Prince William apparently demanded that Meghan not attend the statue-unveiling

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrate Anzac Day in London

As we know, the Duchess of Sussex will not be attending this fakakta statue unveiling on July 1st. Prince Harry is due to travel to the UK to unveil a statue of Princess Diana at Kensington Palace. We’ve also heard a rumor that because Meghan isn’t going, Kate probably won’t go either. Which I’m not sure I believe – I think Kate absolutely wants to be there with a fresh blowout and buttons galore, with all three Cambridge kids in tow. But maybe William has told her not to come because he doesn’t want Kate to make an ass out of herself and “steal” all of the attention away from him and his rage-engorgement. Because as we also know, William is absolutely unhinged. That’s the only way to describe the events of recent years. William is a bully, a coward, a douchebag and a rage-monster. Which makes this story completely believable, in that I totally buy that this is what William is telling people:

Prince William made it clear that he did not want Meghan Markle at the unveiling ceremony of the new Princess Diana statue. The ceremony is set to take place on July 1st, marking what would have been Princess Diana’s 60th birthday. Earlier this week, it was reaffirmed that Meghan Markle will not fly to London for the ceremony, following contradictory reports.

However, royal expert Charlotte Griffiths told MailPlus’ Palace Confidential that William played a part in this decision. She said: “This decision and this whole thing was 50 percent William. Diana is his mother too. He makes a point about that regularly behind closed doors. This was not the right time to bring Meghan in because there is so much tension between Wiliam and Meghan particularly.”

Richard Eden, the Mail’s diary editor, added that the official line from the Sussexes was that “they have a very young baby and it’s just not practical for them to be flying over as a family”.

He said: “It’s not a surprise because she wasn’t expected to attend. The day was always very much about Diana and her sons. They are the ones making the speeches. Can you imagine Meghan coming over after everything that has passed?”

Ms Griffiths noted: “In another world, you can imagine Meghan really looking forward to this visit. Her daughter’s middle name is Diana and it’s quite good for ‘brand Markle’. But how could she actually face up to it after everything that has happened?”

[From The Daily Express]

“How could she actually face up to it after everything that has happened?” Yes, how could Meghan face a family of racist colonizers who spent the better part of three years trying to oppress her, silence her, harm her, denigrate her and drive her to self-harm? And they’re acting like “how dare she even think of coming back after all of that!” But really, Harry made it clear that Meghan wasn’t coming. Only unhinged lunatics like royal commentators believe that a woman who just gave birth a few weeks ago would conceivably spend twelve hours on a flight just to stare down Baldemort’s simmering rage. Now the same Baldemort wants “credit” for keeping Meghan away. Like, he’s been telling people that he ordered her to stay away. What a nasty little wannabe dictator he is.

    What a lunatic.
She gave birth 2 weeks ago and all he does is attack. He’s a racist coward hiding behind the British establishment.

    • Truthiness says:

This is not a person who is fit to be a king.

      • Laugh or Cry says:

ITA, for years they’ve always said he needs Harry to help him lead. This was not said about any other heir. They must know and he may have showed signs in the past that he will be a Caligula in the making.

      • Ana Maria says:

he will be the end of monarchy

      • GrnieWnie says:

having grown up in the 1980s, I distinctly recall my grandmother telling my brother to stop acting like “Little Prince Wills, who always throws temper tantrums.”

      • BayTampaBay says:

“Like, he’s been telling people that he ordered her to stay away. ”

Of course Baldingham made the statement and gave the order because he KNEW Meghan was not coming!

      • Myra says:

I agree with the sentiment. If they don’t keep him in check now, it will be hard to do so later. He will be able to coast through pretty much any kind of scandal. It’s easy to see that the general public (UK only) is developing a kind of Stockholm Syndrome attitude towards him, that not even a divorce or cheating scandal could affect. Kind of how it was with Trump and it currently is with Johnson. They can pretty much survive any scandal.

      • BnlurNforever says:

@Myra, I agree that the UK is at the point where they will put up with anything from the royals, like they have been doing from the GOVT. It’s actually scary to witness and it’s like the powers that be in the UK are deliberately cultivating that attitude in the public and getting very little push back. You can see that there are many different players involved and the citizens just go along and those who knows better are just too exhausted to do other than a tweet or two. That’s how the monarchy will continue their reign of ineptitude. By exhausting the citizens to the point of apathy, we’re already there. If I wasn’t witnessing this in my lifetime I would be one of those people reading history books in a 100 or so years from now (if we survive) saying, how could they be so stupid?

      • Abby says:

Agree with y’all. He will be the end of the monarchy.

      • Nan says:

Co-sign too – he should not be king. And I hate that writer saying “her daughter’s middle name is Diana and it’s quite good for “brand Markle”.” Diana would have been Meghan’s legal mother-in-law and the baby’s actual grandmother so that writer needs to cut her tone of disrespect. Meghan married Prince Harry legally in front of the whole world and was titled Duchess of Sussex by the queen. Harry can name their baby after his mother if he wants, giving Meghan more right than almost anyone else on earth to agree to that name for “her daughter” too. The only “brand Markle” that exists was incited and fomented by British tabloids when they did everything in their powers to turn all the dysfunctional Markle relatives against Meghan when it was clear Prince Harry was serious about her.

      • Marjorie K. Margel says:

Definitely. But where did the need to be the center if attention come from?
        Charles!

      • BothSidesNow says:

@ Myra, I agree also, and everyone is right. TOB has no ability to control his anger, yet alone serving as king. Baldimort will ruin what is left of the monarchy and the commonwealth countries will gain independence, if not after the death of QEII, so the outcome of his reign will certainly ruin the monarchy. It may be a slow death, but it will come. Baldimort is too insecure, unstable and unhinged to even manage a charm offense in Scotland, yet alone being king.

      • Phoenix_Rising says:

He’s seriously going to implode, or explode at the rate he is going with his toxicity.

    • Cessily says:

I doubt any doctor would sign off on an overseas flight of that length for her or a newborn. Do they not have postpartum care in Britain? This isn’t new, women in the USA are not cleared to even drive themselves until the six weeks check up, with me I had to wait till four month before I was given medical clearance to drive myself. So everyone varies, but six weeks was the first bench mark appointment to start normal activities.
PW can dictate all he wants the man shows how ill educated he is even after three children. He has lost my respect, and if he wants people to remember he is also Diana’s son maybe he should act like it because right now he looks and acts nothing like his beloved Mother.

      • Cherbear says:

So, just FYI- women can drive waaaay before 6 weeks after giving birth in the US. Just so international friends don’t think otherwise. Like whenever they feel up to it afterward.
Source: I am a US physician who frequently works with postpartum women. Also, have had kids.

      • Drea says:

You have to remember that we don’t have maternal leave here in the US, let alone post-partum care. They send you on your way with minimal guidance and say “see you in 6 weeks”. Not a knock on physicians, it’s just the way the system is here.

Lots of women (poor, working class, generally minorities) are back to work well before 6 weeks is even up.

      • Becks1 says:

I was told I could not drive before 6 weeks but I had two c-sections.

      • Res says:

        Concur..also if you’ve had a c-section you can’t drive for 6weeks..

      • Jules says:

That may be for c-sections. I drove 2 days after an uncomplicated natural (no epidural) delivery.

