Melania Trump, Hillary Clinton & more issue statements about #TrumpTape

wenn29635070

There’s been widespread condemnation of Donald Trump following the release of the Access Hollywood tape from 2005, in which Trump flat-out brags and laughs about sexually assaulting women. The condemnation makes me feel better, although I think the fact that Donald Trump is the GOP’s candidate for president says awful things about our country. Like, while Trump’s words on the tape were deplorable and shocking, they weren’t surprising. Many people, men and women, have known what kind of monster Donald Trump was and is. Still, for a Hillary Clinton supporter like me, the past 24 hours have been full of schadenfreude. HRC issued one simple statement:

How much would you have loved it if she said “this is deplorable”? I would have loved it. The Clinton campaign also cut and dropped a new ad:

What’s crazy is that those weren’t even the most appalling quotes! And of course there’s a ton of other stuff, like Robert DeNiro telling the world that Donald Trump needs to be canceled from planet earth. NSFW-ish language.

Also: CNN’s Ana Navarro became a folk hero in the past 24 hours for segments like these:

Melania Trump has come out of hiding to issue a statement (which you know she didn’t write herself). She says: “The words my husband used are unacceptable and offensive to me. This does not represent the man that I know. He has the heart and mind of a leader. I hope people will accept his apology, as I have, and focus on the important issues facing our nation and the world.” NOPE. Do you think he even apologized to her? I’ll say it again: some days I actually do feel sorry for Melania.

And finally, the Trump tape really has given us a national conversation about rape culture. Kelly Oxford started the hashtag #NotOkay and women have been telling their stories about sexual harassment and assault. I could only read the tweets for a few minutes – I got too upset by everything, honestly.

Melania, while I am not a fan, I want to give you some advice. Make sure the settlement money sits in an account that Oompa or The Children of The Corn cannot access before the ink dries on the divorce papers.

    • CactusFlower says:

      Brilliantly said!

      • Megan says:

We know Trump thinks “standing by your man” like Hilary did is for losers, so I guess he thinks Melanie is a loser, too. So, yeah, she needs to open that account in her name only ASAP.

    • Melly says:

She isn’t going anywhere. She knows the man she married. She knows the deal.

      • Tiffany says:

I don’t know Melly, it might not be her decision anymore.

      • Melly says:

If they get divorced, it’ll be Donald asking for it not Melania. That’s just my opinion on their marital situation. And it wouldn’t be in Donald’s best interest to be going through a divorce now. Anyways, i’m sure he has side chicks. She has put up with him for 10+ years, do you really think THIS is the worst she’s heard him say or the worst thing he has done? I seriously doubt it.

      • nicole says:

        Totally agree, Melly.

      • Esmom says:

I don’t know if I agree. This might not be the last straw for the deplorables but it could be the last one for Melania. It would be great if she left him now.

      • DSA says:

Here’s a toast to last straws (for her, and also for every citizen with a right to vote). Imagine this guy at the UN, or even some international trade conference… The other world leaders would LOL behind his back.

Girl, seriously… The title “FLOTUS” isn’t even worth it anymore. When/if she becomes FLOTUS, he’ll keep doing/saying the crappy things he does/says… And when she’s in the White House, it’ll be even more humiliating for her. I still don’t respect her for the plagiarism, but I sincerely feel bad for her right now and I wish her well.

      • Red says:

There are a lot of women who would put up with this….for love, for children, for appearances, for life style. Not to mention low self esteem or just good old stupidity. If I were guessing, I would say that Melania is driven by lifestyle, appearances and stupidity motivations.

But if we assumed for a moment that she isn’t a dumb woman with a taste for the good life, we still have to accept that leaving him now would paint a big bullseye on her back. His supporters are lunatics, she would never have a moment’s peace and her life would be in danger as long as she lives. Also, it would turn him into a sympathetic figure. That’s the sexist world we live in, he would be MORE electable if his wife left him publicly.

      • Merritt says:

I feel like Melania would only leave if she found out he has far less money than she thought. She knows that Trump is an awful person, she has shown she doesn’t really care. She could have married a far less disgusting rich guy.

