‘Dilbert’ creator Scott Adams hates that Democrats are forcing him to vote for Trump

Before the coronavirus came for Donald Trump, karma was already working her magic in other ways. There were already huge headlines about Trump’s refusal to disavow white supremacy and his white supremacist death-cultists. That was the bulk of the newscycle in the 48 hours post-debate. I would have thought that all of the true-blue MAGA peeps would have loved that he gave the Proud Boys a shout-out (even if he later pulled a Mariah and denied knowing them). But for one particular Trump supporter, apparently the white supremacist thing was too much. That supporter? Dilbert creator Scott Adams. Adams made a video where he said he felt like Trump “screwed me” with that answer, and “He botched it. It was a layup. It was free money sitting on the f—ing table and he left it there, and he left me on that table, too. He left me just exposed.”

So after that, people were like “are you seriously just now realizing that Donald Trump is a white supremacist who is actively radicalizing neo-Nazis to do his bidding?” And obviously, Scott Adams is not the brightest bulb. So he felt “attacked”! So now, after all that, he’s voting for Donald Trump again.

So the poor diaperbaby got some attention! The ability of white dudes to make everything about themselves is really something. All of Trump’s supporters do this too – they adopt this air of whiny grievance mixed with a feigned naivete, like “I never knew I would be so attacked for merely being such a degenerate racist, I am the wronged party here!” Writ large.

I have nothing but contempt then for this dipsh*t.

  2. LA says:

I never liked that comic to begin with. There. I said it.

  3. Leah says:

Trump supporters always so whiny in their tiny little worlds.

  4. whatWHAT? says:

this guy is a terrible person. he said “Women are treated differently by society for exactly the same reason that children and the mentally handicapped are treated differently.”

so, you know, F*CK THIS GUY. he’s a bigot, a misogynist and a magat and he should be ignored.

  5. sa says:

He wants a cookie for saying he’d do the bare minimum to get us out of the dumpster fire he helped light? Not from me.

    • Cupcake Riot says:

Thank you!! This the best analogy for describing how I feel about the people i know who voted for trump but are now voting for Biden. It’s like they want an effing cookie.

  6. MerlinsMom1018 says:

    Please.
You were gonna vote for him anyway. Sit down.

  7. Tiffany says:

So he is calling people who are 10x as funny on Twitter as any Dilbert comic ‘hate him extra’ and ‘threated him’.

So there is a Mediocre White Man Language out there than only they can read.

  8. Nicole says:

I watched the video. Boo fricken hoo. The reality is they need an outside justification to be the racist jerks that they are. If you’re a bigot, freaking own it. Don’t but that on the Libs. It’s infuriating.

    • Thirtynine says:

I’ve seen this so much recently. Pathetic that they don’t have the guts to say ‘I like Trump, he’s the man for me!’ But try to insinuate that he would love to vote for.Biden.but he just can’t now, for whatever. PATHETIC.

    • shanaynay says:

That’s because deep down most of them are (another way to call a cat/kitten!!!)

  9. Ariel says:

He was never not voting for Trump.
He was Susan Collins-ing, pretending he’s appalled by trump’s various evils, in this case full on klan. But this guy is fine with the klan. He just doesn’t want to be publicly associated with being pro-white supremacy.

But never forget. This guy, whoever he is, is a white supremacist.
There is no middle ground on this issue; there is no ambivalence to nazis.

    • equality says:

Really. It’s not like there aren’t third party candidates or not voting at all as options.

    • Desert Lizard says:

All you say is true. I find it interesting that he felt he needed to say anything at all. I don’t think people were really clamoring to know who he was voting for, most could probably have guessed. He needed to be sure the world knew though. They know they are wrong for what they believe and for their vote so they need to feel “forced.” They are bigots full of hatred. They need to just own it.

  10. S808 says:

So he was mad trump pretty much admitted to being a white supremacist (they’re supposed to keep that part quiet y’know) and making him look like a white supremacist for supporting trump (which he is but again, shhhh!) but after not being praised for dropping trump he is back to voting for trump?

    • NiqGee says:

Pretty much. At this point, the venn diagram of Trump supporter and white supremacist is a circle.

  11. Cafecito says:

What? How? I just cannot. Trump voter logic.

  12. Girl_ninja says:

What an attention seeking loser. Sad way to live.

  13. smee says:

Wow. He still thinks anyone knows/cares who he or Dilbert is?

  14. Lady Keller says:

Please everyone, we must protect the white middle aged rich men. Stop hurting their feelings.

    • Otaku fairy says:

Yep. Just another middle-aged white person preaching accountability and resilience for everyone EXCEPT for himself and the oppressor he helped along. Nothing new.

    • FYI says:

When Trump didn’t condemn racism in the debate, Adams said he felt “abused” and “offended” and that he “takes it personally.” Uh, how do you think Black people feel, asshole? You’re a rich white guy, and YOU felt abused!?!? WTeverlovin’F?!?!

  15. MsIam says:

So I guess that white supremacist thing ain’t all bad huh, Scott? Smh, cause I did used to like Dilbert.

  16. phaedra says:

Baby boo-hoomers. I tire of their whining.

  17. Veronica S. says:

Scott Adams continues to remind us that abortion not only needs to be legal but frankly strongly recommended to some women.

  18. detritus says:

So his feeling are more important than fighting white supremacy and the mass murder of Americans?

Thanks for telling us who you are.

  19. judith A reeder says:

I seriously doubt that is true. no one can force you to vote for someone you dont want to vote for!!!

