Guess it’s over. Gavin Rossdale‘s girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla, was spotted locking lips with another man, seemingly indicating that she and the British rockstar have split. The German model, 29, was caught passionately kissing soccer player Loris Karius on a beach in Miami on Friday, December 28. The German goalkeeper for Süper Lig club Beşiktaş, on loan from premier league club Liverpool, 25, basked in the sun, shirtless in a lounger, while the blonde beauty, clad in a green bikini, leaned in for a smooch.
Thomalla and the Bush frontman, 53, began dating last year, a source revealed exclusively to Us Weekly in May 2017. So far, neither has commented on the dissolution of their relationship.
The musician posted a picture of himself with the 5-foot-7 beauty with the caption “My [heart emoji]” on his Instagram account in February. The picture has not been deleted, and the pair still follow each other on social media.
Man, Gavin just keeps taking Ls, doesn’t he? Gwen pretty much left him because he was banging other women, including the nanny, and she outed him as the sad cliche that he is. Then he gets the “younger model” and… she seems to leave him quite publicly for a younger man. How you like them apples, Gav??

For the life of me I never understood why Gavin was a thing. His band were basically one-hit (maybe two) wonders. If he’d never hooked up with Gwen I don’t think many people would remember him.
The fact that he gets so much play kind of blows my mind. Glad he’s getting some just desserts for all the years Gwen put up with his crap.
Gavin in his hay day was just…*puuuuurs*. He was beautiful and Bush was a decent band.

Um….he was gorgeous and Bush had 3 good albums and his solo effort wasn’t bad either. He only had one MAINSTREAM hit, but he had many other hits on Alt charts. I do agree that he STAYED famous because of his marriage to Gwen. but his band still tours successfully every year due to 90’s nostalgia.
I mean, he’s good looking, fairly wealthy, and has name recognition. It’s not a total shock. Realistically, though, Gwen started outshining him years ago. His big moment has passed. Her mainstream celebrity has kept going. Their marriage is an excellent example of how dangerous it is to marry the person you idolize.* It’s clear the dynamic was never in her favor.
*I’m not judging her. I almost made the same mistake when I was younger. Trust me when I say it speaks a lot to his character that he actually married her knowing how unbalanced the power dynamic was between them.
Bush had more than just one or two hit wonders. You may not have liked him or them but they were successful.

Ahhh Lorius Karius. He blew it big time with Liverpool in the Champions League final against Real Madrid last season, iirc. Then got shipped out of the club to Turkish super league (to move from a european league to a turkish league at this stage of your career isn’t… great, especially since he went from Bundesliga to the EPL now to fall to the Turkish SL). Anyway, Karius does clean up nicely, and I do like his tattoos. I think he’s someone who’d masturbate to his own reflection though.

I guess karma is a bitch. But then again, we do not k kw what happened. Maybe they broke up and she moved on. It’s not like they were in our faces with their relationship. I guess that is the only mildly positive thing that may be said about Gavin as opposed to his ex-wife. I know Gwen is a much biggesr celebrity that Gavin (and he is one only be extension of being connected to Gwen) but still, I can not NOT roll my eyes about how in our face and public and extra she and Blake are. She even had to campaign for that sexiest man alive title just to have a confirmation she scored a hot guy.
On a previous article someone commented that perhaps Gwen is so over the top with Blake after all the years of Gavin treating her poorly. She does have a habit of being extra and seeming to be more into them (Gavin, Tony) than they were into her, at least publicly. Blake seems equally into Gwen so she must be thrilled after all the years of Gavin acting like he barely liked her. After looking at it this way, it’s helped me realize it’s annoying but harmless.
She’s no dummy when it comes to business, she knows she has a fan base for her relationship and that’s why they lay it on so thick.
Yes, while some fans eat it up it’s also turned off others. I used to be a huge Gwen fan seeing as I was a teen during Tragic Kingdom. Bought everything she put out as part of No Doubt and her solo career. Don’t like the cutesy music since she got with Blake. I know I’m not the only one. But I don’t begrudge her her happiness. She’s always been over the top, all of her music has been about her relationships, but now she’s in one where the guy seems equally into her so it’s a big lovefest. At first I was side eyeing but it all makes sense if you’ve followed her career. She’s been aching to be loved, have her fairytale relationship, sing about it from the rooftops, and it seems she’s genuinely got it.
Honestly…with those two, I kind of let it slide because it was rumored for years that Gavin was a cheating dick throughout the entirety of her marriage. She was a fool for staying with him, and that’s a truth she had to eat when they inevitably divorced. Regardless of how I feel about Blake Shelton, I’m glad Gwen finally found a guy as excited to be with her as she is with him.

Yup, Sophia does not come across as very intelligent. I remember seeing her on a tv show where she had to answer some questions (e.g. who is the current German president) and she had no clue. But the worst part was that she acted as if it was so funny and edgy that she lacked the most basic political knowledge. It’s one thing to not know something but glorifying it that way irked me massively.
Sophia Thomalla is annoying at best. She has *very* questionable views and I wholeheartedly agree with Valois. She’s infamous on German TV for stating her views on a controversial talk show episode on gender. She basically pittied “not so pretty” women for not being treated as well. The episode was pulled from air and the internet and uploaded again over this controversy, she wasn’t the only one talking bs. The host was despicable, too. I watched the whole thing and it was horrible. She made for a very stark contract against the other guests, especially sociologists and very well informed politicians. Why they wanted her on the show is beyond me. To be controversial? All this episode did, was offer a very low point when it comes to informing the public about gender as an issue and as a scientific topic. The issues that come with this territory were made fun of, ridiculed and deemed an unworthy topic.
I saw Gavin Rossdale live when his short-lived band Institute opened for U2 in December of ’05. He had a great voice and of course they played a number of Bush songs. I was struck by how tiny he looked and he was also very good looking. Granted that was 13 years ago but he was appealing.
Oh! I completely forgot that he was Bush’s frontman. I only remember him from “Constantine”.
