  1. Jules says:

Oh yea, the mentality of playing the victim, “everything is sexist” has peaked. Over it.

    • AB says:

That sounds dangerously similar to “Don’t play the race card all the time”.

A woman mis-used the word “sexist”. That does not mean there is a phenomenon of “everything is sexist”.

  2. Miasys says:

That ppor Dennys waitress. Can’t begin to imagine the idiots she has to deal with. Well, this little video backfired on them. Those people need to to go sit on a cactus. That’s on fire. And rotating.

    • schmootc says:

They were clearly looking for attention. What assholes. I don’t blame her for just saying you know, I’ve had enough of this crap, bye. And them yammering on about the Civil Rights Act – really? Get out of here with that!

      • Chanteloup says:

yeah, I would have had to reach over and snatch that ‘civil rights’ shite right out of their mouths. Good for her! not taking their garbage.
Ever notice they pick who they think are the most powerless people, forced they think to submit to them, to spew their stupidity on? I live for the day every single place stands behind their workers and tells these losers to GTFOH. Let them cry their fake Karen tears at home, serving themselves.

  3. Veronica S. says:

Christ, at this point, does the word “feminism” even have a meaning with the way it’s been coopted by assholes? And it’s infuriating because sexism is absolutely an issue – like legit, guys, America put a goddamn reality tv host with a white supremacist platform into office over a woman with 50+ years of legal and government experience – but you’ve just got to wade through so much bullshit anymore. Social media was a mistake, y’all. It just gives the biggest idiots a platform.

As for nepotism that was entirely worthwhile, Tracee Ellis Ross continues being the best at everything she does fashion-wise.

    • theothercleo says:

It’s also quite obvious that “sexism” isn’t actually Hallie Meyers-Shyers issue with the Vulture article, she’s pissed the writer criticized the movie she directed and she wants everyone to know that it’s not her fault that film sucked, people are just mean to her because of her mom.

      • Southern Fried says:

Too bad daughter can’t just celebrate her mom’s success without making it about herself.

    • Jules says:

Exactly! Though I don’t think overall social media is the mistake, it’s just the assholes that use it to push their hipster woke fake agenda.

  4. Monica says:

Wow, Nancy could be Diane Keaton’s sister.

  5. (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

I got SUCH a Diana Ross vibe seeing Tracee in that silver dress…wow! (And yes, I KNOW Diana’s her mother 😊 I’m talking more about styling and pose). Not a fan of the first aqua one, but that black tank dress!! OMG, she looks AMAZING.

I loved the articles on NM. HUGE fan of her movies, and my “feels” for her house/kitchen porn knows no bounds lol. I love the houses in “The Holiday”, but I’d KILL for that Hamptons house in “Something’s Gotta Give”. Now, I think I’m going to give up watching my Xmas movies for one day and just binge non-stop on my favs of hers 😊

    • lucy2 says:

Yes! That silver dress was incredible. I even liked the aqua one on her – she’s one of those people who looks amazing in everything, and elevates the fashion even more than the runway models.

I love the production design of NM movies too.

    • Chanteloup says:

Ooooh, that link to Tracee’s dresses was fun!!

  6. Chanteloup says:

Please, could any mention of Elon Musk include the descriptor “bigoted, gormless wanker Ellipsoidal Muskrat” in place of his name. So tired of this plonker getting press. Asshole. /end rant

  7. Nedsdag says:

I hate to be the fly in the Nancy Meyers ointment, but her movies rarely have any diversity in them. For example, in the movie Something’s Gotta Give, Jack Nicholson is a hip hop executive, but there were no POC in the film.

  8. jferber says:

Unrelated, but I just read in the news that the federal government is slowing down the shipment of the second doses of vaccine to the states, though the feds are blaming Pfizer. Pfizer says the vaccines are in the trucks waiting for the feds to approve them and send them on their way. Nobody has said this yet, but this could be Trump’s revenge (again) for losing the election. He can eff up a lot of things, including vaccine disbursement. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he withheld vaccines (he’d already threatened Cuomo that New York would get none). Really want the journalists to find out the delay and shame them into speeding up again.

  9. Very innovative work. Great utilization of resources!!

  10. jferber says:

Just back to say that 12 of the 14 states that had a shortfall of the 2nd Pfizer vaccine had their electoral votes go to Biden in the election.

  11. Bibi says:

Matt Damon goes to visit Ben Affleck during a pandemic with a giant middle finger ring but without a wedding ring? It’s so obvious is this a publicity stunt. And is that a cigarette pack in his pocket? Gross

  12. Lilly (with the double-L) says:

I teared up watching Deb Haaland’s acceptance speech. She’s right that that role within the Department of Interior has been to destroy us (Native people), but we’re still here. Her focus on climate change is necessary too. She will be “fierce” for all and the planet. It’s true: representation matters.
