Prince Andrew was ‘having fun’ & being ‘very relaxed’ on a Spanish golf course

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the royal family enjoy a flypast by the RAF at Trooping the Colour on Saturday 8 June 2019

Vanity Fair did a decent story about the current royal situation, or should I say, the current situation with how the British media treats various royal stories. On one side, it’s good that people around the world are noticing the false equivalence being used between “Prince Andrew’s BFF was a pedophile rapist” and “Meghan and Harry flew on a private plane.” The British media treats both issues like they are the same and equally worthy of the same kind of wrath. And that’s being generous – it actually seems like the Sussexes are getting more wrath than Andrew. Anyway, this VF story is basically trying to explain why that keeps happening, and we know why already. A heavy dose of racism, plus the realities of the media landscape – Meghan stories sell more than Andrew stories. Meanwhile, Andrew gets to be a jolly golfer in Spain:

Prince Andrew has been pictured playing golf in southern Spain today as the Jeffrey Epstein storm shows no sign of dying down. The Queen’s son was snapped in a polo shirt this morning on the greens of Real Club Valderrama golf course – amid worldwide scrutiny over his links to the paedo….but avid golfer Andrew looked “totally chilled” today as he teed off at around 8.30am with a pal.

The Duke is said to have to have thrown himself into “having fun” on the luxury break after Virginia claimed she had sex with him in 2001, when she was just 17. But Buckingham Palace has strenuously denied any wrongdoing by Prince Andrew.

Today an onlooker at the private gated complex, where the pair are holed up, told The Sun: “He seemed very relaxed, he loves golf and he’s very good at it. He was smiling and talking to his friend. You wouldn’t know to look at him all of the trouble that is going on around him. They have been having fun, enjoying the perfect weather and great food around here. Fergie was nowhere to be seen. She usually spends time around the pool in their private villa when he is out playing golf.”

Prince Andrew drove his black Range Rover to the gated clubhouse before tackling the Valderrama course, which hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup, and played nine holes. He and Fergie are staying in a plush villa with a private pool and lavish grounds behind two gated security barriers. Access to the exclusive resort, with multi-million pound villas, is by appointment only.

A source close to Andrew said: “If law-enforcement agencies or police want to talk to the Duke or any royal they just need to ask.”

[From The Sun]

So there you go. As Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace – and probably Clarence House too – all gleefully throw the Sussexes under the bus, Andrew is quietly enjoying a relaxing golf holiday with a buddy. Relieved that his former friend died under mysterious circumstances, Andrew has relaxed into a certain coddled comfort. He probably knows that they still can’t touch him.

I mean, he would considering the Royal Family and the media use Harry and the only woman of color in the family as targets to cover up the cheaters and creeps. Epstein’s death only shined a bigger light on him more and they won’t be able to use Meghan as a scapegoat because many see it for what it is now.

  2. M. says:

Must be nice to be so disgusting and know that Mummy will clean up your mess. The Queen did a church photo op with her favorite son then sent him on a nice little vacation. What a gross and dysfunctional family, and what’s worse is that these are people we’re supposed to revere and admire.

    • (TheOG)@Jan90067 says:

Three words that mug brings to mind: rage, revulsion, and reprobate.

      Disgusting, the both of them.

    • mint says:

He is an old white man. He will always be fine and never have to worry. And if he has a worry, the firm will clean it up for him. Nothing new.

  3. Reese. says:

Arsehole is too kind a term for him

  4. My3cents says:

Makes my skin crawl. So disgusting.
Also why do so many of these people with money have such bad teeth?

  5. OriginalLala says:

Not a monarchist at all but this shit makes me hate that whole family of leeches

    • minx says:

I’m American and have been generally indifferent to the BRF. But I am really getting to dislike the whole useless clan, HM included.

    • FC says:

I feel like this could actually end the Monarchy. The only stories that would successfully change the narrative at this point are major deaths (like QE), Charles banishing Andrew, or some massive tragedy.

As of now, it looks like their only plan is to continue throwing sh*t at Meghan and pushing Bea and Fergie/Andrew into royal marriages. I don’t think those stories are going to stop the Epstein train.

  6. Myrtle says:

How unlikely is it that FBI raids on Epstein’s homes won’t involve the destruction of piles of incriminating evidence? No wonder Andrew is smiling.

  7. MaryContrary says:

The inequality of the coverage is infuriating. I can’t even imagine how they’re all going to hang out on holidays. If I was Harry and Meghan I would never want to attend any events with any of these people. Ugh.

    • L84Tea says:

That’s the part I can’t wrap my mind around. How will she be able to be in the same room as these people? More importantly, how can any of them have the gall to face HER?? Oh wait…

    • M. says:

I have very little respect for the royal family. They are snakes who have no problem sacrificing the Sussexes in order to protect other family members. I just don’t understand why Harry and Meghan are choosing to remain attached to this toxic institution. It’s like watching a friend stay in an abusive relationship. Meghan was doing great things on her own before she joined the BRF. Years ago, Harry said he was going to leave. He should have followed his gut.

    • Megan says:

Did Andrew bring his own Range Rover to Spain? If so, where is the environmental outrage?

      • Tourmaline says:

        That detail struck me too
But I almost wouldn’t be surprised if he kept a Range Rover in Sotogrande for his jollies there.

