Lucy Hale wore a mask to take her maltipoo Elvis for a walk in LA

Lucy Hales wears a mask walking her dog Elvis in LA

I am so hungry for any new photos of celebrities, I’m writing about these photos of Lucy Hale responsibly wearing a mask while she takes her doggo for a walk in LA. First of all, how cute is Lucy’s dog?? His name is Elvis and apparently (according to the internet) he’s a maltipoo, meaning a maltese-poodle? Super-cute. She’s had him for a while too, judging from her social media photos of him. Meaning, she wasn’t one of those people who adopted just for the quarantine. No judgment – I love that so many people saw that they were going to be spending months at home and they decided to all collectively go to shelters to adopt animals.

Anyway, I feel like there are mixed messages coming from officials re: mask-wearing. I understand that we are all now supposed to wear masks when we’re in the grocery store or public transportation or anywhere enclosed. But I’ve yet to see a definitive answer on whether people *must* wear masks while out in open air, going for a walk or what have you. Judging from the paparazzi photos we do have, it seems like most Californians have gotten into the habit of wearing masks at all times whenever they leave their homes. That being said, here in Virginia, no one is wearing a mask when we’re walking dogs or hiking or whatever. I’ve seen tons of mask-wearers at the grocery store, of course. But not walking outdoors.

Props to Lucy for her responsible citizenry. And her cute AF dog.

I can’t find masks anywhere, think I’ll have to order handmade from Etsy or somewhere similar!

We adopted a maltipoo about 6 weeks ago and oh my god she’s the sweetest thing ever. I had no idea they were so sweet and fun!!

In Beverly Hills, which is technically a separate city from Los Angeles, you must wear masks anytime you go outside. For the rest of LA, you have to wear them if you go to an essential business, like the grocery store, but I’ve seen a lot of people wearing them all the time.

This. You will not be allowed to enter a store without one. Lots of people have them on outside too.

LA city guidance is that we are to wear masks when outdoors to contain spread. I live in LA county where it is still a “suggestion”. I am paying attention to Garcetti than my own mayor.
Many still do not wear masks, but we are all to wear masks when grocery shopping and interacting with essential workers.

My very talented friend made masks for our friend group with the election date on them.

You know who else has a small white dog named Elvis? Ana de Armas. Though I think she’s going to lay off the pap strolls now that she knows she’s being teased and blocked her fan sites for it.

I picked up on that too. What is with all the dogs named Elvis? Priscilla must be so proud. If she even knows about it. Sadly, she is a scientologist so they probably don’t let her have an iphone.

Also, “maltipoo” sounds like you’d need to bring along a lot of those bags. 😛

I do see that Lucy has come prepared – in the top pic you can see she has a bag dispenser on the leash handle.

People around where I am are mostly masking up. I’ve seen them on folks walking their dogs, or just going for walks. People here are apparently mostly observing social distancing. Hopefully it is good enough. People are stubborn – not just americans, everyone – and you can’t really enforce something like that other than to say “you can’t come into this place without one.”

Let’s not forget that masking isn’t just for old people. The more of us who do it, the more we can slow the infection rate. Assume you are a carrier, if you’re not sick. You might not be. But it is the responsible thing to do.

I mean, good for Beverly Hills. But how they gonna get everyone to comply? Bring Eddie Murphy out of retirement?

Speaking of Eddie… there’s more tea there than has been spilled so far. How about a Vintage Gossip series, while nothing else is going on in celebrityville? Tea Throughout the Ages or something like that? Just a thot from this THOT.

It’s always good to wear a mask. I don’t wear one in my yard, but when I run around the neighborhood, I wear a paper mask. Added bonus: good for my allergies

I’m in L.A. and don’t wear a mask when I go running or when I walk my dog. I only wear one when I go to the store. You basically cannot get in without some type of face covering.
From what I have seen, most people don’t wear one when they are exercising outdoors, I have just seen elderly people wearing them on their walks.

I fully admit I don’t wear one while exercising outdoors because it’s just not enough airflow (I own a Vogmask because I travel for my job, so it’s pretty heavy filtration), but I likely would if I lived in a more populated urban area or a hot zone. Thus far, my area has been fairly fortunate in that we have lots of space to move around and maintain social distancing, so I only really need to wear it when I visit stores and the like. If I lived in a place with the kind of urban density LA has, I’d probably be more cautious, too, so good on her for setting a good example.

I went out just to get my mail today and a lady came up SO close behind me and stopped. I was furious, and wish I had a mask on, but I didn’t think it would be an issue for such a short time outside. Ugh. Now I’m worried.
