Barbara Corcoran made a disgusting ‘fat joke’ at Whoopi Goldberg’s expense

whoopi 2

There’s been a new, happier energy on The View since Meghan McCain stormed off in a huff. Whoopi Goldberg is in a good vibe, Ana Navarro is chatty and those two have each other’s backs. So when Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran was on the show on Thursday, she thought she was in the mix and part of the vibe. Her Karen self thought she could say something massively bitchy to Whoopi. Ana was like “NOT TODAY.” They’re talking about jeans:

Whoopi asked, self-deprecatingly, if the jeans will “fit this COVID [ass]?” Sunny and Ana both assured her that the jeans would fit, and then Barbara pipes up: “And when you get finished with those jeans and decide you don’t like them, give them to me. I’m gonna make two pairs.” Ana immediately swiped at Barbara for wearing the same dress as Jill Biden.

Barbara knew she f–ked up, it just took her a minute. She posted this video after the interview:

Well, she owns up to the fact that “I made a joke at Whoopi’s expense which I now realize wasn’t funny.” Then the apology itself is stupid: “for anyone I may have offended…” Lady, you clearly offended Whoopi, Ana and the entire audience of The View.

Whoopi was clearly hurt. People really need to learn to think before they speak. Ana is a great defender.

  2. BlueSky says:

You come for Whoopi you come for all
    of us.

  3. Amy Bee says:

What she shoud have also done was own up to her fat phobia.

  4. Solidgolddancer says:

    Barbara really tried it…

  5. Esma says:

Wow that was so uncalled for

  6. Lucy2 says:

Ouch. I can’t believe she said that, I mean…what part of her brain thought that would be remotely funny? And the if I offended apology is never good.

  7. Noki says:

Whoopi has been sick she even uses a walker not to mention she was hit really bad with covid. How insensitive!

  8. Angie says:

Lmao Ana was QUICK. I love a friend who doesn’t make you stand up for yourself in a moment like that.

  9. Jezz says:

Beautiful funny cool Whoopi. Step off ugly dress lady.

  10. Emma says:

Now imagine how Barbara Corcoran talks to people who *aren’t* famous, powerful, millionaire media stars. She’ll probably have an excuse like she came up in a toxic misogynistic racist environment at work so it’s okay just like Katie Couric’s defenders say.

She saw a Black woman and figured she could just say whatever she wanted to her. No more.

    • pottymouth pup says:

I don’t think this is racism, this is clearly fat phobia which, unfortunately, is still very much socially acceptable

  11. FHMom says:

I can’t stand that Barbara person. I don’t watch Shark Tank, but she was on an episode of Say Yes to the Dress and she was awful. The bride in question was a friend’s daughter or her goddaughter, something like that. I kept thinking, ‘Who the hell is this person and why is she here?” I’m glad Ana jumped in there. Fat jokes are not funny. How does she not know this?

  12. Willow says:

The whole audience gasped immediately! And ‘if I offended any of you’…when will people learn that is not an apology.
Plus, if the BTS ARMY finds this out, Barbara is going to get some comments from them online. When Whoopi and BTS were on the Graham Norton show together and they explained the meaning behind their Love Myself campaign, she immediately stood up and said ‘I’m going to give you my shirt’, unbuttoned the shirt she was wearing (over her dress) that she had designed herself. And handed it right to them. One of them wore in the airport on the ride home. Barbara, you’re in danger girl…

  13. CROOKSANDNANNIES says:

The look on Whoopi’s face- it hurt her. Whoopi has a great sense of humor and will likely take this humorless POS’ “joke” in stride. But she shouldn’t have to, and that doesn’t mean it didn’t sting.

  14. souperkay says:

I wish someone would have pushed Barb on air to explain how her joke was funny. Oh, you’re so small that Whoopi is twice the size as you? And why is that funny? Do you want a cookie for that, oh wait, you can’t, your fear of fat won’t let you enjoy anything besides looking like a rotten desiccated orange slice. You’re so shallow you’re a dried out slice of fruit that nobody gets joy from ol Barb, when you cling to their sugary & delicious drinks, you get wadded up in a napkin, you empty headed soulless woman. You survive by clinging to things that other people have made and everyone knows it. All that money you spend to look like a dehydrated leather car seat with all the stuffing sucked out & Whoopi still looks better than you. Ain’t enough foundation or powder in the world to fill what you make your surgeon suck out, leaving crags, mountains, and valleys on your empty, joyless face.

    • CROOKSANDNANNIES says:

I think she was rude, cruel, and out of line. But insulting her appearance is just playing her game. I think we should leave everyone’s appearance out of our criticisms of them in case it is relevant, like in the case of plastic surgery’s dangerous influence on young women, etc.

    • lucy2 says:

I wouldn’t go after her own appearance, but I have always loved the method of pressing people to explain why they thought something was funny, or asking them to repeat an offensive comment.

  15. FrodoOrOdo says:

Is this heifer saying it would have been okay if it was funny….

    Because no, ma’am

  16. OriginalLala says:

Barbara comes off as deeply anti-woman and a total d*ck on Shark Tank, not surprised she would think that is a funny “joke”..ugh.

  17. jferber says:

Ana Novarro is a very wonderful addition to the show. She is a woman warrior and is a kick-ass defender of democracy. For a sample, watch her in a talk panel where some MAGA blond objects to the word “pussy,” claiming her 13 year old daughter is watching. Ana decimates her neatly and is a goddess. Please watch. You will be a disciple of Ana’s for life.

  18. Chantal says:

Just beyond ignorant. Whoopi should respond and tell Barbara to either issue a real apology or stfu. I’m tired of people thinking it’s okay to belittle Black women.

  19. Nikki* says:

So insensitive, and Whoopi’s feelings were hurt.

  20. LadySwampwitchGivsneaufux says:

Whoopi is all class. That woman is grrrr. What a jerk. In what setting would that have been funny or appropriate? none.

  21. Another Anna says:

I hope Barb enjoyed her time on The View because she absolutely just bought herself a lifetime ban.

  22. Nev says:

    Dumb dumb.

  23. Amando says:

Wow, what a cruel stupid joke. And a couple of the other hosts laughed at it too. I hate the “to those who I offended” part of a non-apology. I don’t even know who that lady is, but she definitely sucks at saying she’s sorry.

  24. t'otter says:

I would love to see this vile bitch show us even one piece from her wardrobe that is ‘handmade-from-hand-me-downs’.

  25. HeyJude says:

I had to click this to even see who the hell Barbara Corcoran even was and still find she’s a -zz list reality show person. That’s some damn gall to have for being this irrelevant, lady.

You dare saying shit about the first M’Fing black EGOT winner?!!!!

Whoopi’s got an Oscar, Globe, Tony and Grammy in her stashed in her jeans that’s all I know.

  26. PixiePaperdoll says:

That apology video freaked me out. It’s like an adult head and hands on a child’s body.

  27. Barbie1 says:

What a nasty piece of work. Loathe her.

  28. Melanie P says:

    Feel better Whoopi…we love you gurl… 💕

  29. Kristen says:

I think that she wasn’t thinking and said something stupid. I don’t think she was ill-intentioned. I can’t imagine how many stupid things I would say on camera.
