Ivanka Trump & Jared wouldn’t allow Secret Service agents to use their bathrooms

President Trump participates in a signing ceremony for the United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement

As soon as Donald Trump was elected, he extended Secret Service protection to his favorite child, Ivanka Trump, and her family, which includes Jared Kushner and their children. Ivanka and Jared have the kind of Secret Service entourage one would expect for a First Lady or a VP, not a baby-whispering a–hole daughter. Javanka moved into a rented home in DC’s elite Kalorama neighborhood, and the Secret Service tried to make the property as secure as possible. They ran into issues almost immediately because they needed to set up a command post and some facilities where the agents could use a restroom, sit down, get a briefing, etc. Instead, Jared and Ivanka refused to allow the agents access to the six-and-a-half bathrooms in their home. So the detail basically went on an expensive multi-year ordeal just so the agents assigned to Javanka could pee.

Many U.S. Secret Service agents have stood guard in Washington’s elite Kalorama neighborhood, home over the years to Cabinet secretaries and former presidents. Those agents have had to worry about death threats, secure perimeters and suspicious strangers. But with the arrival of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, they had a new worry: finding a toilet.

Instructed not to use any of the half-dozen bathrooms inside the couple’s house, the Secret Service detail assigned to President Trump’s daughter and son-in-law spent months searching for a reliable restroom to use on the job, according to neighbors and law enforcement officials. After resorting to a porta-potty, as well as bathrooms at the nearby home of former president Barack Obama and the not-so-nearby residence of Vice President Pence, the agents finally found a toilet to call their own. But it came at a cost to U.S. taxpayers. Since September 2017, the federal government has been spending $3,000 a month — more than $100,000 to date — to rent a basement studio, with a bathroom, from a neighbor of the Kushner family.

A White House spokesperson denied that Trump and Kushner restricted agents from their 5,000-square-foot home, with its six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, and asserted that it was the Secret Service’s decision not to allow the protective detail inside. That account is disputed by a law enforcement official familiar with the situation, who said the agents were kept out at the family’s request.

[From WaPo]

The full WaPo story has details about how agents on the Javanka detail spent months stopping by the Obamas’ home to use the facilities set up by the Obama team. The agents also tried to make it to the Pences’ residence. There was a Porto-potty in front of the Javanka home for a short time before the neighbors protested. Finally, the solution was that the Secret Service had to rent a basement apartment across the street, just to pee. And while Jared and Ivanka’s spokesperson threw a fit to the Washington Post about this story, WaPo had the details from “two law enforcement officials,” both of whom said “the bathrooms inside the Trump/Kushner home were declared off-limits to the people protecting them from the beginning. One official did not know the reason for this restriction, while the other said it was instigated by the couple.”

People are comparing it to that plotline from The Help, where Bryce Dallas Howard’s character goes on a rampage about “the help” using the bathrooms of white people. I don’t know, I get the comparison and all, but mostly I just think this is Ivanka being a clueless a–hole and not understanding what the Secret Service needed to protect her. It’s all so wasteful and ignorant.

If I were her I would not mistreat the people standing between me and the whole of NYC.

    • Lightpurple says:

As of Wednesday at noon EST time, they won’t be standing between her and anything

      • steph says:

So, she doesn’t get to keep her detail? I thought the whole family did unless the Senate convicts Trump

      • Sid says:

Steph, nope. After a president leaves office, only they , their spouse, and any minor children under the age of 16 continue getting protection. Ivanka and her husband are on their own.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

I hope the SS gives her a final parting gift of a “chocolate pie”.

    • Imagine treating the people whose job it is to “take a bullet” for you and your children like this. Every human being on earth has the same body function needs. I see this as more than being oblivious. I see it as being exceptionally cruel. Ivanka’s push back is that it’s not true and she didn’t know? Four years and she never wondered about the reason the assigned agents had to set up a port-a-potty in front of her house? And then, when the neighbors complained (hell, she probably complained too), they were forced to alter their protection protocols so they could relieve each other to travel to a bathroom. Four years and she never wondered why not one of them used a restroom inside her home? We all know there had to be one bathroom of 6-1/2 that was designated for staff, because I’m not buying that Ivanka has absolutely no help. In a house like that there is always a designated staff room and a bathroom somewhere on the ground floor. Her excuse — like all of her and her families many lies — simply does not hold up to any intelligent thinking. Also, Ivanka’s really working that NAZI BARBIE look the last few years — all that white-on-white is so appealing to that crowd of flying monkeys.

