Henry Cavill broke up with his stuntwoman girlfriend: is Demi Lovato next?

Last summer, we learned that Henry Cavill had started dating a stuntwoman named Lucy Cork. They met on the set of Mission Impossible: Fallout and apparently fell for each other pretty quickly. Cavill wrote glowing Instagram posts about how much he adored her, and the tabloids claimed that Lucy was The One, and that they were thinking about having a baby. Well, it’s over. And I think Henry is already eyeing Demi Lovato!

He saved the world as Superman , but actor Henry Cavill has been unable to save his relationship with stuntwoman Lucy Cork. I can reveal the screen star, 34, has called time on the romance. A showbiz pal told me after partying with Henry at a Warner Brothers film bash: “His mates were trying to set him up with a new girl now that he is single. One girl introduced herself and a pal shouted over them, ‘He’s single and ready to mingle’. Henry laughed awkwardly before trying to carry on chatting to the mortified girl”.

Henry met Lucy, 25, on the set of Mission: Impossible 6 early last year. In August he gushed: “This is my Lucy. She is one of the best stuntwomen in the world. She has defined herself. She continues to define herself. She grows, every day. She is Lucy Cork because she says so.”

But since they split he has unfollowed Lucy on Instagram. And it could get awkward when they are both invited to the premiere of their new flick. It won’t help that last week Henry flirted up a storm with Demi Lovato , 25. She followed him on Instagram, then added a snap of herself in lingerie, writing: “Big news, coming soon.”

Clearly chuffed, Henry followed her back and even liked and commented on one of her pictures. Must be the Kryptonite…

[From The Daily Mirror]

I saw the Demi Lovato thirst-trap last week and I thought it was so funny – Demi followed him on Instagram, then she liked some of his IGs, then she posted a sexy IG of herself, and then he started creeping on her IG too. Classic thirst trap. Now, I don’t think Demi is the reason why Henry and Lucy are done – I think Henry and Lucy are done because he likes college-aged girls, because he still has that sort of mentality of a 20-year-old dude bro. That being said, Henry and Demi would be perfect for each other.

Haha this is the kind of mindless news I need. Classic thirst trap and kudos to Demi for the hustle

  2. Jenna says:

He is like my darling Hiddleston when it comes to his love life. Detracts from his attractiveness. Messy and desperate and so so incredibly young.

  3. SM says:

Is he incapable of making conversation with a woman his own age? Too bad thirst traps only work on the type of men whom I consider not worth the hustle. Still kudos to Dami for shamelessly going after what she wants!

    • kimbers says:

      lol right!?!

      love demi. Henry is
ok. Tudors is still the only good thing he’s done. imo.

      • Valiantly Varnished says:

He’s a perfect Superman though. His other roles have been pretty meh – though I did love him in The Man from UNCLE which he was actually pretty funny in.

      • Kathleen says:

@Valiantly Varnished, I agree he’s the perfect Superman (despite the flawed movies that don’t give him what he needs) but it’s so weird to me because in the Tudors and in Man of Steel he’s paired with older actresses and I LOVE him with older actresses. I thought BvS was kind of terrible but that scene in the bathroom between Cavill and Amy Adams was amazing to me. And I loved him on the Tudors with Gabrielle Anwar. It’s so bizarre that he’s so good with older women on screen but then spends his life obsessed with 25 year olds.

    • Kathleen says:

Right. He seems like a nice enough guy and maybe it’s because I’m his peer that it bugs me. Henry and I are the same age but women my age are basically “too old” for him because he has some kind of obsession with 25 year olds. That’s super telling.

  4. Digital Unicorn says:

He’s easy on the eye and can act but he comes across as someone who is a bit immature and messy.

  5. MI6 says:

Ohhh Demi gonna get her some Superman…
This is fun to watch 🍿

  6. zebra says:

Why do some people think that he’s gay? Just wondering.

    • Linabear says:

I thought he had a gay nude pic or ex relationship leak before he became famous that was quickly covered up. I don’t think he’s straight or even bi.

    • amilue says:

I’ve never heard of gay nude pics (but if those were scrubbed early on, that would make sense). I’d always read about the photos of him looking very happy and affectionate and chummy with other young men when he was more of a struggling actor. If you Google image search “Henry Cavill gay,” you’ll see those photos.

  7. thaisajs says:

I can’t believe I used to find him attractive.

  8. gabbie says:

    he’s hot, but he’s a disaster.

