I’m totally on egg boy’s side but have any of you seen the full video of that neo nazi’s henchmen putting him in a choker hold? There was real fear in his eyes. It was probably not the best idea to egg that guy but jesus, that kid got punched and then some and it was really disturbing.

    • Cali says:

That Nazi looked like the psychopath he is, what an overreaction to an egging by a teenager. Yes, the egg should not have been wasted on the idiot, but punching the kid was too much! I remember when The Governator was egged on camera and he just kept going and later said next time bring bacon😆 it made me like Arnold even more as an actor, not a Governor😑

      • Nanainwonderland says:

Egg boy is such a hero!! And Frasier Aning is a violent hateful person to hit a guy half his age this way. He could have taken it lightly, but clearly there’s no chance with that kind of mindset.

    • Veronica S. says:

Neo nazis thrive off of violence (their “political” platform is literally genocide natch), so I’m not sure what he thought was going to happen. They must be dealt with a hard hand and treated like the threat they are at all times.

    • adastraperaspera says:

I’m worried that getting physical in any way (including egging) is just what the white supremacists want. It breaks personal space between people, which they use as a license to attack violently. Violence is their stock in trade. I think it’s dangerous to encourage young people to do stunts like this.

  2. Cali says:

Spielberg saw how his comments weren’t so well received and showed him to be an ass so he done the right thing by kissing and making up with them, I hope to see his Oscar nominated Netflix movie in the future😆

    • BlueSky says:

I don’t think he anticipated the backlash and probably didn’t get the support he was expecting. When was the last time he went to the movies?? Does he still think tickets are like a $1? He assumes everyone lives near a theater and can afford to go. People will go to movies regardless but they are not going to pay money just because it’s a Speilberg movies. He just showed he’s an elitist and out of touch.

      • lucy2 says:

I agree he didn’t expect the response he got.

I’m sure he’s had a state of the art screening room at his home for decades, and probably hasn’t been to an actual theater, paid for a ticket, parking, food, etc, in ages.

The John Oliver interview with Monica Lewinski was fabulous. She is a very smart, articulate woman. She also has a wicked sense of humor.

  4. Michael says:

Steven is probably trying to cast Paris Jackson as the lead in his next movie

  5. Sarah says:

When I read the headline I thought Spielberg was involved in a #MeToo scandal. Saw the word kiss and thought the worst!

  6. Harryg says:

Btw, our Netflix account was hacked and completely erased yesterday. When we called Nexflix support, they pretended to be very confused. The only solution was to cancel the whole account (er… already canceled by the hacker?) and open a new one.
After the call I did some research. This seems to happen quite often, but Netflix has no back-up system so that you could prove you really are you! Seems like a huge flaw.

    • jwoolman says:

This happened to me a few months ago. Netflix was pretty vague about what happened. Said somebody managed to take over my account but I couldn’t get them to explain why or how. They had to set up an entirely new account for me, suggested using a different email address as well.

I contacted them because when I tried to get on, they kept treating me like someone signing up for a free trial….

I am binge watching Pretty Little Liars for the first time and am loving it, so soapy. It’s like Desperate Housewives but with “teens”. Looking forward to The Perfectionists once I’m done with PLL.

    • Corrine says:

Omg, I’m really happy for you that you get to binge the series in its entirety. I’m stoked for this spinoff, the promo makes no sense and I can’t wait. Enjoy your journey of mystery, intrigue and wild plot jumping! It’s SO FUN.

  8. Lilly (with the double-L) says:

Australians, online, have been pretty vehement with me when I’ve talked about my many racist experiences with them. This is when I lived in London for over 10 years and it’s a diverse city. As a Native woman and, except for Australians, I never really got any hate – except from a homeless guy once who called me racist names for Italians. I honestly felt more sad for his condition than angry for his words. Racists have a honing system though and especially for indigenous people, so the Australians and their words were hateful. The (alleged) shooter and this politician keep that reputation going, but the egg kid is my hero and I hope he’s the future of Australia.

    • Diana says:

I’m Australian and I’m so sorry, Lilly. Australia definitely harbours some racism, and Aboriginal Australians have experienced some terrible, racist government policies, racist scapegoating when it’s politically convenient and the everyday racism such a discourse engenders. I do apologise that you experienced that too. It makes me sick.

      • Lilly (with the double-L) says:

@Diana, thank you so much. A heartfelt apology is honestly one of the most healing things that can be given, yet it seems so difficult for some who misunderstand strengths as weaknesses. I really did have some wonderful Aussie friends too, including one who was studying midwifery. Her enthusiasm for my pregnancy and daughter’s birth was fantastic.

    Great Spielberg special one

  10. K-wall says:

In all fairness to Spielberg (and I don’t necessarily agree with his position) he has spoken in multiple interviews over the years about the “magic” of going to the theater to see a film on the big screen & the experience of going to the movies and he makes movies for that experience. I agree times are changing but I do think there are movies that are meant to be seen in the theaters and really do lose something on the small screen. I remember seeing Jurassic Park when I was a kid, in the theater, and was mesmerized. I also remember seeing War Horse at home and thinking to myself that this movie was designed to be seen in a theater on the big screen. It was OK, but I think it lost something on the small screen. I think that’s part of his style. I may disagree with his opinion about the direction of movie making, but I do understand his opinion, and he’s earned the right to articulate it. I don’t think he’s an evil tyrant trying to squash the “little” guy.

  11. Amy Tennant says:

    Gosh, I love John Oliver.

  12. Mash says:

This is how i feel and i know itll be unpopular but…monica being a woman (arent women suppose to support other women) you chose to sleep with a married man, he was a unsavory character too for doing the same. The public shame you felt was that you and bill humiliated hills. And I don’t think she should be the face of any discussions or movements
