Khloe Kardashian claims ‘I don’t have any help’ during the pandemic/lockdown

Khloe Kardashian is the new brand ambassador for Dose & Co, a collagen supplement from New Zealand. I’m not sure if Khloe is the best spokesperson for anything, really, but sure. To promote her new deal, Khloe chatted with Refinery29 about fitness, her daughter True and having no nannies during the pandemic. Do you believe that? I… don’t? I don’t think Khloe has tons of help, but I bet she’s had a few people helping her – perhaps not “nannies” – during the pandemic. You can read the full Refinery29 piece here. Some highlights:

The end of KUWTK. “I am sad about it,” she says, but acknowledges that it “was time”: “It’s like a break up. You can break up with a boyfriend, but you’re still sad about it.”

On her sponsorship with Dose & Co, an eco-conscious collagen brand based in New Zealand. Kardashian is no stranger to collagen — she started adding it into her routine during her pregnancy with her daughter, True. “When you’re pregnant, you want to give you and your child the best, and you become sort of obsessed with creating a future for your child and what the best ways are to do that.”. So she started adding collagen powder into her diet. “For me, first and foremost, it was, how can I fix myself from the inside out [in a way] that’s easy and attainable, especially with being a new mom? It’s something as simplistic as adding collagen powder to a smoothie or coffee in the morning.”

On fitness in the pandemic: “I definitely think because of my fitness journey and already having such a regimented schedule when it comes to working out, it kind of kept me sane during these crazy times. I had to learn to adapt by doing mommy-daughter workouts. [True] is obviously not working out, but it’s things like me putting her in a wagon and sprinting up a hill. I belted a wagon to my waist because I don’t have any help. We’re all just trying to figure it out.”

Trying to keep her routine: “I want to show my daughter, by example, that there are healthy ways to be active every day. You don’t have to be so rigid in the gym. I like to work out early, it just sets the tone for the rest of my day, it makes me want to eat better and be active and healthy. By her seeing me like this, I hope she’s active and takes care of herself.”

She prays often: “For me, I’m someone that prays often. But during all of this, I have learned to be more strict with waking up and saying a prayer every morning. We all have something to be grateful for, no matter how horrible this year has been for everyone in different ways.”

[From Refinery29]

“I belted a wagon to my waist because I don’t have any help. We’re all just trying to figure it out.” Surely the people filming her during those workouts could possibly be “helping” her though. Anyway… while I find Khloe problematic and plastic, I don’t really think it’s a bad thing that she’s gotten so deep into fitness, or that she’s trying to maintain routines for her young child. I don’t mind that she’s talking about prayer either? Whatever. Are all you guys taking collagen supplements? Hm.

I can’t believe people buy this shiz.

There is zero chance that any of them are taking care of their children by themselves, if at all.

She should be praying for the kind of self awareness that will allow her and the rest of the family to stop pretending that the lives they have are anywhere near what regular people are dealing with.

“ It’s something as simplistic as adding collagen powder to a smoothie or coffee in the morning.”
    Definition of Simplistic = ‘facile’
Sorry. Just made me lol ☺️

are collagen supplements a thing? with this trend to do so much to one’s appearance I’m pretty lost because I don’t want to look plastic but I definitely look like I haven’t even showered if I don’t do at least something with the creams and contouring – just because of the contrast with all the other ladies who do so much and look so polished and different (and yes, a lot of the time plastic and over the top but actual real-life natural just looks unkept in comparison)

    • Manda says:

From my very cursory research not too long ago, it is a thing and some skin people believe it works and others do not. I think I read there is no medical proof of a difference

    • BK says:

It’s a thing. I started taking it for hair thinning, which it doesn’t seem to be helping 🙁 But my nails grow like weeds and my skin looks better. I just throw a scoop in a smoothie every morning, you don’t even taste it

  4. shanaynay says:

Wow! You’re doing what millions upon millions of mothers do every day! But, guess what. They don’t have to brag about it to the whole world. What is she waiting for some praise? Regardless, I think she’s FOS! Ain’t nobody buying what you’re trying to sell Khloe!!!! Next….