Speaking of –is there any enviro controversy over the BRFs use of massive quantities of massive, tank-like Land Rover vehicles? In the DM today’s pics of various royals at Balmoral, there are a s–t ton of Land Rovers about

Prophetic words written 2 years ago by Yasmin Alibhai-Brown.

  9. Some chick says:

He sure does look like Porchey.

  10. qtpi says:

People say a lot of nasty stuff about Charles but at least he is into women over the age of 18.

Also – I knew Meghan would have a rough time joining this “family”, but it has been even worse then I thought it would be. I wonder if this is all what she expected.

  11. Seraphina says:

Of course, that’s what carefree people do. And apparently he doesn’t have a care in the world. Mummy has assured him of that.

  12. Feeshalori says:

Mummy is not going to be around forever so Randy Andy is on his own after that and he won’t be smirking in the future. Charles in charge will have his own plans for him.

    • Carey says:

One of Charles’s best friends was notorious pedophile Jimmy Saville and his favorite uncle, Lord Mountbatten, was recently accused of sexually abusing Irish orphans. Charles isn’t doing a thing to hold his brother accountable, especially if it risks his own power and status.

    • Feeshalori says:

Once Charles is on the throne, I’m sure with his slimming down of the monarchy to the main line, he may not hold Andrew accountable for any of his actions but most likely he’ll keep Andrew distant so nothing will backlash on him. I’m sure Andrew won’t have the favoritism and the perks he enjoyed when his mother was alive, and that’s going to be a rude awakening for him when that day comes.

  13. Rosewater says:

Andrew is still shi**ing in his diapers and the queen is still cleaning up after him.

  14. Maria says:

The Queen and Andrew disgust me.

  15. Lisa says:

Serious question: what can actually be done to make Andrew face justice? I am in the US so I am not sure what mechanisms if any there are to deal with this in the UK. Does Andrew have diplomatic immunity? What would be hypothetical possible outcomes if more evidence of his crimes comes out? (Hypothetical bc clearly TQ is covering his ass, disgusting).
His smile gives me the creeps, he always looks like he’s laughing about getting away with something — which he is!

  16. Louise says:

Yeah, I can’t believe people are still attacking Meghan for things like wanting to be a good mother by protecting her children from the spotlight, and yet they’re ignoring the much bigger royal story going on at the moment. People are acting like she’s the threat to the monarchy, not him.

  17. blue36 says:

I genuinely hope he gets prosecuted, he should not be allowed to get scot free because of the corrupt and immoral BRF

  18. Tourmaline says:

I predict he will never be prosecuted. The reason he made the statements this week about being willing to talk to police is that the police are not trying to talk to him so it is a risk free offer to make.

There are so many people above Andrew on the ladder of potential targets of prosecution, and that is based on those who helped Epstein procure girls to traffic namely Ghislaine Maxwell and the four other women in his employ who had non-prosecution agreements with the FL US Attorneys Office over a decade ago. Also perhaps people like that Jean-Luc guy, modeling agent who may have been bringing girls to Epstein.

It’s even doubtful that any of those people will be charged. The main action will be civil lawsuits against Epsteins estate.

So I think Andrew will skate away. I predict the next play in the York playbook will be a royal wedding for Beatrice within the next year and carrying on defiantly –knowing he got away with it and he’s the Queen’s darling boy. Already this week we had BP cross checking the court circular to try and alibi Andrew or certain dates. Their position is he will be protected at all costs and to modify his duties or hide him away would be admitting defeat.

  19. IlsaLund says:

Lainey’s article today about Andrew was interesting. Evidently, it’s reported that Andy & Epstein were getting foot massages by young girls at Epstein’s NY townhome. To paraphrase, Pedo Andy made remarks about the Swedish not being progressive at all in trying to try Julian Assange for rape and how Prince Albert of Monaco can do as he pleases, but Pedo Andy can’t and would catch hell if he tried. Made me wonder if Albert could be the “other prince” and if Andy really was into young girls like Epstein.

  20. adastraperaspera says:

I wonder if he’s been told he won’t be exposed if he provides information. He seems smug.

  21. tw says:

    those teeth, my god

    • antipodean says:

He really has no excuse for those ghastly horsey yellow teef. I am sure the tax payers have footed the bill for the best of orthodontic care for the precious pervey prince! As an aside I have a particular aversion to NHS teeth, my generation were brought up on drill and fill, and our teeth were universally ruined from the time we were at High School. It has cost me a fortune over the years to repair that damage.

  22. Betsy says:

Gosh, I’m just so happy when rapists get take get away from it all on free luxury vacations. I mean, if anyone deserves a rest, it’s pedophiles.

  23. Marjiscott says:

Well, all I know is that while he is on his golf vacay, attorneys in New York are sharpening their email devices to file legal papers , serving Andrew, and Sarah to appear in Court giving their mutual depositions.
The only thing standing in the way is The Queen, and Trump. Both are going sooner rather than later…..

  24. Bread and Circuses says:

Don’t the British tabloids punish celebrities who won’t give them stories?

It seems to me that’s a known phenomenon, which makes me wonder if Archie’s christening being kept relatively private is at least part of why they’re going after Meghan like attack dogs.