      • Nancy says:

He made those statements to Billy Bush in 05, the same year he married Melania. She was one of the pu$$y’s he grabbed, only he married this one. She knows exactly what he is and exactly how much he is worth. I have zero respect for her and don’t be fooled, those words were written for her. She could care less. I also get sick of hearing how Ivanka modeled and earned her own money……yeah so she could walk in the front door of Trump Towers. She is her father with what some say is a pretty face. I’m mad as a hornet….this family makes that way.

      • ohdear says:

I wonder if Hillary will say something to the effect that she stood by Bill like Melania is staying by him. I don’t agree with how Hillary handled the women, and I am not surprised that a woman in the 70’s and 80’s who had been voted ‘most likely to be the first female president’ at Wellsley would defend her ambitions against women who could destroy it so vehemently. I also can’t imagine being overly docile and sweet to my husband or his mistresses. And I don’t know enough about the rape allegations to comment on how she handled those.

    • Jayna says:

All of his deplorables are out en masse supporting him, men and women.

The guy was 59 when he bragged in a repulsive and vile way about being able to sexually grope someone because he’s a celebrity.

Locker room talk? That’s rapist talk. And he was on the verge of 60. What a gross man.

      • Esmom says:

Yeah, the messages of support I saw on FB today were enough to make me want to break my computer. One meme an old (female) classmate posted said “If women are so offended by naughty words, why did millions buy Fifty Shades of Gray?” What the actual f%^k.

Most were about how Bill and Hillary are much, much worse. I seriously don’t know whether to laugh or cry now when I’m on FB. I might need to step away from it permanently.

      • Kitten says:

        JFC. I weep for humanity.

But these are the type of people who support Trump. They’re not critical thinkers. In fact, I think they avoid thinking at all. Probably easier for them, you know?

    • LinaLamont says:

Not an ounce of sympathy for Mrs. Trump. Never had it; never will. She’s as big a pig as the rest of the Trumps. She knew what she married and she was fine staying with it. I agree with @ Melly and others…she won’t be the one doing the dumping.

    • Christin says:

Speaking of the spawn, I guess they are sweating over the family name brand value, which I guess is also tanking by the minute.

On that subject, I was at a well-known discount clothing store yesterday and ran across a sweater from his daughter’s (I think overpriced) line. As expected — the tag showed it was ‘made in China’.

      • Tiffany says:

The only one that will truly be alright is Ivanka. Jared is not exactly hurting. Well, for now. The other Corns have no pot to piss in.

      • Megan says:

I feel sorry for Barron. As a minor, he is forced to associate with Trump. The other corns choose to.

      • lucy2 says:

I was wondering that too, if the family business was in trouble from all this. All of them have spent all their time on the campaign, he’s gotten nothing but negative attention, and now this.
But then again, when he gets in trouble, he doesn’t pay anyone and declares bankruptcy.

      • Alarmjaguar says:

I was at TJMaxx and had the same experience. I also put those back on the rack asap!

    • swak says:

My thoughts exactly – just signed the death warrant to her marriage!

      • DSA says:

It can’t be easy being Melania right now. I was planning on doing a Vine parodying her, but now I’ve decided to cancel filming the video entirely because I feel so bad for her. There’s just got to be a limit to a person’s humiliation and suffering…

      • tmot says:

She knew teh job was dangerous when she took it. #GreenCardMarriage

    • naomipaige says:

      Right on!

  2. Nona says:

Ana Navarro was outraged, but dignified. It was simply amazing to see. She made me proud(er) to be a woman.

    • Melly says:

I love Ana Navarro. She always tells it like it is while also being a decent human being.

    • Lahdidahbaby says:

Me too. I was up all night watching this unfold in live coverage, and at one point when Ana Navarro repeated Trump’s p#ssy-grab sexual-assault-is-okay-if-you’re-a-star remark, Trump mouthpiece Scotty Whatshername (who is still defending Trump because she’s paid to) got FURIOUS with Ana for having said “p#ssy” on live TV because, she said, “My daughter is watching this!”) and Ana said “You’re offended at ME for saying p#ssy but you’re not offended at TRUMP for saying it!?!”

      Perfect!

      • Melly says:

I was also up all night watching this! When Ana was just OWNING Scottie was I was cheering and clapping like she could hear me. Ana, like most sane people, has been done with Trump for awhile.

