Happy for Elvira!
My love for Elvira goes back to my childhood (her tv jingle is playing in my head as I type). I’m happy to hear of her happiness.
I wish her old shows — with the old horror movies — were in syndication. Such fun late-night watching!
I have seen them very recently via Shout! TV. They have a website where they stream programs and they have a channel you can watch if you have an internet ready Samsung TV. It’s where I get to watch marathons of Mystery Science 3000 shows too every Monday. They ran an Elvira marathon either this past Friday or Saturday.
I knew Elvira (well, Cassandra) years ago when I was a kid living on the west coast. Her niece, who she had a major hand in raising, and I were school mates and friends. Cassandra was legit the “cool mom” that we all wanted to hang out with. I remember when she divorced but had no idea she has been dating someone else. To be fair I haven’t seen her in like 15 years. Anyway, she’s a classy and cool lady and I’m happy for her.

Doesn’t surprise me. He’s always been a cockwomble. My dad has been a fan of his for years, but I think he’s changed his mind about him in light of recent news. He didn’t know about any of it until I told him, and he got this pained look on his face when I told him about his latest song, lol. Good for Elvira and her partner! If she felt uncomfortable coming out because of her fanbase’s expectations of her, I really can’t help but wonder how many other celebrities are in the closet. It’s sad to think about.
