Will David & Victoria Beckham buy Brooklyn & Nicola a London apartment?

My most generous reading of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s engagement is that they’re truly in love and they’re young enough and privileged enough to not have any complications. I also think the success of David and Victoria’s marriage has influenced Brooklyn too – he wants what his parents have, a ride-or-die marriage. While we know about Brooklyn’s nepotism career as a “photographer” (lol), what’s up with Nicola? Apparently, she’s the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, the co-founder of Trian Fund Management (which is basically a hedge fund). Nicola is one of Nelson’s eight children, and she’s from his third marriage. I don’t know how much of daddy’s money Nicola will see, long-term, but being born into that kind of wealth and privilege obviously has its advantages. Besides, the Beckhams are rich enough to finance their son’s lifestyle too, obviously:

David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly set to purchase a love-nest as a wedding gift for their son Brooklyn and his wife-to-be Nicola Peltz. According to sources, the former footballer, 45, and the fashion designer, 46, are said to be helping the photographer, 21, and the actress, 25, find a pad in London, after the couple spent the lockdown period in New York. The pair, who have been dating for under a year, announced they were engaged over the weekend and are believed to be planning two separate weddings for next year.

An insider told The Sun: ‘Although they’ll spend a lot of time in America, Brooklyn wants a base in London. Victoria and David have offered to buy the house which will be seen as a wedding gift. It’s incredibly generous but they are like any other proud parents who want to help as much as they can. Brooklyn is eyeing up properties in East London but nothing is off limits.’

[From The Daily Mail]

It could almost be seen as a corporate merger! The Beckhams will provide for Brooklyn and Nicola in the UK, while Nicola’s father can buy them an apartment in New York. Maybe Victoria will even pitch a financing scheme to Nelson Peltz to save her fashion line too.

Oh, and there’s a lot of talk about Nicola’s engagement ring, which can barely be seen in their engagement announcement Instagram. The experts believe that Brooklyn got Nicola an emerald-cut diamond, likely around 5 carats, at a cost of around $250K

Romeo was suppose to be a promising tennis player and Cruz a pop singer I wonder what happened. Their kids must have faced dpuble the pressure from two self made parents.

I thought Brooklyn was some sort of soccer player like his father.

      • ME says:

I thought he was a “photographer” or something?

      • Noki says:

Nope his name got him into a football academy but he simply didnt make the cut and was dropped. And no disrespect to the people who have real and passionate skills for the following, but i think a lot of rich and privelledged kids hop on to doing photography or some kind of fashion or interior design as a respectable but easy enough gig to look like they are doing something.

I just can’t imagine being 21 and 25 and having your parents pay for everything. I don’t mean the house (obvs the housing market is insane and some people could use assistance, me included), but like, they don’t have jobs. Nicola posted a Father’s Day post for her dad saying he taught her what hard work is. What hard work? Neither have a career besides being born into wealthy families.

I am pretty sure they both have an irrevocable trust fund that will guarantee their financial security for the rest of their lives.

Hahaha I have actually seen an Instagram post by this rich Malaysian dude who got his wealth from inheritance. His caption was something about hard work gets you to the top. I was like….dude you inherited your wealth.

      • Krisseth says:

He means the hard work of others gets you to the top. You don’t expect him to do all that?!

    • Haapa says:

      This. What a joke.

  4. Lolo86lf says:

They are both quite young especially him. I hope the age difference will not be a problem later on. A woman of 25 years of age is actually more like 30 in maturity level. A boy of 21 years of age is like 18 years old in maturity. They do make a wonderful good looking couple.

  5. Cocococococo says:

It is very well known in London that David cheats, and has multiple mistresses around the world- namely Miami and L.A.
this engagement is a total joke

  6. Sportlady20 says:

The ring costs the amount I need minus four thousand, to build the duplex I like. Lord

  7. enike says:

I think the ring price is a bit exaggerated by tabloids and I think the happy couple will try to somehow deny or explain the price, as these times are not the best to showcase extravagant rings, even for millionaires, what more for their kids with no real own income (their pr agent will tell them in…1 2 3)

Edit: maybe there will be an article or IG post explain how Brooklyn bought the ring from his advertising money (I think he was in some advertising piece)?
