While the Windsors made news over the past three days because of the G7 Summit, it felt like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were trying to Sussexit out of the week-long newscycle about Lilibet Diana’s name. Dusty Saltine Island spent all of last week throwing a steady succession of hissy fits about the name, but the statements from the Sussexes ended last Wednesday. They said their piece: they informed the Queen about Lili’s name before the birth announcement two Sundays ago. I have to think Harry and Meghan are just throwing up their hands about how the Saltines freak out about everything at this point. I hope they’re just enjoying their babies and not paying attention to the drama anymore.
A few days ago, Us Weekly’s sources claimed that Meghan and Harry are actually trying to keep things civil with the Windsors, which I believe. As CB and I discussed in this week’s Gossip with Celebitchy podcast, it’s not like Harry and Meghan can predict which thing, which statement will lead to hundreds of negative articles at this point. A source told Us Weekly: “It’s no secret that the last year Harry and Meghan have been at war with the royals. All is not forgiven, but after all the backlash regarding their interviews — which by the way, the pair have no regrets about — they’re trying their utmost to maintain a good relationship with the queen in order to keep the peace.” I have a theory about this! I think H&M are trying to keep the peace with Liz. I also think the courtiers are actively trying to drive a wedge between H&M and the rest of the family. Clownshow vibez.
As for whether we’ll ever get a photo of Lilibet Diana, some people have suggested that they might post a photo on the Archewell site for Father’s Day this coming weekend. Another option might be selling the first photo and donating the proceeds to charity. That’s what royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes will happen. He told the Express: “I think it very likely that Harry and Meghan will release a photo or photos of Lili to the world’s press in a way which will benefit one or more of the charitable causes they espouse. Their weeks of leave is certain to exclude certain charitable activities if they see a chance to promote causes they support.” Yeah, I actually agree. They did that “Christmas card” painting to benefit Meghan’s patronage, and I could totally see them doing something similar in a few weeks or months.

Any abusive institution/entity/person hates daylight. H&M have nudged open the curtains and everyone inside is trying to yank them back closed. Too late.
I can’t imagine how the cruelty affects H&M, but I suspect that the more the monarchy doubles down and continues to empower the worst among them, the quicker they are bringing about their own downfall. That’s how this works.
If anything became clear about this desperate “row” over Lili Diana’s name its that the courtiers are getting desperate and losing their ish over not being able to exert any control on the sussexes. The whole institution is a sinking ship and they know it too.
This is a made up story. These palace experts, close sources etc. etc. make assumptions, presumptions, and suggestions and the BM pass them off as truths al in the name of making a buck. Sick of all of them.
I love Meghan and Harry. The weeks after having a baby are so hard emotionally. Hormones are so turbulent and challenging even under the best of circumstances. I hate that they are doing this to her. I hate that they have to navigate this whole hormonal and dealing with sibling interactions which are usually a bit rough and just everything that a second child brings – even the immense joy and the most perfect moments – with these cruel people being so relentless to spoil anything they can.
I dearly hope they took off all social media, have a legal team watching it and they are just being a family, completely oblivious to all of this. It’s too much. It’s just too too much. I will never forgive them for doing this to Harry and Meghan after all they have been through.
I don’t think the RF and BM want to acknowledge that nothing they do really matters to H&M at this point. They have a new family, a new home on the other side of the planet, new businesses and projects, the foundation, friends and connections. Whether Kate wears this, William says that, Charles wants the other – none of that is important or relevant to their life now.
This might sound strange, and im not giving the old lady a pass, but i still think that harry is one of the queens favorites. So things between the sussexes and the queen are good. Im sorry but “trying to keep the peace” sounds as if the relationship is strained, which is clearly isn’t or they wouldn’t have named their daughter after her.

Did you read that article over the weekend about how the monarchy has all the hallmarks of a cult? This is the cult trying to completely ostracize them from the remaining members. And being the mutha fuckin’ Queen herself apparently doesn’t exclude her either.
I live in the HQ of Scientology (Clearwater, FL) and I’ve seen so many families torn apart when one person blows (escapes) Scientology because of their No Contact rule once someone leaves. It’s heart breaking and reminds me of this.
Someone on here has made the comment a few times (I think they’re quoting something but not positive) about how the way you can tell a cult is what happens when you try to leave. And if this isn’t the best example of that….

