Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Peta got kicked out of Lamaze, posted video about it

Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd of DWTS got engaged about a year ago and announced they were expecting this June. Peta had a visible baby bump at that time so, doing the math, she must be due soon. She’s due soon enough to take Lamaze birth preparation classes, only that didn’t work out so well because she and Maksim got kicked out of the first one. We know because Maksim recorded a video about it and posted it to Instagram. You can see that above and in case you can’t listen to it here’s what they said:

Maksim: “Baby, what just happened? What did we do?”
Peta: “Our first Lamaze class.”
Maksim: “We got kicked out because Peta was misbehaving and not listening to anything. This baby is going to be a disaster”
[Peta laughs]

Is this cute or really rude? Part of me thinks it takes a special kind of a-hole to not only get kicked out of a birthing class but to be so unapologetic about it to post a video to Instagram. On the other hand, she’s pregnant and the material can be uncomfortable and a lot to deal with at once, as Maksim wrote. I get being uncomfortable in birthing class, I know I skipped the last three Bradley Method classes thinking it was too far to drive, too much work and I had it in the bag. I ended up instantly regretting that decision when it came time to push during labor and I had no clue how hard it would be. (I had the relaxation part down though.) At least have the common decency to respect the other parents who are there or, barring that, be sufficiently sorry and embarrassed that you behaved so badly in class you got booted. The fact that both Maksim and Peta thought this was funny and weren’t mortified by it speaks to the fact that they’re perfect for each other.

So rad, being kicked out of a Lamaze class.

  2. trollontheloose says:

it’s rude for the other anxious would be parents. no everyone can afford them or take an hour or 2 to have some classes. Some need them to unwind.. sometimes it can be a real logistic especially if your partner is doing in between a meeting.

  3. Alix says:

If the class was overwhelming for her, they should have quietly left. What on earth did they do to get kicked out? Idiots.

    • swak says:

If I remember correctly, they do give breaks and they could have quietly left at that point. Good luck to that child.

  4. Mo2 says:

“This baby is going to be a disater”? He said it not me.

  5. Ruyana says:

They won’t be laughing in the labor room.

  6. khymera says:

Seems much ado about nothing. We don’t even have lamaze here. Why be embarrass shit happens

  7. Wellsie says:

Seemed like they were joking to me

Meh. I like to think I am not TOO much of an Ahole, and I all but got kicked out of ours. The lady was DUMB, and it took a lot of effort to not lose my crap with her. After she spent 20 minutes talking about the dangers of electrical sockets, I was done. (did you know that it could kill a baby? Did you know that some babies can get the plastic covers off? Did you know that it could kill a baby)

*Note, this was not the first “duh” moment of the class. lol

I think our teacher wanted to kick us out. She had no sense of humor. Or else we had a really bad one. We snickered a lot.

    • Matomeda says:

Yeah, I got nothing out of class. I wasn’t kicked out but it was really pointless and nothing I hadn’t already read. And our lady was also not very good. Same thing- ridiculously obvious info, not even current on various things, etc.

Maks is a known asshole though isn’t he?

    • JudyK says:

Maks USED to be an A-hole for sure, but he’s changed, and I really like him now. Much to do about nothing.

      • Merritt says:

No he is still a jerk. They way he went after Karina last season proved he hasn’t changed a bit. If he was so happy with Peta, he wouldn’t have been a jerk to Karina on the show.

I wasn’t aware that people actually still took these classes. My OB said they’re all a joke and as long as you’re comfortable with your doctor and nurses during delivery they will walk you through everything and ensure you have a speedy and healthy delivery. I delivered one kid so far with him and I feel like he’s 100000000% right. No amount of classes would prepare me for someone’s fist in my vagina.

  11. Syko says:

Sometimes I marvel at the fact that many, many people manage to go through pregnancy and delivery without any classes at all. /s

A lot of it is instinct. A lot of help comes from the doctor/nurse/midwife.

Still, I don’t think I’d be bragging about it.

    • Jane.fr says:

I took one. Once. The Strange Lady talk about vaginas as if they were flowers and then told me (us) to visualize my(ours) vagina as one. I just couldn’t any more and started to laugh. She did not like it and she obviously thought about kicking me out.
But seriously ? If your too embarrassed to use the actual words in public, maybe you’re in the wrong business.

  12. Rose says:

    Sounds like they were joking

  13. MrsBPitt says:

Celebitchy….Years ago, when my husband and I were expecting our first child we took birthing classes (not lamaze). The only class we skipped was the one about C-sections, and we weren’t worried, figuring, we wouldn’t be having one, anyway! Well, I’m sure you can guess! Emergency C-section! lol

  14. Beckysuz says:

I just remember the birthing video they showed at Lamaze class. So much 70s bush…so much. They really need to make a new version of those videos

  15. LizLemonGotMarried says:

I hated my freaking birthing classes-we went to one and ditched the rest. During the relaxation portion, I read emails and my husband fell asleep on the pillow. 😂

  16. smcollins says:

When I was pregnant with my first my husband and I started to take birthing classes. During the second session our teacher told us that all the planning didn’t matter because anything could happen causing you to throw your birth plan right out the window. We looked at each other like “why are we here then?” We didn’t go back and I did just fine delivering our son.

  17. hogtowngooner says:

“We got kicked out because Peta was misbehaving and not listening to anything. This baby is going to be a disaster”

OMG so funny, right? Idiots. Show some respect for the instructor and other attendees and STFU.

  18. Merritt says:

They are both known to be narcissistic jerks, I’m not surprised they got kicked out. I’m sure they were doing things that were disruptive and detrimental to the rest of the class.

  19. They are perfect for each other. They’re both low-class, fame wh*res. They filmed it because they would love nothing more then to attract enough attention to eventually get a reality show about their life together. They’re so gross and tacky.

They have more than once posed for pics kissing with their mouths wide open and their tongues visibly going at it. Guess they thought that was sexy? They’re just trashy. They have nothing after Dancing With The Stars to look forward to work-wise so they are desperate.