      • Little Darling says:

RIght there with you ladies. All night, all day today. Grrr. I was a bit of a commenting maniac on Facebook too, which I usually stay away from comments beyond “great pic!” But man oh MAN I was HEATED.

        Sorry, Ana is amazing.

      • molee says:

I felt like Ana Navarro yelled out “The Emperor has no clothes!” and “OMG! Someone bring me MY robe RIGHT NOW!”

  3. phaedra says:

GOP now stands for Grabbing Our Pussies. How is a Donald Trump candidacy still happening? How does this man get away with it over and over and over? He doesn’t even pay taxes, and yet … OK, must stave off rage stroke. I’ll do that by refocusing my attention on the less-terrifying issue: is Billy Bush going to get shit-canned over this? I hope so.

    • Christin says:

Billy is a nephew of elder Bush. Did anyone else realize that?

He will likely keep his job. Today tends to keep the guys who have negative PR. Lauer is the prime example.

      • phaedra says:

Yep, he an W are cousins I was told. Ugh, you are probably right. After Ana Navarro is done eviscerating Trump we can send her to the Today Show to take down Lauer and Bush.

    • Colette says:

I am so pissed at Billy for allowing this guy to disrespect Nancy Odell( his co host). Not once did he say “Come on Donald, don’t say that”. Also Billy’s apology, where he brings up being “younger”.SMH. Billy was 33,married with three daughters. He was not some college kid.I think he is the one who referred to Ryan Lochte as a “kid” when he got caught lying.

      • Betsy says:

Allegedly Nancy O’Dell left Access Hollywood because Bush was such a sexist (or sexually harassing? I’m about eight degrees away from the original story) t”””burger.

      • lucy2 says:

I have always greatly disliked him, and now have good reason. If NBC were smart (we know they aren’t) they’d sideline him for a good long time.

    • MC2 says:

Billy Bush acted as a wing man for this pos. Billy was the one who made her hug Trump and then kept the convo on the sexual side….the dude is horrendous. How would we feel about the guy who invited the woman who Cosby drugged and just sat their laughing and then left her there?! I know it’s not that bad but Billy is the perfect example of the friend of the psycho who enables, helps & cheers on the f-er, gets excited about it and then says they had no part. Billy and Nate Parker’s co-writer should go kick it on an island far, far away. The more I think about Billy Bush the more I hate him. He needs to get canned. Rape culture is not okay but at least we have a poster boy now.

      • Naya says:

        Agreed.

      • Kiki says:

Oh, don’t worry. NBC wants to keep Billy Bush, there is always public opinion… watch and see the ratings go down on that Access Hollywood. Oh and BTW Billy Bush is not even a good entertainment journalist or co-host.

    • DSW says:

Can’t say I am surprised. They already like to get up in our uteruses.

  4. Christin says:

The panelist in bright pink (a DT supporter) said this morning that no women were affected by this. She tried to spin off to deflection land. The other two panelists at the time jumped on her due to victims of assault.

It is amazing what pretzel logic goes on during this mess of an election cycle.

    • Colette says:

These people hate Hillary so much.Donald could be caught on video screwing a horse. They would say, “The horse didn’t seem to object and Hillary is a liar”.

    • Melly says:

Her name is Scottie Nell Hughes and she is ugly on the inside.

      • EM says:

I stopped watching the news months ago primarily because of these surrogates. They truly are deplorable and to think that this one is someone’s mother and still doesn’t see any problems with supporting Trump is disgusting. I caught a brief clip of her actually saying that what Hillary has done (mentioning Benghazi) is worse than what Trump has said.

  5. ktae87 says:

I started reading the twitter feed, didn’t get very far.

  6. minx says:

I can’t tell you how much I LOVE the Deniro video. He says it all.

    • nicole says:

I love Robert De Niro for that video, he feels exactly like I do, he really hates him and his words were great.

    • Little Darling says:

Me too ladies. LOVED. So much. I swear my heart swelled for him.

    • Naya says:

Deniro has been going head to head with Trump since his birther bs. Remember one time Trump responded by implying that Deniro is “slow” just because he is awkward at interviews. I love that Bobby gets the last laugh.

    • Kitten says:

Me too! I loved how unapologetic he was. I’ve always really liked him but now I’m at the love level.

