Kris Jenner’s third favorite child bought her a $250K Ferrari for her 63rd birthday

2018 MTV Movie And TV Awards

The Kardashian-Jenner family dynamics are often fraught and complicated. Kim Kardashian is clearly Kris Jenner’s favorite daughter, but Kris also has a soft spot in her heart for Rob and Khloe. I think Kris and Kourtney sort of hate each other at this point, and I think Kendall Jenner is rather wary of her “momager” too. But what about Kylie? I always thought that Kylie seemed so screwed up because Kris basically stopped raising her kids by the time Kylie came around. Then again, Kylie’s whole billion-dollar lip kit business exists basically because Kris had the foresight to put the whole thing together when Kylie was just a teenager.

Perhaps Kylie and Kris have gotten closer over the past few years. And so Kylie is trying to become her mom’s favorite! Kris’s 63rd birthday comes up on November 5th (next Monday), and Kylie decided to give Kris a special early birthday present: Kris’s dream car, a 488 Gran Turismo Berlinetta red Ferrari, which retails for $250K. Kylie posted this Instagram where she surprised her mom with the gift:

For my mom’s birthday this year, I gave her some cute sweaters, which is what she requested. I also took her out to dinner. Now I feel like I’m not doing enough. Then again, my mother would not know what to do with a souped-up Ferrari. Kylie is making all of us look bad though.

My mom is a retired teacher, and would just like a car to replace hers that has 200,000 miles and barely runs. She’d also like help with buying the food for her three rescue dogs. She’s turning 70 on December 2.

I’m getting her a huge PetSmart gift card for the dog food and some other things I know she’ll like, but damn I wish I could replace her car. She won’t go more than five blocks from her house for fear of it breaking down.

Just think what that $250K could do for people in need. 🙁

    • Seraphina says:

Anastasia, thanks for keeping it real. We take so much for granted and there are such great people out there helping others despite needs of their own. 250k on a car. Wow.

      • Alix says:

I’m sure there are people out there who wonder how the rest of us manage to piss away so much money, too. I think it’s a stupid purchase, but it’s not quite taking the food out of poor people’s mouths.

It’s such a “Mommy, please love me/pay attention to me!” gift — kinda sad.

  2. Beth says:

A Ferrari? I brought my mom to dinner and had our nails done on her 63rd birthday, and she was happy. My mom is fine with her Chrysler, and probably wouldn’t want a funny looking Ferrari

  3. Lila says:

In a world rife with tragedy , I take solace in knowing that the Kardashian’s are doing okay.

    • escondista says:

Same. Thank god Kris has another luxury car to put in her Calabasas mansion garage.

It’s one thing to give these gifts when you have the resources to do so, it’s another to be so tone deaf as to brag about it on your social media account when people are in debt and getting shot. Though not like i expected anything but tone deaf from this family.

      • Kitten says:

Exactly this. It’s all so tacky and inane. But that’s really all this family has to offer so…..*shrugs*

      • Sharon says:

@kitten you said exactly what I said – inane. And I’d like to add the conspicuous spending is beyond tacky. As many have said here, people are struggling with real issues, putting food on the table, fuel in the tank, school fees and then you get this… ugh!!!

  4. Laur says:

I often wonder how many rich people crash their expensive supercars, just because you have money doesn’t mean you have the skill to properly drive something like that. And I’m sure Kris Jenner will never drive it like it’s meant to be driven 😂 Kylie probably doesn’t know what to do with all her money

  5. StallinOnMyWork says:

You do you, I guess. If I was rich I would definitely spend money on stupid crap….like everone in my family getting cheapo gag gifts for Christmas so that the rest of my money went to sponsoring classrooms, since that is where America is at. Seriously, every winter my family cleans out the dollar store of its gloves and mittens each week so that kids at one of the nearby elementary schools can play at recess without getting frozen hands. I’d like to at least be able to buy the autism room some sensory equipment. Sigh. This is so depressing.

    • Kitten says:

That’s great that your family does that. You guys are good people.

If I was rich I would have my own cat shelter and I would hire people to care for the kitties, pay them a good salary with benefits. I would also love to pay off my BF’s loan debt.

