Duchess Meghan is ‘unlikely’ to travel with Harry to the UK this summer

09-03-2020 Commonwealth Day Celebrations Westminster Abbey 2020...

I feel like I’ve written about a million versions of this story in the past year, but here we are. As soon as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex left that musty island, the islanders have been telling themselves that Harry and Meghan will be back, that they’ll fail and they’ll be poor and everyone hates them. What actually happened was that Harry and Meg found a way to thrive even in a pandemic, and they’re never coming back. I should also note: most of the energy around the “they’ll be back” narrative was actually “HE will be back.” The British establishment was fine with saying goodbye to Meghan for good, but they convinced themselves that Harry would divorce Meghan, abandon his child and come back to them, begging for their forgiveness.

When all of those stories fell flat, then the British press devoted an insane amount of energy to “the one-year review” and “when will Harry be back to visit” and “when will Harry and William bury the hatchet.” It was said that the Queen was waiting for Harry to call to make an appointment for the “one year review” and she was going to demand that he come back for Trooping the Colour or Philip’s birthday or whatever. Harry never called. Which still cracks me up. So now the new version is “Harry will come visit but Meghan won’t come with him, which is terrible and yet it pleases the Queen.”

The Duchess of Sussex is ‘unlikely’ to accompany her husband, Prince Harry, when he plans to return to the UK in early summer. The sixth in line to the throne will almost certainly travel to see his family for the first time since the couple acrimoniously quit as working royals alone, multiple sources have told the Daily Mail.

Insiders stress that the couple’s plans have yet to be finalised and much depends on the pandemic and whether travel restrictions remain in place at the time. But their understanding, at this time, is that Harry, 36, will fly to the UK to see the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William – along with his niece and nephews – without Meghan and, probably, their son Archie.

Sources were at pains to stress that Meghan’s tentative decision not to accompany her husband is for ‘personal and practical’ reasons and is not in any way being construed as a ‘snub’. But if she decides not to travel it will save royal officials something of a diplomatic headache. The couple had been expected to attend key royal events in June, including Prince Philip’s 100th birthday celebrations and Trooping The Colour, the official celebration of the Queen’s 95th birthday.

Harry is also due in the UK in July for the long-awaited unveiling of the statue that he and William commissioned in memory of Diana at Kensington Palace. But there has been widespread, quiet concern that the couple’s involvement in the larger family events – and the inevitable public and media furore that would surround their appearance – could detract from the significance of such key occasions.

A source said: ‘It should be strongly stressed that there is still an element of uncertainty about this because of the unpredictable Covid situation, but the understanding is the duke is more than likely to come back on his own. This is a personal and practical decision by the couple, but it would certainly help officials navigate what is likely to be a fairly tricky situation.’

Another added: ‘Her Majesty made very clear when they left the UK that Harry and Meghan were still much loved members of her own family and would be very welcome to attend family events. That still holds true. Practically, however, it comes with the need for a certain amount of diplomacy. There is still a great deal of distance between Harry and many family members, particularly his brother. No one wants a repeat of the Commonwealth Service.’

A third source confirmed they had also been told Harry was likely to return home alone. ‘Harry wants to come back for The Queen and Prince Philip’s big birthdays. But it looks likely it will be just him,’ they said. ‘If Meghan comes back, the feeling is that it would overshadow the occasion. People would only be looking at the ‘drama’ of it all. Of course she would be welcome, but a decision not to come would postpone that headache for a while at least.’

[From The Daily Mail]

This is pretty funny, all around. Sources are bumfuzzled about who is snubbing whom or which invitations are being declined or whether they want to paint Meghan as “the bad guy.” I think what probably happened is that Meghan said a big NOPE to all of this and made it clear that she’s not going to be used by this petty clout-chasing family any further (I said what I said). And so now they’re clutching their pearls about how much DRAMA she would bring and so that’s why they’re happy she’s not coming. When we all know that if Meghan chose to, she could simply show up, take all the headlines, be on the front page of every newspaper and a certain Keen couple would throw a f–king fit about it. Meg also said “and you can take my son’s name out of your mouth too.”