  7. Melly says:

This is further evidence about how important this election is and how critical it is that everyone vote for HRC. We the people need to send a message. I don’t know what else to say. Trump is a disgusting, repulsive old man. Anyone who is still supporting him has earned their deplorable moniker.

    • Flan says:

Exactly. And I think the only way Trump can win is not because so and so many weirdos vote Trump, but because sane people neglect to vote because too busy/Hillary will win anyway.

      So stimulate everyone to vote.

  8. virginfangirl says:

I was at first so disgusted by Trumps words I gave Billy a free pass. But after watching the video again, I was so creeped out by the fact Billy was encouraging this woman to hug himself and worse yet Trump after what Trump had just said to him in “private”. I can imagine with Billy’s job he has to kiss up to celebrities and all so probably wasn’t comfortable calling out Trump and telling him this is beyond typical “boys will be boys” talk, but for Billy to encourage women to hug Trump after what he just witnessed was cringe worthy.

    • pinetree13 says:

Yes I was disgusted with that as well. You can see him laughing about it too, knowing he put her in too awkward of a position to say ‘no’ with her not knowing the crude sexual remarks they just made about her. So gross. Rape culture is real y’all.

Oh and I was just sexually harassed/assaulted several months ago while CARRYING my INFANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m still mad about it. Guy came right up and grabbed my butt and I didn’t even see him prior scared the S*&^ out of me.

      • Alarmjaguar says:

Ugh, I’m so sorry. That happened to me while I was walking home one night in college and scared the crap out of me, can’t even imagine if it had happened while I was carrying my kid!

  9. virginfangirl says:

I’m not sure why this latest Trump attack against a group of people seems to be the final straw, as I have been thoroughly disgusted with him for a very long time. But I am thankful as I fear for our country if he becomes president and it seems this latest insult has him in real trouble with the voting public.

    • naomipaige says:

I’m with you. I was offended the minute he threw his hat in the ring.

    • OhDear says:

Yeah, I agree – he should have been out with his “Mexicans are rapists” comments (or whatever was his first offensive attack – can’t keep track anymore).

    • lucy2 says:

I agree as well. I guess he had to offend a certain percentage of the population to reach max negativity, and Mexicans, Muslims, the disabled, Gold Star families, veterans, and many more just weren’t enough?

    • Josefina says:

Same. Im not even offended by this since this is just what I expect from Trump and his voters.

But if this turns people to vote against him, Good bless. That many cant be president. That was obvious a year ago and it’s just as obvious now.

  10. adastraperaspera says:

This Trumplosion is Trumptastic! I am enjoying it bigly.

That said, the appalling fact is that women and girls have been and continue to be hurt by this predatory man and his “modeling” and real estate businesses. And they’ve also been hurt by all the weak men who have looked the other way Trump’s whole life and haven’t taken any concrete action to stop rape culture and put an end to patriarchy. And these same men act all shocked and protective of their daughters, in meaningless tweets.

The one thing I have to credit Trump for is that he’s just laying it all out there–he knows that the majority of men think women are objects and denigrate them personally and professionally (why else are only 15% of all US law partners women, and a thousand other examples…). He works with men who are in power all the time. He shoots the breeze with them in male-only settings. He’s blowing up all their secrets with his sexist Tourette syndrome. Whether they just grab a woman in person or pretend to be nice and pass noxious laws to control our bodies, it’s a gross injustice that must be challenged and changed.

    • virginfangirl says:

“Sexist Tourette sndrome”. Great way to put it.

      • virginfangirl says:

My last 2 jobs have basically been in all male professions. So for the last 10 years I have worked with a group of 5 men everyday and the 10 years before that I worked with 8 men everyday in a blue color job. And a few of these men made it a habit of checking women out and even “complimenting” them for those long legs or nice a** by telling me their thoughts about what they just saw (treating me like one of the guys), but only one made comments that made me cringe. And he ended up in jail for child porn.

  11. Cerys says:

What an odious man. Just when you think he can’t get any worse something else comes out. The scary thing is that so many people are still supporting him and trying to justify what he said.

