Will Duchess Meghan end up suing Piers Morgan for his asinine harassment?

The Wimbledon Championships 2019

In our new Gossip with Celebitchy podcast, CB and I chatted about gross stalker Piers Morgan and his activities this week regarding his incessant blathering about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. I mentioned to CB that while Piers was discussing his dismissal from ITV with Tucker Carlson, Piers looked like he was about orgasm when he described how Meghan had complained about his behavior to his ITV boss. After all of these years, he finally got a “reaction” from Meghan and that’s what all of this has been about. “Look at me, Meghan, pay attention to meeeee, acknowledge me!!” For that reason alone, I wonder if Meghan will just continue on with her life, and remain utterly unbothered by Piers’ desperation and insanity. But at least one royal commentator believes that Meghan will likely sue Piers or something.

Meghan Markle will likely “fight back” against Piers Morgan for calling her a liar — and possibly use her “very aggressive legal team” to try to shut him up, a royal biographer has predicted. The 39-year-old duchess already filed a formal complaint about Morgan over his outbursts while hosting “Good Morning Britain” — a job he chose to quit over apologizing for his comments.

Now, Markle will likely get her lawyers to “try to get the better of him” as he continues a media blitz accusing her of telling “ridiculous whoppers” during her famous TV tell-all with Oprah Winfrey, biographer Angela Levin predicted on TalkRADIO Wednesday.

“She is a very determined woman. Heavily pregnant or not, she will want to fight back,” insisted Levin, who penned her last book, “Harry: Conversations with the Prince,” in 2018.

“Piers is a brave man, but let’s wait and see … I imagine the lawyers are still working out if there is a sentence or a verb or something that Piers said that they could jump on,” she told interviewer Mike Graham, noting the duchess’ previous lawsuits. Levin said the former friends were now engaged in a “verbal boxing match.”

“They have one thing in common … neither of them likes to lose,” Levin said. “So they carry on bashing away.”

[From Page Six]

It’s not a “verbal boxing match” and describing it that way is gaslighting a victim of one of the most disturbing instances of public stalking, bullying and harassment I’ve ever seen. By most accounts, Meghan met Piers exactly one time in 2016, when she was likely doing press for Suits in London. She’s never spoken to him since and the only time she acknowledged his existence was when she filed complaints with his ITV boss and Ofcom last month. In the five years between those two acknowledgements of his existence, Piers has harassed her on-air nearly every single weekday, he’s tweeted about her constantly, he’s written smears about her in the Daily Mail, he’s paid her father to read unhinged scripts about her, and now he’s going on American TV shows to lie about her. It’s not a matter of “will Meghan sue him.” It’s a matter of “I hope she gets a restraining order against him.”

Miserable cow Levin strikes again. Why anyone pays her for commentary I don’t know. Harry needs to get a restraining order against her. She really thinks she has a “relationship” with him, just as PM thinks he has. “Relationship” with Meghan. Someone needs to tell both of their sorry asses that 1 meeting years ago does not equal relationship.

    • BABSORIG says:

Exactly. Why is that cow Levin acting like she knows Harry and Meg personally? 🙄🙄🙄 Levin is such an insufferable witch. Maybe Harry will file a restraining order against HER?(Levin)? She acts like a jilted lover on everything Harry. I believe Levin hates Meghan because Harry fell in love and married her instead of Levin. Levin might have thought following Harry around for a couple of months translated into Harry being in love with her, my goodness. She is such a stalkish cow.🐄🐄

    • PEARL GREY says:

Angela Levin comes across like certified Harry fan girl who can’t handle rejection. Something she has in common with a lot of the rota rats.

The fact that Piers Morgan has been allowed to relentlessly harass, stalk, bully and malign Meghan in public for over four years is testament to the palace-approved media campaign against her, and the general acceptance of misogyny is astounding.

  2. Ennn says:

    Piers’ behaviour is so disturbing!

    • Me says:

He’s also not an AmCit and should be barred from entering the United States. The rest of the RRs are nasty, but chiefly in it for money and the kind of notoriety that can breed money—this guy is an obsessed psycho.

    • SenseOfTheAbsurd says:

I wonder if after the 2016 meeting somebody did Meghan a solid and warned her off PM, because phone hacking and ethics violations.

      • lanne says:

Probably Harry did himself. She would have been a fool to keep in contact with him—that would have likely broken them up

  3. Watson says:

It’s not a verbal boxing match if she doesn’t communicate with him.

    • Exactly WATSON. Levine is fly fishing against a JEDI master. And Morgan is wet dreaming that Meghan will come after him. Harry’s already involved in a class action suit with Morgan. I just don’t think Meghan will engage Piers crazy-time shit. Meghan filed a complaint because she and Harry are staunch mental health advocates and Morgan went way too far and Meghan nailed ITV. Morgan, Levine, et al are desperate for her to come after him personally and I think she is way too smart for that BS.