Um Harry himself is unlikely to travel let alone Meghan too. Both countries (US and UK) are dealing with high death tolls and cases and while anything can happen in 6 months, it’s unlikely to change dramatically i.e travel restrictions and quarantines are lifted. So it’s unlikely Harry will travel.

Plus if he comes, he’ll just be blamed for travelling irresponsibly and burdening the NHS

    • Mika says:

Yeah! Seriously! Dude… no one should get on a plane for a fucking statue party. BECAUSE CORONAVIRUS.

    • BayTampaBay says:

This whole story is nothing but made-up BS by The Daily Fail which specializes in made-up BS.

Who knows what anyone will do in 6 months time due to the pandemic?

      • Anne Call says:

Probably no safe travel until 2022. Made up story.

      • Plus One., BayTampaBay. Story is just the 👑🐀S throwing shit against the wall to see if anything sticks. I hope Meghan and Harry both attend events they are talking about. The hell with the 👑🐀s dictating what the Sussexes will or will not do or should or should not do.

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

If Harry comes, he will be criticized for spreading Covid internationally (which will be spun as much worse than what the Cambridges did). And if he doesn’t come, Meghan will be criticized for stopping her husband from seeing his loving family.

      • Feeshalori says:

It’s the classic case of damned if you do and damned if you don’t. At this point they should do what is best for them, if travel is even a possibility at that time.

  2. MrsRobinson says:

Wise decision. I admire her for saying no to all that drama.

    • Tessa says:

He needs to stay home too. I would say both go or nobody does.

      • (TheOG) Jan90067 says:

Agreed. Staying home, health-wise, is the only *smart* thing to do, when you’re dealing with a virus that even if you are asymptomatic, can STILL cause lingering to lifelong health issues with your heart and vascular system! RIGHT NOW, the Corona Task Force (set up by Biden) is giving a briefing, saying if you don’t HAVE to travel, sit your a$$ home!! The mutated variants are VERY dangerous!

Besides, Harry should NOT go there without his wife. Period. I don’t know what man, who loves his wife, would want to go, even to family, where his wife wasn’t welcomed (let alone insulted!).

    • ABritGuest says:

Meghan hasn’t said anything. The Sussexes stated a week ago or so that with the pandemic its presumptuous to talk summer travel plans. Both US & U.K. have some of the highest rona rates & have handled it terribly so question whether these events are going to happen. I’m curious about Invictus for example.

I do think some in the firm want Harry to return alone (probably so they can deprogramme him away from the jezebel (I jest)) & probably because they are worried about Meghan overshadowing etc. However I think the press want Meghan to return for new photos & stories about her making royals cry by not wearing a hat or something

  3. Snuffles says:

Yeah, I doubt Harry has made any decisions about traveling given the current state of things pandemic wise. This is just the RRs desperate for Harry to return.

    • Mac says:

Unless something really dramatic happens to curtail the pandemic, I don’t see Harry traveling. I get that his grandfather only turns 100 once, but not exposing yourself and your family to a potentially deadly virus seems more important to me.

    • Myra says:

At this point, it is all just speculation. Personally, I hope Harry doesn’t go either. These people will try to humiliate him every chance they get.

  4. Maria says:

    Good.
I hope Harry doesn’t go either honestly.
I’ve said this before but after the wreath stunt (and this birth certificate crap) I see no reason at all why they should go back.

  5. Tessa says:

I hope he does not go without her. The social media people who dislike them want him to “leave her” and some want him to “take Archie”. He needs to go with her and not go alone. And the media would be all over their “splitting up” and it being her fault that she “broke up” the “close” Brothers.

    • Maria says:

Tessa – they already say all of those things without her even being in public.
Why should she go back into the piranha pit for people who are assholes anyway?
Her mental health is more important.

