Taylor Swift has a tortured history with the Golden Globes. She was once nominated, and she lost, and she never loses awards. She turned up to the show once and Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made a few jokes at her expense, which is the first time Taylor had ever been the butt of a joke before and she threw a hissy fit about it for months afterward. But 2019 is a whole new Snake, and Joe Alwyn’s film, The Favourite, is an Oscar contender. So Taylor decided to come out and present a few awards with Idris Elba. She didn’t walk the Globes red carpet, nor does it look like she posed for photos backstage. But she attend the Warner Bros/InStyle post-Globes party and she even walked the carpet!
Taylor stayed in the same curve-hugging Versace gown for all of the night’s activities. This dress is great, and her body looks amazing in it. I think it’s a combination of things – she’s gained some weight and it looks wonderful on her. I also think she got her breast implants redone, because they look bigger and less bolted-on now? I also think it’s possible she got butt implants. Still, I feel like Taylor’s hair is throwing off the whole look. The hair says “country music awards” but the dress says “Golden Globes presenter.”
We expect wackiness and interesting looks from Janelle Monáe at this point. But was I alone in thinking that the main part of her Chanel ensemble was just… a solid look? It was the gold hat that made everything weird. Sans hat, she would have just looked really cute and sophisticated. As for the hat… why is sitting so high on her head? Why am I hungry for Ferrero Rocher now?
Lucy Liu in Galia Lahav. I love her and I love Elementary, and I was sad when she talked about shooting the last episodes of the show. People really should have watched it, it was SO good. Anyway, Lucy just looked bizarre. She’s lightened her hair, and her dress was not great.

Janelle monae is freaking beautiful, but she’s dressed like an old fashioned space clown robot from what people used to think the future looked like. It’s not my favorite look.

I love Janelle and I am usually so delighted with her quirky style. This was a big miss for me, though. I really don’t like the white sleeves and the hat.
I love Janelle’s quirky style too and would rather see her in a Fererro Rocher hat than a boring blue dress. As long as she looks unusual and always beautiful (that face!), I like it.

Yes, the “not dyed” hair, the surprised facial expression plus the “loose” girdle dress to add fake shape. Pregnant. Sigh. Great news!
I think the light hair on LL just ruined the entire effect. Black shiny hair would have pulled the look, UP. Imagine a black FAuxhawk? The eye just goes down and out too shiny belt- wide then gets deranged. I appreciate the off-beat artistry, but was just a “miss” by one hair tone. & one distracting belt!

I think a lot of them are buying their figures. Plastic surgery has come a long way.

Those legs aren’t huge lol…and weight training is becoming very popular. Less cardio and more weights and it leads to a curvier body. She had a boob job years ago , the butt is probably exercise.
She has implants but I honestly think that her body just changed shape as she got older. She’s been gradually gaining weight and thickening up for years now. Some women really grow out of their thin lanky body as they head into their late twenties.

I think she got the butt implants and new boobs before she gained the weight (just my opinion). I remember thinking it before (or shortly after) she broke with Calvin. The weight gain came along with Joe, so the two events sort of blended together. I agree with Celebitchy on this one.
She gave herself a whole new body shape. I think that comment from Diplo about her having no butt really stung her.
I don’t think she has butt implants. I agree with Kitten, her body has been filing out for a while now and it seems natural (other than chest) because it is pretty even all over her body. I also think with time the chest implants look more natural and extra padding overall makes them look more natural.
I LOVE Lucy Lui’s dress, cape and all and black hair suits her best but the hair color isn’t bad, her face just looks a bit swollen, maybe a bad pic. Taylor’s curves look good on her so no complaints and the dress is sexy and looks perfect on her frame. Janelle looks an absolute mess, horrible. She’s so beautiful and I appreciate her freedom with fashion but look good or interesting please, and this look does neither.
I think Lucy also put on weight, her arms are bigger. But I agree she looks much better with black hair.