  5. Zazu says:

When I read the interview I understood her to mean she didn’t have help with True, not that she had absolutely no help with housekeeping or whatever. Clearly a mcmansion and grounds is not cleaned and maintained by one woman with talon nails. But maybe the live in nanny or whoever did quit due to covid-19? It’s possible she has less help than she’s used to, but not no help…

“Clearly a mcmansion and grounds is not cleaned and maintained by one woman with talon nails.” — that was a good on Zazu

  6. Manda says:

Do people attach wagons to themselves in this way? Surely one of those running strollers would work as well? Which she can surely afford! This wagon thing doesn’t seem safe to me

  7. Lemons says:

I’m sure whoever is taking her pictures and “selfies” is already doing a lot to help.

  8. dlc says:

Remember when everyone thought she was the most normal Kardashian?

  9. SShehheh says:

Yeah she got help everywhere aside from true. Ordering food in… maid… etc.

  10. Noki says:

Just last week,it was Trues Nannys birthday and she bought her some decorations and cake and had a little party. I cant stand liars, but what is worse is people who lie so easily with things that can be proven untrue in seconds. Its a sickness.

  11. FHMom says:

Ugh. She has turned into my least favorite Kardashian and she used to be sort of tolerable.

  12. Jess says:

Eh, I’ll always have a soft spot for Khloe, she was called fat and “the ugly one” for years, told she wasn’t a real Kardashian, and was publicly cheated on by multiple men. It’s no wonder she changed herself entirely, I have no doubt she hated herself inside and out after dealing with all that bullshit. She does seem to be making better choices in terms of fitness and food, and I like what she said about showing her daughter healthy habits, that’s extremely important in my opinion. Yes she’s been under the knife but I’m not gonna judge her for that.

  13. Faye says:

She looks like Katherine McPhee in that over shoulder. She really hated how she looks.

I hope she doesn’t pass her issues to her daughter.

    • Size Does Matter says:

I always kind of wonder about the mental health of kids of celebrities who have a ton of work done. The kid would look like the celebrity’s before pictures, not like the after. Will they think they look wrong?

  14. Mamasan says:

    I didn’t recognize her.

  15. The other one says:

I add collagen to my coffee every morning. I can’t say I’ve seen a difference in my skin but definitely hair and nails. Oh -and my knees stopped hurting in runs!

    • Swack says:

Interesting about your knees not hurting. I may try it for that reason alone.

    • Isabellaluna says:

OK, I am now inspired. I’ve been working on my fitness and weight loss journey for the last year (November 8 is the anniversary!), and now I’ve found that my right knee is becoming intolerant of more high-impact and/or weight-bearing exercises. It bums me out. TIme to research collagen!

  16. Markle says:

Right. Those women in that family have nannies. Also, Klhoe never baked the pies that she posted a few years back, but took credit for it anyway, until the bakery called her out on it!😂😂

  17. Ariel says:

But our product- be like khloe!
Hate yourself so much you get constant plastic surgery and have terrible relationships with men who have no respect for you and taken them back time and time again no matter the sdts they’ve already given you- that’s the life you want. Note: being rich, sold separately.

  18. nicegirl says:

Not taking a collagen supplement but I’m absolutely thrilled with Mydentity collagen powder additive to hair color and also there’s a liquid collagen reconstructing treatment I’m loving!

  19. ME says:

I don’t know. The Kardashians lie so much. I mean Khloe won’t even admit to all the work she’s had done. LOL remember when she posted a pick of a pie and claimed it was “homemade” to only have people call her out that it was actually from a bakery ! Are we supposed to believe this woman, with THOSE nails actually bathes and feeds her daughter? You think she cooks and cleans? Yeah ok. It’s the same as Kim complaining about taking care of her four kids when we know each kid has two damn nannies !

  20. NotSoSocialButterfly says:

    Sure, Pinocchio butt.
If you “tied a wagon to” your waist and sprinted up a hill, your child would surely have been ejected backward from said wagon. Physics, and all.

  21. BeeCee says:

I’m attempting to give her the benefit of the doubt, and what i think she actually meant by “not having any help” was that she didn’t have any training help with her exercises, and that she was working out by herself rather than with a trainer like she usually does.

Plus I do think that they’re nannies did stay away for a short period of time while LA was in full lockdown mode. So I’m assuming that’s also what she meant by having mommy-daughter workouts

  22. Aimee says:

God these people are sculpted to within an inch of their life! I’ve said it before, I can’t wait to see this all fall out in a few short years.

  23. Marie says:

This collagen thing is very scandalous because Poosh has a partnership with Vital Proteins for collagen powder!! lol