I don’t think we will see official pictures ever released the way the Cambridges do which makes sense, we dont see portraits of other famous children, you know? But I do think there will be at least one picture of Lili released mainly in order to take some of the pressure off (in terms of the paparazzi who I’m sure are being super aggressive about trying to get the first picture.)

That makes sense. Paps do become dangerous when they are obsessive. Since they no longer have social media, the charity route is the next best thing for them.
I can see them doing what they did with Archie on mother’s and father’s day and release a hand or something. Or Lili’s face but partially covered.
Forgive me if i don’t believe a word the clown Richard Fitzwilliam says after he was rightly ousted as a phoney before the Oprah Interview. This entire royal “rota” and the “family’s” PR is a circus sh*t show, complete with clowns and acrobats jumping around trying to prove that they are legitimate journalists (lol as if).
There’s no getting away from the fact that Harry did something extraordinary in not just extricating himself from the RF, but in the way he did it. He could have been a weakling and let them devour Meghan, or kept his head down in California and let Meghan take the blame for the exit (in other words, follow the royal pattern), but he basically threw a grenade at the palace walls to escape.
There’s no coming back from this. Harry can “make peace” with his grandmother because she’s got one foot in the grave, but the rest is a lost cause. And the courtiers can try to detach Harry from the Queen, but if they do, so what? She’s only going to live a few more years and it’s not like Harry and Meghan need anything from her.
Please note that Richard Fitzwilliams was one of the royal commentators who gave comments on the Oprah interview before it even aired and he’s one of those idiots who believes that Meghan will run for President. So, probably not the best person to listen to on this issue.
I think, if there’s a picture, it will be posted on the Archewell website. It’s a good way to promote their Foundation and it ensures that they have control of the pictures. As for the charity angle, they’ve already asked people to donate to 4 charities in lieu of gifts so I think they will just repeat that.
And as for keeping peace, there’s no problem between Harry and Meghan and the Queen and I think that’s the only relationship they care about.
The fact that we haven’t seen mom or baby really calls out the bizarre tradition of making royal women appear in makeup and heels holding baby a minute after giving birth. It must be so physically uncomfortable and emotionally trying. Meghan must be feeling so grateful to not be forced into a repeat.

Harry loves his grandmother and separates his Gan Gan from the Queen & the Firm. The Grey Men are reminding me of the Imperial Household in Japanese that nearly drove Queen Masako insane with their rigidity. The Grey Men are unhinged and Charles would do well to fire most of them and start over with his reign.
I’m confused about the phrase “ selling “. When have they sold any pictures? I know they’ve released pictures through charities, which have given that charity more visibility and donations, but that is not selling it. I think that is a sneaky phrase thrown in there to imply the Sussexes want to profit. At this point ,I totally respect it if they choose not to show any pictures of Lilibet.

I wonder if H&M will restart their social media presence once his grandmother is no longer on the throne, whether that’s due to her passing, or her relinquishing it to Charles. I really think the only reason they’ve stayed off is due to her, and once she’s no longer Queen, all bets are gonna be off. I just don’t see Harry kowtowing to his father, and absolutely NEVER to his brother.

I heard that President Biden invited the Queen to the White House. I hope she comes. Then the Biden’s ask Harry and Megan. The queen meets privately with Harry & Meghan & Doria & the kids. Then have a photo of the family with the Queen. In my opinion

This tends to be their MO. Once they put out a statement from their spokesperson or their lawyers they tend to let it go(until a lawsuit is filed if any) while the palace and UK press hyperventilate for another week coming u0 with different excuses and plotlines. Its what happened with the birth certificate mess earlier this year and considering they’ve got a week old at home i wouldnt expect to hear anything else on this from them especially as the US press has moved on. Al Roker from the today show literally called the BBC embarrassing last Thursday after Harry’s lawyers got involved and i don’t think theyve covered the story since because honestly why would they?
Both Harry and Meghan lost the lottery on paternal families and gained supportive maternal figures and a ton of graciousness most people can only dream of.

I am not a betting woman, but my guess is they will give a photo of Archie (from behind), kissing his new sister (covering her face), and hopefully also in some sort of artistic version, like the Christmas photo. My guess is Harry and Meghan will give the announcement to one of Meghan’s charities that supports single moms, and I cannot wait for them to again give the middle finger to a bunch of royal reporters on the steps of a hospital, waiting for their literal pounds of flesh, in the form of a newborn baby photo.
They don’t owe anyone anything, of course, but I think they have shown that they will give a peep of a look, to benefit their charities.