  4. Tiffany says:

It amazes me, still to this day, that this jackhole not only thought he had a chance with someone of Meghan’s stature, but that he thought he was even close to being a equal to Harry.

Mediocre men really do have the largest egos.

    • TigerMcQueen says:

The pandemic and working remotely exposed who in our office was contributing, and who wasn’t. Spoiler: the women worked our asses off and the white men (most with higher titles) turned out to not actually do much on a day-to-day basis. When budget cuts were made, the white men were let go, but the main point is the women realized we’d been gaslit for years by most of these dudes.

We learned our lesson and our worth. And we now have a rule we go by:

“Go into every meeting with the confidence of a mediocre white male”

“Ask for that raise with the confidence of a mediocre white male”

“Tell technology you need a better latop with the confidence of a mediocre white male”

It’s been very good for our mental health.

    • MerlinsMom1018 says:

      @Tiffany
Reminds me of those cats here in Texas who drive 4 wheel trucks with tires the size of a small country.
      Over compensation, much???

    • And sport the tiniest “wood” usually.

  5. ennie says:

Oddly, I think that’s what he wants.
He would feel acknowledged. I think it is better to ignore him, he looks crazy as it is. If it Becomes harmful for their children, then let’s go get him.

    • superashes says:

I think so too. If she engages with him in any way, it is just going to incentivize him to do more, that is why she will do nothing and remain unbothered (or, at least, maintain the appearance of being unbothered),

    • damejudi says:

      Totally agree.

Right now PM is shouting in the wind, but if she sues, it’s engaging with the narcissist.

      He really needs to STFU.

  6. TheOriginalMia says:

He would be orgasmic to be in the same courtroom as her. Eww! That said I doubt she sues him. Her complaint was about downplaying mental distress. Not so much about her, but about how his actions might harm those in need, who won’t seek help due to being disbelieved.

Piers is a stalker. He’s unhinged in his obsession and hatred of Meghan. Any organization involving themselves with him will do so at their own liability and risk. He’s going to go too far one of these days. Unfortunately, he’s still got room for more stalkerish behavior.

    • Louise177 says:

I agree that Meghan complained only because he downplayed her mental health. This could effect others not just Meghan. I think the only way she sues if he says or do something she could win. So far Piers could play it off as his opinion. If he says or does something that she could legally challenge or puts her or the kids in danger than definitely. I wish people would stop reporting them as friends. Piers even said they met once or twice and it was in a business setting not personal. It’s annoying tabloids keep saying she ghosted him.

  7. Cecilia says:

Tho is wish she would, she most likely won’t. And it also kind of pleases me to know she doesn’t really acknowledges his existence

  8. Merricat says:

It’s a real decision to make—Morgan is obsessed with Meghan, and it’s hard to know whether a restraining order would help or aggravate the situation. The instinct is to fight back, perhaps in court, but might that feed the monster? His aggression is weird, and frightening, as well. Maybe tie him up in court and stay safely in the U.S.

  9. Lauren says:

PM has said plenty that Meghan’s lawyer could jump on. If Meghan wanted she could have sued his behind years ago, but she doesn’t engage on purpose. PM still doesn’t understand that Meghan’s complaint wasn’t about him personally and of course I wouldn’t expect idiots like Levin or PM to get it. I still cannot get over the donkey sanctuary.

  10. Snuffles says:

No, just suffocate him with silence.

    • Tiffany says:

This man has a wife and children he doesn’t seem to give a damn about embarrassing on a international level. I feel for the children.

  11. Becks1 says:

His obsession with Meghan is his downfall – I don’t think she’s going to sue him at this point, but I do think her people are tracking what he says. But he’s overplayed his hand IMO. His obsession is obvious to the world now and more and more people are calling him out on it. I think he thinks he may be able to get a job on American TV where he can trash Meghan all the time, and no one is going to hire him for that. He’s unhinged when it comes to her and it seems that he is incapable of toning it down – and I think that’s a problem for his future career prospects.

    • notasugarhere says:

I think his whole stomping out bit was to get out of any contract, w/o having to pay anything back or be required to wait months before signing elsewhere. He and Wootten seem to be competing for top spot at some new vile ‘network’.

      • Saucy&Sassy says:

notasugarhere, that’ what I keep thinking: They’re competing for the same top spot on Rupert Murdock’s new “news” program. I guess the most unhinged between them will get that spot.

      • notasugarhere says:

Perhaps Murdoch will like them both so much, he’ll have Wootten in the UK and Morgan in a US-facing version.

