In my house, we occasionally quote “Futbol is life!!” just because. We love him, and that show, so much.

My sister came and visited me a couple of weekends ago (after not seeing her for a year and a half), and we plopped down to watch the latest episode of Ted Lasso, which she got us onto in the first place (she thinks my boyfriend is basically real life Ted Lasso). Anyway, as soon as Danny Rojas came on the screen, we both said, “Futbol is life!” and then we looked at each other at the same time and said, “Futbol is deaaatttthhhhhh!”

I also hope the Sam character gets some fame from Ted Lasso, i have enjoyed his larger role this season.

Aaah this is great! we will watch it tonight (we watch all the late shows on reruns the next day lol.) He’s so good in Ted Lasso.

And so here is your daily Ted Lasso plug – its the best show! it makes me so happy! every episode is just so heartwarming, even when some parts are sad. It’s just a reminder of how much happiness goodness can bring, you know? Ted Lasso is just so good and kind and he makes everyone around him better because of that.

I can’t wait for tomorrow to watch the new episode. I come from Croatia – a football country – and I always said I’d never be with a guy into football. Cause they can be such ___________. Fill in the lines with someting stupid. Few years later, here I am with an English guy, totally into football and pints, going to the games in England, being the loudest ref enemy and watching Ted Lasso with a big smile on my face. Never say never, I guess.

I checked 13 of 19 and it told me that i scored higher than 76% of people.

I do have a so-called “high IQ,” but I’m biased against IQ tests because while I test well. some people don’t and that doesn’t automatically make them less intelligent than others. My uncle is incredibly bright, but as he is dyslexic he tests poorly.

I come from a very smart family, even if we’ve done nothing with it. My mother is the odd one out – she’s the most intellectually incurious person I’ve ever known. We’ve just never understood one another. She doesn’t understand why I’d rather read a book or watch a documentary than go out and get drunk and dance and I don’t get how she’s gotten by for thirty plus years with reading nothing but Harlequin romance “novels.”

I am highly offended that it told me to “try reading.” I’m not sure I could read much more than I already do! Unless I gave up my day job or caring for my child…..

Dani Rojas Dani Rojas Dani Roooojaaas! Love him so much on Ted Lasso.

Dany Rojas is the best. I have to say, so far, I’m not enjoying the 2nd season as much as the first, but I still have hope. I do believe anything holiday related is allowed to be cheesey, so I’m not mad at the Christmas episode. Definitely still watching. I just think this season the character growth is way too fast to be believed. I dont believe Jamie Tart would “get it” and participate in a team protest in one episode, for example. I think Sam making a stand and protesting could have been multiple episodes, and I’m confused about why we haven’t seen more from the sport psychologist. She seems to be just sitting there and observing. That would cost a fortune, so is Richmond hiring her to observe practices in the background? And who is paying for this? And also, does Ted have the power to just hire a 4th coach? Basically, for me it’s giving off a lot of Full House vibes in season 2 as opposed to the growth and vulnerability of season 1. I still have hope and I think the acting is great and I’ll still watch it, but I hope it’s true that this first bit of season 2 was just setting things up and the plot will develop for the rest of the season.

My parents were visiting me last week and so we watched the first season of Ted Lasso with them. After Dani was introduced my dad has not stopped shouting “football is life!” and will replace the football part with anything else he’s enjoying. Lots of “brisket is life!” and “ice cream is life!” going on now. My poor mom…

I have an irrational dislike for the talking M & M commercials. The food talks, there’s cannibalism (M’s eating M’s or trying to) and the occasional celebrity trying to corner an M & M for a snack.

I know they are intended to be funny but I just can’t.

  9. Sound so innovative!! It’s so mesmerizing to read this