    • Elizabeth Phillips says:

Seriously! I’d be inviting them to family dinners and treating them like my nephews.

  2. Southern Fried says:

I also immediately thought about the Help. Javanka are complete garbage. Hope someone serves them sh*t pie.

  3. Amiblue says:

Can you imagine saying to someone who has pledged to protect your life at the expense of their own “No, you can’t use our bathroom?” JFC. These people.

    • Jellybean says:

Exactly this. I am sure, with all those bathrooms, they could have arranged something that maintained some privacy for everyone. It shows nothing but contempt for these brave people and then there is the stupid cost of having to rent a separate apartment – urghhh!!!!!

We need someone to to sit down and work out the total cost per year of this first family and compare it with others. I absolutely hate it when rich people don’t take their salary and use that fact for political gain. It should be a universal law that no public official is allowed to refuse the salary of the post they have taken and that they cannot say what they have done with it: if they choose to give it to charity then good, but if they make that knowledge public it should be treated as a political contribution. In the UK politicians have a long history of voting down their own wages to use it as a stick to hit public sector workers with, but then they pad out their income with expences and perks. How much extra has the Trump family cost the country and how much have they pocketed?

      • paranormalgirl says:

i would have given then a bedroom and bathroom to set up a command center. But I’m a decent human being so….

      • Remember how hard Trump came down on Obama playing golf while president? And yet, as “president”, Trump has spent most of his time either at the golf course, tweeting while taking a shit, or eating fast food in front of the tv.

    • Pusspants says:

The secret service should have just pissed on their front door.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Man, I wish I could “like” this comment!!

      • MyOpinion says:

@ Pusspants, I think they deserve more than just a pile of urine, I am thinking a lit paper bag with a present inside?
And of course they were welcomed at the Obamas because they are decent human beings, where as Ivanka and her drag Queen husband are not.

    • cassandra says:

      @Lowcountry Lady

I read somewhere that Trump has played golf over 350 times in his presidency. He spent a whole damn year of his tenure on the golf course

  4. fishface says:

the more I look at her the more I see her father

the more I look at her, the more I see Eric.

    • dogmom says:

I actually think she’s giving Tori Spelling vibes in the pic with the shoulder-length bob!

      • Nicole says:

YES! She really does look like Tori Spelling! Good catch. I’ve been trying to place if for a while now and that’s exactly it. Tori Spelling 2020, not Tori Spelling 1990s. Something about the build of their faces and how it takes plastic surgery. Very Tori2020.

    • Korra says:

In time, she will start to look like how her mother looks now.

    • It’sJustBlanche says:

The more I look at her, the more I second guess getting plastic surgery someday.

    • minx says:

She got plastic surgery too young and it’s not looking good. The center parted white-blond hair is also too severe.

  5. Lightpurple says:

Nagini is truly a viciously cruel excuse for a human. Where the Hell did she think they were going to relieve themselves? That they could hold it for an 8 hour shift? Per in her garden. The viper could have saved everyone the discomfort, hassle, and expense by declining a Secret Service detail completely but that wouldn’t fit with her illegal Princess act. She should be ordered to repay taxpayers every single cent she has taken from us. I hope the Secret Service agents put her picture at the bottom of the bowl. Five and a half more days and she’s on her own. Beast had better make sure she has a car lined up to meet her at the airport Wednesday. Secret Service doesn’t have to arrange anything for a single second after noon.

    • I read today on news feed that Trump has decided not to leave until Jan 20 and he wants a big send off with a big military presence either in DC or when he arrives in Florida. Wonder how much it will cost to pay people to attend that and if the Republican Party will pick up that tab, like they picked up tab to pay people to attend many of his rallies and sit behind him holding signs and cheering at every word for the cameras?

      • BeanieBean says:

He will no longer be president once he hits Florida, so there should be NO military presence there.

    • trashaddict says:

He probably has nowhere to go. NYC doesn’t want him, legally speaking he can’t really live at Mar-a-Lago. Forget the basic rule of “don’t $#!+ where you eat” Donnie?

  6. Seraphina says:

I was livid when I read the stories last night. These officers were there to protect their lives and these elitists refused to allow them to use their bathroom. THAT is how she and her family and her father think. And they could have easily assigned one to the security team. TRASH. And if his supporters showed up at Mar a Lago, they would not be allowed inside. Elitist trash.
The stories are leaking out and I need to remember to take deep breaths. And I am sure many will gladly sing like canaries to tell the horrid stories of this trash family.

