Kylie Jenner claims she’s let her lip fillers ‘dissolve’… but does it happen overnight??

Kylie Jenner spent a long time lying about her lips. Kylie was born with thinner lips – no disrespect, I have a thin upper lip – and she was apparently always self-conscious about them. When she was about 16 years old, her lips started magically growing to epic proportions. She lied and lied about their growth, claiming that their size was just due to lipstick/lip-liner application. Finally, she admitted that she was getting lip fillers. She still hasn’t admitted to all of the other “work” she’s had done on her face and body though.

Anyway, the breaking news today is that Kylie Jenner now claims that she’s let her fillers dissolve. I honestly feel so uneducated on fillers, but I know that there are many cosmetic injections which “dissolve” in a certain amount of time, and that they have to be redone every so often. That being said, there are also injectibles which are supposed to last for a longer time, and there are even warnings that some fillers could permanently alter someone’s face. Is Kylie now saying that she’s skipped the fillers for months? Is she suddenly going natural? The thing is… she’s been posting a lot of photos on Instagram for the past month, and this one (seen in the header) is the first one where her lips look in any way smaller. Does this sh-t dissolve overnight or nah?

thanks @voguemagazine ✨

My injections are basically gone after six months. Some people have them last longer, some people don’t have them last that long. Her lips have been slowly deflating over the last few month, but i think she had implants which were removed. I have long thought she had both implants and additional injections (if that’s possible) at the height of her lip ballooning.

    • m says:

Would that leave massive scarring? The idea of an adding/removing an implant in such a small area (snipping a hollow, putting it in and then removing it once it has formed some sort of scar tissue around it) seems like a lot of trauma.

      • Elva says:

From what I understand, lip implants are inserted through the back of the lip/in your mouth to hide the scarring.

But yes, Kylie has had fillers for a lonnggg time now. The longer you maintain them, the longer fillers typically last, so it could take up to a year for her lips to fully deflate. Something tells me she’ll keep doing fillers, just not so over-the-top for awhile.

      • AnnaKist says:

I agree, Elva. I think she’ll continue having her lips inflated, probably just not as full as in the past. If she were to go back to her original lips (is that even possible, given all the facial work she’s had done?),it would throw her face right out of kilter. There was absolutely nothing wrong with how she used to look, but there’s no going back now.

  2. Sojaschnitzel says:

My mother tried fillers for the lips once and the doctor told her that it has to be redone every couple of months. Given that it was really painful and the difference was barely visible she never returned for said refills :D

  3. Dietcokehead says:

My plastic surgeon weighed in on this on instagram this morning. Kyleigh has had some of her fillers dissolved but not all of them. Basically, she’s toned it down so they aren’t clown lips but she’s still lying about her work.

    • CurlyWurly says:

It’s gross that her mother let her get plastic surgery at age 16. I mean it’s not surprising. Just gross.

      • Other Renee says:

Curlywurly, “let” her get plastic surgery at 16? PMK had that laundry list of surgical procedures all drawn up and in hand well before Kylie turned 16. The woman is heartless.

      • Elva says:

I disagree. Kylie had VERY thin lips and was incredibly self-conscious about them. I don’t think she should have gone so large, but if my daughter was 2 years shy of being an “adult” and having major self-esteem issues, I’d let her fill her lips slightly.

      • CurlyWurly says:

Elva, that would be your choice as a parent. If it was my child, I would encourage her to base her self-esteem on things other than her appearance, unless the “problem” was something that was genuinely serious or debilitating.

      • Erinn says:

“If it was my child, I would encourage her to base her self-esteem on things other than her appearance”

Easier said than done – especially with teenagers. The kids who can easily follow that don’t tend to be the ones who want to get fillers and such as much either. And I can only imagine it being even harder for the youngest child in a family like the Kardashian’s. Regular teenagers/young adults can be incredibly cruel to begin with- but add the celebrity aspect to it and it’s even worse.

Counseling is great, and would probably be the first step – but if my kid were absolutely miserable and getting ruthlessly picked on over certain features I’d consider MINOR tweaks. A little bit of lip filler isn’t the same as getting a boob job at 16. So many people get nose jobs while they’re young – and how many of them claim it’s for a deviated septum or whatever – even though the main goal is to alter the look.

  4. Noodles says:

When I had filler it was about 6 months before it wasn’t noticeable anymore. She looks lovely.