      • ChillyWilly says:

Omg. Kitten! That is what I would do too! I would love to open a cat rescue. I see people on the news saying what they would do if they won the lottery and none of them mentioned charity! I would give almost all of It away bc NOBODY needs a billion dollars!

      • Anastasia says:

Yes, yes, a million times yes to the cat shelter. Mine would be no-kill (as I’m sure yours would be) and offer free neutering and spaying to anyone who needs it for their cat(s). In fact, if I were filthy rich, I’d love to offer to sponsor the costs for all the neutering and spaying in Dallas (where I live).

    • ChillyWilly says:

Agree, Stalling! That $250,000 could make such a difference in so many lives. It makes me ill.

    • Anastasia says:

You have a good heart for doing that! We need more people like you in the world!

  6. Jerusha says:

    Trash.

  7. Chaine says:

These people give each other so many cars, where on earth do they keep them all?

  8. ChillyWilly says:

This is so gross in every sense of the word.

  9. RBC says:

I would get the “Child, we did not raise you to waste money “ lecture if I bought my mother such an expensive car.
But I do wish I had that kind of money to spend on her

  10. jwoolman says:

The Kardashian/Jenner crew are always getting fancy expensive cars. Where do they stash them all? How do they decide which one to drive when?

Oh, and Kris definitely does not have a soft spot in her non-existent heart for Rob and Khloe. I don’t know how anybody could get that impression. She’s been awful to Rob as an adult and used both of them as cover for her affairs when they were little. Khloe was so obviously angry with her mother and feeling unloved and unwanted in the early episodes of the show – that came from somewhere. Kris used Khloe as a cheap live-in nanny for Kendall and Kylie since Khloe was very young. She cooked their meals and was taught how to drive a car at 13 so she could take them to the doctor or hospital if anything happened. Khloe quit school by 15 and didn’t bother telling her mom, just found an online curriculum she could follow to satisfy the law without working too hard but blasting through it as fast as possible.

Kourtney has always hated Kris. Kourtney is the oldest and she remembers well all the crap Kris pulled when they were younger. Even while married to their father, Kris paid as little attention as possible to her kids. She was certainly neglectful, but there is good reason to believe that she was physically abusive on occasion as well.

Really, they’ve all been dysfunctional to the max since the progeny were very young, and evidence for the reason points directly at Kris Jenner.

  11. me says:

Aren’t a lot of their cars leased? I believe nothing when it comes to this family. Kylie is Kris’s new fav because she currently makes the most money.

  12. Laura says:

I hate driving and rely on public transportation and/or walking to get around (I live in a big city so the bus/subway are great!) So I don’t understand the desire for fancy cars.

I wish I had the financial resources to spoil my family. I did send my parents to Disneyland once as well as Vegas and that made me feel good to see them having fun.

The Kardashians are just tacky…but I think that its part of their brand. Obnoxious over-spending, ridiculous plastic surgery, etc.

    • Swack says:

As I tell my grandchildren a car is for getting you from point A to point B and all you need is a car that runs. My last car had 256,000+ miles on it and was 18 years old when it was in an accident. One of my grandsons doesn’t want a car but wants a bike (not motorcycle) to get him to and from work. He’s only nine but that is what he’ll probably do.

  13. Patty says:

Rich people spending money – also water is wet. Seriously though, I think it’s sad. This family is always trying to buy affection from each other. It’s all so over the top and empty and hollow.

  14. Dvr says:

    Does that shirt have nipples

  15. Lala11_7 says:

I pay for my Mama’s car insurance and home insurance every year…in lieu of going on vacations….IT’S SO WORTH IT!

  16. PamelaJudy says:

I thought Kylie had moved up to #1 Favourite child now cause she’s making PMK the most $$.

  17. Jag says:

No, she is not making people look bad. Her mother is materialistic and wanted something that is a showoff piece, instead of asking for something more inexpensive and having her daughter donate the rest of the money.

I love the look of those kinds of cars, but would never own one. $250k would buy my dream home on a dream lot, and then pay for all of my expenses for a year. It’s insane that she would spend that on a car that many rich kids total in their first few drives.
