Donald Trump is suddenly super-concerned about ‘due process, fairness’

President Trump Speaks

Does the cognitive dissonance ever get to you? I’m speaking of the cognitive dissonance or the outright hypocrisy of Donald Trump, his administration and the people who support him. Donald Trump is the man who continuously laments how powerful white men are being treated “unfairly” while criminalizing brown and black people for nothing more than their skin color. This is the man who claimed he would be “great for women,” who also mocks sexual assault victims to wild cheers. This is the man who claims to be all about family values, but cheated on his pregnant wife with a p0rn star AND puts children in cages AND creates the environment for a massive amount of child abuse. Well, guess who decided to tweet about Brett Kavanaugh today?

Re: the reference of “polling” – polling suggests that a majority of Americans believe Dr. Ford. A majority of Americans believe that Brett Kavanaugh lied under oath. But polling also suggests that Republicans are more “enthusiastic” about the midterms now than they ever have been. Republicans think Kavanaugh is the hill to die on, and they’re going to grind on Kavanaugh’s terrified body and hold him down until they get what they want out of him, laughing the entire way. As for the “due process” – literally every Nazi rally from Trump contains the rally-cry of “lock her up.” Trump and his supporters want to literally lock up Hillary Clinton for HER EMAILS but a sexual assailant who repeatedly lied under oath as he applied for a job is somehow worthy of “due process.”

If someone says “due process” or “innocent until proven guilty” to me one more time, it will take everything I have not to go HATP (hard-as-a-Track-Palin) on them. This IS his due process.

    • Lightpurple says:

Especially when neither is relevant in the current circumstances

This pervert is applying for a job and is undergoing a reference check. He does not get due process. Talk to me about that when one of his victims files a suit in Maryland.

Dump and his ilk are going to control 3 branches of government by Saturday. If that doesn’t scare the f*** out of you, it should.

  3. Beth says:

He probably doesn’t even understand what “due process” actually means.

  4. Jerusha says:

    Central Park Five, C**ks****r.

  5. Elkie says:

Is this the same Donald Trump who called the football players protesting a lack of due process in the murders of young black men by rogue law enforcement officers, “sons of bitches”?

  6. Green Is Good says:

I’m gonna have stroke, I swear.

  7. Incredulous says:

Hah, Donald Trump has lived all his life in fear. Donald Trump will continue to live the rest of his life in fear. Self inflicted, too.

I love that he looks so terrible in these photos.
I have to take my joy where I can find it.

I am so sick of everyone saying supporters of #metoo or supporters of Dr. Ford are wanting to wanting men to be found guilty until proven innocent. I don’t want due process to go away, I don’t want men to be found guilty by lynch mob. I want people to educate themselves on sexual abuse, I want them to think about why so many women don’t come forward. Listen to the stories and see how much they have in common with why it happens and why it so difficult to come forward and to move on from. Listen to the statistics of how many reports are fraudulent versus how many are true or how many are not reported. I want people to talk to their kids, boys and girls, about sexual assault and about their rights and their responsibilities. I want them to hold perpetrators accountable for their actions whether they they occurred recently or years ago. Trump’s comment about “the girls are doing great, the boys should be worried” is so tone deaf to the cultural change that could be so good for this country. I am still shocked that the leader of our country can get away with saying something so maddening. He has access to the leading experts in every aspect of sexual assault and these are the comments he makes?!

Coffee table book of Kaiser’s wonderful selection of photos is needed sooner than later. At least I can laugh at them since I haven’t killed enough brain cells to laugh with them. Thanks again K.
