As long as my bootcut jeans are ultra-high waist, sounds good. I just gave away my last pair of bootcut jeans because they didn’t go high enough to stay up. Now that I know the joy of not pulling my pants up all the time, I will never go back.
Right there with you. I used to only buy Abercrombie bootcut jeans for the longest time back in high school and college. I sold them all on Poshmark because I am over low rise and even mid rise. High rise till I die.

I’ve always been an off center part girl, but that’s probably because I AM off center lol. As for the rest, since the late 80s, I’m of the mindset that everything is in if it’s gone through a primary cycle and we can, and should, wear whatever we love. If something has never had a primary cycle (I honestly can’t think of anything right now), then kudos. Go for it. I hate high-waisted, mom, anything as well as extremely low cut, so I’m somewhere between. I love flairs and skinny so I have and wear both. Paying close attention to rules and what’s in and out gives me tics and goes against everything in my world lol.
Cool take. I hope the next new “primary cycle” trend (what could it be, tho? if it hasn’t ever been done!) is something we love, not something totally stupid like…I don’t know. Leg-of-mutton sleeves in the 1800’s got pretty ridiculous. Same for those extra-wide-leg elephant pants for teens in the late 1990’s/Y2K era. (My kid had to have ’em—one pair took up an entire load of laundry, just on its own!)
