashion forward attitude this looks great on her. She wears clothes as pieces of art. You may like or dislike the particular piece, but she does pull it off in tems of it being really original and sort of looks like carrying a piece of art on her body

*sigh* I love love love me some Kid Cudi’s music (and to look at him), his music makes me happy.. i’ve side eyed him for the whole Amanda Bynes era ( It was rumored he accelerated her substance problems used to cheat on her all over and basically used her as a cash machine) but I’ve always been impressed with his output… and now the Whole thing with Amanda makes sense

I agree – it looks fantastic and she has the body and poise to carry it.
I love it! Just a little critique, the red bow distracts from the perfection of the shoulders, it’s a little too rumpled, like a bow on a present, cheap satin look. But the rest of the dress is gorgeous! Cate looks stunning!
My ethereal problematic goddess looks really good here. I think it works because the rest of the dress is so plain that those large petals elevate it from boring to kooky chic.

Everyone has different taste and I like it. Its artsy and daring, wish I had a place to wear it if I had the monies. This definitely beats JSP’s dress by a mile.

Amal Clooney’s outfit might have been *slightly* better as a dress, but oh nonononono (<=== I liked & stole that from the "Get Out" trailer), that is an unfortunate skirt set! Complete with flouncy shoulder ribbons and 4 huge skirt buttons.

I love it and she’s wearing the hell out of it. There are few people who can pull off such looks. Cate is one, Rihanna is another. My only nitpick is the watch she’s wearing which breaks up the flow of the sleeves.
I guess because it looks like she’s loving it, it makes me love it too…the color combination – black, ivory, red bow/ribbon, makes it all come together nicely.

I’ve never understood the “she is so fashion forward” thing with her. I think she generally wears ridiculous clothing but looks so confident that she gets hailed as a fashion genius.