  12. Marianne says:

I hate that Billy’s excuse was basically “I was young and stupid” because he was 33 years old. Its not like he was some kid. However, I could have understand to an extent if he had said something like “I was newly promoted and was too afraid to speak up in case it got me into trouble”. Im not saying its right, but I can understand that feeling when you’re in a new job/position of not wanting to “overstep your line” per se and have people get mad at you.

    • Nibbi says:

i see what you mean about that. however, in the video it’s clear he’s having a heck of a lot of fun, they’re laughing, he’s saying stuff on his own, he’s pushing for the hug- this is not some young nervous sycophant trying not to offend.

      • pinetree13 says:

Exactly. If it were for the hug moment you could argue he was just sucking up to the celebrity. The fact that he went out of his way to get that woman to hug trump knowing what they were just saying about her…shows him for the gross pervert he is! No defense!

    • lightpurple says:

I would love to know what conversations are taking place in the extended Bush family right now. Cousin JEB probably would love to wring Billy’s neck

      • jwoolman says:

No, cousin Jeb is probably pleased. Not with how Billy behaved but rather that the leak happened and now the Trumpster has to deal with the fallout.

  13. Jayna says:

The Faux News commentators are a laugh a minute.

Bill O’Reilly excused it as just “crude guy talk.”

    • Colette says:

Bill O’Reilly, the jerk who was sued for sexual harassment by his producer in 2004 after he was sexting her?The asshole who probably assaulted his ex wife before they split?
Bill O’Reilly probably will high five Trump the next time he is on the show.

      • Merritt says:

Bill O’Reilly the guy who for years criticized black families despite his own children not wanting to live with him and the court agreeing with the children’s wishes to live with their mother full time.

    • I Choose Me says:

Bill O’Reilly is as big a piece of sh-t as Trump. The day he’s no longer on the TV spewing his poison cannot happen soon enough.

  14. Jayna says:

I adore Robert De Niro’s video.

  15. Jayna says:

Lawrence O’Donnell’s tweets on this are on fire.

  16. Snowpea says:

Im not American but this shit is frontpage news where I am and I frankly, am horrified. WTF is going on in the world when your presidential candidate speaks like a bratty, entitled frat boy like that psychopath Brock whatshisname…sheesh, this 2016 FFS *shaking my damn freaking head*

  17. Eve says:

All I can say is: PLEASE, don’t forget to vote nor think that because HRC has this one in the bag, some disaster will never happen.

I mean, don’t let this opportunity pass because you’re certain “all the people you know” will vote for Hillary. You, too, MUST vote against this monster.

P.S.: I once saw an autograph by Viggo Mortensen where he quotes Plato:

“One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.”

    I will NEVER forget that.

    • Christin says:

That is my concern as well. It’s not over until every vote is counted on election night.

Even if polls start suggesting this is a 90 percent leaning race, still vote! Complacency is a huge risk.

    • DianaB says:

YES! Go out and vote. Look what happened in Colombia! Let that be your nearest example of a debacle caused by stupid electorates.

      • ataylor says:

Sorry. But I’m going to disagree with you right there. That agreement between FARC and President Santos was the equivalent of the US pardoning Al Quaeda members, not giving them jail time, and then allowing them to have a seat at the political table. It’s why many members of my family in Colombia voted no.

Brexit is closer to your analogy.

    • Agapanthus says:

Couldn’t agree more. There was an awful event in British politics where just about everyone, including pollsters, believed it was in the bag for our left wing party, only to find that the ‘nasty’ Tory party won with quite a substantial majority. The theory was that a lot of those voting for the nasty party were just too ashamed to admit it (and basically lied to the pollsters). Moreover, others were complacent and didn’t vote because they believed the result was guaranteed. Really, really hoping this doesn’t happen in the States!!

    • I Choose Me says:

Brilliant quote. Thanks for sharing it. Wishing I was American so that I could vote Hilary.

      • Eve says:

I don’t live in the US either. My biggest fear is another sh*tstorm like Brexit or the coup (disguised as impeachment) here in Brazil.

My point is: you guys are lucky because you still have a chance to not let another disaster happen!

    • K.T says:

Go Hillary! A US female president is a amazing global symbol which as an outside I feel invested in the election! Especially against Trump who is so racist and fascist demagogue that its really, really scary to other countries who’ve had worse/similar.

      • jwoolman says:

I think it’s more significant in the USA than elsewhere. Other countries have had women as heads of state for decades. And not just in Western countries. We’re relatively backwards in this as in other things.

