Donald Trump’s ’60 Minutes’ interview was a portrait of a whiny, lying douchebag

Britain's Prince Harry visits the Silverstone circuit in Towcester

All of last week, Donald Trump whined incessantly about his 60 Minutes interview with Lesley Stahl. He was bigly petulant about it. He had walked out of the interview, which was conducted one week ago, and he spent days threatening to release the video ahead of the air date. Which he ended up doing – he released it on Facebook, where conspiracists and psychos live and thrive. Trump actually thought the video made him look good, or at least sympathetic. Instead it made him look like a f–king douchebag who lies constantly and drowns in self-pity. Well, in case you’re interested, 60 Minutes aired their interview with Trump and my God, it’s just awful. They released the full transcript too, which is hilarious. These were the worst clips, where he threw a tantrum about Joe Biden’s “scandals,” which do not exist.

Joe Biden and Barack Obama did not spy on Trump’s campaign. What the Obama administration did was correctly freak out about how many compromised and treasonous a–holes were working on the Trump campaign, including Mike Flynn and Paul Manafort, both of whom ended up being charged with crimes because they were so compromised and because they were working for foreign governments.

As for Trump whining about how mistreated he is and how people ask him tough questions… my god. He’s just the absolute f–king worst. He’s a f–king baby. I can’t believe all of these white dudes think Trump is their best example of American masculinity. A few more dumb clips if you want them. Again, these questions are not hard. HE IS JUST AWFUL.

Here he is, again, explicitly saying that he hopes the ACA/Obamacare is “ended.” Again, the GOP does not have a healthcare plan. Again, we are still in a pandemic.

Here are a few photos of Trump passing out Halloween candy last night:

Leslie is amazing in maintaining her professionalism and calm throughout the interview.

    • LahdidahBaby says:

Isn’t she?! She’s as cool as those gorgeous aquamarine earrings she has on! He, on the other hand, is an embarrassment to himself, although he isn’t capable of realizing that.

      • LightPurple says:

        I need those earrings.

      • booboocita says:

I watched with my mom, who kept muttering, “Where can I get those earrings?” After 60 Minutes was over, she said to me, “Well, now you know what I want for Christmas.” Dream on, Mom — I don’t make Leslie Stahl’s money. And she earned every penny last night. I can’t believe she didn’t just reach over and smack him one.

      • Bettyrose says:

OMG Those earrings! That’s all I came here to talk about. Stunning and so flattering on her. Stahl looks great and her professionalism is an inspiration. Nothing else even noteworthy here.

      • LightPurple says:

@Roberta, yes, that dress was perfection. I could wear that to so many work related things.

And I’m going to point out that Lesley Stahl looks phenomenal for a 78 year old woman.

    • SpankyB says:

While I agree she remained professional and calm, I thought she could have been tougher. She kept saying “Nooo” and it was almost a whine. Very passive. Once she did that Trump took over and wouldn’t shut up, she lost the interview at that point.

      • equality says:

She might have wanted him to start on a rant so he would show his true self. It’s not like he hasn’t walked away from female journalists before. That may be the whole reason she was the one doing the interview.

  2. C-Shell says:

His physical wreckage was on full display. Dr. Jack Brown observed on Twitter that Trump was adjusting his “oral prosthetic device” that protects his hard palate that’s deteriorating due to cocaine abuse (god bless Dr. Brown for watching every minute detail of Trump’s behavior every time he makes an appearance). Trump really struggles to speak. The gyrations of his tiny, white-lipped mouth are nauseating to watch.

AND THEY CHANGED HIS CHAIR RIGHT AFTER HE WADDLED OUT OF THE INTERVIEW 👀

    • Diana says:

I saw that with the chair! 🤣 lmao

    • ChillyWilly says:

When they switched out that chair, I knew he really did crap his diaper! And Leslie had a “Ew, what stanks in here???” look on her face! 😂😂😂

    • Audrey says:

I don’t think it’s cocaine. Trump is really against alcohol and illicit drugs. I think it’s Adderall and he justifies using it because it is prescribed, and not a street drug.

      • Lady D says:

There are rumours of Trump’s coke habit going back 45 years. That’s a lot of staying power for something that isn’t true. I doubt he would call it a habit, though. He’s way too tough a guy to ever get hooked on anything./s

      • Lemons says:

I think Trump’s social bracket wouldn’t see cocaine as bad like weed. Cocaine is for the rich and powerful.