      • Ronaldinhio says:

I travelled to Southern Africa, 3 weeks post c/s with my first child
I was cleared to fly and we went for 6 weeks.
I don’t think it is necessarily an issue

    • Amelia says:

“There is so much tension between William and Meghan” is that the reporters basically proving the point that it was Bullying Bill who made the comment about the children’s skin colour?
Why do we have to deal with these losers? I dont want them as Fk/fq 😭😭

  2. Kelsey Koop says:

So they’re admitting that the main person in that family who has issues with Meghan is William. Oh, ok. Lmao.

    So unhinged and so stupid.

    • Andrew’s Nemesis says:

This is classic projection. HE is the one who is unhinged. HE is the sociopath. HE is the damaged goods. But he cannot be bested by a biracial woman, who is poison to his narcissistic, psychotic little mind.
This is absolutely vile. I haven’t been so disgusted in a long time.

      • Lemons says:

It’s crazy how Trumpian the royals have become (or always were). Trump projected SO MUCH, you could literally count on whatever deranged thing he said applying to him or his family.

And the same goes for William and his baby fists.

      • Eurydice says:

@Lemons- Considering the monarchy’s been around for 1,200 years, I’d say Trump took lessons from them – he’s always been a wannabe.

      • Phoenix_Rising says:

Narcissistic behaviour cannot stand to be ignored, the grey rock method sends them reeling. I’ve learned first hand working and dealing with a covert narcissistic ex-manager. They are sick and twisted, cannot be helped and have to win, at any and all costs. The best thing H&M did was leave and start their lives afresh!

    • Eurydice says:

This may seem like a weird opinion, but I don’t know that Meghan is the real issue. I mean, yes, black, racist, eww – but I think it’s really Harry that William is after. I’m wondering if all this abuse wasn’t more to get rid of Harry than to get rid of Meghan. It can’t have been a surprise to the family to hear that Harry has wanted out since he was 12 years old. I think William sees this as win/win – get rid of Meghan somehow and Harry is under his thumb, better yet get rid of both of them and get them off the payroll. I’m thinking this because there’s been no evidence of brotherly love from William during any of this.

  3. Eurydice says:

*sigh* whatever. At this point, with Meghan safe on the other side of the planet, Will’s incandescent rage is just boring.

    • Lorelei says:

@Eurydice I agree. I don’t think Meghan *ever* planned to go, and I’m glad she’s not. She has a newborn, and we’re still in a pandemic ffs. And even if neither of those issues existed, she should stay as far away as possible from these horrific people after the way she’s been treated imo.

That being said, whoTF does Prince Elegant think he is, and why does he wield this much power?? He’s not the monarch. He’s not even the heir. Why is his petty-ass opinion given so much weight here?

This family, just filled with the absolute WORST people— not a spine or backbone to be found.

      • Jegede says:

This is not just about the statute.
It’s also about the Jubilee and other family events.

William & the family – inc Zara Phillips – are vey much letting it be known that Meghan isn’t welcome.
The “Comeback Harry” tales we’ve been getting all this while, have NOT been in a vacuum. They’ve been sanctioned by the palace and is very much ongoing.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the results of the bogus investigation against Meghan has been delayed until next year. 😶😶
Incidentally, the report is to be issued right before the Platinum Jubilee commences.
        A very much deliberate act.

      • Jais says:

How is Zara Phillips letting it be known? But yeah that makes sense. Did not connect the bullying report to come out right before the jubilee. Ew. Just the worst.

      • Eurydice says:

Well, he’s the future, future king, so there’s a lot of power there. He gets away with making people’s lives miserable because his position is permanent. It’s not like there’s a board of directors which can replace him with another CEO, or he’s a peripheral royal who can be sent off to the country.

And I think a lot of this show of power (read, bullying) is because the Queen is on her way out and Charles will be a tired old man when he takes over. Charles will be focused on streamlining so he can pocket a bigger share of the pie, and William will be swanning around being incandescent, taking his brother’s share of the pie and waiting for dear old Dad to kick it. It’s classic royal behavior, if you look back at history.

  4. Seraphina says:

It must really suck for Harry to realize his brother and his family are this way. He is a victim as much as Meghan. There is no coming back from seeing how vile your brother (and family) are towards your spouse.
And while Kate, I believe, is content with enabling (and more than likely assisting) this toxic behavior, she needs to watch her step. She has three children and karma has a funny way of serving you a platter that you served to others. And Kate is no Ma Middleton in keeping a family tight.

    • Laugh or Cry says:

I agree, you would think a keen gardener would understand the principle of reaping and sowing. Your spouse tried to drive someone to suicide, how do you think that will not come back on you?

    • mariahlee says:

“He is a victim as much as Meghan.” I’ve really come to resent this sentiment. So many of Meghan’s dreadful experiences have been told and therefore empathized within the frame of Harry’s feelings, and that seems deeply unfair to me. This is likely not your intention, but that line just triggered me.

      • MJM says:

You are correct in saying this. The hell Meghan went through, the misogynoir in particular, is in a class by itself. Harry could never live that experience.

      • Seraphina says:

@Mariahlee – Trauma comes in many shapes and forms. What both have gone through is trauma, And Harry is a victim here too – not in the same capacity as Meghan. And I am certainly not comparing the two, because they aren’t comparable. My intent was not to take away from Meghan all. But we should also see how badly Harry has been treated – not just recently but in the past as well.
Meghan undergoing pain and trauma does not take away from Harry’s pain and trauma that he has experienced.

  5. girl_ninja says:

Lololol. Go to hell William. Lazy, hateful loser.

    • kelleybelle says:

He becomes more unattractive and aged by the day. All that evil and jealousy inside him. Nasty man. He actually resembles Mr. Burns.

      • HeyJude says:

He’s Dorian Gray but with his true picture is out of attic for the entire world to see.

      • Marjorie K. Margel says:

Williams looks have dissolved long ago. Now he resembles Evil Gollum from Lord of the Rings…

    • whatWHAT? says:

      seriously. he’s such a punk.

  6. Belli says:

    “You can’t quit, I’m firing you!!1!”

  7. ABritGuest says:

As much as there is a need to have a villain as Meghan & the press love the drama of these feuds, it’s a shame that royal ‘experts’ that are women can’t even allow Meghan any humanity & it’s left to Richard Eden to point out that Meghan JUST had a baby (even if he phrases it as an official line).

Where is the peacemaker? Failing at her job it seems. the press feels very comfortable putting out there William’s apparent distaste for Meghan so guess that’s why it’s space with Harry. Not sure I believe he could have banned her like before she married if Harry wanted her there though.

    • swirlmamad says:

I would say you can’t successfully do your job as “peacemaker” when you can’t even keep your own household intact. Funny how Kate has failed at yet ANOTHER job…

    • LMR says:

Please. Peacemaker McButtons (see how I honored Scotland there?) can only do one job at a time, and her new Early Years Centre is taking all her time and energy.

    • Eurydice says:

Keen peacemaker is too busy worrying about her position in the palace. She wants to be queen and everyone else can fend for themselves.

  8. lanne says:

He doesn’t want her there because she’ll pull focus. Which she will do anyway by not being there. Also, bullies tend to be cowards who can’t take what they dish out. Neither Cain nor Unable can look Meghan in the eye. My guess is that they will never be seen with Meghan again until a funeral.

I hope this event gets postponed or canceled. Otherwise, I hope Harry and Meghan send a video greeting with their children in lieu of attending.