    • Kitten says:

      Oh dude I’m stealing that!

  18. Apples says:

Ladies, defending her as a sweet little flower who got trapped in his basement – she is in on it with him. I remember when an interviewer asked Melania how she felt about Donald talking in such offensive manner, she said: ” It’s guys talk. That’s how guys talk. I don’t pay it any attention.” It was in the New York Times several years ago and I’d like to find it again to post here. She is fine with whatever he does. She is a woman who is OK with his words and actions. Her statement means nothing, because her actions speak louder. So please, stop talking about her as if she were a nice person who is too afraid to leave him.

    • Tourmaline says:

I agree with this. He has met his match in Melania–she is perfect for him as she DGAF about anything but getting what’s hers. There isn’t any of the tension there was in the marriages with Ivanka and Marla. Both of whom could say a zillion words about what a POS he is but opt not to do so because their kids are on the Trump brand gravy train.

    • notasugarhere says:

This isn’t the man she knows? He was newly-married to her at the time. She’ll defend the meal ticket no matter what.

    • Greeneyes says:

Melania’s statement means nothing to me because 1. She’s wife he admitted to cheating on while pregnant. That’s between them.. 2. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, She is NOT one of his sexually violated victims! I have been raped, groped, and sexually harassed by bosses who felt the same narcissistic sense of entitlement when I was younger. If you were attractive men thought you were fair game, if you worked hard for promotions it was insinuated it was on your knees (even though you didn’t), if one didn’t play their game, well the easiest of the worst was being black balled and no more promotions no matter how hard you worked. The worst of worst was finding my 18 yr old self caught off guard & thrown onto a shelving unit in a locked store room when approached from behind & my bosses tongue shoved down my throat as I frantically fought back..followed by a red neckerchief shoved in my mouth. The harder I fought the more he enjoyed it. Laughing because the store was open & busy & he was getting away with it. He said no one was going to believe me, he was a married “respected father”.. turned out no, the female bosses were just as corrupt (were robbing the place blind), they got rid of him for my sake (he was rewarded & got a bigger store in a different district). Years later I felt vindicated after he was back at the store we had once worked at together (I had long left & dealing w/ perverts in the corporate world). Several young women had come forward and complained about his aggressive behavior… a lil too late for me, a part of me internally was already forever shattered. But I had learned that night he raped me to trust my inner instincts. If a charmer & I felt creepy vibes, I always had my guard up, trusting none of them.

Friday night I was pissed thinking Trump could be our president even though boasting what he did to women. Yesterday my old wounds were open and raw.. all the Trump supporters on FB posting it was just guys being guys or years ago..etc. I couldn’t stop crying yesterday & found myself feeling like that 18 yr old scared girl..
How can we have an admitted sexual predator in the whitehouse & then expect to prosecute other predators in the courthouse? Our country has turned into one huge “deliverance inspired reality show” this election cycle. It was hillbilly phase w/ Palin.. who knew we could stoop even lower than her?! So Melania can take her plagerized statement and shove it in Trump’s bootyhole mouth. Both stink to high heaven and are full of crap…

@Greeneyes. I am so sorry that you have to go through this. But I will tell you my story that I was sexually harrassed as well but I was strong enough to tell my superiors what that pervert was doing, although most of them tell me to ignored it I was defiant to say no because if that predator says “he was going to F*ck me, he will go on his word”. Therefore, I went again and again to tell other superiors and the higher bosses until he was fired. Again I am so, so, so sorry for what you have been through but you were ( and hoped that you are) strong enough to stand up to that a**hole by telling other people about him.

I am very grateful for your story and everyone can look at this as a cautionary tale. And remember, YOU ARE A STRONG WOMAN, DON’T LET ANYONE TAKE YOUR PRIDE AND DIGNITY AWAY FROM YOU.

      • Greeneyes says:

@Kiki. I’m so sorry for what you went thru as well. I’m 51 now, have been married to my twin flame for over 20 yrs now, and have a body that is literally failing me due to disease. Thank you for your words of encouragement. I have been a strong woman for decades I had to be because of things that have happened, but I’m still standing. It just really sidelined me yesterday how easily my old wounds & fears opened up. They are always there & I can usually squash them, yesterday I just couldn’t. Thank you again for your words if compassion & understanding. You are very kind, strong, & wise Kiki.

