Idris Elba is officially a married man. He married Sabrina Dhowre in Marrakesh on Friday – he and Sabrina had gotten engaged in February 2018, when he proposed to her at a screening of one of his films. They’ve been together for several years now. Interestingly enough, Idris and Sabrina gave their wedding photos to British Vogue to publish, I guess they decided to maybe use British Vogue as their official photographer or something. The full wedding pictorial will be in the July issue of British Vogue, but for now, we can enjoy the teaser images Vogue posted on their Instagram.
They exchanged vows at the Ksar Char Bagh hotel. The bride wore a custom off-the-shoulder wedding gown by Vera Wang for the ceremony, then changed into another Vera Wang gown for the reception. Guests were in black tie. According to British Vogue, “The celebrations have been spread out over three days. Friends and family attended a ‘colours of the Souk’ themed dinner the night before the wedding at the Amanjena.”
Idris and Sabrina both look crazy-beautiful in these photos and I have high hopes that they’ll make it last… for a while. I mean, Idris’s romantic history is extremely messy (not all of it his own making) but I feel like Sabrina is a stabilizing force. Maybe? So congrats to them and good luck.

I saw a few people surprised that he sold his wedding photos to a magazine. Where did this idea come from that Idris isn’t fame-hungry? I don’t even mean that as a bad thing (more power to him), but to me he’s always seemed more than happy to play the game. 🤷♀️

Ah, a pretty predictable nearly 2 decade age gap (although they don’t look that far apart, to be fair). At least she’s not in the standard Hollywood star wife/girlfriend sweet spot of 18-25.
I think she looks younger than her age, and him older (although still very handsome). So it looks like father and daughter. But while 17 years is a huge gap, but not as bad as I originally thought looking at the pictures.
Looking at pics, he never really did anything for me. But then I saw him in one movie where he was a Dad, single, trying to take care of his kids while the Mother was hanging out with gang members. He was hot in that, has a nice body. Facially I don’t think he’s that handsome. But i guess I’m in the minority. I’ve always had different tastes in guys than my female friends.

Yup. Someone on Lipstick Alley posted an IG pic of Elba in Morocco as early as Thursday and said they were getting married and that Enniful was there and the bride was styled by Zendaya’s go-to.

I always felt Idris was a very sensitive fellow. One of those who fell apart too easily. Since hooking up with Sabrina, I feel he’s been doing really well and I don’t think it’s just because of her. Even before they got together I think he’s started working hard to stay healthy and not screw up any longer. The universe decided to reward him for that with this pretty lady.
I hope they have a lifetime of happiness together. Also, I love her wedding dress.

I was skimming my Facebook feed and sitting next to my hubby when I discovered that my dear Idris betrayed me and married Sabrina. I gasped and stifled a sob before I quickly regained my composure. My hubby has always known that Idris is my crush and snickered at my reaction. I need to drown my sorrows in a bottle of wine. *sob*
