Not on the links but Dan Schneider and Nickelodeon have parted ways. Hopefully his exposure is next.

Ahaha, great minds, or fools ;).
This could be something huge though.

    • Tiffany :) says:

      Yes, it is long overdue.

    • Neelyo says:

Why now is the real question? He still has hit shows so there’s no reason besides something is about to drop.

    • Frome says:

Measure your expectations. Nickelodeon spent the last six months covering tracks. They have known for decades and while other organisations could just shrug and say they messed up, these are children. Failure to report is a criminal offence. There’s so much more at stake for both the company and everyone at the top. I wonder how many greedy stage mum’s and managers were paid off over the years.

      • Bridget says:

Failure to report isn’t what you think it is – only certain people are Mandated Reporters, meaning that they are legally required to report potential child abuse. Public school teachers, counselors, etc are mandated reporters. The folks at Nickelodeon are not. However, if they knowingly covered up a crime that’s different.

I had lost hope he’d get what he deserves, but this is promising.

  3. Shelley says:

Saw the announcement, I’m wondering if Nickelodeon is thinking it dodged a bullet. Think kids will come forward now that corporate backers are uncoupled?

  4. Jag says:

It’s called Invasion of Privacy? I’d say that’s appropriate since someone spilled that she’s 7 months pregnant.

  5. Nancy says:

Is she impersonating Rihanna on the cover? If she is, it’s a fail.

  6. Lilly says:

    Yay! Love Cardi B.

  7. Kitten says:

Not in the links but, Alton Sterling.

    Donate, protest, march.

Show the same amount of outrage that we did for suburban school shootings. The persistent murdering of unarmed PoC by law enforcement is an intolerable American epidemic that shows no sign of stopping. Time for us to start caring about PoC as much as we care about other people’s white children SMDH.

    • sza says:

“other people’s white children”? Kitten…that is hurting my heart. The kids at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas were not all “white”. That remark is beneath you. Any school shooting anywhere with any kids is an outrage. And by all means, bring light on Alton-donate,protest and march. We need each other. All of us.

    • Lady Rain says:

Thank you for speaking the truth, Kitten.

    • rahrahroey says:

      I agree, Kitten.

Putting a citizenship question on the census form is a scary move. The reason for it is transparent.

When census takers claim that answers are confidential, I always tell them the story of how the US government put Japanese Americans into concentration camps very quickly because they used data from the 1940 census.

Nothing is really confidential, even before computers. If the government is determined to do a Bad Thing, it will do whatever it has to do in order to make that Bad Thing happen. And Trump is especially into doing Bad Things.

And yes, it will make the job of census takers harder. Which means we won’t have reliable info from the census.

I won’t answer that question myself.
