Here are some couple photos from Saturday night’s opening gala for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in LA. Whoever put the invitation list together did a great job of mixing it up with young and established figures. Kaia Gerber attended the gala with her boyfriend Jacob Elordi. They’re a very photogenic couple, and they both wore Celine. I think this dress is kind of perfect for her? She seems to be at a healthier-looking weight too.
Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom attended. It’s a little bit strange that they’ve become this established couple at Hollywood events now, but sure. She wore Louis Vuitton and it looks like cheap vinyl.
Halle Berry attended with her current boyfriend, Van Hunt. She wore this Etro minidress which suited the occasion but was too puffy-sleeved for my taste.
Benedict Cumberbatch & Sophia Hunter. Who allowed this man to shave? Why did he get a haircut?? SOB. He was looking so good in Venice and Toronto and now this?? Bendy wore Armani but I don’t have an ID on Sophie’s dress. She wears a lot of Erdem, so maybe this is Erdem.

Yes, it’s so sad because her round, wide-blue-eyed look defined her. This ages her 10 years…she looks like the first wife of a Texan millionaire.

Kaia looks bland as usual. I wish I could erase that picture of Orlando Bloom’s dick from my memory. I kind of like Halle’s dress. Her figure is stunning.
I thought the dress was a little too old for her. Or maybe it was her styling? But nothing about the look struck me as youthful or original/fresh. She’s soooo young and that look would perfectly suit her mom.

I legitimately thought he was Luke Evans, who is a seriously hot man, but yeah….Lay off it, Orlando Bloom, unless you want the world at large to think you are Luke Evans, a man who is aging gracefully, which you are not.
Kaia’s dress is pretty. She has a very tiny face, doesn’t she? I don’t like any of the other dresses.
I’m always thrown when women wear makeup on their faces/necks that is a shade or two (or more!) lighter than their bodies! Ladies, MATCH your foundation to the rest of your skin, or dial back on the fake tanners. That’s all I can see when I look at Kaia (I STILL don’t know how she’s a model on her own merit. She does NOT have “it”; she’s like white bread with a dollop of mayo…Kraft mayo at that).
Katy looks so much better with dark hair, but that dress!! Looks like it was fashioned out of Hefty bags that were pulled too tightly around her. She’s so pretty; it shouldn’t be so hard to dress her.
Halle is a stunning woman, but as we said in the Olivia Culpo post, a woman shouldn’t have to be half naked. And yes, those sleeves are hideous. Halle has had some gorgeous dresses where she looks sexy and classic. This full, short skirt… while she has KILLER legs, not loving the skirt, looks like something a pre-tween would wear (sans the plunging neckline, of course!).
People say she is Cindy’s mini- me, I see more of her Dad. She has Cindy’s brows and hair, but those eyes are all Rande.
Every time I see a picture of Kaia, I see Rachel Bilson more than anyone else.

Wow, Kaia is winning me over with her classic style. It is so nice to see a young girl dressing in an elegant, timeless manner, rather than belly shirts, baggy jeans, boobs and butt hanging out, etc. What a refreshing alternative to the Kardashian “trash” look. Bring back elegance, oui! They are a very photogenic couple.
Katy looks middle aged here, as does Orlando. And I say that as a middle aged woman. sigh. I think something other than shiny leather would have been more flattering, though she looks very pretty post partum.
This is the first time I have seen Halle Berry looking anything less than amazing. She is still extremely beautiful, but the chunky heels are perhaps making her legs appear larger (as in Jessica Simpson) and that is not the most flattering look. From the waist up, she looks incredible.
I love Sophie’s dress. They as a couple are rather bland.
I thought the same thing about Halle’s dress. She has a banging bod, and the dress makes her thighs look chunky.
Maybe this isn’t the way to look at it, but sometimes when I see meh dresses on the red carpet and it’s not a contract situation, I just think if I had those resources and that face and that body, is that what I would wear? In Kaia’s place, absolutely no. Imagine it in a non neutral color, and it could be dazzling. I understand sometimes you want to be understated but to me that looked like dishwater.
Kaia’s the best dressed here by a mile in her sparkly elegant slip dress. I know people here say she looks more like her dad but all I see is young Cindy when I look at her. And Jacob Elordi gets around lol, last time I checked I thought he was with Zendaya.

Sophie Hunter’s dress reminds me of a peacock with all the turquoise detailing which also really brings out her blue eyes. It’s okay.

Jacob looks like a younger Justin Trudeau. Not a huge Bendy fan but he looks nice here, as does Sophie. Hate Halle and Katy’s dresses.

This might be one of Sophie’s best looks, I love her jewellery and her makeup is gorgeous. If I were a celebrity I’d be choosing her style of dresses for red carpets, so flattering and comfortable looking.