    • Ginger says:

According to someone that has a sister that is a reporter in the UK, they have no official word if Harry is coming to the unveiling. They are in the dark and are just guessing. I think it’s more they are hoping he will be there. It really does need to be cancelled.

      • JT says:

He couldn’t even look Harry in the eyes. TOB bailed on the Sandringham lunch and flew off to Ireland during the farewell tour. He is all bark and no bite. As soon as it’s time to face the music, he’s out of there. How kingly. And he always takes credit for something when the decision has been made. Like benching Andrew, that was Charles. H&M leaving KP, that was the Sussexes with an assist from Charles and the queen. And now this. Meg just had a baby, why would she go to the unveiling?

      • Agreatreckoning says:

I’m curious if they know that Harry doesn’t plan on going and are waiting on disclosing that to milk the clickbait headlines that Meghan stopped Harry from going. Which she wouldn’t do. Harry would make his decisions for his reasons. Willie the Incorrigible becomes worse every day if that’s even possible.

      • Lorelei says:

My hope is that Harry does not tell anyone in advance whether he’s going or not. Then he either shows up in sunglasses at the last minute and strolls in like a boss, or he ghosts all of them, leaving them hanging.
(I realize this isn’t how things actually work, but it’s what they deserve and it would be so entertaining to watch.)

No matter what he and Meghan do, the media will try to frame it as “disrespect” for Diana or some BS, but I fully believe Diana could not be prouder of Harry and has been cheering him on every step of the way these past few years.

@Lanne is right — all of the press that weekend will be about Meghan no matter what anyone does. They’re so pathetically predictable.

  9. Sofia says:

He probably does believe that he is the “hero” and Meghan is the “villainess” and it’s up to him alone to “save” Harry. Honestly if he wasn’t so terrible it would kind of be sad.

  10. Haylie says:

Peen is an unhinged monster. So is Keen. She’s not gonna get the white woman victim edit like she isn’t just as involved in these smears.

    • KW says:

I love this! Prince Peen. Hilarious. Like the new Carole Middleton article should be called the Princess and the Peen. Made me laugh too hard, a little harder than this peen can probably get!

    • Agreatreckoning says:

Kate has absolutely been involved in the smears. I’m a white woman and can say that Kate has been involved with confidence. There is zero chance that the so called “peacemaker” “rock of the monarchy” ” lynch pin” and whatever else she’s been called, hasn’t been complicit in the anti-Meghan campaign. Because if she was that good at those things and had true intentions-a reconciliation would have happened already. Andrea Mitchell, asked a very strategic question the other week. Love her even more for that. Kate’s answer pretty much negated any of the closeness with Harry stories. Kate & Will are pretty much the Duke & Duchess of Lynching & Petty Jealousy.

  11. Lili says:

I’m in 2 minds as to whether it’s a good Idea for Harry to even attend, on the one hand get it over and done with never having to engage with them again , or not attend at all, it feels like they are burying her all over again and not a celebration of her life. That on the Media and William, for making it that way

  12. equality says:

I don’t see Harry responding well to William demanding that Meghan not attend. It would be more likely that he would float it as being just him and Harry there and that Kate wouldn’t attend either. It may even be keeping numbers down because of Covid and this is just big talk. I think if I were Harry and this had been floated to me as just being me and Will and Kate did attend, I’d just turn around and leave. Charlotte has the name Diana also. Is that good for brand Middleton? These writers are tiresome.

    • Merricat says:

Meghan just had a baby. She was never going to be there. William is psychotic.

      • Lorelei says:

@Merricat, I feel like someone needs to tell William that he can stop now. We get it. He has a tiny willie, and all of this bluster is overcompensation. He should just buy some sort of sports car and be done with it.

      • Sunday says:

Perhaps kate’s keen EY project can work on informing the British media and/or her husband that women don’t simply pop out babies and then travel on 10-hour international flights. 3 weeks old is early indeed, keen!

    • JT says:

If he wanted Harry there, this isn’t the way to go about it. William is such a small man. Bullying a pregnant woman just makes him look oh so weak. Harry should stay so the real punishment could be William having to spend the day with Buttons.

  13. Merricat says:

It’s amazing that William seems proud of this. Does he realize how this looks to the rest of the world, the ffk being relentlessly nasty to his sister in law? Does he understand how weak it makes him, to be so obsessively hostile to her?
    Wow.

    • Margaret says:

There’s a thin line between love and hate. I rest my case.

      • Res says:

I agree…I don’t think William hates Meghan..there’s a reason Kate wanted her out as well…

      • Jaded says:

Margaret you are spot on. I’ve mentioned this on CB before — William is the type of man-child who, when he’s physically attracted to a woman who is miles above him in terms of intelligence, drive, focus, compassion, charisma AND who is in a deeply loving relationship with his brother — turns on her and tries to bring her down any way possible. Jealousy is a terrible monster.

    • equality says:

If he really is dumping Kate maybe she is releasing stories to show him as nasty and out him as the skin color commenter?

    • SarahCS says:

My first thought was wow, what a first rate diplomat. Thank goodness he’s our FFK with skills like these.

    • Becks1 says:

Yes, where on earth are those crisis managers?!?!? These stories are horrible for William. I know there is a section of Cambridge fans that find them appealing – oh William is so strong, he’s not scared of the black american duchess, he can stand up to her! He’s taking charge because he’s the FUTURE FUTURE KING!

But that’s a small audience and I believe it’s narrowing because the attacks are increasingly unhinged. He looks “obsessively hostile” like you put it and there just doesn’t seem to be any reason for that. I said yesterday that I think that’s one of the reasons the bullying story wont go away – the Cambridges NEED for people to believe that Meghan was a bully because it can explain why William hates her so much. But again, that’s a small audience that believes that story and that audience is also narrowing.

KP/William/whoever is overplaying their hand here in a major way and I can’t believe no one is telling them that.

      • Lorelei says:

@Becks ITA— that base isn’t as large as William might think it is, and it’s shrinking by the day. Lots of Cambridge supporters are older and, sorry if this sounds callous, will be dying off soon. At this point, even some younger ones seem to be growing disenchanted with his constant hatred and negativity.

Even if I started out loving the Cambs and not being able to stand the Sussexes, I think I’d be starting to tire of this nonstop, nasty, repetitive garbage from William. And it certainly can’t be winning him any new fans.

I don’t see this strategy ending well for William.

      • Sunday says:

I have a tinfoil tiara theory on this. I think the crisis managers royally f*cked up by trying to control the situation by confronting the courtiers and/or the media. From all we already know about the courtiers and all the nefarious scheming we suspect, why would they welcome crisis managers with open arms? The courtiers are at least 50% of the crisis the managers have been called in to manage! So I think there’s a lot of pushback there, and I think the courtiers are feeling a huge sense of urgency to “complete” their plan. The courtiers don’t want Meghan to overshadow the jubilee, so post-statue the clock is ticking. I also think it’s possible that the crisis managers approached the rota to try and dictate coverage, and the rota also resented it, hence the absolutely chaotic coverage that’s not helping any of them.

    • notasugarhere says:

He’s briefing to his racist admirers, who will crow that Meghan was banned. That’s his audience now and in the future.

