Sarah Paulson won for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a TV Movie or Limited Series, for her portrayal of Marcia Clarke on People vs. OJ of course. She brought Marcia Clarke with her as her date and it was everything. She’s done that before, I just love that she continues to honor Marcia. Let’s see, Sarah has won a Critics Choice, Golden Globe, Emmy, TCA and now a SAG for this role!

The first thing I noticed about Sarah was that she went from her blonde hair with dark roots to a brunette with burgundy undertones. (I say that so confidently but I have no idea if I’m describing her hair correctly.) She actually premiered this darker color at the Producer’s Guild Awards but this is the first time I’m seeing it. It’s a killer look and her styling and makeup carries it as her black Vera Wang is actually very understated. Those earrings! Here’s a link to her speech. She called for people to donate to the ACLU. I already did earlier Sunday!

Sarah’s BFF Amanda Peet was there with her husband, Game of Thrones showrunner David Benioff. Amanda was in this fussy Michael Kors dress with clusters of sequins on the sleeves and a gathered bow at the neckline. I guess it’s not that bad overall and I like the fact that there were a lot of black gowns.

Lily Tomlin, lifetime achievement award winner, was in a comfortable loose metallic black top and pants. I loved her speech, you can see it here. Highlights include her opener “Did you hear the doomsday clock has been moved to two and a half minutes before midnight. This reward it came just in the nick of time” and her advice to not go out drunk and that “Behind every failure there’s an opportunity someone wishes they had missed.” (We covered Lily’s speech earlier, I just wanted to talk about her again!)

Here’s Felicity Huffman, who was also nominated in Sarah’s category, for her work on American Crime. Her husband, William H Macy, won for Shameless and thanked “President Trump for making Frank Gallagher seem so normal.” Yep. Felicity killed it in a white Antonio Grimaldi gown with thin art deco-like lines. This is beautiful.

Bryce Dallas Howard, nominated for Black Mirror (does anyone else find that show hard to take because it hits so close to home?) was in a designer/brand called Dress the Population. I found this dress at Nordstrom it retails for $308! She’s said before that she buys her own dresses for events and here’s something right off the rack that’s really spot on. I like it.
