Bella Hadid’s hair goals involve a pixie cut, more bangs, going blonde & ‘a long weave’

Bella Hadid covers the September issue of Allure, which is apparently The Lips Issue. The editorial – which you can see here – is focused on lipstick, lip liner, and all of the hot lip colors for fall. Personally, I think Bella looks totally wrong in half of those lip colors, but what do I know? I’m obviously quite gauche with my Baby Lips tinted lip balm. Anyway, Bella’s Allure interview is quite harmless – she’s very girly and she loves talking about beauty/skincare stuff. She’s self-absorbed, but she’s not “woe is me” about every little thing. Some highlights:

On flying and jet lag: “In the beginning, I would fly straight into work, and really not feel well and not know how to handle my jet lag — now I’ve kind of perfected the jet lag. I’m on a plane every other day, so just for my own health and my own skin, I always have moisturizer with me, a hyaluronic acid serum, and a night face mask because I love doing facials on the plane.”

She doesn’t like a red lip: “There’s probably five times, maybe, you’ve seen me with a red lip. I’m very self-conscious about it. I always stick to nudes and darker colors, but this shoot made me come out of my comfort zone a lot….I’ve been really into just a lip liner, very overlined, with lip gloss.”

The hair risks she would try: “I definitely want to do a pixie cut. I want to do bangs again. I want to go blonde, and right now, I’m obsessed with long hair — I love a long weave.”

Her best cure-all: “My mom always said, “Drink water. You have a stomachache, a headache? Drink water.” It was always the thing that she said would heal everything, and now I’m realizing that she was so right — but I definitely have to force myself, [because] I’m not a good water drinker. Also, definitely excessive moisturizing on my body, my lips, and my face is something that kind of just makes me feel all around better.

Her favorite fashion trend: “I’m definitely a sneakerhead, and I love matching sneakers with dresses and gowns… I feel sexier in a pair of tennis shoes than I do in heels.

How she practices self-care: “I think mantras are really good, and I think that’s something that I really need to start doing more. I’ve written mine down and I’m a very spiritual person. In the morning I always take time with myself and have my crystals, and at night I listen to my meditation music just to prepare for the next day. With my schedule, I need to take more time to do that and to be more positive about myself.”

I remember when Bella had bangs. And you know what? I didn’t completely hate them. See?!? I don’t hate ALL bangs. Some women can actually pull off a certain fringe-cut, and Bella really worked her thick, straight bangs with a good lob. She also attempted, for a time, some too-short baby bangs which weren’t that great. I’d like to see her try a long weave – she says in the interview that she’s obsessed with Cher, and I’d love to see her with some super-long Cher weave in a dark brown or black. She might look amazing. I have no idea how she’d look as a blonde though. I just can’t see it. As for the rest of it… yes, water will always make you feel better. Mantras? Well, who knows.

I don’t really see her with a pixie, but blond would look good I think.

Out of all the Insta-Nepotism models, Bella is probably the one I like the most. She seems like a sweet girl (which is ironic, considering she’s the “icy” looking one out of the bunch).

I’ve never noticed before how gorgeous her eyes are! Also, while Yolanda seems like a hot mess, Gigi and Bella both seem like very nice people, so she did get that important part of life right.

Proof that enough plastic surgery can turn you into a model.
Hate the way you look? Just spend an obscene amount of money changing everything you dislike about yourself and you can be a model too.

Oh, I know that it is plastic surgery, but she is gorgeous. Her eyes are so pretty. She strikes me as sweet and a little dim.