  19. Susan says:

Where was the public apology to Nancy and the soap actress? He did not have to out O’Dell by name, just a sincere apology to them. And his (then pregnant) wife, his daughter and all the women in America. Trump posting the video on his twitter with the curt header “Here is my statement” and the statement itself totally lacks sincerity. He leaves a lot of collateral damage.

  20. Kath says:

If you want to look into a cesspool of human stupidity, read the comments on the Daily Mail website about Trump. Excuses, deflection, and unqualified support – mostly from WOMEN. People are absolute idiots and these females are a disgrace to their gender.

They are also perfectly fine with Russia interfering in the US’ electoral process.

Please, for the love of god, vote for Hillary in November. I cannot even begin to tell you how much Trump is damaging the US in the eyes of the world.

It doesn’t matter if Hillary is not your 100% fave, or you think she’s dodgy and indulging in a third-party vote couldn’t hurt because you live in a “blue” state.

The American election affects the whole planet, and this is effing serious. I am sick of being told by Trump supporters that this isn’t any of our business. You can’t claim that you are the world’s only superpower, or that you “lead the world” and then argue that it’s solely a domestic issue.

I can’t imagine any other scenario where you would have the rest of the world pushing American citizens to vote a certain way – but THIS IS IT!

I live in a country that has carried America’s bags in every stupid war since the 1950s. A Trump presidency would see an end to alliances in the Pacific, and – given all the shit Trump has talked about NATO and Putin – probably in the Atlantic as well.

This is a seriously dangerous moment in world history and I just hope there is enough support from sane, rational, educated NORMAL PEOPLE to stop a Trump presidency. from happening.

    • EM says:

I tried adding a few rebuttals but my comments weren’t going through. Daily Mail is like the mecca for the Tea Party & Trump supporters – lost cause.

    • adastraperaspera says:

Well said. I’m in a red state, but my vote goes to Hillary for sure! We can vote early, so I’m casting my ballot on October 19th.

    • Kiki says:

This is why when HRC becomes POTUS (and notice I said when and not if). In her first 100 days agenda should be to revoke Donald Trumps citizenship as an American.. Since he love Vladmir Putin and Russian, he and his mail-order bride Melania and son should stay in Russia.

    • Kitten says:

I can’t. I just can’t read any more defenses of this trash bag.

  21. Bee says:

    Ana Navarro is my hero.

  22. Soror Bro says:

I’ll wager there’s going to be a film about this bizarre election with Alec Baldwin a certainty to play Trump.

  23. Nicole says:

The hashtag where women detailed their first sexual assault…I stated crying after a few tweets. But I read through a lot before I stopped. I can’t imagine reading thousands for hours. It’s a lot.

As for Trump there’s a lot of things said here:
    1. Openly admitting to sexual assault
    2. Basically stopping only because his potential victim was “owned” by another man (i.e. Married)
    3. How much assault or rape has this man gotten away with (discounting the case we know about with the 13 year old)?
    4. The GOP now in full crisis mode. Because it was okay when he was against blacks, Mexicans, veterans and disabled people…but talk about our wives and daughters and there’s a problem!
    5. People distancing themselves from trump do now get a pass now. You’re deplorable and seemingly without a spine. You don’t get a pat on the back for backing out NOW. We see you. You built your own Frankenstein and I’m going to enjoy him destroying every single one of you.

    I need a drink.

    • notasugarhere says:

I don’t think he stopped because she was married, that wouldn’t stop him. He’d love to help cuckold any man and lord it over him. She shut him down because she’s married.

      • jwoolman says:

It would be interesting to ask Howard Stern what he thinks. When he interviewed Trump, who among other obnoxious things was bragging about his “conquests”, Trump asked Howard to talk about some of his conquests. Howard simply said that was a married man and faithful to his wife, and didn’t do such things. Trump apparently was stunned at that answer. There’s a difference between private Stern and public Stern…

  24. EM says:

The man is not fit to be in political office.

  25. Lolo86lf says:

    Ann Navarro is my heroine!

Robert De Niro should not have said he wanted to punch Trump because that downgraded him to the same level as some of Trump’s violent supporters.