Her bottom lip looks like it has filler still. It’s that over inflated, stretched look.

  5. Elisa says:

I have no clue about fillers, but in the lower picture her lips look like she applied too much lip-liner.
Overall she looks so much younger and prettier without all that caked-on make-up.

    • KB says:

Yeah, over-lining your lips is rarely a good look. Unless you’re going for the Playboy centerfold look, I wouldn’t recommend it.

  6. mtam says:

She probably has a thousand selfies saved on her phone from any given day. Maybe during the filler transition she posted old ones and then posted the one with her new face once she felt it looked well. Definitely nothing overnight about it, but also not a mistery as to why it seems sudden.

Also, you do see a bit of a difference in size if you look at other photos than that bathrobe one. Or at least I saw it.

  7. KB says:

They’re still way bigger than they were before she started getting injections, but they look a lot better. She looks prettier, less cartoonish.

People go so overboard with lip injections. They only look good if they enhance what you’ve got. Tripling your lip size is not going to look right, ever. You won’t look like Angelina Jolie, you’ll look like Lisa Rinna.

  8. m says:

“i got rid of all my filler”

Not quite. Those cheeks tell another story.

I had read that she possibly had a “corner lip lift”, so now maybe she doesn’t think she needs so much filler because she prefers the shape? I still think she gets a little, but way more moderately than she had before.

  9. Jane says:

Basically let’s see how her lips look in 6 months.

If they go back to being paper thin then we will know if she is telling the true(th). ;)

  10. Newbie says:

No it doesnt disappear overnight. It takes about 8 months for it to dissolve. But it does shrink along the way. Looking at kylie’s current lips, they still look ‘filled’ just with less filler. I thinks she might have removed permanent lip fillers and replaced them with more subtle hyoluronic acid fillers.

    • Dietcokehead says:

      This is not correct.

Depending on the type of filler used, your body will metabolise it in anywhere from 3 months to a year or longer. However, there is an injection (hyaluronidase) which will dissolve fillers almost immediately (as in less than a day).

  11. Murphy says:

She looks like Caitlin in that last picture.

  12. Incognito says:

She may have had the bulk dissolve (or perhaps even taken out), but her lips were hella thin. Google images of her preadolescence. She’s still got something in there. That said she looks tons better with her look toned down IMO.

  13. A says:

There’s an substance you can inject in the lips that dissolve the fillers within a day.

  14. Wood Dragon says:

Will these vapid attention bores never go away? They have no personality aside from their narcissistic neediness and are only generically attractive.
I guess It’s some consolation that Paris Hilton has faded away for the most part.

  15. TaniaOG says:

Are we sure this isn’t a diversion? Her nose looks like a button in that first photo.

    • Fifi says:

      ding ding ding!
Distraction from the other plastic surgery she’s had. Same with kendall.

  16. Tara Beth says:

What’s with the “Contracted the Zombie Virus” red glowing shadow around her eyes? Not the best color for her.

    • Erinn says:

I don’t know about the color calibration on the device you’re using – but it’s an orangey/peachy pink for me, with more of a gold/orange tone in some spots. Not at all red ‘zombie’ eyes.

  17. Mare says:

I guess she noticed Khloe gigantic lips and decided she didn’t want to look like that.

  18. me says:

I hate when body parts become “trendy”. So now “big” lips aren’t in “style” anymore? What about those who have naturally bigger lips? Next Kylie will be getting rid of her fake ass too. Kim will follow. Maybe Kanye sent a group text like he did when he told Kim “big sunglasses are out of style”.

    • MissKittles says:

Bless the people who naturally have big lips! Those look normal. The ultra plumped ones do not & I hope this “trend” goes away. No one should aspire to look like a Bratz doll.

    • KB says:

Humongous fake lips are like humongous fake boobs. They look ridiculous when they are not natural. It’s like Lisa Rinna vs Angelina Jolie or Kate Upton vs Heidi Montag. Natural body parts never go out of style.

      • Sid says:

I don’t know what made Lisa RInna think she needed lip fillers. I remember her way back in the early 90s when she joined Days of Our Lives. She already had naturally full lips that looked great!

  19. Lea says:

I’m glad she did! I was on a 73 questions binge and I stumbled upon her Vogue makeup video and her lips were… scary to say at least. They may look good in pictures but they are terrible in motion.

