A few weeks ago, when I was looking at the photos of Brad Pitt at the LA premiere of Allied, I said that he was giving me Ethan Hawke vibes. Well, those vibes are getting much, much stronger, right? Like, suddenly, Ethan and Brad look like brothers. I think it’s because Brad has lost some weight off his face, so suddenly he has that wiry dirtbag look that Ethan has perfected over the years. Anyway, these are some photos of Brad and Marion Cotillard at last night’s London premiere of Allied.
Marion has had a contract with Dior for years, and Dior is often her go-to label during promotional tours and awards seasons. But for the London premiere, Marion decided to go with an English designer: Stella McCartney. And the result is that I actually miss the shapeless Dior maternity sacks Marion had been wearing previously. My God, Stella is a horrible designer. Why in the world would you do this to a pregnant woman? Why would you do this to a non-pregnant woman too? This is a mullet dress, only a million times worse because it’s a MULLET TOUPEE DRESS. As in, the “mullet” feature is actually connected to the sack-blouse part. As a design feature, a satin mullet sewn onto a blouse has got to be the worst idea in the history of bad ideas.
I’m enjoying Brad’s eggplant-hued scarf though.

I think she looks stunning and glowing. Like Angelina, Marion could wear a sack and still look amazing.
I also think that Brad looks good and no I don’t get any bad vibes from him.
He is still a good man, talented actor who I think has/had some alcohol issues. The only thing I don’t like is how he is not stopping the press attacking Angelina.
But she IS wearing a sack and it is really ugly. I agree however, that she is beautiful in spite of it.
The *stitching* on that thing! It looks like it was sewed up in five minutes — by a five-year-old! Absolutely ugly.
For what it’s worth, I think the gold shoes are fugly, too.
That’s what I noticed too! The stitching is horrible! Looks so like a home-ec project gone wrong (or right if you were me in home-ec)

Alix so agreed! My mom was a seamstress and dad a Taylor. Can’t believe Stella did this as a designer. But I never have cared for her designs.
It’s not flattering but it looks confortable.
She’s looking tired. I hope this ends and she gets to go home to her family soon.

For a regular woman she is still glowing and beautiful, but she always has wonderful skin and makeup? Maybe I’m reading it wrong, but I think her makeup is covering a lot here, shes making stress face and her eyes look sad and tired. No judgement though, I would imagine being pregnant and having to play nice while being accused of scandal, that would be stressful and tiring. Being pregnant, by itself, seems stressful and tiring. I would be in slippers and a muumuu, so props to her for looking so put together.
Doesn’t she live in France? She just has to cross the chunnel and she’s home.
I feel bad for any big pregnant woman who has to get made up and go work, regardless of how close home is. That is not the face of a woman who is enjoying her time out and about.

A lot of women who’ve regularly maligned him for a decade+ saying his best years were behind him and in the late 90s early 2000s (gee where was he at that juncture?)seem to have turned a corner.
Some, a bit more obviously ’embittered’ always like to say his ex had him at his best (they usually never comment on HER face tho’ and him having her before her 3rd nose job when she looked like Dustin Hoffman) and they’d go on to call him both old looking, or contradicting that botoxed and tweaked and lasered.
Much like the old Brad diss ‘he copies his gf’s hairdos’ the he’s an unattractive plastic surgery victim DISS seemed designed to portray him as unattractive, weak and over.
Only thing was, their over the top reaction to him, or those that they saw as his imaginary rival, put on display just how much they weren’t over it or him. They were ready to literally nominate Vince Vaughn or John Mayer as sexiest man alive to somehow bury ‘Brad Pitt’
Let that marinate.
Point being. Not surprisingly, that for these types of gals, Brad gets better looking when they’re no longer outraged/irritated/mad/annoyed at who he’s with.

@almondmilk: Okay, letting it marinate. … Nope. He’s had some ROUGH looks these past few years. I seem to remember a lot of gel and sketchy facial hair. He hasn’t done it for me since the late 90’s (or rather, that era Brad hasn’t because I only came to appreciate him later). But I get why someone would prefer this over the long hair and awful glasses phase.
Also, to be fair, I always find single men the most attractive. A girlfriend/wife puts me off. And frankly, I find that to be a great thing.

@almondmilk: People have a right to their taste in men, separate from some past history that has no bearing on the now. At least for most of us. I thought he looked dumb in some of those little goatees he had, has nothing to do with who he was with at the time or previously.
hmm.. I used to think Michael Fassbender was ridiculously good looking, full of charm. But, since he hooked up with Vikander, my opinion of his looks has changed…so I suppose the company ones keeps can affect my opinion.
Yeah he looks GOOD here. Slimmed down a bit, his face lost the bloat, and the graying hair adds to the hot. I like.

I never ever fancied Brad Pitt and I never ever will. He now has a plastic look reminiscent of Tom Cruise. Though give Brad his due he has spent some money on producing good independent films rather than sinking it all into the barmy army of Scientology. Marion is a gorgeous women. .

The design itself isn’t bad. The finishing looks like Project Runway (which I love) where they only have a day to complete the look.

Regarding their body language /chemistry? It’s a no win situation. If they look to close & flirty it looks bad & gossip overdrive & if they look to awkward it does not go well for box office tickets as chemistry is what they are trying the most to sell this on. So they can’t win either way.
Johnny Depp and Angelina had the same problem promoting The Tourist. No matter how they stood or moved, it was analyzed, criticized, and speculated on.

As he ages, Pitt looks more and more like Redford… not a bad thing. 🙂 But, to me, Pitt will never be as beautiful as Redford.
Marion looks absolutely incredible, she’s such a beauty! Just like Brad said, she’s a “gem”. Her face is glowing and I actually don’t mind the dress though I’m not generally fond of mullet designs and/or Stella. The fabric and Marion’s natural poise elevate it somehow. Brad looks fantastic.

This dress doesn’t make me sad, or happy – it’s just ‘Meh’. reminds me of a similar design currently or recently in Target USA and I love Tarjay but even there I was like “Mmm nope”.
That dress is the ugliest thing I have ever seen! She is lovely and Brad looks HAWT! I really like his look even if it is a bit scarfy.

I honestly do not believe there is anything untoward happening, but Brad does look like he appreciates her in the last two photos…. It’s a shame their honest friendly affection has to be shut out because of gossip about a pregnant woman.
