I’ve been wondering if we would get any kind of update on the situation with Brad Pitt and his one true unicorn, Neri Oxman. It’s been more than a month since Page Six, Us Weekly and People Magazine were feeding us endless updates about Brad and Neri Oxman, who is apparently the most brilliant and beautiful woman Brad has ever met in his entire life. Oxman was even getting pap’d out in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she teaches at MIT. Then suddenly all the news stopped. The whole thing was weird. Well, this week’s National Enquirer claims that Brad is planning on renting a place in Cambridge over the summer so he can spend time with Neri. Only Gossip Cop said that was BS, and then Us Weekly did an exclusive about how Brad wants to have custody of his kids over the summer, and maybe Neri Oxman can come to LA too. Some highlights:
He’s making time for his kids: “He chose a project that films in Los Angeles,” a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly of the actor’s upcoming role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. According to the insider, Pitt aspires to establish a flexible schedule that will help in his divorce settlement with Jolie. “Brad wants certain provisions in a custody agreement that guarantee custodial time with all six kids.” Us Weekly’s source claims Brad already sees the kids “a few times a week.”
How Angelina feels: A source tells Us that she “has been very hesitant to agree to Brad’s terms because she does resent him for essentially forcing her to settle down in Los Angeles with the kids.”
He’s super-committed to staying in LA, even if it means less time with Neri: “Brad and Neri are still very much in each other’s lives, although not as much as he would like,” the pal explains of the pair, who have been seeing each other since the fall of 2017. “She will come out to L.A. to visit him this summer as he is filming, but she has a life of her own in Boston.”
He’s super-focused on custody: “Brad and Angie are continuing to try to work out their divorce settlement. There hasn’t even been a settled agreement drafted by either side, which reveals how at odds they continue to be.”
Yeah… Angelina Jolie has been with the kids all this time. They’ve been in England for a month (or maybe longer) while she works on the Maleficent sequel. I think the fact that we haven’t heard anything from Brad or his legal team means that Angelina has full custody of the kids right now and that there’s not much he can do about it. As for the Neri stuff… it will be interesting to see if Brad does end up making some kind of high-profile visit to Massachusetts this summer. MIT’s semester is probably already over, right? Does Neri teach summer classes or nah? What does she have going on that she couldn’t spend the summer with Brad in LA? Maybe that’s what the next photo-op will be: Brad and Neri, strolling along somewhere in LA. Or maybe coming out of his sculpture art space.

Brad’s team needs to take a smoke break. This is so bad. Angelina “resents” him, doubt it. They are really pushing this Oxman narritave. I wonder when we will get out first pap stroll.
Hey at least they are finally mentioning that he has children. Female tabloid readers were turne off on the stories of his “New happiness” sans his children. You don’t see Affleck with his girlfriend all the time without stories about him spending time with his kids.
It’s not only for PR but how do you think those kids feel hearing how happy their father is now that he is not part of their daily lives. I really hope he takes a moment to step off the selfish train and act with some sensitivity towards those children.

You lost me there. I knew of her even before Brad (which is painfully condescending to write, as if the “before” is unworthy), and I really don’t think in her world Brad and LA matter that much. She’s getting some, good for her, but she has a lot of stuff going on, who f-in cares about some Brad Pitt.
Yeah, professors use their summers to move their research forward, and her work is tied to her lab. Don’t see her ditching this to hang out in LA, especially since he’ll be filming anyway.
Oxman may only “care” enough to want to be f-n Brad Pitt once in awhile. That actually seems healthy for both of them! Otherwise, they can deal with their respective careers and he can mainly concentrate on his kids/divorce.

That sentence jumped out at me, too. She has a career. Even when you’re a college professor, your career doesn’t just end in the summer. That’s prime time to attend/present at conferences, conduct more intense research, get a lot of writing done, and prepare for next year.

She’s a grown, accomplished woman who is probably pretty wary of being Brad’s next arm-piece, and for good reason.
If Brad wants to see her, let him make time on HER terms. She’s got sh!t to do and a life of her own. Any kind of relationship is a 2-way street, and I bet she made that clear to him from the beginning.
Exactly! She has her research to work on, and she’s only been with Brad a few months! Moving to be with him all summer doesn’t seem like a great plan.

Exactly- the fact that he was an abusive alcoholic may be the reason Angelina is hesitating..
Both can be true. Angelina can be mad at him for how he behaved during their marriage and she can also be mad at him for dictating where the family lives and for flaunting his “magical new unicorn” in the tabloids.
I’m more disappointed that he hasn’t thought to get papped taking his kids to a museum or a movie or a restaurant….or anything. That is the real show, everything else is a distraction from his lousy pr camp.

With the abrupt stop to the stories a few weeks ago, I’m wondering if she reached out to his team and told them to knock it off? He seems to be clearly using her to rehab his image.
There are other place they can meet is not hard to hide, Katie and Jamie Fox did for years.

Well we are never going too know the behind the scenes negotiations and details. That’s why they have a private judge. Speculate away, I guess.
I wouldn’t be surprised that one or both are frustrated that the custodial arrangements aren’t settled, assuming that they are not. Same with the financial pollution of their divorce.
It will be better for all, especially the kids, when all of this is settled so Godspeed to them.

Maybe, but being in love is not enough to make a marrige work and I applaud any woman who makes her children’s well-being her priority, even if it means leaving a man she loves.

I think there is a lot of stuff going on in Neri’s Life than Brad Pitt. Did you know that Neri and MIT developed digitally produced water-based renewable material. “Neri is a leader in the research of digital fabrication technologies and how they can interact with the biological world. Neri has been nominated for THE DESIGN PRIZE 2018 in the category of EXPERIMENTATION.” So she will be busy this summer.
She does seem to do a lot of certifiable b*llsh*t research.