    • Employees (especially wait staff) have “annonomously” gone on the record to report that there are standing orders at all Trump golf courses and hotels that they are not to make eye contact with him and if he sees a woman he deems ugly she is not allowed to work in any vicinity of him. He also does not like employees who are woman of color to be anywhere in his line of vision. One person, several years ago said that when he was having lunch with Trump at a Trump golf course, Trump blew a gasket because his waitress was “colored and ugly” and had her immediately removed and almost fired her supervisor (whom he called to the table) who stood up to him when he dressed him down for hiring her. He wanted the waitress immediately fired and the supervisor pointed out that she couldn’t be fired for her race or her looks. That he was opening himself up to a employee discrimination suit. The witness said Trump stormed out and he heard that the supervisor was demoted and the waitress was reassigned to such a shit job, that she quit. I know someone who owns several major golf courses on the East Coast and asked him if he’d ever heard this story and he said yes he had and the source was reliable. He said Trump was known to be a really bigoted asshole who treated the female staff waitresses at his courses badly.

  7. shanaynay says:

These people are protecting your safety, and you can’t even let them use your bathroom?!?! Are you friggen kidding me. That’s despicable. Shame on them.

  8. Esmom says:

Yes, our taxpayer dollars covered the $3,000 a month to rent a basement apartment so that their agents have a place to go. Before they secured that place, after the Obama detail kicked them out for messing up the bathroom they had access to, the agents relied on restaurant bathrooms. It doesn’t surprise me a single but that Javanka could’t extend even the most simple courtesy to the people assigned to protect them. I mean they only have 6.5 bathrooms, how could they possibly spare one?

    • Becks1 says:

Yeah that 3k a month is the proof for me – the secret service wouldnt spend that unless there was no other choice. the denials about how it was the “agents choice” are just flat out false

    • Seraphina says:

It blows my mind to comprehend the refusal to someone to use my bathroom, let alone to people who are paid to protect me and my family while paid for the public. And we Americans laugh at Middleton’s use of funds. And look at how Ivanka and her family has misused public funds.

      • Wiglet Watcher says:

Both families have the press on their side for now. With the Trumps on the official outs these stories will be frequent. Imagine if Kate got a divorce. The press and staff would leak all the misused fund scandals.

      • Andrew’s Nemesis says:

We live in hope that the Middletons’ shady business dealings are splattered all over the front pages. When people social-climb that hard, they fall even harder.

      • Nic919 says:

The abuse of funds is bad on both ends but the difference is that this grifter family will be gone after four years whereas the Middletons will grift forever. Or if there is a divorce.

      • It’s amazing to me how the American press has probably known these sorts of stories for the last 4 years, but is only now writing about them. I think the word “cowardly” comes to mind a lot when I think of much of the last 4 years of press reports on the Trumps. It’s the same with the royal family. Stories are only told when the press find it in their interest to do so. I would have appreciated hearing this story 4 years ago, before we as taxpayers spent approximately $136,000 on bathroom facilities for Ivanka’s secret service in her DC house alone. What are we not hearing? If reported earlier, she might have had to allow them to use the staff bathroom in her DC home, thus saving us a few bucks. What about her other homes, what about the other 4 Trump kids and Melania? Just what have we spent on this family who has “No F***s” to give for the little people protecting them?

      • trashaddict says:

Lowcountry Lady – THIS. Why did it take 4 – no wait a sec – 5 years to start telling the truth? Who instigated this bizarre hiatus in investigative journalism?
If I had been a secret service agent on that detail, I think the foliage at the back of the house would not be thriving by the time they moved out, if you know what I mean.

  9. Becks1 says:

They are complete garbage. and of course it was due to Javanka’s orders. If they have facilities at other houses in the area they protect (ahem Obama ahem) then there’s no reason they couldnt have used something at the Kushners. It does sound like they may have had a separate building at the Obamas that had a bathroom and for some reason they could not build that at Javanka’s? Or maybe a separate entrance and bathroom?

Arent the agents all over their house anyway? Or do they only sweep it maybe once a day and the rest of the time its just a matter of securing the grounds/perimeter?

