Page Six: Kris Jenner is now going to manage Kanye West & Travis Scott

Kanye West and Kris Jenner

One of the oddest things about the Kardashian-Jenner family is that Kris Jenner is truly the manager for the entire clan. Even if you just marry into the family, even if you just put a baby into one of them, Kris Jenner is your manager now. I remember when Kris Jenner became Lamar Odom’s manager and I just thought it was so f–king weird: here was this pro athlete, making millions of dollars a year, and he ends up being managed by his wife’s mother. Granted, Kris Jenner is a “good manager” in that she absolutely put her family on the map and she makes sure that they’re all very, very rich. But I would still want to have a manager outside of the family, I guess?

Anyway, Kanye West was the only hold-out of the men around the Kardash-Jenner women. Kanye had a longtime relationship with manager Izvor “Izzy” Zivkovic. But Kanye recently ended his relationship with Zivkovic, and word was that Kanye was going to sign with Scooter Braun, best known as the manager to the most high-maintenance divas, like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. Well, now Page Six reports that Kanye is actually going to be managed by Kris Jenner.

Kris Jenner is now guiding the careers of two of the rap world’s hottest artists — Kanye West and Travis Scott. Sources tell us that the Kardashian clan momager is behind her son-in-law West’s parting ways with his longtime manager Izvor “Izzy” Zivkovic, as well as Scott’s leaving his own management team.

“They’ve been off and on for years,” said a source of West and Zivkovic. “But Kris is in [West’s] ears. Kanye’s been making changes and [he and Zivkovic] have grown apart — but Kris definitely gives her opinion and Kanye’s all ears. She’s about brand building and is gangster at it,” the insider said.

“She also told Travis Scott [father of Kris’ new granddaughter, Stormi, with Kylie Jenner] to fire Mark Gillespie. They are 100 percent part of that Kardashian-Jenner brand.” Scott left Gillespie’s Three Six Zero management last month, weeks before West parted ways with Zivkovic.

The two rappers have been collaborating together to deliver West a hit, and have been spotted recording in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

One of the things I’ve always liked about Kanye is how much he truly adores Kim’s family. Kanye and Kris are genuinely close, and he respects her deeply. It wouldn’t surprise me if he has gone to Kris for business and financial and managerial advice for years. But it’s still weird, right? Kris Jenner is now Kanye West’s manager, for the love of God.

As for Travis Scott… well, I don’t even know. I doubt he’ll be around for very long, but we’ll see. Kylie Jenner denied this, but she denies a lot of sh-t that is very obviously true, so whatever.

I mean she may be the devil herself but she’s damn good are propelling and keeping her offspring relevant and the cash rolling so it’s not too stupid of a move.

Say What you will about her abilities as a decent parent, but she built multiple careers and an empire out of a badly filmed sex tape. She she a fantastic manager, no lie.

  4. Pandy says:

Ew. WAAAAAY too close to home. Bad idea.

    • Lirko says:

Right? Talk about being ”emeshed”. But her priority is $ and not the emotional health of others, so…

  5. BB90 says:

The Devil works hard but Kris Jenner works harder!

    Can she manage me? lol

Kanye’s career has been on the down slope since being with Kim. He’s not nearly as prolific as he used to be and has gotten into disputes with some of his long-term collaborators (e.g. jay-z, etc). Not sure why Travis would see that and think “sign me up!”

She is definitely a super talented manager for a certain type of celebrity (reality tv based) but she doesn’t have much of a track record with legitimate folks.

Kanye lost his arty edge cred when he got with Kim, and Kris knows about as much about arty edges as Justin Throw Cushion. Kanye is screwed.

  7. Frome says:

She is an excellent manager and it could be a good move for Travis but not for Kanye. Kanye is already emotionally dysregulated as it is, what happens if he breakups with Kim? I know that Kris is known to maintain relationships with her kids exes but would that matter if Kanye is unable or unwilling to? What about when his paranoia kicks in?

Plus it’s pretty clear he is drawn to Kim partly for the family support system. What happens when that family support system is also managing him and having to deliver cold hard truths regularly?

  8. Ruyana says:

Wow! She gets her tentacles in everywhere she can, doesn’t she?

  9. me says:

Think of it this way…they are keeping the money in the family. When Kris passes away she is surely going to leave everything to her children. That 10% they are paying her just goes back to them in the end. Kris Jenner is a very smart business woman. Without her, this family wouldn’t be as rich as they are.

  10. JennyJazzhands says:

Kris Jenner is out of her league here. Every time she has had the opportunity to manage people with actual talent or skill she blew it. Unless Kanye and Travis are interested in modeling waist trainers on instagram or having a line of lip gloss they’re making a huge mistake.

  11. guiltypleasure says:

WTF is wrong with her face. She and Liza Minnelli look like twins.

  12. PamelaJudy says:

Have neither of them watched the show? All of her kids are constantly complaining because she prioritises Kim and Kylie over the rest of them, leaving them feeling unprotected and/or unprepared.
She is a super talented manager for sure, but the problem with having your mother as your manager, is that you EXPECT her to show up for you. She can’t palm them off onto other staff without hurting some feelings.