      • Tessa says:

He should also stay away. IMO. I think it was horrible how nobody put the wreath down for him. That says it all. He could be truly hurt. It is good to have her with him so he will not be alone.

      • Jegede says:

        @Maria-

        Exactly. 👍👍👍👍
Her pain in that Tom Bradby was evident.

And now, after the BRF’s very public slingshots at her.
        William scarfing/Commonwealth icing/Angela Kelly stirring.
Then we have courtiers/historians straight up saying she is NOT welcome

No Meghan fan, or mental health supporter, could sanction her returning to a nest of vipers – and to people who have harassed her with abuse almost daily, – just so they can get pictures.🤨

I understand Harry going to see Prince Philip for what could be his last b-day.
I don’t know why Meghan has to go pay homage to the man who labelled her the ‘degree wife.’😒😒

Anyway, royal couples do separate things all the time.
I’m quite sure Sussex marriage can survive a week apart, or else they’re really screwed.

    • bloemheks says:

They will say the same thing if he doesn’t go. She’s making him stay and miss important family events. She’s holding him hostage. He’s so sad.

  6. Alexandria says:

Funny the BRF expects Harry to turn up for family but they don’t have the same energy to do the same for Harry. #AbolishTheMonarchy #RacistBRF #PettyBetty

  7. notasugarhere says:

I have a sneaking suspicion this is William’s shot across the bow, laying the groundwork. He doesn’t want Harry and Meghan at the unveiling of the Diana statue. If they cannot travel because of COVID, he’ll take advantage and do the unveiling solo or with Kate and kids for PR. Cut Harry and Meghan out completely, then blame them for not being there.

William refused, last minute, to let Meghan accompany Harry to the private memorial at Althorp. She had flown in special for that weekend to be with Harry. The press weren’t there, no cameras, no access, but he refused to let Meghan be there. The nannies and the kids were allowed, but not Meghan. As it wasn’t an official event but a private family one, there was no reason Harry couldn’t have his girlfriend (not yet fiancee) there.

    • February-Pisces says:

I was thinking how in 2017 the middletons blocked Meghan from attending Pippa’s wedding, after Meghan flew over and brought a dress and everything. Fair enough it was Pippa’s wedding, but it does set the scene that the Keens will do everything to ensure Meghan is not present at events whenever they can.

    • Tessa says:

It’s terrible that HM and Charles don’t rein William in. HM should have spoken up and told William Harry and Meghan had every right to be there. Such dysfunction in that family.

    • Lady D says:

I truly don’t understand why Harry takes orders from William. Petty Liz, yes, Charles, yes, but William is not in charge, so why does Harry have to follow what William decides? Why is he in charge of Harry’ life in any way shape or form?

      • Nic919 says:

There is no reason to listen to William. He’s not currently the monarch with any power and he’s not Harry’s parent.

      • notasugarhere says:

When someone is as life-long abusive to you as William is to Harry? Sometimes the easiest path is let them have their way, while you plot your escape.

    • windyriver says:

@nota, that’s definitely a possibility, especially if it’s true what was said a few weeks back, that William ” ‘will be concerned’ that Harry is taking ownership of Diana’s legacy”, in response to Harry’s statement “I am my mother’s son” when launching the Archewell site.

I can see Will hoping to keep Harry away so HE can get the spotlight and all of the positive press for the statue of Diana.

    • tcbc says:

So…I don’t agree with this. These kinds of events are often “family only.” If Harry had told them that he was going to propose, that’s a different story. But I understand why William wouldn’t want a girlfriend at a family event. The nannies are okay because they are family-adjacent. The kids are comfortable with them, and the family have likely known them longer than an overseas girlfriend.

      • notasugarhere says:

It was a private event, just a handful of people. No press, no public access. William chose to shove in the knife and twist, refusing to let Harry have the comfort of Meghan at his side during that event. There is absolutely no excuse for William’s behavior.

  8. Maria says:

And LOL at the Palace officials saying it’ll be a diplomatic headache with all their events.
Meaning, she is the star and they know it.
Too bad you f**ed it up!