      • CooCooCatchoo says:

I lost my sister just before the pandemic, and my brother during it. Once your parents are gone, you really realize how important it is to have your siblings. I think it’s sad that William cannot see past his jealousy and ridiculous ego and just support Harry and his family. He’s done irreparable harm, not just to Harry, but to Harry’s children – not to mention their mother. He’s turned an entire nation against all of them. When will it ever be enough for William?
If I were Harry, I wouldn’t go to that statue unveiling. I’d spend the day doing charity work to honor Diana, and I’d do it without fanfare.

      • MerlinsMom1018 says:

        @CooCooCatchoo
I am so sorry for your unimaginable losses. I wish you peace.

      • Jaded says:

@CooCooCatchoo – I’m sending you my deepest sympathies on your terrible loss.

It will never be enough for William, he is a deeply damaged human being and without appropriate therapy he’s only going to get worse. I don’t think Harry should attend under the circumstances and agree he would be better off honoring his mother’s legacy with a donation to or a visit with children in hospital.

      • LahdidahBaby says:

Coocoocatchoo, omg, what a burden of loss, and in such a short time! I’m SO sorry, and I hope you have plenty of emotional support. To lose a parent is always difficult, but we all do somewhat expect that—but to lose a sibling—TWO siblings–oh, what unimaginable pain! Sending warm thoughts your way.

      • notasugarhere says:

I am so sorry for your losses. IDK how I’d deal with losing both my siblings so close together.

    • S808 says:

He’s going toe to toe with Piers on who’s more obsessed with her. Both creepy lunatics I hope she never has to be in the same room with the ever again.

      • Lorelei says:

@S808 you’re right, he really has crossed the line into obsessive and this should be cause for alarm for many in the UK.

You’d think the future King and Head of State would be held to a higher standard than Piers Freaking Morgan!!

      • Laugh or Cry says:

And we know the underlining reason why Piers was nasty to her because he “wanted/wants” her in a biblical way and this confirms so does William.

      • BayTampaBay says:

@Laugh or Cry – I am glad you brought this up because I have read (in very weird places) over the last two years on the internet about William and a relationship with Meghan. I always brushed it off as this info was on very very unreliable sites. However, this theory is starting to see light on “mainstream” (I use this word very loosely) sites.

Footnote: I am not saying Meghan had a “relationship” with Baldy only that there is much more to Baldy that we have not yet seen.

      • Persephone says:

@BayTampaBay – I have always thought that Baldimort wished he could have met Meghan first, he would have made a play for her. I think he frequently wishes he had her, and that love(lust) has now turned to hate.

      • notasugarhere says:

As I wrote on another thread, I think William may have tried something with Meghan. To try to prove she wanted the position not Harry, that he could have something Harry had, whatever.

There was an event in London all four attended together. Kate is walking in front stoneyfaced. Harry is at the rear, looking furious. William is staring at Meghan inappropriately while licking his lips. Meghan is looking afraid.

  14. JT says:

The nerve. Maybe if this budget Dwight Schrute took the time to focus on his own crumbling, facade of a marriage instead of obsessing over a woman who dropped their asses nearly two years ago, his jaw wouldn’t be cracking from the strain. She was never going to that damn unveiling and Harry still hasn’t confirmed. This asshat needs to get a life. He has nothing.

  15. Amy Bee says:

I think if Meghan didn’t just have a baby she would be attending the statue unveiling. Anyway, someone on Twitter said that the slew of stories attacking Meghan and Harry in the press probably means that Harry won’t be there either and I starting to think the same way. I mean, if KP was truly interested in reconciliation, they wouldn’t be briefing against Harry and Meghan as they are doing right now. I hope my suspicions are true. At this point the press still don’t know if he’s coming for sure.

    • Calibration says:

My theory is these stories are being leaked in order to deter Harry from going so Baldimort gets to be the one there for his mum while Harry hides in America etc

      • Merricat says:

Harry doesn’t hide anything. Hiding is the Windsor Plan.

      • Margaret says:

After she was paranoid comment, willie shouldn’t go either, the hypocrite. I know the cheating ex. Shouldn’t be there. If harry goes, buttons will show.

      • Calibration says:

Merricat I know, that would be their spin

      • notasugarhere says:

Or being leaked because Harry has already told them he isn’t attending. Now Billy the Basher has to make it all look like his idea.

      • Sunday says:

Yup, totally agree. They don’t want Harry there, but they want the media to shame him for not being there. This is their way of demoralizing him to the point of staying home. I don’t want them to win, but I don’t want him to go either.

      • Robert says:

That’s why Harry & Meaghan need to create a beautiful video of Diana. Then release it the day before the unveiling. If they did that I wonder if even William would show up for the unveiling.

    • notasugarhere says:

William isn’t interested in reconciliation, because he and Kate are the ones who have done everything wrong. Reconciliation would require massive apologies to Meghan from W&K and the Middleton clan, plus firing every staff person who briefed against Harry and Meghan.

  16. Izzy says:

For the life of me, I can’t understand why any of the courtiers or the RF would think this is a good look. Those crisis PR managers might as well not be there because it’s business as usual with one blunder after another in which this assclown family outs itself for the petty racists they are.

    • kelleybelle says:

Yes, this is exactly it. They blunder with every move they make and yet can’t see it themselves. They’re awful. #Abolishthemonarchy

  17. Trix says:

William: Making claims everyone knows are false.

RR: Yes, William. We know you wear the big boy pants and you are the boss of everybody. Even Harry. We know big bad Meghan is the absolute worst and you were so right to be raci—put her “in her place.” Like you always have. Let’s talk more about that later, shall we?

  18. Water Bearer 💧 says:

These people are just awful. She had a kid less than three weeks ago and it’s been nothing but constant attacks and new smears. They are still raging about Lilibet’s name. Meghan wasn’t coming anyway.

  19. Kateeee says:

My four-year-old daughter will get in a mood and yell at me, “And just so you know, I hate you!” before blowing me a raspberry and storming off. That’s about the same level of emotional maturity I see in all their breathless pettiness.

  20. Ainsley7 says:

Yeah, I feel like he only said this after he knew she couldn’t come. He likes people to think he’s in charge of such things. If she could be there then she would be. Unless I misunderstood, it was the Sussexes who made it clear she would be attending the Jubilee in 2022. I think the timing is their way of saying that Meghan would be at the unveiling if she could.

    • notasugarhere says:

I don’t think they’ve said anything about the Jubilee. We got some strange tabloid story about ‘how of course they’d be welcome at that’ but I don’t remember an official statement from their spokesperson about random events a year from now.

  21. Red Weather Tiger says:

I hope Harry is a no-show and Elegant Bill is standing there alone, fists clenched, Diana’s son (and don’t you forget it!), delivering his self-centered speech to the rota. He’s such an ass.

    • Margaret says:

Don’t forget the fragile, traumatized staff, you know the gentle ones, shaking in their boots, over the big bully woc. And willie boy, their savior, who told off harry, about the me Again, degree wife, sociopath, bi$$$, # save harry, wife.
With all those gentle sweet names, about that meanie meghan, of course she is a bully. Why so many staff attended her last day in the uk, and cried with her for leaving, I tell you she traumatized them, the big bad bully. We fragile, gentle and kind petunias lived in fear, I tell you fear. Then our hero to the rescue to put them in their place. Strange all of that.

  22. Bea says:

Meghan doesn’t need William to make her “brand” happen. She is succeeding because she is smart, compassionate, interesting, hardworking and charismatic. These people really believe that they are above everybody.