I could understand if the rule was something like “Jared and Ivanka prefer that the agents not use the same bathroom the kids use” or something (just to help maintain normalcy for the kids) – but a blanket refusal? There wasnt a powder room off the entry hall or something that the agents could use? And we know that it WAS a blanket refusal because no one one actually wants to use a port-a-potty in DC in the summer (too hot) or winter (cold) unless they have no other choice.

Can you imagine the look on Obama’s face when he heard that the agents had to use his bathrooms? (again unclear if it was a separate building from his main house, because I do think they have a SS outbuilding there, or in the actual house) but either way – it was probably another “jackass” moment for Obama.

    • Seraphina says:

I was thinking the same, can you imagine when MO and BO were explained what was going on? Obamas are a class act. I would have leaked it out.

    • Esmom says:

The Obamas had a separate building with a bathroom. That was one of the points of the article, that Jarvanka could have chosen a place that would enable a setup like that but no they had to insist on that house, on a very exclusive street, without any regard to what might work for the team that would be protecting them. Needless to say, they were not welcome in the neighborhood.

      • Darla says:

Ohhhh I see Esmom. Okay, this makes sense now.

      • FancyPants says:

On the one hand, it is a pandemic, on the other hand, these workers are willing to DIE for you! Whatever the situation with pandemic/outbuildings/housekeeping, the Kushners could have worked something out if they wanted to, and they simply don’t care. Good riddance.

      • Nic919 says:

The bathroom situation had been going on for years, well before the pandemic even started.
Considering they have staff do all the cleaning anyway, they could have set up an exclusive use bathroom for them.

I still think they need to restrict secret service protection for adult children who don’t live with the president. Or have a strict monetary limit. This was abused non stop by the grifter clan.

      • Seraphina says:

@Nic919, actually what you stated. How hard would it be to dedicate one bathroom, the one closest to an entrance/exit, when you have 6.5 and it’s for a family of 4? And they have people who clean their house, it’s not Ivanka who is cleaning those toilets with Comet.

    • The Obama’s renovated the DC home with the needs of the secret service in mind. How would this have been so difficult for Ivanka? Please, let’s not make excuses for her. Trust me, the very rich know that they have to accommodate staff and act accordingly. Protection officers’ needs would be no different.

  10. Darla says:

You know I was really outraged too until I got to the part where one of their SS agents made such an “unpleasant” mess at President Obama’s bathroom that Obama’s SS detail banned them after that. That really gave me pause. I am famously, like, I guess, mental about bathrooms? I have some work stories. I’ll leave it at that.

    • Becks1 says:

Ha, that would give me pause too except that that happened AFTER they were banned from the Kushner house. So it wasnt like Jared and Ivanka knew that there was a chance of that, you know?

      • mynameispearl says:

Still though, they could have assigned them 1 bathroom in the house. It’s not like Jared or Ivanka would have been scrubbing the loo themselves. And if someone left a mess then surely the next secret service person to use the toilet would complain to the group of agents using the facility. Theres always one individual in a group to cause toilet drama (I work in a busy office and there are war stories!), the solution is not… no toilet facilities for anyone now lol!

      • Darla says:

        LOL you’re right pearl.

    • Midnight@theOasis says:

I wonder though about intent of the Secret Service guy who left the mess at the Obama’s. It’s been documented that many of the Secret Service are true Trumpers and perhaps this agent made the mess intentionally. They’ve had to bring back Biden’s original Secret Service detail because they don’t trust the ones protecting Trump. Also, not sure how true it is, but I read that Ivanka suffers from chronic diarrhea just like her father so she needs quick access to toilets. Allegedly she wears diapers as well.

      • Darla says:

Oh, I wonder about intent there too.

      • Digital Unicorn says:

Yeah I can see her abusing laxatives like he abuses adderall – apparently she has a similar diet to him, fast food.

      • Mignionette says:

Can someone fill me in on the mess story and the Obama’s ?

      • mynameispearl says:

Ugh, that’s f*cked up if someone deliberately left a mess because it was the Obamas secret service toilet. But honestly, I work in an office place with a big building, everyone is an accredited professional… and yet… some random person took to defecating on the floor (in the disabled bathroom which is unisex so we couldn’t work out if it was someone Male or Female). I kinda figured someone got a sort of messed up kick out of doing it, because anyone could have caught them if they needed to use the bathroom directly after them. It was also a deliberate act because the toilet was RIGHT there, and it sporadically happened over a 2 year period. Anyway, all I’m saying is that people are weird!!!