  12. Osty says:

Stalker piers will love that , cos it will mean at long last Meghan has given him her time something the man child craves so much. So I say Meghan please ignore him, continue to live your life and be successful. That will hurt him more

  13. nicegirl says:

    Horrid pig

  14. M says:

This is a sunk cost fallacy for PM at this point. He invested with some mediocre outside returns in the past (her families attention, some press attention, some negative public opinion towards her) but he’s never obtained the goal, Megan’s attention. But he’s so deeply and thoroughly invested, his name is now synonymous with being her abuser, that I’m certain he feels the need to see it through until he ‘breaks even’ at minimum or comes out ahead. Her suing/getting a restraining order would be sufficient attention to appease him. Therefore she shouldn’t. The good news is with any investment that keeps costing you with mere marginal gains and continuous losses, eventually you go broke. He’s not far now you guys. She will win by doing nothing. He’s lit himself on fire.

  15. Angel says:

Let’s hope so ! He is a bully and bullies never stop until they are held accountable for their actions. She needs to sue him.

  16. betsyh says:

First, Morgan did not quit. That theatrical scene on air was obviously the network letting him save face. They pushed him out. Second, he is obsessed and he won’t quit until he can take her down.

  17. S808 says:

He’d cream his pants from the attention from her even if only to serve a lawsuit. She should keep on ignoring him. We all see him for what he is and what he’s trying to do. I saw a thread where he has done this to other female celebrities as well until they agree to have an interview with him. Then he switches to praise. He just wants a response from her. She should not give him anything. I’m glad he wasn’t mentioned at all in the interview.

  18. Amy Bee says:

The royal commentator is the unhinged Angela Levin who has a fixation about Harry and believes in all the crazy conspiracy theories about Meghan. I think she wants Meghan to sue Piers Morgan but I don’t think it will happen. Even in complaining about him comments on TV following the Oprah interview, Meghan talked the impact of them on the public’s mental health rather than about herself. So he can believe that it was an acknowledgement but it really wasn’t and I hope she continues to ignore him.

  19. PC says:

It’s not a verbal boxing match as Meghan has never responded to him. Levin is moron. I hope Meghan takes out a restraining order

  20. Deputy Dot says:

Levin is deluded referring to them as ‘former friends’. They were only ever friends in PM’s fevered imagination.

  21. Marla Singer says:

She should. He is harassing her. He is a horrible lil poop stain that needs to STFU

  22. Sofia says:

He wants her attention so I think it’s best that Meghan continues to ignore him.

  23. ElleEagle says:

“looked like he was about to orgasm” Did MichaelD ghostwrite this post? Ha

MM keeps PM in the “news” but that is not a career. His rants are reminiscent of old-school edgy, H.Stern (who invented it-fight me) – sadly for him, he comes off as angry old Don Imus instead. PM has no future in entertainment or news broadcasting. He doesn’t have the chops to conduct a 4-minute interview, of anyone, about anything.

20 years from now, MM will still be the Duchess of Sussex, still be in the history books as the self-made activist that Grace Kelly didn’t have the freedom to be, before or after her royal marriage, and PM, if anyone remembers him at all, will be the guy best known for his sweet reaction to Susan Boyle on BGT,. Mark my words.

    • Lady D says:

That show was my introduction to PM. The look on his face when Susan walked on stage was a mixture of amusement, contempt and derision and it only got worse when Susan started talking. I disliked him the minute I saw him and I had no idea who he was.
When Susan Boyle started singing, WOW! I was so happy for her by the end, I was crying. Such a success story, and I’m glad it happened to her. I’m going to go watch that video again.

  24. bettyrose says:

Don’t know why, but I feel compelled to mention here that I’m really enjoying my Clevr Blends coffee superlatte this AM. Nice and frothed.

    • Liz version 700 says:

I want to order that so badly. Do you have to have an expression maker?

      • Lady D says:

You can actually buy a small plug in or electronic wand that will froth your drink for you without the giant machine. I’m sure Ebay, Etsy, etc., will have them.
(I was going to say I use my face for an expression maker, but I know it was just a typo and I’m probably not as funny as I think I am.)

      • bettyrose says:

I have a stovetop espresso maker, which is how I usually make coffee in the morning, but I’m having so much fun with Clevrblends. I got the “starter pack” with two varieties (coffee and chai) along with the frother. It’s made by adding hot water and frothing. It’s not as potent as espresso. It’s more like drinking tea with a nice frothy consistency. I usually have the coffee blend first and then a chai blend late morning/early afternoon.

    • Jais says:

I just drank mine this morning for the first time! The coffee super latte. It was v rich and yummy. I’m used to drinking coffee w just a splash of milk so it felt like a dessert actually. There might also have been an embarrassing moment with the frother and coffee on the walls.