    • Kalana says:

It’s projection. All William has is his title so he believes Meghan must be as obsessed with it as he is.

  23. Scout says:

    F him

  24. Me says:

Does PWT really have a personality disorder? This all seems so idiotic and messy—but I guess anything to keep his affairs out of the press spotlight.

    • Margaret says:

Don’t forget a trial is coming up. If we talk about the Sussexes, whom we hate, we don’t talk about Andrew or willie.

      • My3cents says:

Let the people fight about baby names, much better than to have them fighting about that then trafficked girls.

    • LMR says:

I am starting to wonder if his sidepiece(s) broke up with him. The resulting lack of a positive distraction and adult relations in his life could explain the escalating tension and hostility.

  25. Steph says:

All this coming out of KP these last few days… either the papers or Harry directly is about to unload some shit on William. If Harry actually goes, I’m scared of what he’s going to say in his speech.

    • S808 says:

I think something about William/Cambridges is coming. There’s no reason for this much sludge over Harry not affecting a statue unveiling. KP usually over plays their hands but this is A LOT over an attendance that wasn’t confirmed in the first placed

    • Lorelei says:

@Steph this is the first time I’ve considered that they might have reason to be afraid of what Harry could say in his speech.

If he even attends this event, which I hope he doesn’t, I hope he at least GOES OFF in his speech. Nothing would make Diana prouder, imho.

      • Feeshalori says:

Maybe they’re afraid he’ll unload on them a la Charles Spencer’s speech at Diana’s funeral. Wouldn’t that be something.

      • LahdidahBaby says:

O Feeshalori, what a thought! Fingers crossed, he will!

  26. North of Boston says:

This seems very much a “you can’t fire me; I quit!” proclamation to me.

There was no way Meghan was going to be flying across an ocean during a pandemic weeks after giving birth, taking Lili with her and Harry or leaving her home. That’s obvious to anyone, particularly given how lousy the Windsors, RR, BP have been to her, Harry and both their children.

So William’s camp proclaiming it was his idea, his order is just juvenile and stupid.

    • MarcelMarcel says:

I totally agree! This whole media dialogue highlights the misogynoir directed at Meghan. Who would expect a mother with a newborn to travel internationally right now? It’s obvious that she was never coming. But William needs to have the last word.
I also can’t imagine how racist the Royal Family are privately because they never correct public narratives like this one.

    • MsIam says:

This plays well with his stuck in the 1950s base. William put that uppity black woman in her place. They aren’t even pretending to hide anything now.

  27. Amelie says:

Watch Harry not attend and just post a nice picture of Diana and a thoughtful statement on the Archewell website like he did for Prince Philip’s passing on July 1st. I could see that being the only thing he does if William keeps trying to smear Meghan in the press like that.

  28. Roo says:

So is this story the work of Charles in retaliation for the story printed (supposedly by William) about Charles taking away the Sussex kids’ titles? Are they now fighting their PR wars against each other? If so, this is truly madness. I need to know if it is a war and how much popcorn to order!

  29. Lauren says:

There has been no doubt since they announced their pregnancy that Meghan wouldn’t be attending. She had a baby just a couple of weeks ago. Who wants to take an international flight, quarantine, allow the media to hate-watch you, in a country that made you miserable in the middle of people who rejoiced in your misery, after having just birthed a child? Not Meghan for sure.

  30. Over it says:

So is this conformation from William that he didn’t want Megs and Harry semi black children in the white racist British monarchy? Also I think Kate isn’t going because Harry said well if my wife isn’t wanted, not like she was planning to come anyway, then neither is your mcbuttons

  31. aquarius64 says:

Harry needs to stay home. This is crazy. I think the Sussexes videotape the tribute to Diana from Monticeito. Harry says words, MEGHAN says words, bring out Archie and introduce Lili. The new Us Four. Have it aired on American TV, a big FU to the British press.

    • JT says:

This would be brilliant and let’s face it, nobody even cares if TOB shows up.

      • Cessily says:

That would be something to see.. because you know PW will be bumbling through his cue cards or teleprompter for his speech. Being shown up by a video recorded message is deserved.

    • Lady Digby says:

I like that idea too: Diana’s legacy is Harry and Meg and the children not a statue! Just send a Zoom of all four of them as a respectful tribute.
William’s macho posturing about denying her access to UK is pathetic. Bullying a new mom is unacceptable for anyone let alone someone who could one day be Head of Church of England. Where are the crisis managers, are they having a crisis?

    • Margaret says:

Well meghan and harry making it all about them, don’t you know. The headlines for weeks. Doesn’t matter if he comes, meghan, is using the baby as a excuse for not coming. If she came it would be stealing Diana’s spotlight.
We all know the games, they play. How boring is the Bm, RR, BRF, so called carnival of growing royal experts are getting. I don’t know about you but the gang of goons, are getting older, meaner, uglier, and more pathetic.

    • Nyro says:

I hope this is what they do. And while they’re at it, drop a million dollars on some of Diana’s most loved charities. Going there only lends their star power to the royals. Screw them and just deliberately do all that overshadowing they’re constantly complaining about. They want to mock the “Markle brand”? Then show them the power of the ” Markle brand”.

      • Lorelei says:

I also hope this is what they do! It’s a brilliant idea, Aquarius; introducing Lili Diana to the world on Diana’s birthday.

No one would notice if Elegant Bill was even there, let alone pay attention to his remarks, lol, which is excellent payback for all of his recent bullsh!t. The coverage would be ALL ABOUT Diana and the Sussexes.

@Margaret, the media will trash them no matter what they do, and they know it, so I think at this point they’re just doing whatever they think is best for them and their little family, without worrying about what the gutter press will say. As it should be.

    • betsyh says:

Maybe you are psychic aquarius. Perhaps this is what the Sussexes are planning to do—send a film to be broadcast at the event with the Sussex family. I keep wondering why Kate floated the idea that she might not attend. If she and her children do not attend, and the Sussexes “do,” then the Cambridges can say that the Sussexes were making the event all about them, when it really should have been just about the two brothers.

  32. LBB says:

I hate that they always use Meghan’s last name when she clearly does not use it anymore. I always get the feeling they are trying to further “other” her. Gets on my nerves.

    • Lorelei says:

@LBB, I’m not one to give the benefit of the doubt to any of these awful people, ever, but in this case, I really think it’s just for SEO purposes.

They still say Kate Middleton, as well, because that’s how most of the world knows her. This is the one (and only!) thing I don’t see as a personal slight to Meghan.

  33. SunRae says:

Man, I used to feel so bad for Meghan having to put up with this but something about the unhinged and relentless nature of these latest smears has me finally convinced she won.

Masks are off and the ugliness has been bared for the world to see. The mystique and intrigue of the royals has disappeared beneath a layer of petty, small-minded antics that would put a pack of teenage mean girls to shame. THEY ARE PETRIFIED.

She is so out of their league. Even the weirdos who claim to hate her but can’t get enough of her magic know it. What an icon. MUST STAN HARDER!

    • Margaret says:

I know right. Willie on a rampage, defending the honor of the fragile, traumatized ones, speaks volumes. Willie never liked her, which the baying haters are saying. Which gave the green light for the fragile ones, the ones with kind nick names for their employer like, me Again, sociopath, and damaged goods, to be a$$wipes. Cue the incandescent with rage monster to hit the ground to the sussex abode, what a diplomatic move. The ffk.