    • Kitten says:

I know what you’re saying and I also winced a bit at that part but I think he was just speaking from a place of raw emotion. That video felt almost like an impromptu, steam-of-consciousness type thing. Or maybe I’m being sympathetic because Trump enrages me in a way that makes me understand DeNiro’s stance.

  26. Shelly says:

Haven’t seen the Ivanka perfect family Instagram upload this weekend. So this must be bad.

    • zinjojo says:

Ha! Just said that to my husband as we were walking the dogs this morning…Ivanka has typically responded to Trump’s horrid behavior with her happy homemaker, perfect family pics to her Instagram, but not this time. I’m waiting to see what her response is now, and with the disgusting things her father said about her to Howard Stern.

I can’t wait until this is over, the next month will be incredibly painful.

  27. Josefina says:

I just hope all of this translates in the ballots. Internet rage and awareness is no more than vapid talk if people dont put the work behind their words. If you dont vote Clinton – you’re helping Trump. So if you care like you say you do, get up and vote, damn it.

  28. Tourmaline says:

Daily Mail has a rundown of all the heinous things Trump has said on the Howard Stern radio show over the years including calling his own daughter Ivanka a “voluptuous piece of ass” and calling a pregnant Melania a “blimp” and a “monster”. The last part no surprise as published accounts of his divorce from Ivana quote him saying he couldn’t be attracted to a woman who was also a mother.

Rich indeed that Trump is the anointed candidate of the party that crows they are the party of “family values”.

    • Christin says:

If it’s true that he thinks women need to be traded in after 35, then his current wife better have her bags packed.

  29. Jayna says:

Has anyone else read Jon Voight’s tweets defending Trump and bashing De Niro? Go to his twitter and read. Wow.

  30. Jayna says:

I don’t think Howard Stern cares if this hurts Donald, the old tape of their interviews. They’ve been out there forever.

Howard is a massive admirer and longtime supporter of Hillary Clinton’s. He said once Donald knows this . Howard has said he thinks that she will be a fantastic president. His dream is to interview her, not about scandals, but about how she, as a woman, has dealt with all she has while in office with slam after slam, and show the more resilient , yet human side of Hillary.

  31. Eva says:

Its no wonder that Ivanka and Chelsea are such good friends. Their mothers put up with a lot of shyt and both their fathers are pigs! My advice( if it means something) Melania needs to take her nice prenup package and her son and run! They say she was attracted to Trump because he’s just like her father (looks almost just like him,but I’m sure not as stupid). As for those kids I’d suggest take the money you must have now and make your own careers. Don’t depend on a trust fund or him!

  32. Bobbie J says:

I’m sure all Melania wanted was a quiet and glamorous life in NYC, being a lady who lunches, going to the spa, having a nice little business with QVC selling her cosmetics line, and making appearances at fun raisers when needed. She didn’t expect all of this!

    • Tate says:

Exactly. This is not what she signed up for. Gone are the days of just being a trophy wife.

  33. Margo S. says:

I didn’t watch the video until today. I had no idea how bad it was. What. The. Eff. This is a disaster. Now I’m not a Republican, but I do feel that it is not OK that THIS is their nominee. This is such a friggin disaster. What an absolute mess.

  34. Jayna says:

You should see Sarah Palin’s Facebook blog on it defending him and all the women commenting defending him.

It’s just hysterical coming from the last four elections where the hopeful Republucan nominees running in the primaries were doing backflips to go as far right as they could in all their righteous glory to appease the Evangelical zealot base. Now, look at the party of family values berating people for being so pious and saying playboys say things, saying it’s nothing the kids don’t hear in rap songs, on and on.

I feel like I am in Bizarro Republican World.

  35. LinaLamont says:

Mark Burnett (another righteous, god-fearing, pious man… Ike Pence) threatened anyone who releases Apprentice footage/audio ’cause, you know, Trump’s the paragon of virtue and he’s Burnett’s man. BARF

  36. LinaLamont says:

    I forgot.
Check out Chuck Todd setting up and taking down Giuliani’s defense of Trump, today.

I hope this link is okay to post:

Forget about the children and the pu$$y. What about the furniture?

  38. serena says:

I never loved Robert De Niro more.
