I just had a massive brain-fart about George Clooney. I was looking at these photos of George at the Venice Film Festival and thinking “I wonder why Amal Clooney is in town with him?” Derp, Amal is with him in Venice because A) they were vacationing at Lake Como and this was not a long journey whatsoever and B) George and Amal got married in Venice! I can’t believe I forgot that. Almost three years ago exactly, then-Amal Alamuddin arrived in Venice with a fresh blowout and a wardrobe full of puffy minidresses and she and George had a very splashy Italian wedding. Allegedly, George and Amal met for the first time in Italy too. Their love is Italian. George and Amal were out last night in Italy:

…And I’d be willing to bet that Amal will show up tonight for the Venice Film Festival premiere of Suburbicon. But for now, enjoy these photos of George and Julianne Moore arriving for the Suburbicon photocall. I think Julianne’s dress is Chanel and my God is it awful. I love her, I love her work, but Julianne has some hideous f–king style. I wonder what Amal will wear tonight? Will she go for a regal gown and bad gloves? Or something short and puffy? Ten bucks says it will be vintage!

Totally agree. I think Amal Clooney also does this (picking the wrong silhouette) quite often too, but in her case going for childlike/whimsical silhouettes when a more structured elegance would suit better.

Amal is a great looking woman. The only way she could look a bit better is gain a teeny bit of weight (fat or muscle doesnt matter)

It was a spectacle and I enjoyed every minute of it, especially Bill Murray riding a boat around Venice.

I think the dress looks chic, especially from a bit of a distance. But I guess this is why I’m not a fashion expert.
I don’t mind the dress it is just that so many things are happening. Her hair is too casual. Since they were going to be in boats and around splashing water, her hair in a updo would make a world of difference for this look.

Amal’s dress is beautiful on her. She is always prettier when she stays in Italy. A lot of times her hair is looser on their date nights out, and a summer tan suits her.

I really like her, but she is bordering on looking witchy most of the time. The white-ish makeup, dark lips hair parted severely down the middle. I mean she has the stuff (great skin, great hair) but jeez she just does the wrong thing with it.
As for Clooney and his wife, I am SO over them. Her post baby body…lmao for days.

If she had done something with her hair, made it more structured and changed the shoes to a closed toe slim high heel she would pass. As it stands, tragic. Lovely woman, needs a stylist.
Julian Moore is a superb actress. Even though she did get an Oscar, I still think she’s underrated in the film world. Charlize Theron is an excellent actress, too, but she does get the respect she deserves, in my opinion.

The idea of it would have looked better as a drop waist 20s silhouette, the skirt should hang and not have the plume puffed and chopped. Longer closer to the body worked with the underskirt so that the textures blended could have been cute. It seems lazy and slapped together.
She is such a great actress it is a shame her fashion situation is so jacked.