  34. sandy says:

I truly hope if harry has to see william he just tells him it is unacceptable how he is treating meghan, and until he apologizes publicly, they are never coming back.

    • Nina says:

That would be giving PWT power and keep this one-sided feud going. Best to ignore his ass, go to the unveiling if he wants to then leave immediately afterward. Let him keeping screeching into the wilderness like the unhinged lunatic that he is.

  35. notasugarhere says:

Did incandescent TOB find out Harry wasn’t going to attend? So now he’s putting out a story that he’s demanded Meghan not attend. What would follow is Harry not attending, in solidarity with his wife. All to possibly cover the fact that Harry was never going in the first place, but William wants to make it all look like His decision?

William refused to let Meghan be at the graveside remembrance ceremony in 2017, months before Harry and Meghan announced their engagement. It was private, no cameras, but William refused to let Meghan be there. Multiple nannies and screaming kids were allowed at the ‘private and solemn occasion’ but not Meghan. Because that is how hateful William is.

    • Lizzie Bathory says:

Since Meghan just gave birth, it seems obvious that she wasn’t going to be there. So this feels like William & his press handlers taking advantage of the situation by saying William was making demands. Not, you know, a woman deciding not to fly internationally weeks after birthing an entire human being.

What I wondered–since RR stories are often truth-adjacent–is whether there was actually a push by Kate/Carole to have Kate there for a “Keen Peacemaker” photo-op like at Philip’s funeral. And William insisted that Kate not attend. Sort of a “the reverse happened” situation.

    • TigerMcQueen says:

“Did incandescent TOB find out Harry wasn’t going to attend? So now he’s putting out a story that he’s demanded Meghan not attend. What would follow is Harry not attending, in solidarity with his wife. All to possibly cover the fact that Harry was never going in the first place, but William wants to make it all look like His decision? ”

In all honestly, I think you’re giving Elegant Bill to much credit here, because I don’t think he’s that smart or in control of his emotions. His go-to reaction is knee-jerk projection and rage.

I think this story is more of a “you can’t quit, you’re fired” than a skillful planting of seeds re: excuses for Harry’s absence (and fwiw, I think Harry is going).

  36. thaisajs says:

So if, as this article says, the day is supposed to be about “Diana and her sons” and no Meghan allowed, does that mean Kate won’t be attending??

  37. Delphine says:

I’m not condoning violence but I kind of wish someone would slap William with a pair of gloves. Or a chancla. Or a shoe. Or a pie in the face even.

I’m also afraid to to see what this statue actually looks like. I’m praying the sculptor did her justice.

    • Lucy says:

      I vote chancla.
I’ve wondered about the statue too. One of my mom’s cousins (closer in age to me than my mom) died young (38 or so?). Her parents commissioned a bronze bust of her that’s displayed at her private school. It’s… creepy looking. Doesn’t look like her, especially because she was so charming and lively.
I would hope they have the connections to get an artist who can get it right, but that’s not always the case.

      • Feeshalori says:

I just had to google chancla since l never heard that before. You learn something new every day. I think William getting smacked with flip flops would be a sight.

  38. S808 says:

His and Piers Morgan’s obsession with her is very concerning.

    • February-Pisces says:

I’m convinced more than ever Willie and piers tried it on with her and she rejected them both.

      • Feeshalori says:

        I believe that as well.

      • Julia K says:

Even before the wedding my husband made the remark that Wm looks as if he was lusting after his brother’s girlfriend. So agree with you.

      • notasugarhere says:

I mentioned it above. Does anyone have the link to the pic I referenced? Event with all four of them, at a church iirc. It might have been the RAF centenary. Kate is walking ahead frowning. Harry in the back furious. William staring at Meghan while licking his lips. Meghan looking afraid. Moment in time, but what a moment to catch.

      • Zebz says:

        https://youtu.be/bQk-cHkGEwE

William is smiling like maniac in this video when he was walking beside Meghan. He wanted her. Period.

    • MerlinsMom1018 says:

MerlinsDad doesn’t know who they are and could care even less, but like Julia K’s husband, he also mentioned the look. Asked if PWT was married to MM and when I pointed out Kate and said he was married to her, he said “He wants the other one. It’s all over his face and in his body language.”
He thought Kate was very pretty (but too thin for his taste) but he thought MM was (in his words) absolutely stunning. I showed him recent pictures of both and he said his opinion hasn’t changed

      • Jaded says:

I’m sure he made some creepy comments and/or got too handsy with Meghan at some point and she told Harry that Wm was making her feel uneasy. Wm doesn’t respect women – he doesn’t respect his own wife FFS. So here’s Harry’s girlfriend who is gorgeous, accomplished, compassionate, strong, charismatic and GETS SH*T DONE. He’s overwhelmed with desire and jealousy, but at the same time feels a biracial, American, divorced actress is beneath the BRF’s lofty standards so because she rebuffed his clumsy advances he decided to turn on her.

William is a very VERY sick person and really needs to get some intensive therapy.

      • Zebz says:

I thinks this is true because of how Kate acted. For me the weird thing is Kate started to dress like Meghan and adopting her traits in the public. She tried to look and act like Meghan because William and Harry is attracted to Meghan imo. She does this to all of Williams love interests such as Jessica, rose and even weirdly his mom etc. he wants Meghan imo. Also there is a pic of Harry and William as Meghan walked down the aisle he was giving a sexual gazE to her.

  39. Kfg says:

Harry was never going to attend. I think the PWBT told the press he would because without Harry there they don’t get clicks on their stories. They lamebridges are not large scale marketable. Kate can’t speak and her fans know this and said MM did the bench interview just to show Kate up. Like wtf!? The RR need a big ass scandal to get in the black and Peen knows that without H&M he and Kate are on the menu. The queen is protecting nonce Andrew she won’t protect them.

  40. SexyK says:

To me, I see desperation from William and the media for different reasons. The situation is getting out of control because people are unhinged, raging, racist and trying to control the narrative. To see Harry and Meghan are unbothered and successful despite their smear campaign has the monarchy on fire and not for good reasons.

  41. Over it says:

I think it’s time to find new crisis management. Baldemort ones are not strong or competent enough to control this level of rage . He is out of control. Might I suggest a tranquilizer shot and a cage

  42. Digital Unicorn says:

I think Harry will come, this has been a project he’s been involved with for a long time.

As much as for Queen Lynchpin McButtons, she won’t be there even thou am sure she desperately wants to be – William will want this event to be all about him and HIS mother. If Harry doesn’t turn up in person I think he might drag George with him to talk about ‘Granny Diana’.

  43. swirlmamad says:

In the event his people are reading: William, you are a douchebag, a tool and so ugly inside AND out. Tormenting a pregnant and now newly-postpartum woman like this is how you get your kicks?

I will not judge Harry for attending this statue unveiling. Diana is his mother just as much as she is William’s, and I suspect that his pride and strong will is what is driving him to go so that he doesn’t give the impression that William has “won” by not attending the unveiling. It’s going to be tense and awkward as hell, but we’re going to get that money shot of both brothers standing (not too close, mind you) in front of this reminder of their mother and her tragic end. What a mess.

(And my prediction is that Kate will NOT be there. Not after being MIA on Father’s Day and now the story about them looking for property close to Camp Middleton.)