    • tmbg says:

In what video do they do that with the chair? I watched all of the clips but didn’t see anything!

      • booboocita says:

You had to watch the full interview to see the chair switch. That wasn’t in the clips. He waddles out, and someone — an assistant producer, I’m assuming — comes into camera range, picks up the chair, and walks off. Then someone else comes in with another chair so Mike Pence could sit with Leslie. Ew. Just — ew.

      • Allie says:

60 Minutes only released clips on YT and Trumps leak on FB stops at him walking out. Is the full thing available somewhere else?

    • Sara says:

So he used the excuse of Stahl asking him tough questions for abruptly walking out, but the truth is he pooped his pants?

    • Jaded says:

I noticed the chair being changed too and said to Mr. Jaded…”See? I think the rumours are true that he had a Depends blow-out and used it as an excuse to walk out.”

Of all the things I hated about him during the interview, the worst was the whining. He sounded like a petulant toddler who can’t have more candy or doesn’t want to go to bed. That and the accordion hands drives me NUTS.

      • Chris says:

I’ve heard the poop rumor too and I’m really curious where it came from? I can’t find any sources on it or anywhere it exists besides the comment section of articles. Wherever it came from it’s really funny. I’d have sympathy for him if he wasn’t such a monster. Was he trying to get out in front of the rumor by claiming he was being treated unfairly so he stormed out?

I need to know more about SHITGATE!

      • Emily says:

        LOL!!

      • Jaded says:

@Chris: Noel Casler is a former talent handler and stand-up comic and worked with Trump on The Apprentice. He’s divulged a ton of stuff on “The Donald” on his Twitter that Trump is a “speed freak” who snorts Adderall constantly and has to use adult diapers.

  3. Sierra says:

Every woman felt the rage Leslie felt when Trump said “that’s not the way to talk”.

  4. Sayrah says:

    Giant douche

  5. Diana says:

Did anyone else catch the weary tone of voice Lesley had? It was like talking to a spoiled child. He’s is the absolute worst!

  6. ChillyWilly says:

Trump looks scared shitless ( pun intended) lately. He has a wild, cornered animal look in his eyes. He knows he’s losing. God, I want election day to get here faster and at the same time I don’t want it to get here. I’m just terrified he’s going to win again and I’m too poor to escape to another country!

    • paranormalgirl says:

I’ll stow you away in my luggage!

    • MissFabulous says:

I agree, Chilly. He’s exactly like a cornered wild animal. He’s desperate to be reelected because he knows that the minute he’s out of office, Cy Vance will meet him at the White House gates with a stack of arrest warrants. I predict that sometime close to the inauguration, he’ll resign, get a blanket pardon from Pence, and flee the country in the middle of the night. Anybody care to wager on where he goes? It would have to be somewhere (1) with no extradition treaty with the US, (2) where he owns property, and (3) not Russia, because he’s no longer of use to Vlad and folks like that tend to get pushed out of skyscrapter windows. My money is on UAE or Saudi Arabia.

    • E.D. says:

Yeah he was lashing out at her and on the defence from the get-go.

It really is so obvious he just hates women who don’t look a certain way, are mature-aged and therefore not ‘sexually appealing’ to him, or any woman that is simply intelligent.

He is the personification of petulance in this interview.

  7. LightPurple says:

The contrasts between his interview and the one they did with Biden were astounding, even when one knew there would be a marked difference. Stahl didn’t get to ask most of her questions because he wasted so much time with irrelevant tangents on the easy ones she did ask. Biden, meanwhile, got the tough questions. Trump did himself no favors in that interview; he only highlighted how deep the contrast is and how little tolerance he has for women.

  8. CommentingBunny says:

    What a sucky baby.

  9. Michael says:

I am sure Leslie Stahl knew exactly what she was in for. Trump is hardly a mystery when it comes to women challenging him

  10. MaryContrary says:

I’ve really avoided listening to him “live” for the last 4 years. So having to sit through him spewing his usual nonsense “no one has seen anything like it”, “it’s going to be great”, was really painful. I thought she was so professional, respectful and honestly kind of cajoling/joking around to try and keep him calm and answer the questions. What shows his total disconnect with reality is that the WH released the interview last week so we could see how “unfair” she was-lololololol.

  11. Leah says:

If he thought he was going to get the suburban women vote back with that stunt I say he failed because of the way he treated Lesley. I think as women we’ve dealt with men like him for most of our lives, been on guard against men like him for most of our lives and honestly enough is enough.