    • Oy_Hey says:

Diplomatic issue in that everyone will be watching Meghan and not them?
Lol way to tell on yourselves BRF.

  9. CC2 says:

Covid aside, I can’t imagine Harry being there at the ceremonies and royal events without Meghan.

I can imagine him returning to the UK for his work by himself and would probably visit the kids informally (of course we will hear a leak, lol) if things aren’t this bad then.

Or Meghan following for her work with her patronages.

But we will hear about it after they leave (releasing photos).

I don’t think Harry will willingly go without Meghan because “Meghan is too much drama”. Heck no. Especially for the Diana statue.

  10. Brit says:

Y’all this is desperation from a thirsty and money hungry media that need their money makers back. They want them to confirm or deny the story so they can get content from that statement. They’re hoping and praying she comes because their photographers need shots and the tabloids need leaks. I doubt there will any traveling this year and it’s a partly a cry for help because they need the Sussexes.

    • L4frimaire says:

The Sussexes have no public role so if they do come, it will strictly be as private family members ( using that term loosely). They will attend private family events but anything public or official is not their role anymore. The press are hoping they’ll be front and center but they won’t be. Also, we still have a pandemic and there will still be restrictions, even when things start to open up.

  11. Girl_ninja says:

I hope he doesn’t go at all. Those people are not right and God knows what they will try. He should stay in the States with his family.

    • Jegede says:

Remember this is the same family who court documents have CONFIRMED are CURRENTLY working with the MOS to brief against Meghan.😠

This is the same family who have gone to the press via Rusell Myers to imply Meghan is a liar over the birth certificate information update.

But yeah, it’s Harry and Meghan need to understand family time.🙄

  12. Maliksmama says:

This is crazy. Why on earth would Meghan fly to the UK? For what purpose?

Elizabeth had her aides/courtiers brief the MoS about her “much loved” grandson and his wife. I’d bet money that Phillip let off a couple of “off color” and racist jokes. Why would Meghan subject herself to incandescent Willie and passive-aggressive Kate?

Meghan might come with Harry if they unveil Diana’s statue. I’d be surprised if Archie made the trip though. He doesn’t need to be exposed to those people.

    • Tessa says:

Kate did not even go near him to play with him and hold him when Archie was only a few feet away. As children get older they get more sensitive to snubs by adults. I hope Archie does not go with them if they do go.

      • Steph says:

        When was this?

      • lanne says:

That surprised me so much, and it’s the one thing that turned me off to Kate completely. How do you NOT coo over a baby when you have your own children present. How do you IGNORE your own nephew when he’s right in front of you, no matter what you think of the parent. You DONT SNUB BABIES!!!

      • Tessa says:

Steph, This was when Kate and Meghan were watching their respective husbands play polo. Kate never once came over to see Archie.

      • molly says:

@steph- I assume the polo match with all the kids right after Archie was born. I give everyone a pass on that day. Kate was trying to be Fun, Engaged Mom with a very squirmy and unpredictable Louis. Meghan had a death grip on Archie that all new moms have the first time you take your baby out in public. They both knew camera were capturing their every breath, and as info has trickled out over the years, I have no doubt there was serious behind the scenes tension between the Harry and William during that time.

We were all hoping for Diana and Fergie, comfortably swapping kids and being the beloved aunt who’s clearly in the kids’ lives, but that’s unfortunately not the relationship with the Cambridges/Sussexes.

      • Nic919 says:

Louis went over to see Archie because he was curious and the lack of interaction from Kate when that happened is hard to explain. If Louis was running around in a different direction then sure, but he was curious and that would have been the time to coo over Archie. But she didn’t.

      • windyriver says:

It was most troubling to me that George, and especially Charlotte, expressed no interest whatsoever in Archie. That seemed abnormal, and the implication is they had been told to stay away from Meghan.

