Anna Camp & Skylar Astin are divorcing after two-and-a-half years of marriage

'Pitch Perfect 3' film premiere - Arrivals

I didn’t fall for Anna Camp during the Pitch Perfect franchise. She was perfectly fine in that, but I didn’t really start adoring her until her great supporting/guest arc on The Good Wife, where she played a brilliant young lawyer who used to her baby-voiced aw-shucks routine to her advantage. I’ve loved Anna ever since. But most people probably know her from the Pitch Perfect films, and those are the films which introduced her to her husband, Skylar Astin. Astin played Jesse (Anna Kendrick’s love interest) in those movies. Anna and Skylar were together for years – since 2012/13 at least. They were married in 2016. And now they’re over.

Anna Camp and Skylar Astin have called it quits after over two-and-a-half years of marriage, PEOPLE exclusively confirms. In a joint statement to PEOPLE, the former couple says: “We can confirm that we have decided to separate, and this decision was made mutually and amicably. We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this transition.”

Camp, 36, and Astin, 31, were last spotted together attending the Mickey’s 90th Spectacular in October. Astin has “stopped wearing his ring and has started talking about the split with friends,” a source told PEOPLE

Both have have since unfollowed each other on social media. Astin last posted a photo with Camp in January, showing them cuddled up as they celebrated the New Year. Camp posted a series of photos dancing with Astin just a few weeks later. The Pitch Perfect costars began dating in June 2013 following Camp’s divorce from Michael Mosley. They tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony on the central California coast in October 2016.

[From People]

This was the “Easter split” that least affected me – as I said, I like Anna Camp a lot and I think she’s super-talented, but I was not invested in her marriage at all, nor did I have any particular feelings about Anna and Skylar as a couple. It feels like they just sort of outgrew each other, but maybe it was something shadier or something pretty sudden. Will this be the divorce that has the most interesting gossip? I don’t know. I kind of doubt it.

Didn’t she dump her ex for him?!🤔

  2. Dorothy#1 says:

He was Greg in the last season of Crazy ex-girlfriend and was amazing! I’m sad to see them split.

    • BengalCat😻 says:

I love that show! He was a mich better Greg than that other guy.

      • Alissa says:

Oh I hated him as the new Greg! I stopped watching shortly after he was introduced. I deeply loved Santino Fontana as Greg though. Skylar just seemed too earnest to capture the sardonic/sarcastic character.

  3. Mel says:

I feel like she was on The Good Wife before Pitch Perfect…I could be wrong but I definitely knew her from the Good Wife before seeing her acasinging all over the place. As for the divorce…no feelings whatsoever.

    • Lightpurple says:

I knew her from True Blood, where she was hilarious and frightening as the wife of a evangelist church leader who wanted to torture and destroy vampires.

      • Mgsota says:

That’s what I was saying! We know her from True Blood! I miss that show.

      • LolaB says:

Yeah, we can’t forget about “True Blood.”

      • launicaangelina says:

Me too! True Blood was where I saw her first and she was great in her role.

      • Alissa says:

That’s where I knew her from before Pitch Perfect! She was excellent in that role.

      • Amelie says:

Same True Blood is where I know her from! She and her reverend husband were leaders of a cult training “soldiers” to kill vampires. She was cloying and over the top but also creepy and amazing in that role. Pretty sure she ended up cheating on the reverend with Jason Stackhouse haha.

  4. minx says:

They were a cute couple, too bad.

  5. Bellaluna McKenzie says:

I know her from her role as the reverent’s wife on True Blood. Never watched Pitch Perfect and thought she was alright on The Good Wife.

  6. Lucy2 says:

    Sarah Newlin!
I like her a lot too, she’s very talented and funny. I enjoyed him taking over the role of Greg on crazy ex girlfriend this year too.
These two were very gushy about each other for a while, this seems a little sudden. I wonder what happened.

  7. Lizzie says:

    this is her 2nd divorce…yikes

  8. manda says:

I thought pitch perfect was cute until it got to the puke scene. I can’t handle gross out humor.

I remember her from true blood! I think she is absolutely gorgeous. I wish her the best

    • Surly Gale says:

gotta agree with you….manda, it was gross and went on far too long. Just gross. Now I simply fast forward through it on my dvd player. 🙂

  9. starryfish29 says:

Damn, everyone took this holiday weekend to drop their divorce news. He’s adorable, I’ll take him off her hands.

  10. frankly says:

She was also Jacqueline’s rival on Kimmy Schmidt and was so funny.

  11. bonobochick says:

Anna Camp had an entertaining arc on “True Blood” too

  12. Case says:

Wasn’t there some drama when they got together? I think she was still married or something.

  13. Lawcatb says:

They always seemed so try hard in portraying how amazing their marriage was on the gram. Like cheesy pictures of wine glasses next to a fireplace with some corny caption. If someone seems too wrapped up with the idea of ROMANCE, I wonder if they can handle the day-to-day reality (sometimes drudgery) of a real marriage.

  14. SamC says:

Until Pitch Perfect I only knew her as Pam’s sister from the Pam & Jim wedding episode on The Office. Had no idea she’d done so much other stuff!

    • AMAyson1977 says:

That’s where I know her from!! Never seen any of the other shows/movies she’s mentioned in, but I’ve seen (and cried at) the Jim and Pam wedding episode of “The Office” +/- 20 times. 😉

  15. Bella Bella says:

She was great in the movie, Egg. I highly recommend it.

  16. BCity says:

Having heard a story from an LA-based friend that he’s quite the a-hole, I say hallelujah!

    • Steph says:

Tell us the story! I too think he comes off as a “hidden ahole “ bc he always takes on these cute and sarcastic love lead roles. And the fact he pursued a married woman made me dislike him.

Oh and he sucked as Greg on CEG. He was every character he’d ever played. No real depth to the role. Santino was the tits.

  17. Gemma13 says:

I loved her on Good Girls Revolt. I’m still bitter Amazon cancelled that show after one season. It was excellent 🙁

  18. Aubrey says:

    What beautiful people