    • lee says:

She will be there. If only to be a buffer between Harry and his brother and play the role of peacemaker for the tabs.

What interesting is there was so much anguish about the Netflix contract Meghan and Harry signed. So much screaming about the betrayal of the family. Imagine those two signing with the company that makes the Crown series that shows Charles in such a bad light we were told. But who are they leaking all these anti Meghan and Harry stories to now, Robert Lacey, the historical advisor for Netflix’s Crown. You cannot make this up.

  44. Moira's Rose's Garden says:

Everytime an article appears about this troglodyte, the song “King of Anything” starts playing in my head.

Too bad H&M aren’t as petty because it would totally be awesome if they showed up with a boombox with this song playing a’la Say Anything.

  45. Moira says:

What are the chances that Carole drops by uninvited? Doesn’t someone have to be there to represent the person who holds the family together?

  46. VICKYISHERETOSTAY says:

I guess what really bothers me is how they continue to act like it’s all about Meghan when Harry clearly is the one who has made a lot of these decisions as well. They keep saying it’s not about Diana but they can’t keep Meghan’s name out of their mouths. They keeps saying Meghan did this and Meghan did that but Harry was at the interview too, speaking his truth. I mean, it should tell you everything you need to know about how stupid these people are.

  47. L4Frimaire says:

Between this and the vicious tabloid attacks on Meghan this week, there is something seriously wrong with this guy. Heading in MBS territory.

  48. MangoAngelesque says:

I know that one photo is of William’s bizarrely clenched fists, but seeing close-up of his crotch like that is incredibly disturbing. Even his junk drawer looks depressing and annoyed.

  49. Gina says:

I’m looking at bigger picture as I understand it. Baldimort banned his brother’s wife from attending. One thing, he is a boss. Secondly, his brother dutifully accepts the order and is coming alone as TOB ordered. And it doesn’t matter the amount of abuse that was thrown at Meghan lately. TOB humiliates Harry and Harry accepts it, betrays his abused wife. So, maybe TOB is right? Something isn’t well with Meghan’s behavior or character?
FYI, I don’t think this is the real case, the real situation, but haters and not well informed people could understand this exactly like it’s presented. Harry’s attendance plays well for Baldimort and BPress only. I wish he won’t come. His mother is in his heart and his deed, not in the statue.

    • Mercury says:

@gina I dont see how that can be the big picture. We should never give credence or legitimacy to racists. Anyone who entertains thess outlandish tactics fueled by racism can only be racist themselves.

    • Maria says:

      (Deleted)

  50. qtpi says:

I’m convinced that she will not back to the salty isle any time soon. Maybe when the Queen dies? It would have to be for something as important as that. These two are totally peace out.

  51. Athena says:

It would serve him right if Harry doesn’t show up either. Let William have his statue unveiling by himself and Harry can announce something grand on Archwell in honor of his mother.
William needs to move on with his life, Harry and Meghan have. He needs to accept that Harry will not be there to carry him if or when he’s king. Just like Harry realized that he can survive and thrive outside of the royal family bubble, William might realize that he’s fine without Harry. It might be helpful for William to have therapy.
The more Meghan sits in California and says nothing, the more ridiculous they look. I’m baffled at the fact that they still do not realize how bad all this mouthing to the press is making them look.

    • L4Frimaire says:

Agree. Let them wallow alone in there own mess. I think one of the things that pissed the usual suspects off about the NPR interview was just how normal and relaxed Meghan sounded, just having a nice chill conversation about her work and her family. They think everything is about them and it’s not.

  52. Athena says:

I read that results of the bullying investigation were expected to be release this week but has been push back to next year. My guess Meghan’s attorneys showed some of their receipts and William and company are attacking on any and all fronts because they have lost the bullying claim.

    • Jaded says:

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head. Every time the Sussexes have a “win”, William’s head explodes and he starts leaking aggressive nonsense.

  53. Keri says:

For someone who engaged in the gaslighting and dismissal of his mother Diana’s own words not too recently, Willnot has a lot of nerve to demand that Meghan, who is Harry’s wife and practically Diana 2.0 be excluded. What a rotten, evil little man.

I’m hoping that Harry decides to skip this and the Sussexes announce the opening of a Diana center for charity or hospital wing on the same day, complete with a new family photo showing Diana’s and the Queen’s new namesake. I’d pay to see Baldemort and Karen keen’s heads explode.

  54. Jane Wilson says:

I’ve just decided that “Buttons Galore” is my stripper name.

    • MerlinsMom1018 says:

annnnnnnnnd remarks like THAT are why I should NEVER read comments and try to drink coffee at the same time!!!
I think that’s an excellent stage name and I wish you well on your future endeavors!! 😁

    • Joan says:

      😂

  55. jferber says:

I don’t see how a grown-ass man, much less the heir to the British throne, is only passionate about harassing his own brother and sister-in-law. Imagine if Elizabeth’s father spent his whole reign villifying David and Wallace instead of standing courageously against Hitler? There are issues of supreme importance for William in this world right now. Act like you know it, William, and do something better. Stop throwing tantrums about your own family. It’s like lecturing a child. Is there NO ONE in his organization to make him act like a man? Sad, sad, sad.

  56. Chelsea says:

Yeah i dont buy this for a second but can we talk about the terrible optics around these stories? They’re doing everything they can to paint a picture of the royal family trying to punish or harm a woman who just gave birth a few weeks ago and who has only been seen twice in the last 3 months; in spots where she advocated for vaccine equity and talked about her children’s book. Do they not see how unhinged they look opposite Meghan who was literally on NPR on Sunday talking about freaking watercolors and reading to her son? Os so you stuck it to a postpartum woman whose just minding her business and releasing chart topping children’s books? What an own! Dumbasses

    • Tessa says:

What on earth are they investigating exactly? Innuendo from the media and also William sympathizers? There have been so many reports of royals rude to staff over the years. Wendy Berrie did a number on Charles and his temper tantrums in the Housekeeper’s Diary. Do they want to send Meghan away or make her pay “damages.” This is just horrible.

  57. Nina says:

This is just exhausting. This is why monarchies need to be abolished. These people have too much time on their hands and not enough brains to find something to do to fill it.

  58. TheOriginalMia says:

William can’t demand a thing from Meghan and Harry. It may make him feel good to tell the tabs that’s he’s doing this or that to them, but he has no say over what Harry & Meghan do. Meghan isn’t coming because she just had a baby 3 weeks ago. She isn’t cleared for travel nor would she come and risk being infected with the Delta variant. I’m still not convinced Harry is coming.

    • ennie says:

She might not even be vaccinated yet. I know pregnant women can take the vaccine, but after the miscarriage, she could have decided to wait after the birth of her kiddo, just to be double cautious.

  59. Layla says:

This loser can believe whatever he wants. Let’s let him skip in his stupid fantasyland of rose bushes and plastic watering cans and sunshines and rainbows.
First of all, Meghan was pregnant and now she has a three-week old baby. And second of all, why on earth would she want to come to a toxic and racist environment like the U.K? Meghan and Harry both have the ability to stand up for themselves and each other.
Let him think what he wants. It only makes him look that much more stupid

  60. lanne says:

Will-di Amin and his goons have completely destroyed this event. This is no tribute to Diana. It’s a petty melodrama that’s being used to abuse and vilify a new mother. There’s no honor for Diana here. This isn’t even about Diana anymore. This is a showcase for the future future king and a demonstration of his nastiness and racism. It’s a disgrace.

