Donald Trump ‘doesn’t understand what ‘stop the count’ means’

Anti-Trump protesters gather in Jupiter

Scorpio Season has really come for Donald Trump and I love every second of it? I mean, America looks like a third-world banana republic for sure, but I think it’s kind of funny to see Trump’s web of lies and unhinged conspiracies come crashing down around him. One of the most ridiculous things to happen this week is Trump’s absolute insistence that every vote for Biden-Harris was fraudulent and “didn’t count,” while simultaneously arguing that vote-counting should be stopped in certain states but continued in others. Well, NY Mag’s Olivia Nuzzi explained why Trump’s messaging is all over the place:

“Trump said he assumed people knew that by “stop the count” he didn’t mean he wanted to stop the count.” I can’t. I can’t stop laughing.

This is pretty good too… CNN’s Jim Acosta asking “Are you a sore loser?” to Trump as he waddles away, following his batsh-t crazy press conference last night:

Speaking of, Trump has been blatantly using the White House for his re-election campaign (partisan political purposes) for months now, including these unhinged Election Week speeches. Now the Office of the Special Counsel says they’re investigating Trump for all of the violations of the Hatch Act.

And here’s maybe one of the biggest feelgood stories of the week – if and when Trump loses and he continues to tweet unhinged bullsh-t, Twitter will ban his obese turtle ass.

I want proof that we are being reimbursed for his campaign expenditures. his whole campaign is one huge Hatch Act violation and its gross. Remember that episode of West Wing, Hartsfield’s Landing (the one that is on HBO Max now) where Donna has to take her cell phone and go outside to make phone calls, across the street, because she cant make campaign calls from the White House? yeah the Trump campaign never saw that episode.

the twitter thing is way too good to be true, so I’m not even getting my hopes up there, lol.

  2. Sarah says:

I was wondering what the score was with the Hatch Act. I won’t claim to understand anything beyond the absolute basics but I figured Republicans were in some way blocking investigation/enforcement.

Oh how I hope consequences will finally start to follow actions for all these evil, selfish, fools.

  3. Wiglet Watcher says:

    PA just flipped!!!

  4. Lexilla says:

The networks stopping his speech, Twitter stepping up, all of these things are momentum-building. Maybe even spineless congressional Republicans would finally act with some decency if the wind told them to.

  5. Eleonora says:

He is so dumb, and his followers are even dumber

  6. Seraphina says:

CNN was interviewing a republican election attorney and the attorney stated that there is no one who can tell him to stop his stupidity in the WH (which opens up another topic all together). The attorney also stated, that if there was evidence of fraud it would have been provided the day of and since there still is no evidence it will be very difficult to prove.
On a happy note, the security around Biden was just beefed up – and so was his airspace. 🙂

  7. Mina_Esq says:

Shutting down his Twitter account in January would be the perfect final nail in the steaming pile of his presidency…

  8. Golly Gee says:

“Trump’s special treatment from Twitter would end if Biden wins.”
How brave and noble Jack Dorsey is. /s

As for the Hatch Act violation or any other of the multiple crimes that Trump has committed, I doubt anything will come of it. I don’t know that much about American politics, but has any President ever had to pay for crimes they have committed? Honest question. (And I don’t consider having to leave office as punishment. )

    • MsIam says:

Well Nixon was pardoned preemptively so…..I’m guessing Trump will have the same thing and I believe the Hatch act involves federal offenses so the pardon would cover those.

      • souperkay says:

Trump would have to resign first, then have Pence pardon him, I don’t see a self given pardon holding up in court. Trump would also be assuming a great deal of risk that Pence would follow through because there is nothing more delicious to a snake like Pence than saving his own skin.

      • GuestWho says:

Thankfully, there are plenty of state crimes that New York is waiting to prosecute. No federal pardon for a state offense.

