I was devastated about Prodigal Son! It’s silly but it’s super enjoyable and I loved the cast!
I didnt think it was that good. The trailer was so horrible. It was so overplayed, I thought it was a joke. Might give it a try then…
We tried it. We lasted 1 – 2 episodes. I love Sheen, and the lead actor was crazy cute. I also loved “Mellie” from Scandal on it as the mother. But the writing was so cheesy. 🙁

I do too. I liked the addition of Catherine Zeta-Jones as a foil to Michael Sheen and I was hoping they would have a scene where they just start speaking Welsh to each other for no good reason (just because both of them are bonkers geniuses). lol
I agree. There are so many ways the show can go.
Fox has a history of cancelling good shows, sometimes not even rating dependent, and keeping the awful shows (That are often a ratings drain!)
To this day it is a miracle that The X Files survived its first season. Very un-Fox like, thankfully.
Yep, like Lucifer, which is about to air its final season on Netflix…yay.
I really liked the first half of season one of PS, which was filmed of course before the show aired. When the back half of season one came out, it felt like they lost the relatively good story-telling and interpersonal relationships in favor of really contrived crimes of the week like the ballet murderer and the whole Count of Monte Cristo episode.
I’ve read a couple of places that it’s cancelled because Michael Sheen was quitting, and it’s not much of a show without him.
They could have had Bright kill him and deal with the fallout. And he would have been 1 kill away from a serial killer so he would have to grapple with that.

Yes! I recommend watching Staged to everyone. So funny, and I definitely felt Sheen’s charisma. Originally watched to fangirl Tennant, but it ended up being competing, coexisting crushes.