  61. SueBarbri says:

William seems unwell, and not just emotionally.

I’ve been following the BRF since Diana’s funeral, and over the years William has always appeared to be frail. I remember there were a few photos from his final year at Eton (I think the one in the “Pop” uniform?) that showed a strange slope to his shoulders. I don’t know if it was the work of weird shoulder pads or what, but it certainly seemed extreme at the time. I realize that the brothers have different builds, but in the back of my mind it always seemed as though they sent Harry out for the “active” events, while William is rarely seen doing anything to break a sweat. It was highlighted this year in that video that went around after Harry ran that obstacle course and William could barely maneuver on the little swings and ropes or whatever. The contrast between the healthy, robust, strong Harry and his apparently physically weak brother couldn’t have been more stark.

I mean, yes. William is balding. But that’s no excuse for how pale and unhealthy he has seemed ever since Meghan came into the family. I can buy that his racism, tom-catting, and general unhappiness are eating him alive, but not at this rate. In a few years he will look exactly like the Duke of Kent, and the change between pre-wedding William and 2021 William is so odd that you would almost think it was a different person. I thought his physical problems were kind of what they were hinting at last week, when the RR said he was giving up polo. Hmm.

Also, it’s incredibly telling that the DM and other major outlets didn’t do much for his birthday yesterday. I remember reading in great detail about his birthday celebrations in years past, even when it was just a quiet evening at home or whatever. But this also made me think about how we never, ever hear about William and Kate being out and about doing anything at all.

Does William have any interests at all, besides being bitter and hating Meghan and tending his rose bushes? Even Fred from Denmark is a more interesting character at this point, and we know how lazy he can be. I stopped following TOB a while ago, so for all I know he’s a man about town in London, but I doubt it. William and Kate are the most boring “young” people in the world, by my estimate. I mean, even Horrible Albert in Monaco pretends to like cars or whatever.

    • Cari says:

William was captain of his water polo team, representing Scotland in the university league. Water polo is a really brutal sport. So is rugby which he played at school. So I don’t think he was unhealthy or weak as a child. But he doesn’t look well now.

  62. Feebee says:

Funny how he takes/is given “credit” for decisions already made by someone else. Meghan decides not to attend for several valid reasons, but no, it’s because Williams demanded she not. Whoa, the power! If Harry confirms in-person attendance we’ll probably get a story how William put his foot down about Harry being there. I’m picking Harry’s speech will be miles better than Wills’ and it will be seen as a personal attack that Wills will be hurt and you guessed it, angered by.

  63. JustMe says:

The whole point of the unveiling of the statue is to honor Diana!
The acknowledging of Diana’s worldwide legacy of accomplishments re helping the homeless, people with HIV and AIDS and children living in poverty, raising the awareness to those charities as well as awareness over the landmines left in Angola, post-war should be the at the forefront of the unveiling.
Not to be ignored, Diana’s personal family legacy – 2 sons, 2 daughters-in-law, 5 grandchildren, her shared personal view of her resilience in experiencing and dealing with the palace firm/family poison pit of deceit is one aspect of honoring her life.
Her legacy In view of the way her son, Harry, has lived his life not tearing down anyone else to make himself look better, finding the love of his life and enjoying his children and breaking free from the firm/family that tried to destroy both his wife and herself, must make her very proud.
Her son, Willian, however, who must destroy anyone, including his brother, sister-in-law, nephew and niece with lies and innuendoes must disappoint her profoundly. He, along with his minions, have disrespected his mother by their unhinged actions!
“Billy the Basher” appears to still exist, unwell and unchecked!

  64. Elle says:

“Diana is his mother too. He makes a point about that regularly behind closed doors.”

Really? He stomps around reminding people? LOL

    • SnoodleDumpling says:

Yeah, that was the line that stood out to me too. That was a VERY deliberate dig, even as they were agreeing with William.

  65. Coco says:

The sculpture will probably turn out to be very tasteful, but I can’t stop imagining it will resemble the infamous Confederate general equestrian statue (Nathan Forrest) where he looks likes a crazed cartoon character.

  66. jazzbaby1 says:

Please. She wasn’t coming in any case, he’s just trying to look strong and decisive.

  67. Mooney says:

Three guesses (again) who made the skin colour comments?

Even if this is true (most probably not), why are there so many stories these days how Princess William can’t stand Meghan? Earlier he didn’t want her to wear Diana’s and crown jewels, then he was incandescent that she kept her child’s birth private and didn’t reveal the godparents, and these all stories…does he think getting involved in women’s business makes him look good?

Methinks, I know many have stated before,he had eyes on Meghan, and not in a good way. He didn’t want her to be his brother’s wife, but maybe thought of her in THAT way. There are literally pictures of him checking her out not in a good way, one in her wedding, one when she wore that gorgeous black dress in some RAF event and Harry looked furious. And Meghan probably politely turned him down, and he’s been engorged since then…

  68. jferber says:

    JustMe, you are exactly right.

  69. jferber says:

Chelsea, spot-on. The optics alone are abominable, yet the fulminating Brits don’t even see it. It seems that America and England are going through dangerous states of madness (folie a deux). I hope we can all recover and act normally again, but it’s not looking good.

  70. Jaded says:

William is using his late mother’s memorial to bash Harry and Meghan. What a dreadful, selfish and insensitive thing to do. I’m sure Diana is looking down thinking “what monster did I create?”

    • Tessa says:

and just a few weeks ago he used the word Paranoid in reference to his own mother.

  71. Robin says:

    William is a man obsessed.

  72. A says:

As much as I loathe baldmort this sounds like a media created story. You know what I would like to know one day is how many papers are able to sell with just Balding and/or Kate on the cover vs Harry and Meghan. I’ve got this feeling that both Cambridge’s and the press find themselves in the same boat like they were all set to write/play out the Sussex vs Cambridge narratives over the next couple of years and then like some kind of divine intervention they were just cut off. Now the staff that were making money trashing the Sussex’s are forced to do the job they are actually paid for which means selling that their bosses are the best (which in turn means less money for them), the Cambridge’s have to be seen as doing legit impactful work (as opposed to just doing actual work!), and the press is either forced to just print fawning stories about the Cambridge’s ( never asking serious questions) or just make up stories about two people who they will never get access to. With the lesson ultimately being be careful what you wish for!

  73. jferber says:

Jaded, all that is bad in him comes from his father.

  74. Tessa says:

Harry sees the viciousness and how Meghan is being called horrible names and presumed guilty of “bullying staff.” I know he wants to honor his mother, but I think anybody would feel uncomfortable and horrified associating with his brother and sister in law who loathe his wife and want her “ruined.”

  75. Sarah says:

Ok let me get this straight. She had a baby almost 3 weeks ago andddddddddd they expected her and her newborn child and young kid to fly out overseas. LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
I am totally confused as to why this would be good for the Team Sussex brand when from the comfort of Montecito all she has to do is sneeze and a news story will come out. Also, she just dropped a book that is a NY Times bestseller…. I am going to need the tabloids to do better with their stories.

  76. Tessa says:

I think there were always issues with William but he was protected by the media and the family. I was put off by him when he told his parents they could not attend the Parents Lunch at Eton and he invited Tiggy instead. That was just plain bratty and he probably did other things like that when he got older.