      • Sid says:

Molly, as Nic mentioned, little Louis toddled over to Meghan and Archie and had the cute interaction with them where he had sunglasses. Kate could have got up, followed her son, and greeted Meghan. The fact that she didn’t is very telling for me. And if she had, there would have been pictures of it splashed everywhere with headlines about how sweet Kate was to go and help the new mom.

  13. Izzy says:

“ No one wants a repeat of the Commonwealth Service.” No, I’m sure they don’t want to give the Keenbridges and Sophie Ford Fiesta another opportunity to show their whole asses to the world on live TV.

    • L84Tea says:

I actually find it VERY interesting that they said that. At the time there were so many excuses being thrown out to justify the RF’s behavior–particularly Kate’s attitude. So I find it amusing that they are basically acknowledging how awful they came off looking that day.

      • Becks1 says:

Yeah to me that was the giveaway. They dont want anything thats going to make the royals look bad – and they know that certain people (cough Kate cough) cant control their behavior so they want to avoid the potential for another PR disaster.

    • Chica says:

But what does that have to do with Meghan if Harry’s family are rude POS? Shouldn’t the family be told to fall in line and be diplomatic and cordial

      • ArtHistorian says:

The blame the person they are rude to for their own rudeness because they are a toxic family.

  14. Nicole says:

To quote Lizzo, “You coulda had a bad b*tch”

  15. Tessa says:

If he goes alone the “well meaning” (LOL) William will try to tell him to “come home.” Harry needs to stay away.

  16. Mina_Esq says:

If Harry goes, I think Meghan will go too. As she should. She is his wife and the Duchess of Sussex. She belongs right there, next to her man.

  17. Lizzie says:

Personally I would like to see Meghan go, head held high and max glam, IF travel is safe. Do not stay home and hide your light. What the haters want is for her to stay home as if she is afraid to show her face to the family.

    • L84Tea says:

This is how I feel. I would rather they both stay home, but IF a decision was made to attend, I want Meghan there by his side like the badass she is, head held high as the sun. Together, they are a very powerful reminder to the British public, media, and RF that they lost out big time.

      • BnLurkN4eva says:

Only if she brings her own supply food/drinks and it had it’s own trusted body guard to guard it. I don’t trust anyone in that family, those they work with and anyone who is royal/government/media adjacent around Meghan.

    • Jegede says:

No, what the haters want is for her there centre stage.

You realise the UK press use and abuse Meghan to make money.
Her being there is a boon to them not only for stories but clicks and revenue, not love or concern.😑😑

Already the right wing hacks have been going at her on this story. AGAIN.
They’re pissed at the lost photo opportunity & commentary.

I can’t understand the logic that after everything these people have put her through, she should still be a performing circus animal on cue.
No feelings, no agitation just a smile, as the Lamebridges are given an opportunity to snub her, and courtiers to leak more ish about her.

The recent birth certificate fiasco – which had to have been requested by someone – should surely highlight what Meghan is up against in an establishment and people who ferment hate against her.

I hope after everything she’s undergone she puts herself first.
The putting on a show ‘for the people’ can wait.

(Never mind, that we now know it’s this same family that, according to court depositions, have sanctioned their staff to work with the MOS against Meghan.)

      • Maria says:

        This, Jegede.
She made her point with the farewell tour and how amazing she looked there.
I don’t think either of them should go. But I don’t think it means anything if she isn’t beside him. Harry is strong and she has strengthened him so them being apart isn’t an issue.
In fact, it means more. Because her being there will help the people who hate her make money and get clicks!! Why should she have to help their revenue stream? She’s made her point and now she’s turned her back on them. That’s how you do it.

  18. Cecilia says:

This is ridiculous. The sussexes said just a few weeks ago that any assumptions about this summer travel plans are presumptuous and every thing depends on the pandemic.

Buckingham palace really didn’t like that viral tweet that called them an evil family. That combined with kates tone-deafness makes up for another round of meghan bashing.

Since william is now all of a sudden the patron saint of anti-racism maybe he should start with calling out this pattern.

    • Over it says:

      What tweet was that?

