Ugh, it’s so hard to choose from the smorgasbord of awful people that are GOP senators right now, but Kelly L is definitely up there. Also, she was right in the thick of it at the Amy Covid Barrett event (autocorrect and I’m keeping it), never posted about a negative test (or any test), and suddenly lots of her staffers are sick. So she’s probably awful for many reasons.
She was also involved with insider training back in the early days of the pandemic but Barr hasn’t bothered to prosecute her.

Had meeting about how bad Covid would be & immediately sold stock in vacation entities & bought up zoom stocks but sure that was completely a fluke or good luck & she had nothing to do w/her trades (sure Jan) Trump wanted Kemp to tap Doug “Trump minion” Collins for this senate seat. Kemp defied Trump & chose this chick. Why you ask? She paid off his debt.
During the Abrams/Kemp debate he made comments to Abrams about her debt, which she admitted she had & was dealing with it, while cleverly concealing/lying about his. Then he taps this chick & poof all his debt (& several suits about nonpayment of bills) magically disappeared

I just finished reading Brave New World and didn’t realize they were making it into a series.
At several points in the book, I could not get over how racist the author was. A product of his time, perhaps, but it really made some parts of the book unbearable to me.
I am very interested to see how this was adapted. Hopefully I can enjoy it more than the book.
@Lemons Oh wow, I’ve never read the book. Sigh…so much racism…it’s hard, as a Black person, to engage with almost any kind of mainstream media or “classics”/”canon”. Can never enjoy a story, always coming up against racist b.s. Anyway, that said, I’ve watched the series and it’s actually pretty good. I can definitely see how the underlying story would be racist; the translation into tv doesn’t really follow that kind of vibe. It’s worth a look.

How any self respecting woman could have voted for Trump after hearing what he said is beyond comprehension.