  9. sa says:

In addition to asking him if he’s a sore loser, another reporter asked “why are you so delusional?” But it kills me that it took them 4 years to stop indulging Trump and his lies. (They are not “falsehoods” they are lies).

    • Digital Unicorn says:

I think they are now venting their true feelings about him to his face, now that they know he’s out and fair game. I expect many of them to come out with books etc.. about what really went on behind the scenes.

All of his, his family and administrations dirty little secrets are about to be thrown out of the closet – they are ALL toast and heading for prison or the courts. They can no longer be protected by the office of the Presidency.

    • bluemoonhorse says:

Suddenly the MSM becomes brave now that voters have defanged the monster.

So, listen,Babyfists, when I say you are a fvcking twunt, a despicable maggot and a vile, disgusting specimen of a human, I don’t mean you are a fvcking twunt, a despicable maggot and a vile, disgusting specimen of a human. Wait… Actually, yeah, I do mean exactly that.
It’s going to be like throwing open all the windows and doors to let in the fresh air and sunshine to a cold, dark house that’s been locked up for four years.

  11. Digital Unicorn says:

Wow – I read about that press conference and just wow, he is really going all out insane.

Plus I stan Jim Acosta – he does love to troll Trump and his lackeys.

    • Seraphina says:

The republican election attorney stated there is no one in the WH that can go to him and tell him to concede or that it’s time to do so. Which made me think: I read that Ivanka had eyes on Presidency and being the first woman to do so, but if she cannot even calm her man child daddy into looking at reality, she should have no eye on WH.

      • Digital Unicorn says:

She can dream, will never happen – she like the rest of her family are toast after this. Who would back her, let alone vote for her.

This is an interesting article in a respected UK broadsheet about how the base feel about Cheeto’s children and its brutal. Jr fairs better than the Plastic Princess who it seems is not well thought of by Daddy’s cultists.

      • bluemoonhorse says:

I actually think she could do it, if Daddy lives for another 4 years (doubtful). Why? Because look at how close the vote is for Biden. Trump followers are a Lemming cult that would do anything he says.

      • bluemoonhorse says:

Don’t underestimate a pretty blonde Barbie doll to appeal to GOP voters (that’s why Fox news uses these talking heads). I also think (despite her protestations) that KK would love to be POTUS or VP. That is why she has wormed her way into politics and flips like a hamburger.

  12. Leah says:

    Trump: “stop the count”
Advisers: “but sir, Biden will win”
Trump: “look, I didn’t mean stop the count but stop the count”
    Advisers: “?”
Trump: “the count from Sesame Street, he looks like a Biden supporter and he’s in the room with us right now!”
Advisers: “you are seeing things sir”
Trump: “don’t tell me I see things that aren’t there, he’s been behind the door grinning at me and juggling numbers since Tuesday”

  13. February-Pisces says:

Watching trump go down kicking and screaming is beautiful to watch. If he was gracious (lol) it wouldn’t be anywhere near as gratifying. What a great (almost) ending to the worst presidency ever.

    • Seraphina says:

@ F-P, I know! I feel bad that I am enjoying watching him come unhinged but four years of no one keeping him in check and then pushing a SCJ though to stack the SC, I am ashamed as a grown woman to say: YES! his undoing is fun to watch.

  14. Yawnho says:

He was def on a c*ke binge. My ex (a regular user) called it lol

  15. Christin says:

Think about the taxpayer money that has gone to his businesses (family pockets), not to mention the “rich” adult children benefitting as they have. I hope every dollar is pursued.

We can move on while seeking to right their wrongs. If the past four years goes unchecked, it sets the stage for another round of unethical grifting in 2024 or beyond.

  16. Case says:

Twitter should ban him now. He doesn’t tweet his BS from the POTUS account, he tweets it from his personal account.

  17. B says:

Lock him up! Lock him up!

  18. QwietStorm says:

    Lame duck + duck a la orange = Trump a l’ orange.

    New Republican entree.