      • Sid says:

I believe Cecilia might be referencing the tweet where someone put a closeup photo of Meghan at her wedding side by side with an artist’s (lovely) cartoon rendition of the shot, and said something like the story is that the princess came and saved the prince from his wicked family. The tweet had over 300,000 likes and so many retweets last I saw.

  19. TheOriginalMia says:

They really can’t decide if they want her there or not. She’d make them bank by appearing, but they know they can still write crap stories about her and people will read them. I doubt Harry or Meghan will be traveling to the UK because of the C19-variant. I know Harry wants to be there for the unveiling, but if he can’t, he can’t. Unlike William & the rest of the BRF, he won’t break the rules to attend. Or maybe he will, but I seriously don’t see Meghan coming back anytime soon.

    • ArtHistorian says:

I think the press want her there but that the RF don’t.

      • lanne says:

Her overshadowing them is their fault. Had they treated her like a family member instead of like a usurper, they wouldn’t be in this situation

      • Nyro says:

Even after Diana, these clowns still don’t realize that being their opposition and behind despised by them makes that person more of a star. Outside of Little Britain royalists, no one admires them and they don’t understand that. People loved Diana because of her own personal magic and the fact that she made them look small and that she told them to go F themselves. No one cared that she was “The Princess of Wales”.

      • ArtHistorian says:

They don’t understand because they are entrenched in a bubble of insane privilege, surrounded by sycophants who defer to the hierarchy of rank. So I don’t think that they understand that the rest of the world doesn’t function like that. On a fundamental level they cannot understand why public interest/popularity doesn’t follow rank because inside their world rank is everything and it rules everything. They are so completely out of touch that they cannot understand that most people don’t care about rank (unless these people are snobbish social climbers or fellow royals/aristocrats who are a small minority). They’ll never understand this and that is why they’ll always be threatened when a RF member of lower rank (especially someone who married in) becomes more popular than the “top brass”.

      • Maria says:

And the RF probably thinks once they get him “alone” they can “reason” with him.
They are wrong and will find that out if this happens.

  20. Amy Bee says:

Harry and Meghan already said two weeks ago that they don’t know when they will visit the UK due to COVID. The Palace no longer speaks for them so it’s not their place to speculate on that. What is clear is that they don’t want Meghan to visit because they’re afraid she will overshadow the rest of the family. Part of me wants her to go back just so she does overshadow them but I know that her presence will give the Royal Family license to brief against her and the media will only attack her while she’s there. If Harry does decide to travel, I can see him just going to the Hague and then going back to the US.

    • Chica says:

No one talks about how all this will look to Archie when he gets older. I cannot imagine he would ever want anything to do with these people once he’s old enough to read and find info on the internet.

  21. Nic919 says:

I don’t see Harry doing any overseas travelling this year except for Invictus, if that still goes ahead. He is not going to travel for a damn statue, especially with the risk of getting covid while travelling and all the quarantine restrictions.

I strongly suspect that part of why they keep excluding Meghan from travel plans is because they think she is pregnant again based on the trial adjournment that was easily obtained and done for “private and personal” reasons. Also they are racist fools so I won’t discount that either.

    • Amy Bee says:

The press was saying that Meghan was never returning to the UK since they left in March 2020. I think that’s because they know how bad the Royal Family treated Meghan.

    • tcbc says:

And if Meghan is pregnant, I can’t see him leaving her regardless of the COVID situation.

      • PrincessK says:

Well, I didn’t want to say anything but I think that reason is nearer to the truth. But I feel that Harry is going to be really torn having to leave Meghan and Archie which looks like for two weeks or so. But I do think that Meghan will visit the U.K in 2021.

  22. L4frimaire says:

When I first read this story and the nasty speculation, calling Meghan self-indulgent if she doesn’t come, but saying she’ll cause drama if she does, it really just bummed me out. It was just so nasty in tone and just setting her up for more attacks no matter what happens. They just can’t stop with the attacks or just hit the pause button. They press/ courtiers just continue to rile everyone up over there because they think it benefits them to constantly attack and belittle a Black woman. It’s so messed up.

