Timothee Chalamet wore a sparkly Louis Vuitton harness to the Golden Globes

76th Golden Globe Awards Arrivals

I really feel things for Timothée Chalamet. He’s impossibly beautiful and incredibly talented. He’s also SO young and SO fun. Timothee likes fashion. He dated Madonna’s daughter, and now he’s dating Lily-Rose Depp, a young fashionista/actress. He’s turning into the best actor of his generation too. So basically, I loved that Timothee turned up at the Golden Globes in this honest-to-God SPARKLY HARNESS. His ensemble is Louis Vuitton and I love a sparkly harness. How chic. How now.

I don’t know what’s happening to me, because I usually loathe yellow dresses, but I was totally fine with Rachel Brosnahan’s Prada gown. Do I wish it was a different color? Sure, maybe. But I didn’t think it looked bad at all. The cut was spectacular.

Everyone knows that Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton are dating right? They’re dating. She wore this gold Celine gown and they managed to not pose together solo. Rami is waging one of the smartest Oscar campaigns I’ve ever seen, and I would not be surprised at all if Rami ends up winning an Oscar this year.

Timothee is adorable but he looks like he’s about to compete for Olympic gold in figure skating in that outfit.

  2. Lala11_7 says:

    MEIN GOTT…Timothy…

He got enough swag to PULL IT ALL THE WAY OFF!!!!

  3. BengalCat😻 says:

I’m happy Rami won. BR wasn’t a perfect movie, but it was fun to watch! Wish Isle of Dogs had gotten some love, it was gorgeous.

    • Mia4s says:

I don’t get why anyone would want Rami to win for this movie. When the Bryan Singer stuff eventually breaks (and it will…maybe not tomorrow…but it will), his win (and Freddie’s story) will be forever tainted by association with a sex abuser and people’s complictness. Why would you want that for him?

He’s what? 37 now? 38? He can have other chances.

      • Eva says:

I love Rami but you are absolutely right. Really disappointed that he’s in any way associated with Bryan Singer.

      • BengalCat😻 says:

I thought Singer dropped out or was replaced? I hadn’t thought of that, I simply enjoyed his performance. Thanks for pointing it out tho.

      • Mia4s says:

Sorry to advise @Bengalcat but Bryan Singer was fired with only about two weeks left in filming so he has a full directing credit on Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s success means a large financial reward for him.

Singer has already released a statement thanking the Golden Globes for this “honour”. So…yeah. 🤢

      • Dani says:

I don’t think whatever Bryan Singer may or may not have done should have any reflection on Rami or the rest of the cast and crew that worked on BR. It was an amazing movie (with some faults but still) and everyone worked their asses of. Rami deserves it. I was soo impressed with his performance. The cast and crew do not deserve to feel repercussions of someone else. I’m glad he won. Good for him.

      • BengalCat😻 says:

Thanks Mia, I wasn’t aware of that. I appreciate the information. So gross and messy, damn. 😖

      • Mia4s says:

        @Dani

“I don’t think whatever Bryan Singer may or may not have done should have any reflection on Rami or the rest of the cast and crew that worked on BR. It was an amazing movie (with some faults but still) and everyone worked their asses of. Rami deserves it.”

        So…

I don’t think whatever Woody Allen may or may not have done should have any reflection on Cate or the rest of the cast and crew that worked on Blue Jasmine. It was an amazing movie (with some faults but still) and everyone worked their asses of. Cate deserved it.

        Just checking. 🤔

      • M.A.F. says:

The Bryan Singer situation is the same as Roman Polanski & Woody Allen expect we are talking about underage boys. So if actress are held responsible & questioned about working with those two then so too can anyone associated with BR & Singer. No one gets a pass.

      • Sonia says:

“I don’t think whatever Bryan Singer may or may not have done should have any reflection on Rami or the rest of the cast and crew that worked on BR.”

WHAT? Anyone who follows entertainment has known about Bryan Singer for YEARS. It sure as hell is their fault to work with a known rapist.

    • holly hobby says:

From what I remember of the press at that time, Bryan Singer was fired for two things – one for showing up late or not at all and two for not getting along with Rami.

    • sommolierlady says:

BR is not a great movie. He has other roles ahead of him.

  4. Here or there says:

Timothée Chalamet just gets on my nerves with that. We get it, you’re edgy. Woo.

    • Mia4s says:

      Awww, he’s 23 and from Upper Manhattan/Paris. I get him….

….but save this comment because if he’s still this way at 29 I’m going to borrow it. 😂

    • Anname says:

I think he is slowly approaching the same thing Jennifer Lawrence experienced a few years ago: too much praise too early, too much exposure, rumored to be first choice for every role, and then the resulting backlash. He’s handling everything well, but I still can’t help but eye roll at his press sometimes.

    • Pamela says:

Here or There…. I completely get where you are coming from, but I like that he is over the top in this way. It makes fashion photos more fun when people do interesting things. Like Helena Bonham Carter. But it does put people at risk for being considered “try hard.”

  5. Esmom says:

I tend to like yellow gowns but I feel like this particular shade does Rachel no favors. Also, she always reminds me of someone else…although I have no idea who.

I don’t love Lucy’s gown, it’s too long for one thing. But I love her hair and makeup. A smile would have been nice, too.

  6. BooRadley says:

I know how you feel about timothee. He is so young so very talented and it’s so very confusing for me cuz I am here for him but also feel like a dirty cougar because I am HERE for him!
And oh my God he is modeling the shit out of that harness!! That jawline my God

    • Notyouraveragehousewife says:

Same! I’m 37 and he is my main crush right now and I don’t feel bad about it one bit.

