Us Weekly: Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton are selecting a surrogate, to have their baby

Gwen Stefani Just A Girl Red Carpet Arrivals

Be honest: when Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton first got together in 2015, did any of us really think they would make it this long? I didn’t. I didn’t see any of this coming. After more than three years together, I have to admit that I actually sort of like Gwen and Blake together. It’s weird. Anyway, Gwen and Blake are always getting rumors about an impending engagement, wedding or baby. I tend to believe Gwen wants to marry Blake and she’s just waiting for him to do something about it. I also believe that Blake got burned by Miranda Lambert, and he’s probably still gun-shy about getting hitched again. But what about babies? Gwen is 49, Blake is 42. Chances are, even if Gwen tried to get pregnant again, she wouldn’t have much luck. So what about surrogacy?

Ready to expand their family? Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are “determined to have a child together,” an insider reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly.

“They are in the final stages of choosing the woman who will carry their baby. It’s extremely important to Gwen that she give Blake a biological child, and Blake is so excited,” the insider explains, noting that even though Shelton is grateful for Stefani’s sons, “he wants his own child too.”

“Gwen just is so in awe of the love Blake has, not only for her but for the boys,” the insider tells Us.

By all accounts, Blake adores Gwen’s sons. Gwen and her boys regularly spend a lot of time in Oklahoma, where Blake has a home, and he’s turned his property into a giant playground for the kids. I feel like… Gwen has always wanted more kids, and she might even try this, even though what she really wants is to just get married. I don’t know. Most celebrities keep it a secret when they’re going through the first stages of surrogacy, so I don’t know if this is a legit leak from one of their camps, or it’s just a make-believe story. Eh. It feels truthy, but God knows.

    She’s 49, damn. 😳 she looks great.

I can’t imagine having a newborn at 50 but it’s not my life. She looks amazing and they seem very happy.

Honestly, I am 33 and expecting my first and I cannot even imagine falling pregnant again at 40 altough I am having a very easy pregnancy. I am just scared for the toddler life and I can already tell that I am having now less energy than in my twenties so I do not even want to think how hard it would be in my 40ies. So no more babies/toddlers for me after 35/36 I just feel too old for that.

Haha. I just comented a day or two ago under the post about the everlasting love between Chrissy and John Legend, that the race of “whose love is deeper and hoter” is on. And here it it. It is really Gwen ans Blake that love each other so much they need to see that love manifest in a child. I know I am a bitter bitch, but for God’s sake, why not keep details like these to yourself? Why the urge to parade the love every chance you’ve got?

She has three children right? And our environment is collapsing. Maybe they could be happy with the children they have and give it a rest.
Just my bitter thoughts for the day here.

  5. Aurelia says:

She better be searching for an egg donor too. 50 year old eggs are too old.

  6. Jumpingthesnark says:

She might already have her younger eggs stored if she did infertility treatments for her previous kids and had leftover eggs from that. Whatever, good luck to them.

Agreed…..why do some people absolutely need to have their “own” child? Also, their child, if they have one, will be carried by a surrogate, so not exactly their own child anyway…..but somewhat. To the above statement, yes, I’m also getting a bit weary of hearing all the details of their love fest over and over. Maybe being in the spotlight somehow helps to keep their love alive and well, knowing that they have an audience. I wish them the best.