    • Nyro says:

And they’re so stupid because they don’t realize how idiotic they look thinking that Meghan “snubbing” or “overshadowing” the royal family hurts her in any way! It makes her a “bad bitch” and that’s a good thing. They are so out of step culturally that they don’t even understand that they’re actually building her up. It reminds me of how right wing media thought Obama’s friendships with people like Jay Z and Dave Chappelle would damage him, lol. Kate the mute and Aryan obedient duchess has zero cultural capital. None. They just don’t get it. If Meghan shows up with a bad ass outfit , on the balcony beaming, you’re gonna see nothing but “Meghan won” memes.

      • Chica says:

For the memes alone, I’d love to see her there, but I’d also rather she gives them nothing because they’re undeserving of her presence.

  23. Oy_Hey says:

this is hysterical. We don’t want her here but how dare she think she can tell us she’s not coming.
The insane amount of cognitive dissonance.
I hope she tells them nothing and keeps them on edge to the last possible second.
Also who’s to say Harry will even want to deal with all this if his wife can’t/won’t come. Like isn’t that why he got her and their son out of there in the first place?

    Baby on board!!

    • Vavavoom says:

As much as I dislike speculating on pregnancy. I think this is true, too. The last photo I saw of them in December (which I can’t find!) showed her in a long coat and I had thoughts….. 😀

  25. aquarius64 says:

I think Meghan should go back with Harry for the Diana dedication and the other events. She was blocked from the first one and she should go with her head held high. She is HRH the Duchess of Sussex, Princess of the United Kingdom, mother of the 7th in line to the throne. If certain Windsors have a problem with it that’s on them. The BRF is afraid the knives will be out outside the UK press – especially in the US.

  26. I think , if Meghan is to come back, it is just to spite them all. Kate would look like a wallflower because Meghan will take all the spotlight away from her. The world has missed the sight and glamour of Meghan and when she does visit the UK the global press coverage will just be phenomenal. So eat your heart out, Kate and William. You too, Royal Rota. The biracial Duchess is out to take you all by storm. You can just feel her immense power .

  27. Meg says:

Woah the thumbnail pic used for this story- meghan looks gorgeous

  28. Nyro says:

No one knows what their plans are. But the best thing is that it doesn’t even matter if she goes or not. Whether she’s in London for the events or if she’s at home in Montecito, it will all be about her. She will be the story, period. I love it. Lol

  29. RoyalBlue says:

Look at Edward and Sophie. Fully complicit.

  30. Over it says:

Why is Meghan coming with Harry’mher husband supposed to bring drama or headache?it’s like these people want her to understand they don’t want her only Harry. In the famous words of Kaiser, bitches please, she already rejected your racist colonialists asses. Furthermore why is Harry supposed to want to see a petty bitch that denied his wreath request and let it be known that she did it, or a father who let the world believe that he was still financially supporting them for a good portion of last year when he knew they stopped talking money from him when they left and a brother who did everything and is still doing all he can to destroy Harry and his young family? Why on earth would Harry be eager to return to these lovely family members?

  31. Amelie says:

This whole story is stupid. The UK has very strict travel restrictions right now. I know in France they just tightened restrictions by a LOT–you’re basically not allowed to travel in unless you’re a citizen or coming in from the EU and you need a special form and special circumstances for flying in and out. The entire country (France, not England) is on a 6 PM-6 AM curfew right now. My friend who was supposed to travel back to London after the holidays moved her travel date to March due to all the restrictions that came out when the stories of the UK variant of COVID started circulating.

The situation may be different in June but who knows where CA will be with vaccines at that point. If things are functioning totally normally by this summer (which I highly doubt), it’s anyone’s guess what they decide to do. But thanks to the press, Meghan’s absence or presence will loom large no matter what. This quote in particular made me LOL: “‘If Meghan comes back, the feeling is that it would overshadow the occasion. People would only be looking at the ‘drama’ of it all. Of course she would be welcome, but a decision not to come would postpone that headache for a while at least.’ Basically, she is welcome to come but they also don’t want her to come because it would be a headache for everyone. The press/BRF can’t figure out exactly what it is they want. What a word salad!!!!