  20. Ol' Miss says:

You have to be a special kind of stupid to just now realize the truth. Float your boat buddy…vote for him…you are on the wrong side of humanity.

  21. grabbyhands says:

Awww, Orange Daddy will be so proud!

“You said something I don’t like and that hurt my fee fees, so I’m gonna do something BAD! You’ll see!”

Straight out of the fucking 45 playbook. What a jackass.

  22. Jezebel's Lacefront says:

Own your bigotry and misogyny. He’s a coward. I never thought Dilbert was funny.

    • Otaku fairy says:

      Oops.

    • Otaku fairy says:

Exactly. If others- especially some of those harmed by your behavior- complaining about the harm ‘makes you’ decide to be twice as misogynistic and racist the second time around, that reveals a cold, sadistic streak in you. It’s childish too- sort of like some teenager back in 2012 going on about how being told not to use ‘f*g’ or ‘gay’ as a slur just makes him want to use it more.

  23. emu says:

i am bummed because i do like dilbert. but he has probably been radicalized by watching too many ‘sensible’ jordan peterson videos. whatever. he’s probably in a blue state anyways.

  24. HK9 says:

    Idiot.

  25. Chanteloup says:

Thank ya’ll for seeing through his b/s and calling him out for the pathetic misogynistic bigot he is. I want to upvote so many comments. You said it better than I could!

  26. Chanteloup says:

@ScottAdamsSays: “I feel like he screwed me personally – ”

You and the rest of America, buddy. Grow the F up

  27. MM2 says:

Narcissist only cares when it’s personal to him, begs for praise, then plays the victim. Shocked.

  28. Sarah says:

I know that 45 thinks this is how ‘elections’ should work (hey Vlad) but this guy doesn’t seem to realise that the US isn’t there yet.

Get out and vote people, while you still can.

  29. CoKatie says:

He felt attacked?! Boo freaking good. When are people going to understand and truly grasp that the great privilege of being able to vote is not about YOU as an individual, but rather about US as a country?!? Do the right thing for your country, you idiot. This really is not about you. Put the collective good over the individual desire. Yeesh.

    Civics 101, anyone?!

  30. Bryn says:

What the hell is wrong with this guy..does he see whats going on in the world or is he so far up his own ass that everything is just dark

  31. holly hobby says:

When I first started at my job, I had an idiot manager who thought Dilbert was great and asked that we purchase rights to republish a few of his strips. We paid money for what I considered mediocre, crudely drawn comics. It wasn’t even funny.

Scott Adams famously disdains the office and people who work in them. He can go kiss my ass.

  32. bettyrose says:

I was about to get all PO’d about this because I thought the movie Office Space, in all its brilliance, was based on the Dilbert cartoons. But . . no? Okay, carry on then. Who cares about this guy?

  33. Merricat says:

Like anyone cares what this guy thinks. His strip is simplistic and bitter, just like him.

  34. Canadian says:

This is exactly the problem. If you can’t have a mature conversation with people who disagree with you how is your country ever going to evolve? People voted Trump in for a reason. If you listened to their reasons maybe you could help bridge the divide. It seems like all I see on both sides and especially this site is nothing but angry ranting and a refusal to understand other people’s perspectives. This accomplishes nothing and it’s the reason your country is a mess.

    • Merricat says:

Yeah, there’s no debate to be had regarding white supremacy, not for me. Tolerance for others’ point of view stops when they want to oppress entire swaths of the population. Nope.

      • guilty pleasures says:

@ Merricat, all the YUPS to this comment!! I am Canadian, so allow me to be the balance opinion that states even though we are known as ‘nice’ up here, I FREAKING HATE the menace in the White House. I have been enraged since his idiotic elevator descent (into our Hell) in 2016.
How can you have ‘mature conversation’ with with anyone who sees anything redeeming in this monster?

  35. Rad says:

    Dilbert is dead to me.

  36. guilty pleasures says:

Well, my recycle bin will have a few extra books in it this week. Buh bye dude.

  37. JJ McClay says:

Awwww man! I read one of his books a few years back, not knowing his beliefs, and actually enjoyed it. Dammit! Why do racists have to ruin everything!!!

  38. Lissdogmom02 says:

This is classic gaslighting behavior, I hate that you made me do (insert foolishness here)
I’m so over the fragile male ego, honestly.
Also he is an idiot if he just figured out the Cheeto is racist. This is not new information. 👀

  39. Michael says:

So his feefees got hurt because he was called on being late to realize the orange dipwad is a racist? Fragile – little – flower.

  40. JillyBeann says:

    Frigging engineers

  41. Lory says:

He was always going to vote for Trump. He just tried to score some points and when it failed he got butthurt about it.

  42. anon says:

    LOLOLOLOL.

Honest question: When was the last time anyone here ever read/looked at a Dilbert strip in the last 15 years? Given the downfall of print journalism and everything moving online, I’d say prolly no one?

Who knew the outdated Dilbert that no one gives a shit about is a sexless, goofy, incel, self-victimizing white supremacist? Nonetheless, Scott BlandVanilla has officially outed himself as a dumbass racist and Trump supporter.

    Well done, loser.

  43. khaveman says:

No more Dilbert for me. Yuck.

  44. JRenee says:

Triggered into voting who he wanted to vote for anyway, um sure.
It’s hard to fathom how people are in sync with hate..

  45. vesper says:

I hope his whole business collaspes…I wouldn’t give this guy a dime of my money. He’s horrible. DOWN WITH DILBERT! I hope all local papers pull his stupid cartoon and he fades into racist obscurity.
