    WOW!
    That is an unexpected surprise!

    • Jaqen says:

How so? Game of Thrones may get some flak for misogyny but George R.R. Martin really explores it well in his writing (much better than the show at this point). Plus he’s a pretty liberal guy from interviews. He’d obviously choose Clinton over the orang-utan.

      • Radley says:

Who are you responding to? LOL I don’t think Tiffany meant that in a bad way.

I mean, nobody was expecting him to show up at a campaign headquarters in NM. But it’s cool that he did.

      • Tiffany :) says:

Yeah, what Radley said. I don’t know anything about his politics, but someone of his level fame going to a field office is pretty cool!

    • Olenna says:

Ditto. Good for him. I love sickgirl123’s comment in the Jezebel article: “#MakeTheIronIslandsGreatAgain”.

  2. QQ says:

I Need This fool to BE WRITING AT ALL TIMES TO GET THIS DONE ALREADYYYYYYYY ( Sorry he makes me melt down!)

  3. Rhiley says:

I am posting here because it is sort of, but not really, Lin Manuel Mirandaish. Anyway, have any of you listened to the song Seriously written by Sara Bareilles and sung by Leslie Odom Jr. This American Life asked her to write the song from the perspective of what Obama may be thinking now and Leslie Odom Jr. sings. It is stunning. I can’t listen to it without crying. The writers of the songs from Frozen wrote one from the perspective of Paul Ryan and Neil Patrick Harris sings. It is also good, but does drag.

    • QQ says:

I did Listen to em, I CACKLED at the Paul Ryan one!

    • Tiffany :) says:

That entire episode of “This American Life” titled “Seriously” (that has that song at the end) was so informative. I hit the back arrow several times so I could listen to that song again! Really well done, both in writing and performance.

I think George R. R. Martin has a home in Santa Fe or thereabouts and for sure, owns an indie movie theater in SF, the Jean Cocteau theater.

That penguin video had me rolling on the floor laughing. The commentary is hilarious. It’s sad that they are legitimately fighting. But I laugh because it’s like Trapped in the Closet: Penguin Style.

  6. Jenns says:

This is the only time I won’t be pissed at GRRM for taking a break from finishing The Winds of Winter.

  7. Nikki says:

I win the STUPID award!!! I didn’t realize from the headline it was about Hillary, and I literally thought he’d been saying publicly why Danaerus should win the Game of Thrones! I screamed. “NO!! How could you give away the ending!!!???!!” in a state of major angst. (Though I wouldn’t necessarily mind her winning.). NEVERMIND! Glad he’s for Hillary!!

  8. Lindsay says:

    Lin-Manuel Miranda is the best!

    He had two great tweets:
    1. Through a fluke of movie junket timing, I will be on a 9-hour flight for most of Election Day.
    So, y’know, make good choices.
    I’m overhead.

    2. He retweeted J K Rowling’s Tweet regarding an article about the Trump Campaign officially responding to international fear about his presidency: When before has a presidential candidate’s team felt the need to address the global fear he inspires?
    Have flags ever been redder?

As Pajiba says he really is ‘human sunshine’
I loved him signing “you’re never gonna be president now” part of ‘The Renyold’s Pamphlet’ from Hamilton and Donald Trump’s picture in the Hall of Host when he opened SNL. If you missed it you should watch: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MuR8924zTM4

Well I live in NM, and our early voting ended on Saturday (we have about 13 days of early voting here, very convenient, no excuse NOT to vote), so the statement in support of early voting is a bit late (I see it was the 5th).

Polls are closed until tomorrow at 0700 (I’m a poll worker and would not miss this for the world no matter who was running)…civic responsibility and all that.

NM while somewhat behind the rest of the country, including Mississippi, in terms of economic development and education, at least the county of Bernalillo (Albuquerque) has come a long way in making certain that the polls are open, available and no one is turned away.

That being said, Go NM! And PLEASE DON’T LET HELL FREEZE OVER TOMMOROW (#stoporangemanmadnessnow)

    • Lindsay says:

Thank you for your service! My mom is a chief judge so I know how long those days are and how trying some voters can be! The stories are sometimes funny in hindsight but must be extremely trying as you go through them. She takes it VERY seriously and loves her job but some of those voters can try her last nerve. We were adding it up and she walk 138 miles according to her FitBit during the double digit days of early voting. I can’t recall the actual number.

Probably the best voter story was someone waited in line for over three hours (part of that time she could see people going to the voting booth, ect) they stated the required information, went through the steps, got the ballot, and puts it straight into the tabulator. Then came up to my mom and said “How does it know who I am voting for?” They didn’t mark their ballot thinking the machine just magically knew! So they had to fill out a provisional ballot. People are crazy and can sometimes be ugly and mean, especially after standing in a three hour line!

      • BooBooLaRue says:

Thank you and thank your mom for her service. It is fun, trying, interesting, and I always feel a bit of civic pride in doing it. 138 miles is IMPRESSIVE!

    • Alarmjaguar says:

Woot! Another nuevamexicana here echoing what you said. Also, thank you for your service! I’m pulling hard for Maggie Tulousse Oliver for Sect of State-
Am hoping she’ll do for the state what she did for Bernalillo Co. It is so easy to vote here, as it should be!

      • BooBooLaRue says:

Me too! it has been a while since I worked the polls due to some family caregiving issues, but when I went for poll worker training the other day, I was really impressed with how much more efficient it was and again, assessable. We do it right!

rich people telling the poor how to vote.really?

  11. jerkface says:

I do not condone animal abuse but Blac China whipped at that human bull dog hybrid Wendy Williams and I could not stop the chuckles. She’s pregnant and she let the hormones do the typing I guess. It did no good and its all stupid but something about it reminded me of classic fights in gym class freshman year of high school.

Well today is the day Celebitches! Hoping things stay civil in GA because the rhetoric has been hateful. Ready for this election to be over and hopefully a new Era of healing and hope!
    ((Hugs)) to us all…