I think Taylor just put on a small amount of weight. Her tour finished and she’s not getting the same workout.
I did wonder if it was a mix of supporting the favourite but also laying early groundwork with the HFPA for cats next year.

She has implants for a long time. And was messing with her face. But her fans will always try to blame it on some more pounds. Even if in few years she will be like Nicole Kidman 🙂

Oh come on. She’s young. She’s never had kids. Her body can change in a matter of months. I think besides her chest, it looks like natural weight gain and working out. I’m not a fan of hers but let’s stop trying to put her down. Everyone messes with their face, but I wouldn’t go as far as saying she has ass and hip implants. She always had a great figure.

She gained weight after the 1989 tour and the receipts. Her tour and personal training likely evened it out – she looks fit and amazing. The extra cushion is helping the implants look more natural too. She was so think during the 1989 era so this is probably healthier.
She apparently gained weight after she dumped Calvin whatever his name is. But I noticed it the most when she was with Hiddleston, which fits that time-frame. I’m not a Taylor fan, but this weight suits her very well and she apparently feels that way too. It’s probably nice to be able to just enjoy food, too.

Taylor was actually the only ultra slim one in her family (her brother went on a weight loss plan regime a while back). None of them were as slim as she was.

Taylor Swift’s bod looks amazing. She’s gained a few lbs and got her implants fixed and she looks fabulous.
I’m sure like a lot of 29 year olds, despite a chef and trainer, her is dealing with her metabolism completely turning off. Mind literally stopped at 28 and needed to be medically resuscitated. But I think she looks better than ever.

Taylor isn’t 16 anymore and she has matured, and looks freaking amazing. That little bit of weight gain suited her so well, and that dress is great on her.

I saw several comments elsewhere online calling Taylor “thicc.” Um, she is not. And I’m not saying thicc is a bad thing, I’m just saying even with the slight weight gain Taylor is conventionally slender and fit, and she still does not have hips to speak of. And her butt may be slightly bigger, but definitely not thicc territory.

Taylor isnt as skinny as she used to be and she looks great. Saw her on tour and she definitely has thicker, more defined legs now. I figured it was from all the dancing she does now at her concerts. Cant tell if she has new boobs or if the dress just made it look like she was bigger than she normally is. I thought the dress looked good on her. She doesnt look happy in any of her red carpet pics though. Lol
There is part of me that will probably always wish I could look like her/think she’s the top celebrity I’d get plastic surgery to get her face (my eyes are big and wide as opposed to small and cat-like), because we’re the same age but I’m much shorter/nowhere NEAR as thin (and of course I don’t have those long legs…I just have big boobs, which I know many people find overrated because you can just buy a pair of those by getting implants, unlike legs), but I’m trying not to let it get to me too much. It’s not easy, though, despite knowing you should never compare yourself to other people, because again, we’re the same age, and there will always be an album title that reminds me of that. -_-

I agree with previous posters about Taylor. She’s gained weight and looks great. Her implants look better suited to this frame. I love the dress and its incredibly flattering BUT the hair and red lip are worn out. Imagine how pretty she’d have looked with a bold eye and nude lip and something different for her hair. Like a Jen Aniston-esque straight with a middle part.
Does anyone else think Swift’s dress and hair look a little too much “futuristic saloon girl” to be fashionable? Right, just me then. Killer earrings though.

Taylor has been curvy for a while — she gained weight before the Reputation era, and I think it suits her really well. Now it’s weird to see pictures of her looking so skinny — she looks MUCH healthier now. She’s looking so beautiful these days.
Other than perhaps breast implants that she’s had for a while, I think it’s all natural. Her mother isn’t particularly thin and I think this is probably a natural weight gain that comes with age and being more settled into herself.

In my opinion, Implants, weight gain, then something to get rid of the chubbiness her belly had when she first put on the weight (like lipo). You only get bigger in arms and legs only, no tummy, with lots of muscle gain, and her arms and legs look fine and all, but not muscular.
