Emily Blunt got sparkly & sheer in Gucci while in Tokyo to promote Mary Poppins Returns. This is… a lot for one dress. [GoFugYourself]
The Mooch was kicked out of Celebrity Big Brother, lol. [Dlisted]
I forgot that Elizabeth Banks is directing Charlie’s Angels. [LaineyGossip]

  1. Aoife says:

It would have been a whole lot more look if she hadn’t been sandwiched between those other two outfits.

  2. Pandy says:

Why is old-timey dancing girl fashion a thing??? She should be can-canning in some gunslinger bar for tips.

  3. lucy2 says:

I’d like it a lot more if it didn’t have the bow on the belt, and the frilly shoulders.

  4. Erinn says:

That is one of the worst looks I’ve seen in a long time. It’s so over the top twee and cutesy… and still somehow like goth grandma’s drapes.

  5. CairinaCat says:

    I’m here for sparkles 🦄

And I thought some of those dresses we’re really neat in the fashion show.

The duggers can burn in hell, I grew up in Fundie Evangelical church that the duggers church is a offshoot of. Bill gothard teachings were part of the basis of it. We we’re what I like to call fundi lite. All the shitty teachings but not all the kids.
But before people think the duggers are all that unusual, I have been to a lot of churches of different denominations and their base beliefs are the same
Same rules and teaching, duggers are just a little more extreme but not by much, same hate, same racism, same intolerance, same prideful outlook.

    • Some chick says:

      Glad you got out! 🙂

    • Belle Epoch says:

CAIRINA CAT you beat me to it! I LOATHE the Duggars. They have been turned into an entire side-hugging soap opera. They are sneaky grifters with horrible values and I wish they were not being rewarded with cash and celebrity for being fundamentalist mutants.

  6. Katebush says:

That dress is weird on her … I could see it if one of the Olsen twins was wearing it or something . Also her hair looks yellow not a good look she should not wear it pulled back like that …

  7. minx says:

They should remove about half of that crap on Emily’s dress, then it might be okay. The shoulders and that stupid bow are the worst part IMO.

  8. Veronica S. says:

I don’t hate it, but it does have sort of a regal matriarch feel to it, right? Imagine this one somebody like Judi Dench. Suddenly, the regalia makes more sense.

    • Good GRrrrrl says:

I actually love a mix of Edwardian excess w practical moderninity. Could see top w jeans, for example, or studded leggings. I have to say the stylist’s for this actress have the challenge of a dead wrong hair color.

      • Veronica S. says:

I like that high/low mixing, too, but the length of the skirt gives it a very queenly look to me. It would be really interesting to see the bodice worn as a top with cigarette pants, yeah?

    • Some chick says:

Or Helena Bonham Carter! She’d wear the hell out of that dress. With some awesome gothy boots.

I like it on Emily too. But as long as we’re imagining things…

  9. Rosie says:

Just no. It looks something the angel on top of the Kardashian Christmas tree would wear.

  10. Ann says:

That article on the Simpsons was interesting. I am a die hard Simpsons fan but only for the classic episodes, as in seasons 1-10. Everything after 2001 has been a completely different show that I have no interest in. Even considering that, I kind of want to see it go until Matt Groening can no longer continue with it. He’s only 64 so we could have another 30 years of The Simpsons.

And I am not pleased with the Disney merger. The Simpsons theme park is at Universal Studios and I personally loved it way more than Disneyland. My brothers and me were raised on The Simpsons and were never really Disney people so I feel a bit like my allegiances are being tested lol

    • Harryg says:

I find Disney a bit creepy. Everything so milquetoast. The logo alone in a poster always tells me I won’t really love the movie. There are some exceptions, like The Incredibles. For example, I thought Secretariat had a good poster, and then I saw that logo in the corner, and I immediately knew what kind of movie it would be and lost interest.

    • Veronica S. says:

The increasing monopolization of markets does society no favors on either an economic or creative level.

  11. Lawcatb says:

These two photos remind me of that Seinfeld episode with the girlfriend who looked completely different based on the lighting. First photo, good lighting; second photo, baaad, bad lighting.

    • ITSNOTABOUTTHEPASTA says:

I was just going to say that!!!!! LAWCATB I simply adore you.

    • French girl says:

She looks creepily botoxed in more

    • Kitten says:

Haha totally. That lighting is so terrible in the last photo. I can’t imagine that many people would look good…

    • Steff says:

You read my mind. I think she got fillers.

      • Rosie says:

I thought she was naturally beautiful when she was younger (Gideons Daughter). Not perfect, but her face had personality and she would have aged beautifully. Now she has that waxy look and she’s messed with her teeth and nose long ago.

      • AG-UK says:

Her teeth annoy me all I can see is big chiclet teeth don’t people realise that looks weird even for £30k Also her hair needs to be darker washed her out.

    • Veronica S. says:

Lighting makes a HUGE difference in how people’s faces look. I had a friend who was working on a photography degree, and I was impressed to see how much manipulation actually goes into just the shoot itself. Apparently, part of the reason why angular face are so sought after in modeling is because they handle light and shadow well, which allows the contours of the face to stay sharp instead of flattening out in the two dimensional image.

  12. PhillyGal says:

Who is still watching the Duggars? I’m assuming that it’s the Trumpers, who can also give these vile people a pass for being hypocrites with their most ungodly acts of molestation, pedophilia, adultery and bigotry/hatred. What the hell is wrong with people???

  13. Harryg says:

Emily Mortimer should have been the new Mary Poppins. Blunt Mary Poppins had too much makeup, and what was it with that weird femme fatale poster?

    • French girl says:

      +1
Totally agree. I thought Blunt was a miscat as Mary Poppins. She doesn’t have the girl’s next door vibe or look

      • Veronica S. says:

Huh, interesting. I always thought of Mary Poppins as the opposite of the girl next door – there was always something a little delightfully off about her, something that spoke of magic and preternatural character. That was the whole part of the appeal when I was a kid. She was loving but firm, compassionate but also otherworldly. You don’t approach her, she approaches you, eh?

      • French girl says:

        @Veronica S.
I agree with your point of view on « magical » Poppins but for me, her beauty is « likeable » ,approachable like a girl’s next door beauty à la Mortiner

  14. Ye says:

I thats the sort of thumbnail you choose if you really despise someone 😛

  15. Elaine says:

Omg the thumbnail picture is just cruel lol

  16. GL says:

    Homely.

  17. Agenbiter says:

This is a great dress for the ascerbic brunette Emily Blunt of my imagination – with the Eve Arden IDGAF persona that I (apparently mistakenly) projected onto her

  18. CheckThatPrivilege says:

I’m obviously in a minority, but I Just don’t get Emily Blunt’s popularity. I find her interesting and very admirable for having overcome the challenge of stuttering, but I’ve never found her at all interesting as an actress.

  19. Call_me_al says:

The Iris van Herperin gowns on the Tom and Lorenzo site are next level. That would be so awesome to see them on some red carpets!!

  20. Trillion says:

Iris van Herpen is a freaking GENIUS. I love those frocks. All of them. Wearable art.

  21. Anare says:

Ditto. The van Herpen gowns are like beautiful insects or sea creatures. Other worldly. Love!!!
