Irina Shayk’s street style involves $3K Burberry raincoat & $2K Chanel boots

Irina Shayk returns to her apartment with daughter Lea after some food shopping

Once I sat down and read some of Irina Shayk’s interviews, I began to really like her. She has a sort of morose, stereotypical-Russian kind of personality. Just, matter-of-fact and pessimistic, but also darkly funny. Ever since her split with Bradley Cooper, she’s been living full-time in New York, and Bradley Cooper usually splits his time between New York and LA, so they’ve been sharing custody of their daughter Lea throughout the pandemic.

Irina hasn’t been making much gossip-news this year, but she’s been getting pap’d regularly around New York, and she’s really treating the New York sidewalks as her personal runway. This week, she really wanted people to see her outfit and I have no idea why, because the whole look is so weird! Yes, she’s probably getting paid to model those $2100 Chanel rain boots and the $3000 Burberry raincoat. But the rest of the outfit is so weird! A matchy crop-top button down blouse and too-short skirt, with black pantyhose and sunglasses. In the rain. She’s so random!

Irina was just made the new face of Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Gold fragrance, and for that, she agreed to some bizarre People Magazine spon-con “Holiday Gift Guide” where she’s just recommending the perfume she now represents, plus a hairbrush, some skincare stuff and Chrissy Teigen’s cookbook. Oh, she does recommend giving to charity though, so at least that’s nice.

Love the coat. HATE the boots.

    Whew, this is ugly.

The coat is amazing. The whole look is …not great.

  5. Running from Stress says:

It peeves to see stainable expensive clothing on a supposed caregiver. This may not end well.

Uh, those boots look like the ones my Dad wears when he goes out to feed cattle. Different color though. I wonder if I can put a sticker on them that says ‘Chanel’ and wipe of the manure and sell them for $1K? That’s cheap!

  7. josephine says:

Yeah, fashion to discuss! I hate the whole look, though, so not much to discuss here. I think the coat looks too fussy, and except for the lining, it also looks cheap. Even the boots look like a knock-off you buy from someone’s trunk.

I mostly hate the sunglasses, though. I have a particular hatred for those uselessly small sunglasses.

On the flip side, she’s a vey pretty woman with great looking skin!!

  8. Moptop says:

Those ugly sunglasses cancel out any attractiveness her outfit might have had.

  9. Casey says:

So much time for ugly, expensive clothes, so little time for a mask.

    • Sojaschnitzel says:

Exactly. I don’t understand how people still don’t understand the importance of it, in NYC no less.

  10. OGDMT says:

Does anyone else find it kind of gross that she’s pushing the stroller with one hand so we can see her outfit..? I mean she was probably paid to wear it’, but still. It seems wrong to me.

  11. Pulplove says:

The look as a whole doesn’t go well together. The crop-top blouse, short skirt and sunglasses look like summer wear, whereas the rain boots and coat are so autumn. I don’t like the shape of the sunglasses either, not the best fit for her face.

  12. original_kellybean says:

She paid so much for her coat and boots that she couldn’t afford a pair of pants. Poor thing.

Also, I hate when anyone (it’s usually men) don’t want BEHIND the stroller and choose to walk beside it. We know that’s your kid.

Edited to add: I didn’t realize she was wearing a skirt.

  13. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

    That outfit is hilarious.

  14. Blairski says:

That is a very strange outfit. The strangest part is that there are any number of other articles of clothing that could have looked great under that coat, but that’s what she wore? As for the boots… $2100 for plastic rain boots??? I wouldn’t pay $3000 for a coat either, but at least it’s a nice coat.

  15. Katebush says:

Weird outfit and really hate those small 90s style glasses

  16. Thirtynine says:

When I first saw it, I thought she was wearing the coat with 3/4 black leggings and ballet flats. Then I realised the boots were the colour of her legs with little black hooves. Weird.

  17. SpankyB says:

When I first glanced at the photo I thought there was something wrong with her ankle. Those boots match her skin tone and it took a minute to realize they were rain boots. Cute boots, though.

  18. L4frimaire says:

She looks ridiculous, veering on mutton dressed as lamb.

  19. Mia says:

Her outfit is missing a mask.

    • Louise mush says:

Maskless is a bad look for anyone right now, but I’m particularly mystified by celebrities. Do they just want the world to know how desperate they are to be recognized? I don’t get it.

  20. Stayfunny says:

I don’t think chanel pays her to model those boots.
I don’t know if they give her the boots for free? But she is not exactly chanel muse, you know..

  21. Budgetcamera says:

She’s been following the Katie Holmes school of wacky-outfits-get-extra-clicks philosophy. This isn’t her first recent wacky outfit in recent months. She’s totally paid to do these things, I’m assuming! I like how she’s not stick thin.