  20. Jordan says:

She looks better with the smaller lips. Digging the more natural look. But that’s where it ends. When is she going to own up to her booty? Motherhood changed my body type to a pear so I get body changes. But that booty isn’t natural. At all.

  21. MissKittles says:

When I got my lip injections they told me if I didn’t like them once the swelling went down, they could dissolve the filler. I would go back to normal. So she very well could have done the same. These are not her natural lips tho. Sadly, she barely had lips beforehand.
Honestly, I hope she sets a new trend for normal looking lips. Not everything has to look to inflated all the time. Ass, titties, lips, eyebrows… everything is expected to be big & bold on women these days! That’s so unrealistic.

  22. Nancy says:

When one believes a lie, it becomes their truth. If she wants to be reminded of what she was born with, do as I suggested anyone who wanted to see original Khloe do, burn up the Internet. Kylie’s natural lips are very thin, as our her fathers (she refers to Cait as her father). Both the Jenner girls inherited the long limbs, which Kendall managed to get a career out of. Kylie just got lucky, dissecting her body to look like Kim’s. But the proof, as they say, is in the pudding, look at her real lips if you give any thought to it, sigh, and you will see the lipless Kylie. LOL. This is too easy, these Kardashians set themselves up like bowling pins. *none of this matters, or shouldn’t matter, they just want to be their version of a Barbie Doll. Run quick, Ken*

  23. serena says:

We’ll see about that. I don’t know if she also did fillers to the rest of her face or it was something else, but, if she’s saying the truth, hopefully her face will go back to how it was.

  24. Original Jenns says:

Her lips still look a bit fuller. She had no top lip prior to the injections – I think she just went down to a smaller filling, which, compared to her previous filler, looks really natural.

  25. Laur says:

I think she looks really cute with smaller lips, and they definitely make her look her age more rather than the overplumped ones she’s had the last few years. I wonder what her reasons behind this were, given how much she’s changed over the years and how insecure she’s always seemed about her lips, this must’ve been quite a big step for her.

  26. Originaluna says:

No shade. I have been noticing in the past few months how her lips have shrunk.
She’s not obligated to go back to her natural self because she’s entitled to go for the look she wants, but she’s been looking a LOT better since Stormi was born.
I didnt see this as a lie as i had noticed the gradual change.
FWIW she’s probably doing something else. But whatever it is. It works.
I cant imagine not having full lips such as the ones i have… naturally. But i can understand the feeling of wanting to “belong” with that Family she has. I guess she can file this in her teenage mishaps. Like people getting ridiculous tattoos or overplucking their brows… or something. Rich people do the teenage rebel mistakes differently 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  27. C says:

This looks like an old picture.. Hayley Baldwin’s hair is different than this now… Lighter and longer,I think?

    • Olive says:

that’s not Hailey Baldwin, it’s Anastasia Karanikolaou. pretty sure this photo came from her instagram

  28. Yes Doubtful says:

I actually think her lips looked nice before and after. Some of the work she’s had done hasn’t looked bad. It’s more of the huge fake rear ends that they all sport that makes me roll my eyes. Khloe and Kim’s are the worst.

  29. Eve V says:

I can’t believe what a difference the lip fillers made! She looks so much younger now, good for her. Now, if she would just take out the damn butt implant, she’d look so much better, IMO.

  30. Fifi says:

Still has filler in her cheeks and under her eyes though. Nobody cares?
    Fillers everywhere, same with kendull.

They’re just toning the lips down so people admire them going back to their “natural” roots. Yeah right. Everything is so calculated with this family.

    - no shade to getting fillers – I’m getting some under my eyes for my birthday and nasolabial folds and a little 0.5ml in my lips. I just hate the lying. I hate that now this is expected of young women and I’m stupid enough to follow along because now young women are expected to look like teenagers and not hot women anymore. Selena gomez, arianna grande, kendall, chloe moretz is like 21 and looks 16. It’s really gross. The trend is to have a baby face at 25, looking 16. Remember like in 2000 they would cast women who looked around 30-35 and they were fully grown women? Look up photos of scarlett Jo at 21! She looked her age back then – now that 21 is considered 30 in hollywood. Madness! Those days are gone. Margot Robbie gets so much S%it for looking GASP 28? She looks younger than 28 in my opinion. She just has a very defined face. Looks younger than so many actresses the same age back in the 00s. Fillers under the eyes do wonders though. Not going to lie. It knocked 5 years off my face in minutes.