His Twitter followers were whining that Lesley was being “hard on him”. Had to laugh because he is the one who acted like a child and stormed out of the interview.

  12. Winterforever says:

    What a petulant man-child

  13. jen says:

He is going to win again. We are doomed. I used to think we were better than this, but we’re not.
People are willing to sell their souls and sacrifice lives of other people=murder, for this evil if it benefits them-bottom line. The day he was elected was a crime against humanity and the day he is reelected is THE END of humanity. And it hurts like hell.

    • AMA1977 says:

I refuse to believe this. I have hope. I’m in Texas, and Joe is dead even with that dumpster fire in this state that went all-in on the dumpster fire by double digits in 2016. The soulless ghouls who value their taxes over the lives and livelihoods of others are going to lose.

      • sassafras says:

I’m in Texas and I’ve been volunteering at a suburban poll location. I’m feeling optimistic. We just need EVERY ONE TO VOTE. No complacency. No “they’re both bad.” Or “I wish we had Elizabeth / Bernie/ Beto.”

        NO.

        VOTE BLUE. PERIOD.

        NO MAS.

    • Poisonella says:

I think the election will either be close and Trump will win again, or we will be blown away by the margin Biden wins by. Sister-Poisonella and I were talking about this mess. If Trump wins again it – won’t impact our lives- too old for abortions (thankfully though was avalable when I needed one), jobs are not going anywhere, have insurance. But, to vote for a monster like Trump is to not have empathy for your fellow citizens. What about the 500 kids on the border who have lost their parents? The people getting shot by cops because they’re black? SMDH.

    • Tiffany :) says:

How can you look at the 2018 election and think we are doomed?

There are massive blocks of voters that turned away from him early in his presidency, and they will never go back. Suburban women are fleeing him in droves. He’s even losing the 65+ crowd, which is usually solidly GOP.

The GOP definitely is trying to suppress the vote, but I think early voting is preventing a lot of their tactics from working. Pre-pandemic, people might not have had 6 hours to stand around to vote. Now they have the time, they know they will try to be discouraged, and they are showing up and waiting anyway.

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

  14. AmyB says:

I really am a bit confused here. I saw *some of the FB release of this interview that I guess?? Trump was thinking would vindicate him? And I watched the aired 60 minute one. Didn’t see much difference other than some polished editing – he was a whiny defensive lying man-baby in both versions. I really don’t get it. He is constantly on the defensive, still talking about Hillary’s emails and how Obama spied on his campaign. I mean JFC – talk about projection. This man is literally the most corrupt President to ever sit in the Oval Office. He won’t take responsibility for anything – including the mishandling of the pandemic. If you have not seen the Alex Gibney documentary “Totally Under Control” now on Hulu – watch it, but be prepared to be more horrified! If we get four more years of this shit show, I have no idea what mental state I will be in!

    UGH!!

  15. olliesmom says:

I can’t understand how someone saw that mess on 60 Minutes and said “yeah, I’m for that”.

  16. Liz version 700 says:

Watching him Lecture Leslie Stahl about her tone and how to do her job. Every woman in America and beyond can relate to that crap. It did not win you many women’s votes Donnie. Also, the tantrum baby look is not reassuring when you imagine that dude representing the US. No wonder we keep getting ridiculous treaties. The president needs a binky.

  17. Josie Bean says:

Can’t bring myself to watch the whole interview but saw some clips. It doesn’t matter how bad things get in the USA, Donald Trump will twist things and claim that everything is great THANKS TO HIM. It is depressing.

There is a record number of people who have already voted (60 million so far reported today). I can only hope that most of these individuals are voting for Joe because they simply cannot take it anymore.

Only good thing about a Trump re-election is that it would be the end of the Republican Party (this is the opinion of a Republican ex-Governor of NJ from an article in the Financial Times). Interesting thought.

  18. terrah says:

Trump may or may not be incontinent. but isn’t it likely that changing the chair is a covid thing? Also, I really don’t like sitting in a chair still warm from some other persons bum. Presumably Pence might feel similarly disinclined.

Whatever. I am sincerely praying for a landslide for Biden and a peaceful transition in January.

    Good luck America.

    • Cava24 says:

I assumed it was a Covid thing too but they should have shifted Pence’s interview to another room if they were concerned about Covid (clearly Trump and Pence are not concerned about Covid and could have asked for a room change if they wanted one).
