He used to be so hot. What happened? LOL. I love X-Men but have no desire to see this. Every time I watch First Class or Days of Future Past I’m just reminded how bad the acting is, outside of Fassy and McAvoy. And Sophie Turner really is a one note actress. Ugh.

Micahel Fassbender is really good looking but has never sat right with me. I always got bad vibes from him and felt sort of bad about it until I started paying attention to him as a person separate frpm his roles and learned that maybe my initial reaction wasn’t off base.
I think Sophie seems like a lovely young lady but 100% agree that she is one note. Almost everything I’ve seen her in has been a varient of Sansa. Not saying she is bad, but there are other young actresses out there who I find more dynamic and compelling
I’m kinda sick of seeing these men putting no effort it compared to their female costars. The ladies look lovely too bad Fassy couldn’t be bothered to put on a nice suit.
Me too! That’s why I really appreciate Seth Rogan during his tour with Charlize Theron. He’s clearly making an effort because he knows she will look great. Be like Seth guys!
Dark Phoenis is a VERY expensive movie. I doubt they didn’t give Fassy a stylist before that photocall.

I hate to say it, but I can’t decide on Lily Collins dress. Part of me hates it, part of me kind of digs it. It’s such a weird outfit but there’s something about it that is at least interesting, I guess.

This series of X Men movies have driven me nuts. Fassbender and McAvoy were PERFECT but the material never rose to their level. So frustrating. And good lord Apocalypse was garbage, absolutely garbage. It made me dislike Oscar Isaac on sight for the longest time (Is that rational? No. But that’s how bad it was!). I have minimal hope this goes out on anything approaching a high note.
Terrible to hear about John Singleton. Supremely talented, I hope for his healing.
I kind of disagree. I feel like both Fassbender and McAvoy had two films to develop their characters. First Class was Fassbender’s film and Days of Future Past was McAvoy’s film.

They showed TWO trailers for Dark Phoenix before Endgame last night. The guy behind us loudly proclaimed: “Sansa’s going to roast the Night King!”
he is trying to hide the receding hairline but I feel that tis is more than just some sort of combover, it looks like a bad wig actually. He’s been making terrible choices as an actor, and he’s very talented. His wife as well. terrible choices only aimed to make money and making the studios happy.
Right. I feel bad for Vikander. She’s still so young and she got hitched to Fassy right after he peaked.
Are the studios happy when her projects flop repeatedly, though?
She doesn’t even star in that many studio projects? So I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make? Her tomb raider is getting a sequel.
I think she was a Weinstein “discovery.” She may not be all that talented.
@Kara: My point is quite clear: her name is not pulling the audience to watch those films, so her choice of projects are not a matter of what makes the studios happy but more of what she choses for herself. All films are produced by someone or some companie(s), all films involve some investment risk. And many of Vikander’s latest projects have flopped, her tomb raider barely broke even… Her earlier career as an actress was a lot more interesting than her current “movie star” one, and that rebranding of her image was mostly a Weinstein Project.
Kara is right. Vikander doesn’t do many studio projects. Bourne and Tombr Raider are really her only franchise-type of films and she signed up for TR after the Oscar win. I wouldn’t call it rebranding of her image.
I also don’t understand what Wenstein has to do with her image.
Tulip Fever was really an arthouse drama,and Vikander probably hoped he didn’t release it.
She was discovered and had critical acclaim well before doing one small movie with Weinstein. But it’s interesting that you are trying to smear/ belittle her as deciding to be raped or sexually assaulted by with Weinstein to get roles. Maybe do a little research on her before putting foot in mouth? She’s a talented woman with the ability to act in many languages unlike most actors and actresses.
@Original TC: speaking several languages doesn’t make you a good actor. In many parts of the world it’s not special, unusual or worth comment. I actually like Alicia and think she’s very talented but it’s not because she speaks several languages.

I had and just read about the cause of death as well. Beyond sad, and his statements are very elegant and brave. He talks about wanting to help others but I hope he gives him self some time to heal. Just a terribly sad situation. May she be at peace.
That’s very sad news about John Singleton. People, get your kidney function tested. There are all sorts of reasons for strokes and one of them is a poorly functioning kidney or kidney disease. I’m not saying this is what caused Singleton’s stroke and now coma, but it’s just something I learned recently and I am passing it on.
