Just went to buy Patton Oswalt tickets and crap, he’s in Seattle on NYE! I’ve got standing plans elsewhere. Bummer.

Also: will be binging Matrix movies with my teenagers and taking them to the new one. Can’t wait.

  2. Mabs A'Mabbin says:

    Another Matrix? 🥳

  3. Rapunzel says:

Whoever put Jefferson Airplane in that trailer deserves a raise. The song made the thing epic.

    • TeamAwesome says:

YES! And the arrangement is fabulous!

    • Becks1 says:

Grace Slick’s vocals on this song always get me. Just so good.

    • Digital Unicorn says:

Oh yes – i love that song anyway and hopefully they put this version on the soundtrack.

    • Imara219 says:

Thank You! I was going crazy trying to figure out where I know that song from. One of my favorites from that group. How could I ever forget it?

    • Kaykay says:

That song would make any trailer look fuego!!!

I am also a huge Matrix fan and remember clearly when I saw the first movie on my cousins pixely 14″ TV. I was mind. blown. I can’t wait to see it.

  4. steph says:

    Yes to Carrie Ann Moss!

  5. reef says:

Idk why this trailer gave me so many feels. I just love Keanu Reeves so much and any movie where Keanu is pining for a lost love, I’m there.

    • NotSoSocialButterfly says:

He is the internet’s boyfriend, after all.

    • Hrefna says:

Vulnerable Keanu is the best Keanu! I’m 100% here for Matrix 4, it looks wonderful. So glad I can watch it on HBO at home too, it will make for a fun, pandemic safe, Christmas activity! I love that in Trinity he has an age appropriate love interest too. Other Hollywood dudes should watch and take notes.

  6. ML says:

I like Keanu Reeves, but it’s bugging the hell out of me that I’m supposedly looking at Neo and all I see is John Wick.
Irina Shayk’s bangs aren’t bad, and I like that she didn’t choose a thick fringe that obscures her eyes. That said, I wish that she had brushed back that one strand of hair out of her face.

    • notasugarhere says:

Looks more like everyday Keanu Reeves than John Wick to me. Wick, when he isn’t being pursued by half the world’s population, is far more stylish and put together than the character in this trailer.

      • ML says:

Okay, I can get behind that. He just doesn’t look like Neo.

      • notasugarhere says:

IMO that’s going to be the point, given what we’ve seen in this trailer. Thomas is supposed to believe the Matrix, Neo, Neo’s infinite iterations and remainders, and Trinity never existed. That he’s an everyday 50 something living in ‘the real world’, having mental health issues, and experiencing trigger dreams of an imaginary life lived 20 years ago. But we have to wait until Christmas to find out!

    • Guildish says:

It’s Neo’s sleekness, long black coat and sunglasses that are missing. Costume wise. Personality wise he seems lost and undecisive. We’ll have to assume all the years plugged into the power generator fighting off Mr. Smith has taken it’s toll and he’s lost his way a little bit. At least in this movie. I’m sure in the 5th movie there’ll be a return to our regular Neo!

    • Kaykay says:

Hahaha I agree. Very good point. They should’ve cut his hair, for sure.

  7. smcollins says:

Yep, I’m now totally excited for this. Can’t wait!

    • BothSidesNow says:

Neither can I!! May I say, possibly an unpopular opinion, but I loved John Wick, but the 2 following movie franchises let me down. I am also not a fan of franchises to begin with, but when it comes to Keanu Reeves, I will watch it, hands down! Though, the first is still my favorite!! I am judge mental about franchises as they seem to have one great idea, which does well, but it’s loses its original luster after the first, but that’s me.

As for T. C., he will be staring in Mission Impossible until he’s ‘80! He assumes he is that great of an actor, meh….though I refuse to pay money OR watch any of his movies!!

      • SomeChick says:

have you seen the one where he’s part of a dysfunctional family of drunks and addicts, and it’s all a low production values morality play? soooooo bad… but, young Keanu!

  8. Larry says:

Didn’t Matrix start filming after Cruise’s latest Mission Impossible began to film? (random side rant – what the hell are the Mission Impossible movies about anymore, cause I lost all sense of what the plot was).

    • booboocita says:

I honestly can’t remember the plots of ANY of the M:I movies. They’re two minutes of dialogue and exposition sandwiched between ten minute bouts of Cruise doing something extreme like jumping off a building or riding a motorcycle at top speed through traffic, wrong way. I remember a bit of the last one because Simon Pegg was amusing and Henry Cavill reloaded his guns (!), but other than that … it’s all a blank.

  9. Alexandria says:

    Woah.

Entered existential adulthood with the first Matrix and now I’m 40. Definitely not gonna miss it.

  10. Seraphina says:

I am here for Patton taking down Cruz and Keanu!

  11. NotSoSocialButterfly says:

Doogie Howser, MD as the psychiatrist????

    • Agreatreckoning says:

See, now, between White Rabbit and Doogie, I want to watch the Matrix series. I enjoy John Wick. Great marketing. Enjoyed Hailey R.’s version of White Rabbit (Jefferson Airplane’s is the best) in the 2nd ep of season 1 of A Discovery of Witches). Yea, that song appeared in some emotional scenes. Platoon, Supernatural, The Game, Sopranos, Big Little Lies…

  12. Kath says:

Keanu and Jonathan Groff are two of the nicest people in show business. I’m watching the old Matrix movies this weekend to properly prepare because I’ll definitely be watching this one

    • Jess says:

Interesting because I’ve only ever heard that Groff is an insufferable asshole

      • Kath says:

Wow, I’m a big broadway fan and I never heard one bad thing about J Groff, like literally nothing ever. People are always complimenting him like crazy actually. Where have you heard that he is an asshole?

  13. SusanRagain says:

    Mmmmm, Keanu! 💕💕
Take my money. Matrix 4 and John Wick 4 I will be ready when Keanu is!

  14. Monica says:

Does anyone actually have GOOD bangs?

  15. Jessica says:

I think I understand what a “sigma male” is, but what is a “grindset”?

  16. SomeChick says:

not surprised about Beck and Marissa, since he’s declared himself an SP and she’s a scilon princess.