  9. Lulu says:

i think considering her dating history with wilmer valderama the last thing demi needs im her life is another perpetual dude bro with a thing for younger women

  10. Léna says:

He seems to have everything to be considered attractive, the face, the body, the style. But nothing does it for me. And friends thinks I’m nuts for thinking so.

  11. Jayna says:

Henry Cavill is 34. I really don’t see a problem regarding age when he was dating a 25-year-old stuntwoman. She has a career and is out there in the world traveling, doing a hard job which requires a lot of professionalism, preparing and getting those stunts just right, making the director happy. She was probably more mature than Henry.

The college student was a different ballgame. Although, Henry doesn’t seem the deepest guy, nor a great conversationalist.

    • Kathleen says:

It’s not that it’s a “problem” in a moral sense as much as it’s super telling when a man seemingly isn’t capable of ever dating a woman his own age. We live in a culture that glorifies female youth and so it definitely is a mark on a guy when he just cannot show interest in a woman over 30 when he’s almost 35. The only woman he has ever dated his own age was Gina Carano.

    • Valiantly Varnished says:

Agreed. And he was with Gina Carano for years – and she is older than him. So I think he is CAPABLE of being in an adult relationship but being as famous as he is right now he doesn’t have to be because 25 year olds and 19 year olds are around. Which isn’t exactly the normal deal for most 34 year old men.

  12. Valiantly Varnished says:

Oh, Henry. I have a soft spot for him because he is an incredibly attractive man who still has all of the insecurities and social awkwardness from when he was an overweight kid. When he talks about being nerdy and overweight as a child it explained a lot about him. He’s essentially a nerd who grew up to be hot but is still very much a nerd. And he has a sort of extended adolescence thing going on that hopefully he will be able to get over at some point. He’s 34. It’s not endearing anymore.

  13. Kathleen says:

I have a soft spot for Henry really only because I have a soft spot for Clark Kent. The DCEU movies didn’t give Clark Kent nearly what he deserved but I grew up a Superman (and Lois Lane) fan so I can’t help but have a soft spot for Clark Kent.

There is nothing ethically wrong per se with him only chasing younger women but I would be lying if I didn’t say that it impacts how I feel about him. He’s almost 35 years old and he seemingly has no interest in women his own age and I’m sorry but that’s a stain on him. We all know that we live in a super misogynist culture that glorifies younger women at the expense of older women but I don’t actually have to like men who keep that stigma going.

So in summary: I love Clark Kent. Henry Cavill is no Clark Kent. Sorry Henry.

    • HotCuppa says:

Henry has a reputation on the blinds to like very young girls. As in 25 is too old for this perv. And coincidentally he featured alot recently for being caught with a girl who was under 18 by his girlfriend. Funny that its in the mainstream media a week later that his relationship is over….

  14. Ginger says:

I’m amazed that the press has never reported on how he exclusively dated much older women before he became famous. He had a girlfriend in her late 40s when he was still in his 20s.

    • Kathleen says:

@Ginger—and it’s of note that some of his most famous female co-stars have been older. His love interest/wife on the Tudors was Gabrielle Anwar and she was like 38/39 when he was 24. He’s paired again with Amy Adams in the Superman franchise and she’s 8 years older than him. He actually plays very WELL with older women on-screen which is why it’s so weird to me all the time that his off screen reputation has been all these super young women.

      • Ginger says:

Yes, he’s very natural with older women. When he was a bartender in West Hollywood, young girls went after him all the time (not to mention the gays) but he liked the older ladies. He’s the youngest of several boys and I think he missed some attention from Mum. He’s not spoiled or a jerk; he’s a very nice guy who may be trying to date women that are ‘appropriate’ for his image when that’s not what he really likes? IDK.

  15. Hotsauceinmybag says:

HC is a little extra, but I have to be honest, looking at his past girlfriends, I find it refreshing that he doesn’t just date pin thin model types (nothing wrong with being pin thin though!). It would just be dreadfully cliche IMO. Hurrah for us muscular types!

  16. Pandy says:

Denim stockings and garter? Wow. I’m embarrassed for her.

  17. TrixC says:

I’ll be honest, I find him gorgeous, even with a moustache!

  18. Elisa says:

I have to agree with what everyone is saying: he’s only into women so much younger than him since he became Superman famous, though I’m not sure if it’s his own thinking that leads him to date according to his new image, or if someone put the idea in his head. Gina was in his age group, and I think the woman before Gina (Ellen Whitaker, she was a show-jumper, I think) was around his age, as well. His costars have gotten younger than him, too,now that I think of it, aside from Amy Adam’s (Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Debicki were 24-25 when Man from Uncle was filmed, compared to some of his Tudors costars who were his age if not older)