Either way though, the building managers didn’t then say to the 100 people in the building that we couldn’t go to the loo because one person had mental issues.

This story is a side show though, as Jared and Ivanka said no to bathroom use without knowing of this incident, they’re just absolutely horrible people with no concern for the people working for them. Literally makes no sense to expect people to work for you all day and not provide toilet facilities. I wonder do the secret service have a union? If I was working in a sandwich shop and had no access to toilet facilities pretty sure my employer would get in big trouble 😂

      • Nic919 says:

That is scary to hear that Biden needed to get his original detail. They need to do a serious psychological profile of these agents because if they are trumpers and can’t be trusted to do their job, they need to go.

      • L84Tea says:

@Pearl, just a couple of weeks ago, somebody on my floor sh*t in the little garbage can in the women’s single bathroom. What would possess someone to do that when there was a toilet right there, I have no idea. This floor is full of professionals with no access from the public. It was disgusting and horrific, and the cleaning staff was furious.

    • When I read that, I wondered if that was one officer’s inappropriate message to the Obamas. You know, there has to be such a thing as a racist secret service agent, just like there are racists in all walks of life.

      • mynameispearl says:

        @l84tea

I wonder does this go on in workplaces all over the world and nobody talks about it (because it’s so gross). Its the weirdest act, because its definitely deliberate (if for some unknown reason you had to poop on the floor, you’d clean it up!).

Would love to know reasons for this, I’m not gross, but there has to be psychological issues at play. Wonder now that so many are now WFH are they getting agitated that they arent getting their fix 🤣

  11. Xantha says:

I don’t think Ivanka is clueless. I think she knows exactly what she’s doing when she and her mannequin husband pull shit like this. My theory is that while Donald is a malingnant narcissist, Ivanka’s the true sociopath of the family.

    • Seraphina says:

Xantha, I agree with your theory. Trump can’t help mouthing off and Don Jr is just like him in that regard. I believe Ivanka is like her father, calculating but quiet, more tactile and much more devious. Still waters run deep. her down fall is her pride. Like when she went to that summit where everyone was like, WTH are you doing here.

  12. Andrew’s Nemesis says:

This couple is beyond repugnant. They’re poor white trash masquerading as upper class. They have no basic human decency.
I would love it if they were compelled to refund the $100,000 of taxpayers’ funds just so that those who were sworn to protect their lives, at all costs, could relieve themselves.

  13. Jessica says:

Trash with money right here folks! A trash upbringing in a trash family can’t be concealed with money! You can’t fake class or grace!

(I would love to know what kind of conversations Barack and Michelle Obama had about this.)

  14. TIFFANY says:

So the apartment that the agents found, happen to belong to a family friend….at 3k a month. You can’t tell me that those two Nazis didn’t get a cut.

I hate these people so much.

    • Lightpurple says:

The apartment they found is part of a house that is rented by a friend. The owner of the house despises Ivanka, partied with protesters when she first moved in, and filed complaints about the portapotty on the sidewalk. Nagini isn’t getting a kickback

  15. Christin says:

Why did the supposedly wealthy adult children need taxpayer-funded protection in the first place?

Someday I hope we have a tally of how much each of the grifters cost taxpayers, from travel to security.

    • Lightpurple says:

The tally needs to include the cost of the West Wing office space she and her staff squatted in, the office furnishings, supplies, resources, & utilities, including water & sewage; IT devices and software licenses; staff salaries & benefits, including their travel, lodging & meals; and the costs of diverting agency staff from their actual job duties to tend to Nagini’s demands. All of this was illegal. First Daughter is not a thing.

      • Christin says:

This morning, CNN had a reporter discussing the couple’s future. Why they get so much attention (and taxpayer funded perks) is completely beyond me.

Hunter and Ashley (Joe’s children) will likely be expected to reimburse the cost of toilet paper when they visit the WH.

      • Nic919 says:

Maggie Haberman and the other access journalists need to stop treat Javanka as serious people and treat them like the grifters they truly are. Jared is off selling state secrets for personal profit and helped killed that journalist. Nagini has been involved directly in a ton of dirty deals, including the building in Azerbaijan. The US media has been so bad at covering them and trying to treat them as “normal”. They aren’t.

    • Why do you think Trump put them all on the payroll? I wonder if Tiffany got protection. I’ll bet he found a way to bend the rules for her, even though she wasn’t an official Presidential advisor.