    • Some chick says:

He is very very pretty, and his harness is on fleek. Looking forward to seeing what he does/wears next!

  7. Jerusha says:

I rewatched CMBYN last week and stand by my belief that Timothee was robbed of that Oscar. He is so good and, so far, very judicious in choice of roles. I think he could have a career as glowing as DDL if he keeps on his current track.

    • Eva says:

100%. He blew me away in CMBYN. Stunning. But as much as it pained me to see him lose out, it might be better for him not to win so early on in his career..that’s what I’m hoping anyway!

  8. Lucy2 says:

Sorry, I think the harness looks ridiculous. I saw him on a talk show a while back, and he seemed like kind of a dork, LOL. Maybe he was just nervous.

The yellow color of Rachel’s is a bit much for me.

  9. Nikki says:

I love me some Timothee–and please check out “Beautiful Boy”, if you haven’t. Both Timothee and Steve Carell did an amazing job in that movie!

    • Hmmm says:

He was good in the movie but the movie is not that great and critics agree. It’s only got a 62% on Metacritic. I’m tired of Steve Carell.

  10. KBeth says:

    That sparkly harness is absurd.

  11. anon says:

When did Timothee become so hot?? Anyway I think his outfit works for him, he’s very young and petit it he can pull it off. I’m just baffled by his loss, I thought he was going to win

    • Angela82 says:

I thought he’s been hot since Lady Bird. 🙂

    • Bella Bella says:

I think he’s like 6 feet tall! LOL Timothee can do whatever he wants as far as I am concerned. He is so talented and so good looking. I watched Beautiful Boy over the weekend. He was outstanding. A very raw performance. I can’t believe what someone said above about people not liking the movie. I read some reviews where people had some difficulty with the editing. That’s crazy to me. I thought the movie was beautifully edited — tiny flashbacks edited in at moments, the way you look at something and it makes you think of a very different time at that very same place. It’s a tough subject and maybe people don’t want to look at it, but I think it’s good that Timothee might be bringing people to the theaters or streaming to look at it.

  12. Caitrin says:

I LOVED her yellow dress. It stood out.

You know who else killed it last night? Gemma Chan.

    • L84Tea says:

I love it, but I might also be biased because yellow is my absolute favorite color in the world and I always think it never gets enough love.

  13. Hmmm says:

Timothee’s “beauty” is highly overrated. He’s not pretty, not hot, just bland. I guess he needs attention because he ain’t gonna win anything.

    • Stella Alpina says:

His bone structure is “blocky” to me. It’s hard to get hot and bothered over a 23-year-old who comes across like he’s 15 and awkward.

He’s talented, for sure, but the media needs to stop with the hype already. He hasn’t developed enough gravitas to play characters other than teenage boys. I hope he really isn’t cast as Paul Atreides if that new Dune movie is made. He doesn’t have the necessary maturity to portray Paul.

      • Hmm says:

The overhyped movie he did with armie hammer was creepy because of his little boy body. Armie is so much manlier than him it was just plain old creepy. I thought he was much younger than 23.

He has to bulk up or continue playing children roles. I don’t know how any grown person can look at him and think sexy or hot. Eeek!

      • Coco says:

Necessary maturity to play Paul Atreides??? Paul Atreides is 15 in the book, come on! If they make the character a little older in the movie, I think he will actually be perfect for the role, considering how Paul is described in the book.

  14. Sonia says:

I’m sick of Ski Chalet kid. His harness looks dumb af.

  15. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

Right now Timothy is a slice of spectacular cake. When he comes into his own. I daresay he’ll be a large slice of savory beluga cheesecake with shaved truffles.

  16. Lizzie says:

i briefly hooked up with a beautiful guy from high school who looked exactly like him. i mean – the jaw, the eyes, the hair, all of it. even their voices are similar. we dated again for a longer period of time in our 20’s as well. his face was so freaking gorgeous. i could stare into his eyes for hours. looking at timothee sends me into a major nostalgia spiral and gives me chills.

  17. Stella Alpina says:

“He’s turning into the best actor of his generation too.”

That’s a bit premature. Lucas Hedges is serious competition. He’s a year younger than Timothée, yet he seems more mature. And so far, Lucas is not involved in any PR “romances”.

That harness isn’t avant–garde. It’s been done before. But nice try for choosing something atypical.

Rami’s GG acceptance speech struck me as a bit off. His words were lovely, but his delivery seemed so carefully rehearsed compared to the lively and spontaneous speeches of Christian Bale, Regina King, and Glenn Close.

    • Bella Bella says:

I thought Rami’s speech seemed totally rehearsed and very artificial. I think everyone in that audience did as well.

  18. BANANIE says:

I think the yellow dress isn’t right for her skin tone and doesn’t look quite formal enough for the occasion. More like a beach cover up.

  19. Chantal says:

Are we sure Timothee is not Cillian Murphy’s son. They do not look a like per se, but something he has reminds me of Murphy.

  20. billypilgrim says:

    Timothy looked ridiculous.

Rachel B would look better in a deep wine color instead of that yellow.

Lucy was one of best dressed.

I’m sure pitchforks and daggers will follow, I like Rami.

  21. Fleur says:

Timothee is SO SO incredibly beautiful…

  22. coucou says:

Timothée Chalamet is just so beautiful and it doesn’t hurt that he’s smart and talented af. As for his red carpet style, he always manages to keep it fresh and exciting. I’m digging this look mostly because of the sequins.

  23. Suz says:

Adam Rippon is yawning at this old look.
