George Clooney claims he’s been cutting his hair with a Flowbee for years

Catch 22 - TV Series premiere

In George Clooney’s recent GQ interview, he spoke a lot about how he’d spent the pandemic in LA, with his wife and twins, at the same three-bedroom LA home he’s owned since 1995, which he bought at the time for $600,000. It was a spacious bachelor pad, but he made it sound like there was not enough room for four people (plus assorted animals, I would imagine). He also told GQ that he’s gotten pretty domestic during the pandemic and “I cut my own hair and I cut my kids’ hair and I’m mopping it and vacuuming and doing the laundry and doing the dishes every day. I feel like my mother in 1964.” We all had a good chuckle because George tells a good story. Turns out, he was telling the truth. He really does cut his own hair and he cuts his kids’ hair. Dude’s got a Flowbee.

I don’t believe him. George Clooney is playing a prank on everyone. Now, I believe he probably bought a Flowbee. Maybe he even uses it on his kids, because kids won’t sit still for more than a couple of minutes, so why not knock out a haircut with a Flowbee. I don’t believe that George uses it on his own hair though. That’s not a Flowbee haircut! That looks more like Amal gave him a trim. I also don’t believe he’s been using a Flowbee on himself for years. Come on. He’s practical and cheap, but NOT LIKE THAT.

I would love to see a pic of his kids.

I’m trying to be generous here but if he is actively working on a set, he gives over his hair to the hair & makeup department so he would not need to see an outside stylist or any outside styling would have to work within the confines of whatever he is working on, since how he appears on camera is key to storytelling. Since he’s a white dude, he would not experience a dip in quality from a high end barber to hair dept on set.

Perhaps outside of being on set, he has flowbeed his own hair, it does sound like something he would do. I could see him buying a flowbee as a joke after seeing it on tv, then outside of set commitments flowbeeing his hair as a taunt to other actors, challenging their egos and image obsession.

It was so funny when I read this because my husband and I joke about the flowbee a lot because his mom used one on him when he was young. I don’t think I believe him either though because my husband’s hair is pin straight and “like straw” and it’s so hard for him to get a good haircut because of it. There is no where on his head where it lays nicely.

If they are still making them though I would be down for getting one because both of my boys need a haircut so bad and in the summer we just shaved their heads but I don’t want to do that in the winter.

@ Emm, he was adorable on CBS Sunday Morning!! When he stated that he uses a Flowbee, I couldn’t believe it, but he does!! He says his hair is like straw so I guess it works for him. He was a delight to watch!!

My brother is famous in our family for being “careful” financially. He bought a flowbee probably 30 years ago and it’s still going strong today. And to be honest, his hair always looks fine. It seems to work best on hair that’s thick and generally all one length. I believe George does it sometimes but, as someone above mentioned, it’s probably for the times between roles.

His son looks like a mini grumpy old English man in that pic! So adorable

I call bullshit, this is a man who traveled with his personal hairdresser for years, though in saying that the hairdresser was rumorsed Tobe his boyfriend

He means he cut it in between the professionals’ work during promos, events, advert campaigns, films, etc., I guess. Waldo Sanchez was reported to be travelling with him and he’s, yep, his “hairdresser.” He also lived with him – but George says Waldo was in the “guesthouse downstairs” – during the LA earthquake and remember that story about Max, his pig from Kelly Preston, waking him up to warn him about the earthquake? And George said it was during the middle of the day and they were both naked and he was trying to write a note to explain to everyone that it wasn’t what it looked like, in case they died? I think that was a very nod-wink tongue-in-cheek story he enjoyed telling, hinting at his bisexuality (I assume).

lol, I’d never heard about any of this until now. Hairdresser, eh…

Okay, so the buddy was Ben. Anyway, Daily Fail had a story years back, “Is George Clooney Going into Mid-Life Meltdown.” The way it talked about how Waldo always accompanied George around was basically hinting at something. Also that Spanish or Italian girlfriend said he was a “father figure” to her.

      • Valerie says:

Haha! Someone else had a story like that, minus the gun and bisexual rumours. I think it was Alyssa Milano who said that they slept naked until the earthquake. I guess it’s common enough to do that. even when you’re in your own place on someone else’s property, but I’d think that if I were staying somewhere, I’d bring some pj pants with me. Unless…

That does not look like the work of a Flowbee.