  25. lucy2 says:

There is NOTHING brave about him. He’s a bigot and a bully, and often targets women, especially women of color, knowing he can stir up more bigots too.

  26. Lizzie says:

I agree with all above who think a restraining order is what is needed. However I think it would be extremely hard to get because he will claim journalist, however laughable. I think she is waiting for a veiled threat.

  27. Piers Morgan said messages of gratitude were sent to him by members of the royal family and he didn’t name names. Now he did and he’s thrown Fergie under the bus by saying that she was the royal who was grateful to him in his campaign against Meghan. The British media picked it up and are now toting Fergie as the royal who sent Morgan that message of gratitude. If it were true that it was Fergie though, this Morgan has to be reminded that what he said was “members of the royal family “ and not “a member of the royal family.” So now can he tell the public who these members are? Poor Fergie. Morgan made her a scapegoat. But Piers you didn’t fool the public. Prove you’re not a big time liar … Name them !

  28. A Guest says:

Word on the streets was that this idiot recieved a letter from M’s lawyers last summer and went radio silent for a few months as a result. He turned his fire on the UK gov’t and his buddy Trump about COVID and got some of his followers back.

Her victory over the DM sent him over the edge again as did the interview.

  29. Julia K says:

But Fergie is not a member of the royal family is she? Divorced with no HRH. Cut out cold by Philip. No invite to Wm wedding. Despised by Charles and Anne. Is she taking the fall for someone else? Andrew maybe? Camilla?

    • notasugarhere says:

LOL at the idea of Fergie taking a fall for Camilla. As if. Andrew would never do anything to support Charles in that way.

  30. Amy Too says:

I find it disturbing that so many of us, including me, are feeling like she needs to consider whether she’s accidentally doing something that he wants if she sues him or takes any action. What about what SHE wants though? He IS harassing her. He IS making her life more dangerous. He IS basically stalking her. He IS attempting to ruin her reputation and has succeeded at least with some people, even though we all like to say that her reputation isn’t *really* ruined and those crazy people are a loud but tiny minority. She probably DOES feel unsafe and worried. She has to constantly monitor, or have her people monitor, what this man is saying and doing. The courts, lawsuits, restraining orders exist for this sort of situation. He is unhinged. But instead we’re all worried that he might actually enjoy the “attention” from her, so she should just remain silent and ignore him. It just feels wrong to me. Like it’s on par with saying that people who are being bullied shouldn’t show that it upsets them or report it, because that’s just giving the bully a reaction which is what they want. I guess I’m sad that this is the world we live in where that likely is the most prudent choice to make, but it’s not right.

    • Shawna says:

      Well said.

    • LaraW” says:

Piers isn’t worth the legal fees. Even if she sued and won, he certainly doesn’t have enough assets to pay her attorney costs. There’s more danger to Meghan if she pursues litigation because she’d be exposed to discovery. And it’s best she doesn’t acknowledge Piers at all because he would take any excuse to sue her in an attempt to open discovery. Even with a judge putting everything under a protective order, Piers would flagrantly break it. Which would lead to severe monetary sanctions, but the information would be out there already.

What Meghan is doing right now is, unfortunately, the best way to go. Now, if Piers crosses the line and commits a felony— different story.

  31. Tessa says:

This is like Jackie Kennedy’s issues with photographer Ron Galella who followed her around taking pictures. Piers goes in for slamming Meghan. Finally Jackie had to take Gallela to court.

  32. JaneDoe says:

I honestly think Piers went on Tucker Carlson to show Meghan that he’d followed her to the States. I think he’s trying for a 2nd time to get a foothold in the US for JUST that reason.
    Sick f*ck.

  33. Feebee says:

I don’t know who this woman Angela Levin is but she sounds like an idiot. They were never friends and there’s no verbal sparring match going on, it’s simply Piers blowassing to as many people as will have him.

I don’t know what, if any legal remedy there could be especially between the UK’s and the US’s different laws but probably the best thing is to ignore him. Or grab him off the street, stick a bag over his head….. oh, no, I’ve watched too much TV….

  34. aquarius64 says:

I think if Meghan deals with this sicko she will wait until the baby is born. And it would have to be something big like sexual harassment :

  35. I think the British media is baiting Meghan to sue Piers. They want to milk the circus if it comes to a full-on lawsuit and exact revenge. This is where Meghan is being lured into by the British media.

  36. Well Wisher says:

They never met. Trusty twitter users found tweets affirming the fact.
She does not have to sue him, her husband joined the collective lawsuit against the daily mirror while Piss was editor.
Dignified silence was eloquently used in response to this crude man behaviour towards Meghan, even in the complaint against him was on behalf of the viewer who might think otherwise than seek help in a similar situation.
Her response to him was if she was a person of higher social status from birth, that caused his eventual downfall.