I mean…I could have told them that lol . that family is alot.

  33. equality says:

Even if most people are vaccinated by that point and things are getting back to normal, having a big royal birthday celebration seems kind of tone deaf. People will probably still be recovering from the economic downturn and looking for new jobs or just recovering from the over-work and stress in many cases.

  34. GuestwithCat says:

Hot damn! She sure was a serene Royal highness during her last trip to England. She’s the only one who looks truly regal and royal and classy in that group.

Even if you suddenly photoshopped them all in rags, she would be the only one who would look out of place in rags, while the rest could pass as extras in the barn and pub scenes in “All Creatures Great and Small” that I’m watching now.

I’m not putting her on a pedestal. She’s an actress and I’ve seen her look almost “tarty” even, for some of her work when the occasion calls for it. But when the occasion calls for class and dignity and what I in the peanut gallery would imagine “royal bearing” should entail, she delivers, as if born to it.

She was really channeling Doria there. Doria also has incredibly royal bearing that is a stark contrast to the reality of her being a regular person like the rest of us. And Meghan was also exuding Diana levels of charisma.

It just goes to show all this Monarchy stuff is smoke and mirrors.

The rest of them might have some obscure protocol and manners and rules memorized but there is nothing within any of them that sets them apart from ordinary people. William and Kate are actually sub par, considering the considerable contributions most ordinary people make to society without taking much back in return.

  35. Louise177 says:

If Harry goes so will Meghan. It would be a bigger deal if she doesn’t. Besides she does have charities that she works with in England. I’m sure she would want to see them in person. That is if travel restrictions eases. If not I doubt Harry would go with or without them.

    • Julia K says:

Darn right it is “unlikely” that she will go. After all the hateful comments; (leave, you’re not wanted here, get out, no one wants you), she did just that and left. Now the haters are whining that she’s not coming back! And if she does, they will make her visit hell. Would you go? I sure wouldn’t.

  36. Jegede says:

I can understand Harry going to see Philip, for what could be his last birthday.

With the more and more I hear of the Windsor machinations against Meghan – and now they’re even helping the MOS case against her,😟😟 – I hope she & Archie stay away.
Forever. Deprive them of all access.

The Sussex marriage can survive a week apart. Many others do.

    • Chica says:

The way they have treated her, and the way how they clearly openly hate her , I fear for her safety and life. It would take nothing for them to find some stupid person to pay off to cause a car or some
other other tragic accident to happen

      • Nyro says:

This is how most people feel. You’d think someone in one of those palaces would have some sense of how the public actually views the royal family. The fact is, they don’t even have to do anything. Because if Meghan even gets into a simple fender bender, it’s going to send everyone’s minds straight to poor Diana and the theories surrounding her death.

  37. VIV says:

Right, because Megan was the problem at the Commonwealth Services…. delusional. Provided travel is even possible then I hope Harry goes to any family event he wants to go to, ignores the shady suspects while at them, has some high profile charity visits, and then skips out on any public events he might be asked to attend.

  38. Jay says:

Ha! “He will almost certainly decide to travel…” Sure, just keep waiting by the phone, Betty. Maybe he’ll call.

  39. Ania says:

I wish they are speculating till the last moment and then Harry and Meghan make an appearance with big belly or already tiny baby in Montecito…. and nobody talks about the windsors business for a month😈

  40. Moxylady says:

This is what we do for important family events. My family is toxic on a whole other level and honestly a lot of what Harry and Meghan are going through hits a very personal note with me. Anyway. I go so mr moxy can stay with the kiddos and not disrupt their lives. Because my family isn’t worth that. I travel in and out either same day or close to it. But since covid ….. I doubt we will even do that anymore. Sometimes no contact is the best contact.