  16. Sofia says:

What shitty behaviour. But unsurprising to hear when you remember that both Jared and Ivanka are spoilt brats.

I’ve had tradespeople (so not secret service I know) come work at my house and whenever they wanted to use the bathroom, I would let them. Heck, they even get asked “do you want coffee?”.

  17. Swack says:

Don’t understand why some people can’t display common courtesy to others. I have had people working on my house and if they need the bathroom they used it.

  18. Mignionette says:

This whole story was shameful and further highlights what the Trumps really think of the plebs i.e. Police, Military and Secret Service.

Trash. Throw them in the bin.

    • Yeah, I loved those leaked comments of Trump complaining to his aides about the low class, trashily dressed “American Patriots” who stormed the Capitol on Jan 6. It amazes me that none of these people listen to Trump when he tells them exactly what he thinks of them, and yet they’re willing to die for him and think he’s a God.

  19. Digital Unicorn says:

Those photos – all the plastic surgery in the world is not going to hide how much like Daddy she looks like. No wonder he paws at her.

  20. TheOriginalMia says:

It’s just common courtesy to allow a person working for you to use your facilities. What the hell? Where did they expect them to go? Their job is literally to place themselves between the Kushners and a bullet. Can’t do that if you’re down the block at the 7-11 taking a piss. And a porta potty in a neighborhood is a no go for many neighborhoods. Nice of the Obama detail to allow them to use their facilities.

  21. Mgal says:

Man. Their kids. If they are actually doing the bulk of the parenting, those kids are gonna be awful ppl.

  22. Arpeggi says:

What’s hilarious is that they’re claiming that “well, actually, it was the SS that didn’t want to disturb them by using one of their bathrooms”… What a load of BS! SS wouldn’t want to disturb them by entering their house for a few minutes so instead they’d go disturb the Obamas or Pences?! C’mon!

    • At the VP residence, they used the facilities at the guard house on the gate. But it was several miles away. The Obama’s house is in the same neighborhood as Ivanka.

  23. Gracie says:

McConnell’s wife makes her secret service detail bring her paper in and, oh yeah, they goto the gas station bathroom down the street. I honestly don’t know the grit it takes to defend people who won’t even let you use the bathroom.

  24. steph says:

So this administration was against stimulus checks and thought a total if $1800 over the course of 10 months was useful when they couldn’t even find a bathroom for less than $3k a month?

They are as*holes and dumb. These people are there to protect you and your children’s lives. How well do they think they’ll do their jobs if they are treated like sh*t?

  25. Guest with Cat says:

I’m surprised their house is not as big as I would expect. I have a large farmhouse and it’s just a little smaller than theirs in terms of square footage and has 5 toilets. Two are in full small suites adjacent to bedrooms. There is a powder room way too close to the kitchen (most houses here have powder rooms too close to kitchens) and an upstairs hall bath and a basement full bathroom that my husband uses since it’s next to the home office that is now his permanent workplace. If I had to accommodate a security detail I guess they’d have to use my hall bathroom. And I can’t imagine where they would set up a command center in my house. My office doubles as a nursery for my foster kittens. That would be hilarious fitting agents in with mischievous kittens! Another bedroom is also devoted to older special needs cats. There’s my daughter’s room and then a guest room that for the Kushner’s would belong to another child. For us, it’s in reserve for elderly family members who may need to move in.

You would think 5000 Sq feet is a generous amount of space especially since most of us have grown up in houses considerably smaller. But I can see logistics problems in a house that’s 5000 Sq feet. Six bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms sounds like a lot but in that square footage are likely to be smaller than one would expect. Especially if it’s an older house.

If they live in a really old house it may very well be awkward to set aside space away from prime living space to accommodate something like an entire security detail. Especially since they have small children and presumably a nanny and other household help already staking out a bathroom for their use.

So they either should not have chosen that house or they should have resolved to suck it up, buttercup. You don’t make people tasked with taking a bullet for you to find bathroom facilities elsewhere.

I’m surprised they would prefer to have a porta potty as a solution.

Anyway I’m not trying to make excuses for them. I just got caught up trying to imagine how it would all work out since I have similar square footage to work with since I live where real estate is, or at least used to be, affordable when we bought our place.

You are giving her far too much benefit of the doubt. Not letting people use your toilet is as racist and classy as you can get I grew up raised by racists I would know as a child I want allowed to use several bathrooms because “I would dirty it” PHuck them
